[Arriving an apartment]

Sonica: You're very strong. I hope I'm not tiring you.

Knuckles[blushes] what..no. Enchinas are very strong.

[Knuckles climbed up the stairs and knocked on the door. A female Echidna opened the door.]

F/E[gasp happily] Knuckles! [Notices sonica] oh who is this young lady?

Knuckles: mom this is sonica, sonica this is my mom.

Sonic: Nice to meet you ms…ugh

F/E: Lara-Le but you can call me Lara dear.

Sonica: Nice to meet you lara.

Lara: nice to meet you too dear.[ looks up to knuckles.] So what brings you here?

Knuckles: I need your help. Long story short sonica got attacked by bandits and her leg is broken.

Lara: Oh dear, take her inside and put her on the couch.

[ knuckles did just that.]

Lara:Wyn,can you get the first aid kit? Wyn:Sure dear.

[A brown echidna came in with a white first aid.]

Wyn:Here you go darling. [Handing her the kit.]

Lara:Thanks dear.

Sonica[confused] uh, who was he?

Lara: he's my husband and knuckles's stepfather, Wynmacher.

Sonica: stepfather?

Knuckles: that means he's not my biological father.

Sonica[uncertain] oh.

[Lara finished wrapping sonica's leg and Wynmacher came in and gave lara crouches.]

Lara[gave sonica the crouches and helped her up.] There you go dear. Sonica:Thank you.

Lara:No problem dear.

Knuckles: thanks mom, now I got to help sonica get back.

[After a final goodbye knuckles helped sonica walk out. After a while they stopped in the forest not far from the master emerald altar.]

Knuckles[layed sonica on a big rock.] Okay we'll take a break here.

Sonica: thank you for everything. So knuckles do you live with your mom?

Knuckles:Oh no I don't live in Echidnaopolis.

[Sonica turned to knuckles confused] Knuckles: the city we were in.

Sonic:Oh.

Knuckles:Where do you live? I can take you back.

[Sonic saddened]

Sonica: I don't have a home.

Knuckles[Shocked] you don't have a home.

Sonica[shakes her head] no for as long I can remember. I mostly travel.

Knuckles[sympathy] oh I'm sorry.

Sonica: Well I better get going before it gets dark.

[Sonica tried to get up bit knuckles laid her back down]

Knuckles: no you get out there. Not while your hurt,you can stay with me.

Sonica: Oh I don't want to be any trouble besides you already did so much for me.

Knuckles[gets up] It's no trouble at all. I gotta go get my dad.

Sonica[confused] why.

Knuckles:Let's say that he's in charge of the safety and keeps intruders out. So I got to introduce you to him. I'll be back[ leaves]

Sonic:okay.[ breathes in]

[Suddenly a gold wrap ring appears and the albino enchina steps out,walking silently to sonica and put his hand on her shoulder;starting sonica. Sonic turns around with a gasp.]

Finitevus[ Smirks showing his sharp teeth.] Remember me?

Sonica[cross his arms and glared at him.] You scared me.

Finitevus[Chuckles] my apologies. So anything to report?

Sonica:not much. Knuckles so far took me to his mother's place to get my leg fixed up,and now he's getting his father.

Finitevus[loses his smirk]Hmm. Not much progress but it'll do for now.

Sonica: Doctor,I'm still getting that feeling that this way of fixing the world is wrong.

Finitevus: sonica trust me. This is the only way.

Sonica[Doubtful] not that I want to doubt you but are you sure?

Finitevus: sonica, who created you , made you who you are today? Who taught you about this world? Tell me who?

Sonica[sigh] you did.

Finitevus[grins] I did right. Now remember the plan. You gain the Guardian's trust and when you get to the master emerald take it and come back here. Understand?

Sonica[nodded]

Finitevus[pets sonic's head] good girl.

[Finitevus threw his warp ring about to walk through it but stopped]

Finitevus: remember that your here on duty,don't play around.[ walk through the ring and disappeared]

Sonica[mumbled] when I'm on the job I never played around.

[Sonica thought about the past and the similar conversation]

Past finitevus: now sonica the world is corrupted with pain,suffering and worst of all technology. The world must be purged with fire and begin again from the ashes.

Past sonica: are you sure this is the only way?

Past finitevus: yes,the corruption is strong and it must be destroyed.

Sonica[unsure] I guess
