Sonic was running through the desert when Tails and Knuckles came flying by in the Tornado 2.
You wake up, it's raining and it's Monday
"Hey look! It's Sonic!" Tails said and lowered the plane to greet Sonic.
"Yo Tails! Long time no see!" Sonic said.
"Sonic! Check this out!" he said and held out a letter from Eggman.
Sonic jumped and grabbed it, then started reading it.
"Muhahahaha! Guess what, Sonic Heroes... I've finally developed the ultimate weapon! In three days, I'll conquer the world. Think you can stop me? Ahahahaha!" holographic Eggman said.
"Hmm... sounds like an invitation to party!" Sonic said.
"What are we gonna do, Sonic..." Tails asked.
"No worries, we've got this one." Knuckles said.
"Heh, think I'd miss this?! Time to crack that Eggman wide open... Yeah, let's party!" Sonic said and Tails and Knuckles jumped off the plane and followed her through the desert.
Looks like one of those rough days
Rouge dropped down into one of Eggman's vaults. Then she cautiously put her back to the door and entered the pass code on the keypad, and the vault opened. She walked inside.
"This must be it! I've found Eggman's secret treasure!" she said and approached Shadow, who was resting motionless in a stasis machine.
Suddenly, Omega boots up, marched forward and scanned Shadow and Rouge. Rouge operated the control panel and drained Shadow's stasis machine, freeing him, and the hatch opened. The moment Shadow opened his eyes, Omega violently tore up the place with gunfire. Shadow leapt forward and tackled Rouge to the ground.
"Stay here." he said.
"Shadow!" Rouge said.
Omega continued blasting his weapons around and tried to aim for Shadow, but he dodged his bullets easily.
"Must eradicate all Eggman's robots!" Omega said.
"Huh?" she said and Shadow resisted Omega's gunfire and jumped at him in retaliation, but she intercepts and broke up the fight. "Hey, hold up!" she said and feeling tired, looked around the wrecked room then sat on a ledge. "Now I get it... now I know what this is all about. You're mad at Eggman for sealing you in this room." she said to Omega. "And you... you can't remember anything, can you?" she said to Shadow who didn't respond, but she took it as a no. "Then it's settled. Now you two make up so we can start looking for Eggman, together!" she said then jumped down and pulled them closer and put Shadow's hand above Omega's, and then placed her hand on top. "Aw yeah, baby, this makes us a team!"
Time's up, you're late again
It was a sunny but windy day at the beach. Amy was lounging on a deckchair on the pier with Cream resting on a parasol, while "Follow Me" plays in the background. Amy is looking at an image of Sonic, Froggy and Chocola in a newspaper article.
"Ahh... I wonder where Sonic is?" Amy said then the wind suddenly picked up and blew the paper away. "Oh no!"
Amy tried and failed to grab the paper. Cream flew up and also made an attempt, but failed.
"Oh!" Cream said.
Cheese swiftly soared forward and grasped the paper, much to Amy's relief.
"Chao!" Cheese said.
"Wooo..." Amy said while Cream and Cheese dropped down to the ground.
"Amy, please be more careful with our only clue." Cream said.
"You're right, I'm sorry."
The wind blew even harder now, strong enough to lift Cream into the sky despite her attempt to cling on to the pier.
"Aah! Aah!" she said.
Then Big cast his fishing line into the air and hooked her. Then he reeled her in, bounced her on his umbrella and caught her in his arm.
"Hoh!" Big said.
"Nice catch, Big!" Amy said.
"Huhuhuhu..." he said and he and Cream gazed longingly at Froggy and Chocola in the picture in the article. "Froggy..."
"Chocola..." Cream said.
"Hey you guys, cheer up! You know we'll find them! No time to waste just standing here. C'mon, let's get going!" Amy said.
"Okay!" Cream and Big said.
Then Amy and Cream rushed off on their adventure. Big stumbled to let them past, and then followed after them.
So get out the door (out the door)
It's a peaceful day at the Chaotix office. Vector was sitting at his desk listening to music on his headphones, bobbing his head to the music. Espio was resting quietly against a locker when he heard a buzzing noise.
"Hmm?" he said.
Suddenly, Charmy barged into the office carrying a package.
"It's here, yeah!" Charmy said.
"Whoaaa!" Vector said and Charmy crashed into him, knocking him off his chair, and the package was sent flying.
