[Well, it wasn't simple, but I figured that even if the armor is reinforced on the outside shell of the robot, the eye is the most vulnerable, having its parts weaker for the laser to fire through. So all I did was aim for the eye to make an opening and then threw a bomb in there, its that easy, which is surprising knowing Eggman and what he does]

Lost and Found
Seventy-four hours after Sonic's Death, Twelve hours after the formation of Resistance and radio transmission.
Angel Island
It was a peaceful afternoon on Angel Island…is what could be said if not for one thing.
Population
It has been roughly 14 hours after everyone from San Franobia was evacuated to Angel and about 12 Hours after the Resistance was formed along with the radio transmission. Ever since that happened, the Chaotics have been getting calls from many zones and cities requesting to be evacuated to a safer place or Angel Island. Knuckles was reluctant at first, he was okay with people from one city now more people are coming but he can't blame them, though he can blame one baldy Mcnosehair, so he allowed people from other areas to be transported to the island as well, though he did realize one major problem to his plan of refuging people of multiple cities…
Space.
Guess he needs to make more room. Luckily many refugees are construction workers so he managed to get help. With this many workers, they could practically make a big base for a force that defies imperialism…

Vector got a plan.
2 Hours Later
Amy yawned, she has just finished helping refugees with accommodation and by how tired she was…it might've been a lot. "Man, that was tiring! Hopefully, Knuckles and Vector have finished building rooms for the refugees~" She stopped what she was doing when she came across two big metal doors.

"Where did these doors come from?"
Inside, construction workers were placing bricks, hammering nails into walls, and drilling in bolts for a lot of fancy tech. Amy entered the room and was flabbergasted at it all, since when did a space for refugees need a very expensive-looking computer?
"Hey, Amy!" The hedgehog sees the Chaotic detective approach her.
"Vector! Glad you're here, can you explain to me why the refugees will need this computer?" She asked.
"Oh, that's not for the refugees." Vector clarified before placing his free hand on Amy and his other hand gesturing to the room. "This Amy will be the HQ for…THE RESISTANCE!"

"Vector…" The next thing the crocodile knew he was grabbed by the collar and was met with a pair of angry green eyes. "WHY ON MOBIUS DO WE NEED AN HQ!?"
"D-D-D-Doesn't all groups that fight for the greater good have an HQ?" Vector asked while sweating bullets. "B-B-B-Besides! There's still a room under construction for the refugees down the hall! We just need this room to help us with planning! Do you really want to plan everything outside if there's bad weather?" He continued to look into those angry eyes for a good few seconds until…
They softened. "Fair point." She lets him go before walking away. "I'm going to check the refugee's room. Let me know when you pinpoint the radio transmission!"
"Y-Y-Y-Yes ma'am!" Vector answered before sighing in relief.
"Mr. Vector?" One of the workers called.
"Yeah?"
"Is this computer supposed to beep a lot?"
"Normally when it has pinpointed the origin of transmission of radio signals. Yeah." He answered. He really knew his stuff when it comes to investigating. He has mastered it all. Tracking trails, tracing points of origins, figuring out how long a clue has been dropped for and many many- Wait a second. Beeping?
Realization has struck the croc.
Deeper into the base, Amy found herself in a…VERY big room and across it was the one responsible for digging. "HEY! KNUCKLES!"
The echidna shoveling with his shovel claws stops what he was doing and spots the girl. "Oh, hey Amy!" He flies over to her. "What do you think? Is it big enough?"
"Big enough? More like humongous! How did you do this in just a few hours!?" She asked in amazement.
"Amy, I literally had to dig around a beach, hours at a time, to find ONE master emerald shard, this? This literally just the equivalent of me during the halfway mark." Knuckles explained.
"Wow, you're very committed."
"I know."
"GUYS!" The two jumped in surprise as the crocodile ran in. "BIG NEWS! BIG NEWS!"
"What is it, Vector?" Amy asked.
The detective smiled. "I'VE PINPOINTED THE LOCATION!"
"Really!? Where is it then?"
"Emerald Hill."
30 Minutes Later
Knuckles stood before The Master Emerald waiting for the call.
