Adrian Wells pov

I stare out the window of the Hogwarts express bored out of my mind. Seemingly endless fields of green grass stretch out as far as I could see. I tried to think of what my years at Hogwarts would be like. Would I enjoy any of them or would they all be disappointments ?

The green fields faded into forests the only indication that the train was getting closer to Hogwarts. All of the sudden the door to my compartment was opened. Turning I saw a bushy haird girl.

" Have you seen a toad? Neville has lost his." She said as a chubby boy's head appeared above her shoulder.

" No, I can't say that I have." I drawled mildly annoyed at the interruption.

Thankfully the girl closed the door and left with the boy I assumed was Neville.

" Lost toad." I said to myself. " How uninteresting."

Looking back out at the forest I resumed thinking. After a while the forest gave way to a lake and soon after the train finally stopped at the station. Getting up I was grateful I had decided to show up in my school robes so I didn't have to change. Departing the train I heard a bellowing voice calling out for the first years. Heading in the direction of the voice I noticed the bushy haired girl and the chubby boy from earlier also heading that way.

A giant man stood surrounded by the crowd of first years including myself. He then beckoned us over to a bunch of boats. I ended up having to share a boat with a redheaded girl and her blond friend. Thankfully they were both so busy chatting with each other I was able to tune them out. Coming out of a cave to see the castle bathed in moonlight was breathtaking. It also showed that the boat ride was clearly an aesthetic choice by the school, only the first years had to take the boats which took longer and had a stunning view of the castle. Now even with that rationalization the view was still magical.

Arriving at the castle myself and the other first years were led to a set of doors. Standing in front of the doors I tapped my foot impatiently. I noticed an obnoxious looking blond boy talking to a boy with green eyes and black hair. Probably nothing interesting I thought to myself as an old woman in green robes came out and beckoned us into the great hall while explaining how the sorting would work.

Author's Note:

So any guesses or suggestions as to what house Adrain will go into?

Unlike my Yu-Gi-Oh GX story this is probably going to be updated weekly or biweekly instead of daily simply because it starts at canon instead of starting ten years before canon so i have to track all of the movie canon pieces and figure out how they move based on everyone's actions.

I am however intrigued to try and right a character that is just perpetually bored. Plus playing Hogwarts Legacy and comparing how my friends played it showed that magical combat could be surprising intricate or just plan brutal. So I'm excited to try my hand at writing it when i get to places where combat is totally a viable option. Unfortunately it probably won't be for most of the Philosophers Stone.

Please consider reviewing, if nothing else they do motivate me to work faster.