Espio whipped out a kunai and flung it and caught the package's string and left it hanging on the wall.
"What's wrong with you?!" Vector asked.
"It's here, it's here, we've got work!" Charmy said.
"WHAT?" Vector asked and he package opened and a walkie-talkie fell out and he frantically tried to grab it before it broke. "Whoaaa!"
Then he caught it and a mysterious client started speaking from it.
"I've heard good things about you and require your detective services. And I can pay handsomely!" the client said.
Dollar signs appeared in Vector and Charmy's eyes as they were elated by the thought of making a lot of money.
"I've got a bad feeling about this..." Espio said.
"Espio, don't be silly. Besides, you know our policy! We never turn down work that pays!" Vector said.
"Yeah, you know our policy!" Charmy said.
"Come on, boys. Let's go!"
"Yes, sir!"
Then Vector headed off, with Charmy following eagerly. Espio hesitated then went off with them.
"Roger!" he said.
Sometimes you feel like running
Later Team Sonic arrived at Grand Metropolis where futuristic cars were speeding through the modern city.
"Looks like Eggman escaped into the city." Knuckles said.
"Eggman's robots are taking control of everything!" Tails said.
"Let's find Eggman and show him the real power of teamwork!" Sonic said.
Find a whole new life, and jump in
Then they saw Team Rose waiting on a high platform in Grand Metropolis for them to show up.
"Gotcha! My darling Sonic!" Amy said.
"Amy, what are you doing here?" Sonic asked.
"Sonic, this time there's no way outta marrying me!" Amy said and Sonic groaned while Knuckles and Tails snickered.
Let go, get up and hit the dance floor
Meanwhile Team Dark was standing on a high platform in Grand Metropolis and Rouge spotted Team Chaotix on the other side.
"Man, who are those creeps over there?" Rouge asked.
Espio heard her and became wary.
"What's up, Espio?" Vector asked.
"And you are...?" Espio said.
They turned around to see Team Dark.
"Just whaddya think you're doing here?" Rouge asked.
"Who's this broad?" Vector asked.
"Our client's adversary, perhaps." Espio said.
"You mean the bad guys?!" Charmy said.
"You guys don't fool me. I know what you're after! Better stay outta my way!" Rouge said.
But when the lights go down
Meanwhile Amy was inspecting the defeated Eggman lying on the floor in Bullet Station. She was taken by surprise as an Eggman head sprung out of its stomach, revealing that it was merely a model set up as a decoy for the team.
"Muhahaha! Muhahaha!" the model said and Amy shook then stomped angrily.
"Hey! It's just a stupid copy!" she said.
Big was more focused on Froggy, as always, but was despondent.
"Froggy... where are you? Let's go home..." he said.
It's the ending of the show (ending of the show)
Meanwhile, Cheese was in melancholy about Chocola being missing.
"Cheese, what's wrong?" Cream asked.
"Chocola-Chao!" Cheese said.
"Yes..."
"A Chao-napping!" Amy said.
"But... why?"
"I'm not really sure, but betcha Dr. Eggman has something to do with it! And we're not gonna let him get away with it. C'mon, let's get outta here!"
"Chao!" Cheese said.
"Okay!" Cream said.
"Okie-dokie!" Big said and they headed off in pursuit of Eggman.
And you're feeling like you got nowhere to go
When The Chaotix defeated Eggman he was lying on the floor in Bullet Station. It appeared to be a model with an Eggman head on a spring sticking out of its stomach, set up as a decoy for the team.
"Good job, boys! Guess that Eggman was a fake after all." Vector said.
The client overheard him and accidentally broke character, nearly revealing his true identity. Vector was confused by this.
"Of course it was!" their client said.
"Huh?!" Vector said.
Fearing that the Chaotix might be suspicious, the client quickly changed the subject.
"Listen carefully... there's a jungle just to the north of here. Go there immediately!" he said.
"Got it!" Vector said and The Chaotix began to walk away.
"You know what? Our client sure seems to know a lot about this Dr. Eggman guy." Charmy said.
"Definitely an agent... a relative, perhaps." Espio said.
Vector looked back at the Eggman decoy.
"Strangely enough, I had the same weird feeling about our client's real identity. It could be you-know-who..." he said.
Don't you know?
When Team Dark defeated Eggman he was lying on the floor in Bullet Station. It appeared to be a model with an Eggman head on a spring sticking out of its stomach, set up as a decoy for the team.