Meanwhile…
"Okay, everyone. Let's go through the plans one more time." Amy said as she along with Silver and the Chaotix stood in the Resistance HQ. "As we know currently, the signal that Vector has traced leads to Emerald Hill. We can also speculate that Eggman may have also tracked down the signal so when we arrived we may encounter two things, we may be greeted with just peaceful land or a chaotic battlefield, now here is how we stay hidden as much as possible." Vector pulls out a map and lays it out on the table "The layout of this land is basically like Green Hill but less hilly, use that knowledge to hide. My suggestion? Use the hidden tunnels within some of the hills. This mission will have 3 teams. Knuckles and Vector will be defending the island, Espio, Mighty, and Charmy will be on the lookout, and me and Silver will be scouting out the target. Remember the main goal is NOT to fight Eggman's army, we're still too underpowered to do so. Our main objective is to recruit the one who has managed to take down the death egg robot. In case you engage with Eggman's forces, slow them down and run away. Got it?"
"YES MA'AM!" They answered.
"Good then." She presses her communicator. "Knuckles…"
[We're all set. Fire it up.] She says through the echidna's communicator.
Knuckles took a deep breath, closed his eyes, then spoke. "Master Emerald, controller of chaos, heed my call, let me use your great power to warp between the laws of our world, and I promise that I won't use this power in vain but all for the sake of protecting the world we call home."
It was silent

Then the emerald glowed to life. Letting out harmonious sounds as it did.
The echidna listened to the sounds and then smirked. "Thank you." He opened his eyes. "Let's do this!"
Suddenly, the island began to shake. Everyone feeling the tremors.
"EARTHQUAKE!" Vector yelled inside the base.
"BUT WE'RE IN THE AIR!" Charmy commented/
"It's Knuckles! He's about to teleport the island! HOLD ON!" Amy shouted.
"Next up EMERALD HILL!" Knuckles yelled.
The clouds turned dark before spiraling around the island consuming it whole, a light erupted within the clouds then after a moment it dissipated
The island was no longer there.
Emerald Hill Zone, Sky
The skies of the zone were clear as usual until dark clouds formed before spiraling into a sphere and then dissipating soon after. Revealing Angel Island.
In the Resistance HQ…everything was a mess.
"Ahhhh…well that was…an experience," Vector said, holding his head, getting back up to his feet.
Amy also got back up before calling Knuckles. "Knuckles, did it work?"
[Yep!]
"We're here." Knuckles said looking at a landscape that was similar to Greenhill Zone but with different wall patterns. "Emerald Hill Zone."
30 Minutes Later
Mighty looked over the edge of Angel Island and can safely say…it's a very very VERY long drop. "Oooooohhhh boy. That's a long drop." He looks at the others with a nervous smile. "Are we really gonna jump off the island to get to the ground?"
"Yes. Don't worry though, Silver can help us down with his psychokinesis but it will take quite a little bit for us to land down because…" Amy explained then Silver joined in.
"When I try to speed up my power it normally ends up getting launched and crashing to the ground or walls." He finished.
Mighty sweated bullets at this point. "O-Oh. That's…lovely."
5 Minutes Later
Amy and Mighty's teams began to descend from the island using the hedgehog's psychokinesis. Knuckles and Vector wave them for good luck.
As the teams descended, Mighty was really disliking their method of getting down to the ground but had to admit the plan was working well, they were already halfway to the ground but…
"Ah…Ah…AH…ACHOO!" Silver sneezes.
Canceling the effects.

"Oops."
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Amy, Espio, and Mighty screamed, descending to the ground at alarming speeds.
"DON'T WORRY GUYS! I'M COMING!" Silver flew after them, Charmy following suit.
As the group fell, Charmy manages to grab Espio and Mighty on time, stopping their descent, what a strong bee.
But Amy wasn't lucky. Silver tries to get to her on time but the crash was imminent, thinking quickly Amy pulls out her hammer and…

Slams the ground before contact letting the sudden launch her a little before she sticks the landing.
