Felix finds his Family
warning for baby demise at the hands of vampires.
oooooooooooooooooooo
Felix met the woman when she bumped into him, literally, in the town square where the castle entrance was located. She had been carrying two bags of groceries, which were now all over the street. He was instantly transfixed by her golden hair and olive green eyes, even if she looked a little annoyed. Perhaps that was part of her attraction too.
"I'm sorry." he said. "Let me help you." He heard her sigh and decided he wasn't making a good impression. "My name is Felix." He chased down her food and put the items back into her mesh tote bags.
When everything had been retrieved, she held out her hands to take the bags from him.
"Let me help you home," Felix offered.
"Thank you, Felix. I'm Sara..." she started to say, but when she looked up at the man, she was in awe. He was as tall as a tree, his eyes a deep brown. She felt like he was strong enough to carry not only her groceries, but her along with them.
She walked ahead of him until they reached the door to her small apartment, where she unlocked the door and stepped aside to let Felix in. "I don't usually let strange men walk me home, but for some reason, you seemed trustworthy." She flashed him a smile that lit his insides.
Entranced with the woman, Felix asked her if she'd like to join him in the village that evening. The guard had nothing to do as far as receiving orders from the masters, so he was free for the night. Sara blushed and said yes, making Felix smile.
Later, when he picked her up at her apartment, they walked up the road and into the village just as music began to play. Sara held out her hand to Felix. He took it, marveling at how small it was compared to his own. His little human, he called her. She laughed and called him her titan, after he told her how strong he was. They danced together into the morning hours, after which Felix took her home, kissing her on her doorstep.
They dated over the next three months, the bond between them instant. Felix kept his relationship with the human a secret from the Volturi, all except his best friend Demetri. If there was anyone most trusted by the tall vampire, it was Demetri.
"Felix, if the masters find out you're seeing a human and without permission, I would be afraid for Sara. They might require her to be changed. You haven't even told her what you are yet."
"I know. We're fortunate we've lasted three months without discovery."
"Do you love her, my friend?" Demetri asked, curious since he'd never seen his his fellow guard in love.
"I do, Demetri. Being with her has reminded me about kindness and compassion, things I have long forgotten."
"Then stay with her, never let Master Aro read you, and I'll do what I can to help." Demetri patted Felix's back and sped back to the castle.
That night, Felix slipped his arms around Sarah while she brushed her hair. He nuzzled the back of her neck, eager to excite her. He had to go on a mission tomorrow, and he hated telling her whenever he had to go away. He could never be completely honest with Sara, but he needed to feel her, to remember her scent and the touch of her hands on him before he left for any mission.
"Mmmm...that feels good, sweetheart." She put down the hairbrush and turned in his arms. "You're going away," she stated, knowing his actions. He always got clingy when he was about to go away.
"Yes, love, and I am sorry. My...boss has an assignment for me." Felix's hands moved to her butt while he kissed her. Her sighs in his ear moved him to lift her in his arms and carry her to the bed. He lay her on it, kneeling next to her, removing his shirt.
Felix slid the straps of her nightgown over her shoulders before he buried his face in her neck, inhaling her scent. He lowered his face to her breasts, taking one into his mouth, his tongue stimulating her nipple into a hard peak.
Sara's fingers insinuated themselves in his hair, while her breath came in soft sighs. "Please, my love. Don't make me wait. I need you."
Felix stood and removed his slacks, then fell into Sara's arms. They rolled together on the bed, laughing low with one another until Felix moved his hand to her already damp womanhood. His fingers slid inside her, readying her for him. He was as hard as she was wet. He moved inside her and waited for her to adjust to his size, then thrust slowly and deeply.
Sara moaned in need, her arms tightly around him. She kissed him and nuzzled his cheek, her hips meeting his with his every thrust. Vampire and human came together, pushing each to the peak of pleasure before Felix growled into Sara's neck. She cried out his name when he spilled his seed inside her.
Later, Sara snuggled against Felix, already missing him. How long would he be gone this time, she wondered.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
"Felix, I'm late." She looked up at him, waiting for his response.
"Late for what, my love?" he asks absentmindedly.
"Late. My period is late," she replied.
He gazed at her until the words sank in. She was late? He hadn't even paid attention to the calendar. He placed his hands on her shoulders. "Are you...are you going to have a baby?" It had been so long since he had dealt with such human concerns.
"I would need a pregnancy test to be sure, but I may be, yes." She looked up at him, hoping he was pleased by the news.
A smile broke his somber expression. He picked Sara up in his arms and spun her around. "We're going to have a baby." He put her down and cupping her chin, Felix kissed her deeply. He never had children when he was mortal, as far as he knew.. And once he'd become a vampire, he never thought of being with a human for anything other than feeding off them. As a Volturi guard, he was required to control humans, not build relationships with them. Until Aro had met Carlisle in America, none of the Volturi knew it was even possible for a male vampire to impregnate a human female.
The pregnancy test proved to be positive, and the pair celebrated their impending child. Demetri was shocked when Felix gave him the news. But he smiled when he was asked to be the baby's godfather, as was tradition, according to Sara.
As a necessary surprise, Demetri tracked down the Cullens, and asked Carlisle to call Felix after telling him why he was asking for his help. Once the good doctor did as he was asked, Demetri thanked him and flew home, figuratively and literally.