Omega shook his fist in rage. Shadow stared menacingly at a damaged robot copy of himself on the floor, making Rouge concerned.
"Shadow..." she said.
"Let's go." Shadow said and they headed off. " Shadow said.
After they left, the Eggman decoy melted into a purple liquid and reformed into Neo Metal Sonic.
"Ultimate life form data... has been copied." Neo Mettle Sonic said.

"Muhahaha! Once again, you fools have been tricked!" model Eggman said.
"It's a fake?!" Tails said.
"From these canyons, watch as I conquer the world with my air fleet... And this time you can't stop me!"
Then Sonic turned to see an enormous armada of ships in the sky.
"Drats... a trap to stall for time!" Sonic said and ran off.
"Sonic!" Knuckles said and tried to catch up.

Meanwhile, Tails was deciphering the true nature of the Eggman decoy.
"It's not an Eggman robot." he said. "Sonic! Knuckles! Wait for me!" he said and ran off to Sonic an Knuckles.
After Tails left, the Eggman decoy melted into a purple liquid and reformed into Neo Metal Sonic.
"All life form data... successfully copied." Neo Metal Sonic said.

Meanwhile The Chaotix and Team Rose ran into each other in Frog Forest.
"Excuse me, Miss. I was wondering if I could ask you something." Vector said.
"If it's about a date, it'll have to wait!" Amy said.
"A DATE?! You think this is a joke, you little brat?"
"Now hand over that Chao, nice and easy..." Espio said.
Cream, slightly unnerved and hugged Cheese protectively.
"I betcha you're the ones who took Chocola-Chao." she said.
"What?!" Vector asked.
"It's not nice to tease my friends." Big said.
Charmy anticipated an epic battle and became excited.
"Yeah, time to rock 'n' roll!" he said.

Later Team Sonic was exploring Frog Forest while Team Dark was standing on a ledge above them. Then Shadow caught sight of the team.
"Look, it's that hedgehog..." Shadow said.
"Wonder what the big rush is all about? Betcha those guys will end up getting in my way and making trouble." Rouge said.
Knuckles noticed Team Dark above them.
"Hey, isn't that..." he said.
"Sonic!" Tails said.
"Heh. Talk about being stubborn and full of surprises..." Sonic said.
"Long time no see, boys and girl! Too bad you had to come all this way for nothing! We'll take it from here." Rouge said.
"What'd you say?" Knuckles asked.
"Sensors locked on Eggman. Non-compliant intruders will be destroyed." Omega said.
"Hmm, didn't you know? We have a date with Eggman, too." Sonic said.
'As usual.' she thought.
"Is that so... well then, it'll be a date to die for!" Shadow said.
"Hey! That's my line!"

Then Sonic and Shadow sprung into a battle.

Later the team was staring down at the defeated fake Eggman in his fortress.
"Eggman target completely destroyed." Omega said.

Rouge walked into a corridor lined with stasis capsules, each containing a robot clone of Shadow.
"Now let's find that secret treasure!" Rouge said and was taken by the scale of the room and the vast number of clones. "Ahh!" she said as Omega marched into the room.
"Prepare to destroy immediate area." Omega sad.
"Hey Omega... did I ever tell you that Shadow is a robot, and... oh, never mind. Good luck!"
"You know about cloning..." he said and she paused for thought while he proceeded down the corridor. "The original must exist somewhere."