Silver was another story
CRASH
He crashed on his face
"Ow~"
"Oof." The pink hedgehog winced at the sight. "Maybe we next time we get parachutes." She soon helps the future hedgehog back up. After a while the three Chaotix landed safely on the ground, Charmy now sitting on Mighty's head for the time being. "Okay, all of us are accounted for, remember the plan you guys, you guys are on the lookout while me and Silver go scout out our target, don't forget to also utilize all the hidden passages to hide from any badniks. We'll meet back here in two hours if we aren't here before then use your portable extreme gear to get back on the island. Understood?" They nodded. "Good. Well guys, see you in a while." After that, the two hedgehogs ran off beginning the mission.
In the beginning, nothing much happened, they spotted the remnants of badniks but nothing that could lead them to their target, they then thought of checking out the hidden passages to see if there were signs of anyone there but there was nothing. Seeing how much land they haven't covered at this point Amy and Silver decided to split up to cover more ground and speed up the search but still no luck though something did catch the former's interest.
As Amy searched around the zone, she came across a trail of remnants belonging to badniks however these were all covered in moss meaning they were here longer than others in the area. Curious about it, Amy decided to follow the trail to see if it led somewhere but to her dismay, it was nothing…or was it. As she was about to take her leave, her eyes caught something from below, a beach but there were…tracks, very old tracks. She came down to the beach to inspect what it was, she did take note of how the tracks didn't get covered up like before since apparently, the water couldn't reach it, however, she couldn't get this feeling that she has been here before until she noticed something in the sand, Picking it up she sees the something was a piece of conductive rubber, something meant for planes…planes…biplanes…Tornado.
Her eyes widened realizing what this place was but before she can confirm it she looked around to see if her speculation was true and just as she suspected she spotted a cave. Seeing it gave the hedgehog what this place was. She smiled. "Never thought I'll see this again." She approaches the cave while thinking back.
"HOLD ON AMY! THIS IS GONNA BE ROUGH!"
Landing wheels came out from the bottom as a biplane descended upon Emerald Hill's beachside before reaching a screeching halt after the wheels went into contact with the sand with bits of the wheel breaking off and going into the sand as a result.
"Phew. That was close." Said the young Sonic before looking at the other young hedgehog who was shaking along with having her eyes closed. "Amy, you can open your eyes now, we're on solid land." He said but got no response. He sighed. "Well, I'll be going then, bye!" He jumps off the plane and runs off-
"SONIC!"
"AH!"
Thump
Amy tackles Sonic, sending both hedgehogs to the ground. "Don't think dropping me off from Little Planet is enough to get rid of me, my love!"
"Amy get off!" The blue hedgehog shouted while trying to free himself from his self-proclaimed girlfriend.
BOOM
Then it rained….hard
"Aw man! This weather just won't do." Thanks to the water, Sonic managed to slip out of Amy's grasp. "Better take shelter. For a while." He then spotted a cave close by. "That'll do."
"SONIC!"
"AMY NOT AGAIN!" He shouted before running off into the cave.
The images of her young self and Sonic ran past her and into the cave. Once Amy entered the cave, she couldn't help but smile. Inside there were two logs, a campfire, a bunch of boxes at the back, and a pile of palm leaves. As she wandered through the miniature home she thinks back on how all of these came to be. When they first arrived boxes were already there from a past group, she recalled that the rain back then lasted to the next day so the two were stuck with each other for a night. Although most of the moments there were her trying to make Sonic love her she recalled some moments when she DIDN'T do such stuff. Like her starting up a fire to keep them warm for the night, her pilling up a bunch of leaves together to form a makeshift bed, her finding cooking equipment inside one of the boxes in which she did all the cooking, Sonic complimenting her cooking, and them sleeping together though the latter were the most memorable of them all.
"So we got peppers, onions, mushrooms, sauces that I have no experience with, and a few cans." Sonic listed what the duo have for the night before looking at Amy. "I have no idea how we can survive the night with this stuff." He chuckled nervously, however…
The female hedgehog just laughed it off. "I think we can make do with this, lucky for us the stuff in these cans hasn't expired yet so this won't be hard at all."
"You know how to cook?" The blue hedgehog asked as he sees the girl setting up a pot over the fire.
"Yep! Now sit down while I cook us dinner!" She said while pulling out a wooden spoon.
After a while, Amy finished cooking up dinner, and Sonic…gobbled all of his serving up like nothing.
