Valerie's Excitement
At the Brown residence that afternoon, Valerie came through the front door and started to unpack her backpack.
Doctor Steven and Doctor Gail Brown met their daughter in the kitchen.
"Val, it's time to do your homework." Steven said.
"Yes, Dad." Valerie said.
Valerie sat down at the kitchen table and began to do her homework.
While she did her homework, Valerie decided to munch on a banana.
Gail decided to fix dinner while William helped Valerie with her homework.
At dinner that night, Valerie's mom and dad looked over at her.
"Why are you so excited?" Gail asked Valerie.
"I'm playing Snow White in our school's production of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs!" Valerie exclaimed.
Steven and Gail looked at each other.
"What wonderful news!" Steven exclaimed.
"You will be a star someday!" Gail agreed.
"Do you want to know who's playing the prince?" Valerie asked her mother and father.
"Who?" Steven and Gail asked Valarie.
"Alexander Cabot." Valerie answered her parents.
"Alexander Cabot? Oh yes! The star gymnast in your school! I remember him now!" Steven exclaimed.
"That's right, Dad," Valerie answered. "remember, it was you who removed Alexander's tonsils and adenoids last year."
"That's right," Steven said. "I had completely forgotten about that!"
"And, Mom," Valerie reminded. "the Cabot family trusts only you with Alexandra and Alexander's dental work."
"You're right!" Gail said to Valerie.
That evening when she went to bed, Valerie was unable to fall asleep, she wasn not tired at all.