Then Rouge left the room and rejoined Shadow outside.
"All this for what? Nothing! I might as well go look for that Master Emerald, since that irritating echidna is here." she said.
"Hah, some things never change, do they?" Shadow said.
"Whaddyasaying? What else is a famous treasure hunter supposed to do?"
Are waiting up wherever you go now (mmm)
Meanwhile Team Rose was staring down at the defeated phony Eggman in his fortress. The decoy melted into a black fluid and Froggy and Chocola emerged from the puddle. Big was ecstatic as he picked up and played with Froggy.
"FROGGY! Hehehehehe..." he said.
Cheese and Chocola flew towards each other and embrace happily.
"Chao Chao Chao Chao Chao!" Cheese said.

Then a voice could be heard from the black puddle.
"Chaos data... has been copied." Neo Metal Sonic sad.
"I'm so glad for you, Cheese!" Cream said.
"Huhuhehehe..." Big said.
"Amy Chao Chao!" Cheese said.
"Hahahaha!" Amy and Cream said.
'Cause, this world is big and it's crazy (it's crazy)
Cream spots Team Sonic a short distance away.
"Hey, isn't that miss Sonic over there?" she asked.
And this girl is thinking that, maybe
Amy reacted to this information and charged at Sonic.
"Aha! I gotcha, Sonic! SONIC!" Amy said.
"Hehehehe! Hahahaha!" Cream and Big said.
This life is what some people dream about (dream about)
Eggman's flagship violently exploded, causing a chain reaction damaging other ships in the Egg Fleet. Team Sonic were watching the pandemonium from an intact ship.
'Cause, when I'm feeling down, and I am all alone, whoa, oh
"Boy, talk about cutting it close..." Knuckles said.
"Eeh, not really." Sonic said.
"Come on, tell me you weren't scared. If it wasn't for us, you wouldn't of had a chance!" Knuckles said.
"Well, maybe you're right. Thanks Knuckles. You too, Tails."
"Ahehehe.." Tails said when Amy appeared out of nowhere and found Sonic.
"Aha! Gotcha, Sonic! SONIC!" she said and made a beeline for her.
I've always got a place where I can go
She ran off and tried to evade Amy.
"Later guys, I'm outta here!" Sonic said.
"Hey, wait up Sonic! Get back here!" Amy said and Knuckles snickered.
'Cause, I know
Meanwhile The Chaotix were staring down at the defeated phony Eggman in his fortress. The decoy melted into a black fluid.

"Guess he was a fake after all..." Vector said.
"What do you mean, "after all"?" Espio asked.
Vector dented the door of Eggman's capsule with his fists and ripped it open.
"We're here to save you! Dr. Eggman, I presume?" he asked.

Eggman glared back at them. Espio and Charmy were astounded.
"What's going on?" Espio asked.
"What's up?" Charmy asked.
"You knew it was me all along, didn't you?" Eggman said.
"It's all part of being a good detective." Vector said.
"Were we fooled that easily?" Espio asked.
"You're ROTTEN!" Charmy said.
"Hey, hold on you guys! It's no trick, and besides, I plan on paying you. You'll be rewarded handsomely for helping me! As soon as I conquer the world, I will pay you!" Eggman said.

The Chaotix paused in anger, knowing that Eggman won't keep this promise.
"Some nerve promising what you ain't got!" Vector said cracking his knuckles.
"We've been had!" Espio said.
"J-j-just wait a minute, just listen to me!" Eggman said.
Charmy was irate and has had enough.
"Take this you BAD MAN!" he said and charged forward, beat up Eggman and stung him all over.

Team Chaotix's storyline left off in Eggman's jail cell.