"WOW! That taste good!" Sonic said
Amy responded with a chuckle. "Thanks, I actually thought up the recipe after I learned the basics of making it. I actually had a name for this but…"
"What is it called?"
"It was…Chili Dog A La Sonic." She covered her flustered face right after saying that.
"Chili Dogs? This is meant for Chili Dogs!?" Sonic asked the flustered Amy nodding. "I would love to have that if that's the case."
Amy looked at him in shock. "R-Really?"
"Yes! In fact, these chili dogs would be great to sell actually! You could practically make a fortune out of these!"
"As…As in opening a restaurant?" She gets a nod for confirmation. She smiled. "Thanks for the comment. Actually, that is one of the dreams I aim to achieve."
"A dream that doesn't involve me? Wow, I never thought you would have that." Sonic said with a smug.
"Hey! You marrying me isn't my only dream okay!?"
"Okay! Okay! Sorry." He waved to her.
She sighed. "Still though, thanks."
"Anytime."
Later that night Sonic and Amy slept on the makeshift bed together, and the latter started to hug him as they slept but to her shock, the hedgehog…didn't resist it. She smiled at this before going to sleep herself.
As the images of the young hedgehogs faded away, Amy smiled. That was one of the few times when Sonic didn't resist anything when she gave him her affection, all those little moments really help her continue her mission to try to get the hedgehog to date her along with her goal to open a restaurant.
However, she frowned as she returned from her dreamed fantasy and back into harsh reality. She can't do either of those goals now. Eggman destroyed her along with everyone's futures of opening their dream business and not only that…Sonic's gone. Remembering that fact really hurt the girl as the hedgehog began to tear up wanting to let out all of her sadness out.
But she couldn't, not yet.
There was still a chance to make things right and if her journeys with Sonic taught her anything, it is not to give up. Whenever she was with Sonic, she always saw this hedgehog never giving up the battle till the bitter end and no matter the challenge he will always triumph, if he can do that so can she. Plus she literally founded the Resistance and made a matra stating how they NEVER quit, along with promising Sonic to avenge him. And so with the motivation from her memories, she got back and wiped her tears away. "Thank you Sonic, for giving me the drive to continue onwards, I won't let you down." She leaves the ca-
Thump
She turns back to see one of the boxes has collapsed and reveals something…that caught the girl's interest. Getting a closer look at the item she soon realized what it was, smirked, and had one thing in mind.

Emerald Hill Zone, South Area
At the southern area of the zone, the Chaotix were on the lookout, well most of them. Mighty looked around the zone with a telescope before entering a hidden room with Charmy resting still.
"How's the view?" Charmy asked.
"Very nice and very peaceful. How's the wing?"
"Still sore from all the weight it had to carry."
"Shame. We could really use you about now." Mighty said as Espio uncamouflaged while entering the room. "Hey Espio, spotted anything?"
"I spotted none and sensed none, so right now, it seems safe."
"Good to know." Mighty sighed before leaning on the wall. "All of the things we see in this zone are really making me think the was never a war, to begin with, man times have changed."
"Yeah, tell me about it," Charmy said back. "Before any of this happened, the peacefulness in the world really bored the detective's agency a lot and then when we heard screaming we thought it was a case that just popped up for us to solve and earn a little cash. Man how we took that for granted." He said with a frown.
"And to think it hasn't been that long since all of that happened." Espio added.
50 Hours Earlier
Green Hill Village
As the mobians ran around screaming in fear, three detectives busted out of their agency to see what was causing all the ruckus.
Vector shouted "Okay! What seems to be the problem every-" Before stopping when he saw hundreds of badniks descending from Eggman's ships. "WHAT THE HECK!?"
Espio threw his kunai at some of the bots to stop them in their descent which work but the rest were on a direct course to attack the tri-
WHAM
Vector fired Espio who was spin dashing at the bots destroying them. Espio landed back with the group. "Eggman never tries a full-on assault before, something must have happened."
"Hey lady!" Charmy shouted at one of the people. "What's going on!?"
"W-What do you mean "What's going on"!? DR. ROBOTNIK IS GOING TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!"
"But won't Sonic stop him, he always stops that egghead in what he's scheming," Charmy asked casually.
"WHY ARE YOU ASKING SO CASUALLY ABOUT THAT!? ROBOTNIK LITERALLY KILLED HIM!"