Felix spoke with Carlisle, telling him about Sara and her pregnancy. Aro had mentioned once, after the confrontation with the Cullens and their witnesses, everything that had happened with Renesmee's birth. Bella had almost died. Felix did not want that to happen to Sara.
Felix first had to admit to Sara the truth about his existence. She listened raptly until the word "vampire" came into the conversation. She gaped at him in disbelief. But as he explained the coldness of his body, his lack of interest in food and liquids, and his frequent trips away, she listened more closely. He finally removed the brown contacts and she saw his crimson eyes.
"It's true then." She embraced him, but began to worry. "What of our baby, Felix? Will it be human or vampire?" He replied by telling her all he knew from Carlisle and his experience with his granddaughter's arrival.
"There is a danger to you, my love. But together, and with Demetri's help, we'll make it. It may mean you becoming like us. In fact, Carlisle suggested you begin drinking human blood before the birth. We can get that for you." If you don't want our help, tell me. It might mean your death, and that I cannot bear to see happen."
Felix convinced Sara to follow his instructions. Her life would change, but she would have her husband and her child. They would be a family.
After a month or so, Sara began to experience labor pains. Felix called Demetri who flew to their side to offer his assistance. Sara began pushing, but nothing was happening. Recalling Carlisle's instructions, Felix cut into Sara, with Demetri at his side with a towel. Sara had been given a pain killer, and with Felix doing the work quickly, she felt little, but she was not doing well. Felix grinned from ear to ear when he saw his daughter in his arms, but quickly handed her over to Demetri. He leaned over Sara, whispering, "I love you." He then quickly bit her neck and arms. His venom began to flow through her. In the mean time, Demetri cleaned the baby up, and wrapped her in a clean towel. He knew Felix and Sara had been buying clothing but he didn't know where it all was.
Once Felix had made Sara comfortable for her transformation, he went to care for his daughter.
"You're a natural, Uncle Demetri," he said smiling at his friend. `
Felix held the baby in his arms, the infant dwarfed in size by her father. He was very careful so as not to crush anything.
Felix leaned in and inhaled the distinctive scent of his child, a smell he would never forget. He leaned over her and kissed her pink cheek. "Your mother's mother was called Emma. I hope she likes the idea. We'll ask her when she wakens, now won't we," he cooed.
Demetri took charge of Emma when Sara woke three days later. Felix helped his mate to feed for the first time, before introducing her to their daughter. Sara liked the name Emma, and so it was decided.
Looking at his mate, Felix smiled. "She is beautiful, like her mother." Handing his daughter to Sara, he watched while she placed a bottle of formula to her little pink mouth. Little Emma suckled loudly, and Felix laughed at how hungry she was.
The little family enjoyed a wonderful existence, until one day, Demetri teased Felix about diaper changing. Aro had overheard the guards talking, and he called Demetri over, silently holding out his hand. Having no choice, Demetri placed his hand in Aro's. The Volturi master's eyes widened as the memories filled his mind. He sorted through them, then asked for Felix's hand. Rather than endure the examination, he confessed everything. Aro sent Santiago and Afton to bring back the woman and the baby.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO
Aro spoke, "You had a child without our express permission, Felix. We cannot have our guards arbitrarily impregnating human females. The baby must be destroyed."
Sara held Emma close to her chest and sped to the double doors, but Santiago and Afton got there first. She turned to Aro, her eyes flashing, "You will not take our daughter." She looked to Felix who flew to her side.
When he spoke, his voice nearly trembled. "Master Aro, this child, our child, is a hybrid. Surely you can spare us mercy, and in exchange, we can watch her as she grows, much like the Cullens did with their hybrid.
Aro slowly took the three steps down to the main floor. He stood before Felix and his mate, a deceptively sympathetic smile appearing on his face. He held out his hands, waiting for Sarah to hand him Emma. He took the female baby from her, noticing she looked older than her few weeks. Holding the child in his arms, Aro looked down at her face. Her olive green eyes concentrated on his face, then she smiled and reached up to play with Aro's long hair. When light flashed on metal, she saw the Volturi pendant and clutched it in her two hands. Aro was tempted to let the child live, but she had no discernible gift, and he had to make an example of her disposition to all his guards.
He knew neither Felix nor Demetri would obey his order. His forefinger twitched, and Santiago stepped forward, taking the child from Aro's arms.
Felix attempted to stop him, but Aro called softly to Alec, who stepped toward Felix and Sara. Charcoal-coloured smoke left his hands and floated toward both vampires, the tendrils wrapping around them. Their senses now blocked, they were deaf and blind, a blessing that neither could see Emma, or hear her cries silenced. Santiago had taken her out into the corridor and smothered her with his hand. In less than two minutes, he had brought her back to the throne room to show Aro the task had been completed.
Alec released Felix and Sara. Felix took his baby and cradled her gently. He remembered the first time he had carried her in his arms. She was so alive and happy. Now she was quiet, the sleep of death upon her.
Sara ran at Aro, her hands held out like claws. His eyes widened, but two guards ran forward and grabbed the grieving newborn, restraining her from attacking the Volturi master.
Aro raised his brows and nodded. The two guards, seeing the silent signal, decapitated the woman, then burned her body and head with a torch taken from the wall.
Felix let out a growl of anger and grief, his mate and child now both destroyed. Aro needed Felix so had him restrained and removed to a cell, until he accepted his fate and his place with the Volturi.