Later a vast thunderstorm was raging in Eggman's fleet. Team Sonic, Team Dark and Team Rose converged on Neo Metal Sonic, who was standing at the top of a tower.
"Hmmhmmhmmhmm... All living things kneel before your master!" Neo Metal Sonic said creating an electrifying plume of light from his palm which blew up the tower. " Neo Metal Sonic said.

Team Chaotix joined the others just in time to witness him undergo a transformation, and the teams watched on in horror. In a vortex of bright light and smoke, Neo Metal Sonic attached parts of the destroyed tower to himself and transformed into an immense metallic beast known as Metal Madness. Metal Madness let out a deafening roar.
"Metal Sonic has finally transformed!" Eggman said.
Where they know exactly who you are (back home)
Then an enormous horde of panicked Egg Pawns made a hasty retreat to escape Metal Madness.
"So that's Metal Sonic?!" Sonic said.
"It's useless! Metal Sonic has combined your data with the power of Chaos and is super strong! We can't defeat it! Even with your medallion! Aargh... if only we had the seven Chaos Emeralds!" Eggman said.
Where the real you is the superstar (back home)
Then Cream pulled out the yellow Emerald and showed it to him, and the others followed. Big had the purple one, Rouge had the white one, Omega had the green one, Sonic had the blue one, Espio had the red one and Charmy had the cyan one. Eggman was stunned at the sight of them.
You know it's never too far away
"What's this? But how? Even with the Emeralds' power, our chances for victory are slim. It would take a miracle!" he said.
"Just leave that to me, Doc..." Sonic said.
"Sonic, no!" Amy said.
"I'm going with you, too!" Tails said.
"Tails..." Sonic said.
"You can count me in, too." Knuckles said.
"Knuckles..."
"Okay guys, we'll buy you some time. That way you can use your super powers." Shadow said.

Team Dark, Team Rose and the Chaotix non-verbally affirmed that they'll fight in the upcoming battle. Tails and Knuckles stood by Sonic's side, who turned in a circle to address all his comrades at once.

"Okay then, let's get ready to do this. We'll show that creep the real super power of TEAM WORK!" Sonic said.

Having taken considerable damage, the furious Metal Madness flailed about and roared. Suddenly, his fingers burst off and were replaced by long, slender blades which resembled wings, making him airborne. He had transformed into Metal Overlord. With a flap of his wings, the metallic brute shot off into the skies. Team Sonic was ready for the next stage and nodded in agreement. As they placed their hands together, the Chaos Emeralds whirled rapidly around their heads. Sonic crossed his arms, closed his eyes and transformed into Super Sonic. Tails and Knuckles found themselves encased in a protective shield, levitate upwards and joined Sonic's side. Then they zoomed forward to finish Metal Overlord once and for all.

The defeated Neo Metal Sonic was crouched on the ground in hopelessness as Team Sonic rushed over to him. His body glowed white and he reverted back to ordinary Metal Sonic.

"It's no use... but why can't I defeat you?" Metal Sonic said.
"Heh. Because... we're Sonic Heroes!" Sonic said.

Then the other three teams arrived.

"Sonic!" Amy said.

"Anytime you want a rematch, just let me know. I'll be waiting." Sonic said and zipped away with Tails and Amy running after her.

"I guess I'm outta here, too. I think I'll go hunt for someone else's treasure." Rouge said and strut away contentedly.

"She never gives up, does she?" he said and charged after her as she quickened her pace. "Oh no, you don't! Wait!"
'How did Sonic and Sonia deal with this with Manic?!' he thought.

"Guess that's it for this case." Vector said.
"Guess so." Espio said.
"But what about our money?" Charmy asked.
"Man, I almost forgot!" Vector said and Eggman was surreptitiously sneaking away, but the Chaotix saw him and gave chase. "That SLIME BALL!"

Omega was holding Metal Sonic in his arms. Shadow and Omega looked at each other in confusion.

Later Team Sonic was running through Seaside Hill.
"Alright! Our next adventure awaits us, so there's no time to waste! Yeah! We're SONIC HEROES!" Sonic said and her pals jumped and struck an ending pose.