Those words shocked the three. "Wh-Wh-What do you mean he's dead? That's impossible!" Vector said.
"V-Vector." Espio said in a shocked tone.
"Yeah Esp?"
"Look up." He pointed with a shaking arm to the ship. Vector looked up and to his shock and horror, he watches the replayed recording of Sonic's beatdown that ended with his demise. All his optimism left him the moment the video ended.
"Y-You must be kidding right? That's got to be faked! Sonic could get killed so easily!" Charmy tries to lighten the situation.
"Charmy…"
"After all, he always managed to win, this must be stagged, we could probably find who faked this video and give him a god beating!"
"Charmy…"
"There's no way, absolutely no way Sonic was kill-"
"CHARMY!" Vector grabbed the bee with both hands and glared at him, the bee seeing his tearing eyes. "STOP DENYING THE TRUTH! SONIC! IS! DEAD!"
Hearing those words loud from his boss, Charmy soon teared up. "N-No…he couldn't…he…" He was soon brought into a hug by the crocodile. "After the many adventures we followed him…why…WHY NOW!?" the bee soon let his tears out while Vector comforted him.
Espio looked at the bee with pity, he was one of many kids who looked up to Sonic, and seeing his reaction to the death made the chameleon frown but not only because of that, he had massive respect for the hedgehog as well after all of their interactions together. The ninja looked down in sorrow.
The world has lost a good man.

Emerald Hill Zone, South Area
Espio frowned after recalling the events back then before remembering something. "And if I recall, we came across you by accident."
"Yeah. you're right." Mighty confirmed before thinking back to that day also
50 Hours Earlier
Green Hill Zone
BOOM BOOM BOOM
Many of the flying E-Series soared through the skies, raining down hellfire on the people trying to escape the zone. One of the blasts exploded chunks of rock as they fell upon them. One of the rocks was about to hit a mobian when-
ZOOM
CRASH
Someone spin dashed at the rock destroying it, the person was non-other than Mighty. He looks at the man. "Don't worry sir, I got this!" The man ran off as soon as he heard that. The armadillo looks back at the bots soaring in the sky but then saw them attack someone. Someone that he knew
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!". Screamed the yellow flying squirrel as he dodge the many bullets trying to hit him. "PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!"
"RAY!" He shouted out before he got into a spin dash position and then launched himself at the flying bots, he crashed through one before jumping to another and breaking its eyes to send it out of control, ultimately crashing into the other badniks behind. Mighty manages to jump off on time before running to his friend who just landed. "Ray! Are you okay?"
"Y-Yeah, I am…" The squirrel answered still shaken at what just happened.
"What happened?"
"I was checking back to see if there were other people but what I saw were those badniks!"
"Don't worry bud, it's okay." The armadillo comforted him. "I don't know what that egghead is planning, but we'll stop him."
"O-Okay-"
BOOM
"AH!" The two yelped as the ground in front of them exploded. They both look through the flame and saw…an army of metallic beings approaching them.
"Oh…my…god," Mighty said as the badniks approached them. He gritted his teeth, they were outnumbered, they needed to get away but they may catch, they need to be distracted. "Ray, we're gonna split up okay, if we don't meet back soon meet up with the civilians, got it?"
"Why though?" Ray asked.
"Because-"
BANG BANG BANG
"LOOK OUT!" Mighty pushes Ray away as the energy bullets came, exploding around the two, causing rocks to fall down and splitting them up, Mighty being with the bots.
"Mighty!" Ray yelled in worry.
"Ray! Run! GO!" Mighty shouted at him, his final shout making the squirrel finally follow the command as he runs off. The armadillo sighs in relief before looking at the badniks. They fired at him but he dodges them before running off, them soon coming after him.
Present
Emerald Hill Zone, South Area
"And after that, I made my way to the village and we all know what happened next." Mighty finished the story.
"Yeah, you helped you out, we told you what happened with…Sonic…we met up with Amy, and soon after we planned to ask Knuckles for help." Charmy summarized the events.
Mighty sighs. "I hope Ray's okay."
"Guys…" Espio called from outside.
"Yeah, Esp?" Mighty asked.
The chameleon who was shocked didn't look at them but what was far ahead. "You may wanna see this."
The two Chaotix members came out and looked and just like Espio, they were in horrific shock. Why?
An army of metal beings approached the zone but not just any metal beings.

Emerald Hill Zone, East Area
Silver continued scouting the place as planned, he checked his timer and saw he was already at the halfway point of the time period Amy has given them, so he picked up the pace, looking at more of the hidden areas of the zone and many more, but he had no luck, there was no sign, scent, or even sounds of anyone there!
Snap
Except for the twig snap that caught the hedgehog's attention. He looked back to see a suspicious bush standing there. Thinking if something were to happen if he was still in the bush's line of view, Silver floated over the bush and listened in.
"Is the coast clear?"
"Maybe, that weird guy is gone so I think it's safe."
"Think? We need to make sure everything we do is a full confirmation, not a guess!"
"But wasn't he mobian? He could be one of us?"
"But what if he's on that doctor's side? We can't jeopardize Resistance Radio by just guessing that guy's on the evil side!"
"I knew it!"
"AH!"
Silver went through the bush, finding himself in a cave full of mobians. "You guys are the Resistance Radio!" He then saw them pull out some HIGHLY advanced weaponry. "Woah woah woah woah woah! Hold down those guys geez! I'm on your side okay!? We're just looking for the one who took down that Death Egg bot! Promise!"
"You're looking for me?" His eyes widened as looked at where the voice came from. What he saw was a female, however, most of her appearance was obscured by darkness but judging by her silhouette, she was a cat. "Why do you need my help? Can't you just fight them with your power?"
Silver approached the figure. "I could but that alone won't cut it, Eggman has many allies on his side along with an army of badniks. I won't be able to hold up my own if they were together OR separate. From what we heard from you, it sounds like you're a tactician, someone who can help us turn the tides of this battle."
…
"Sorry sir, I won't."
She shocked the hedgehog. "What? Why?"
She answers back "I may have sounded like a tactician but in truth, I ain't one. What I did was just me winging it against the badnik with no plan at all. Sorry, but I ain't joining."
Those words caused Silver's heart to sink.
All this searching for someone who sounded like a great warrior…was for nothing. It was all a lie.
[SILVER! AMY! ANYONE!] Charmy shouted through the comms,
"Charmy!?" Silver answered back. "What's going on?"
[WE GOT BAD NEWS! BADNIKS ARE APPROACHING THE ZONE!]
"WHAT!?" The mobians in the cave shouted in shock
"Okay! That settles it! We're leaving RIGHT NOW!"
"Are you crazy!? We're gonna get killed the moment we step outside!"
"And we'll still die even if we're in the cave!"
"Then how are we gonna get out!?"
"With me." Silver approached them, serious. "I will get their attention while you all get to safety."
Everyone looked at him in shock.
"B-But won't you die?"
The hedgehog of the future places his hand on his chest. "The day I die is the day those I care for die. One part of myself is already dead with one of them gone, I won't let the rest of myself die, meaning. I won't let anyone- no THIS WORLD I care for die." Everyone just looked at him in surprise but also…amazement before agreeing with loud cheers.
The girl in the shadows however just walks off.
"Okay guys," Silver glows.
"Let's get you to safety!"
Emerald Hill Zone, Angel Island
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM
At Angel, explosions we heard distanced away. Knuckles and Vector rushed to check and to see the zone now riddled with explosions bullets and much more and the two what that meant.
Eggman.
"Amy, Silver, Espio, Charmy Mighty. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON DOWN THERE!?" The crocodile asked.
Emerald Hill Zone, South Area
Espio, Charmy, and Mighty ran as fast as they can from the badniks.
"We're being pursued by Eggman's badniks!" Espio said in a calm yet serious matter before throwing kunai at the bots to slow them down. He continues to run. "Badniks came in a few minutes ago! It seems that Eggman has also traced the location and has sent a large army for what I am suspecting…a demolition of the place!"
"SILVER! AMY! HAVE YOU FOUND OUR TARGET!? I WANNA GO BACK!" Charmy shouted
[I found her but we may have an issue.] Silver said.
"What's that?" Mighty asked as he sees a missile coming so he kicks it back at them exploding them.
[The girl didn't strategize, she was just winging it nothing more. We came all this way for nothing.]
[Damn it! Seems we have no choice. Everyone! Get back to Angel Island now! We're leaving!] Knuckles announced.
[Sorry Knuckles, but I have to refuse.]
"WHAT!? WHY!? THERE'S NOTHING LEFT FOR US HERE! LET'S JUST PACK IT UP AND LEAVE THIS ZONE BEFORE IT TURNS TO RUBBLE!" Charmy shouted.
[There are still people here! We need to get them out of here as soon as possible!]
[Wait people?] Vector asked
[Resistance Radio, they're still here. We have to make sure they get out safely! Any idea?]
More Badniks came but both the chameleon and armadillo homing strike them.
[I know! Since the badniks are coming in from the south, take the people to the north, If I remember correctly there should be enough hidden passages for them to go through, heck there are some underground! Try using them.] Knuckles suggested.
[Brilliant Knuckles! How did you even know that?] The hedgehog asked
[Let's just say I got my fair share of runs going through this zone back in the day.]
[Then it's settled, Chaotix you lure those bots away from us as best as you can while I take the people to safety.]
"Got it, Silver!" Espio answered before leaving the call. "Okay men! You know the plan! Get these badniks far away from the people as possible!"
"Right!" Mighty said while Charmy grumbled. "Charmy?"
"Fine! Right!" Charmy said. 'Why bother saving them! They're just going to slow us down from saving the world or worse GET US KILLED! Fine, if they want them lured away they will be lured away.'
As Mighty and Espio turned east to lure them away Charmy…kept heading north and the two noticed.
They went to a halt before looking back. "Charmy, what are you doing!?" Mighty asked shocked.
"LURING THEM AWAY AS YOU SAID! I CAN HANDLE THIS!"
"Charmy! You're not luring away! You're luring them TOWARDS them-" The bee can no longer hear them. Espio facepalmed with a growl. "He's at it again
"Again? What do you mean again!?" Mighty asked, concerned.
"The kid thinks what he is doing is right and jumps at it without giving any second thought. We have to stop him before he gets close to the people!" Espio and Mighty went after them.
Emerald Hill Zone, North Area
In the northern area of the zone, people from Resistance Radio ran, using the hidden passages they could find to make their way out of the zone while Silver kept watching.
Silver looked around the perimeter and saw everything was clear so far which was good. But even so, the number of people in the cave wasn't that much so, meaning even if badniks came his stalling will give the group enough time to escape. He thought about this all until he noticed something from a distance. He looked through his binoculars and saw…
CHARMY LURING ALL THE BADNIKS TO THEM!
"WHAT THE!?" He activates his communicator. "CHARMY WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!?"
[I'm luring them away! What does it look like!?]
"CHARMY! You aren't luring them away from us! YOU'RE LURING THEM TOWARDS US!"
[SAY WHAT!?] Vector shouted, overhearing everything that was said. [CHARMY! GET THOSE BOTS AWAY FROM THEM!]
[ON IT!]
Charmy made a sharp turn to the west to make the bots turn as well, however…the badniks stopped and scanned the area.
{Area Scanning complete. Detecting signs of extra lives. Assessment: It's the Resistance Radio! COMMENCING CAPTURE!} The bots began running in the people's direction
"OH NO!" Silver looked at the people. "EVERYONE GET OUT OF THE ZONE! THEY'RE COMING!"
Just saying get out was already enough as the workers began running into the hidden passages of the zone. Seeing how many people are left, Silver looks back at the advancing army and begins to fight back.
The hedgehog used his powers to lift multiple boulders before throwing them on the advancing army. Many boulders crushed the egg gunners that charged in but most survived, especially the egg launchers who started firing missiles at the hedgehog. Silver dodged some before psychokinetic powers to redirect them back at the bots that exploded after impact but more kept on coming. Along with that Silver was growing exhausted. 'Crap. If this keeps up they'll get to the workers. I can't let that happen! I WON'T GIVE UP!' He continued throwing boulders at them.
As the gunners advance

An arrow bolt dug into one of the badniks' heads making it fall.
Stab Stab Stab
Then more came, impaling more bots in an instant.
Silver's eyes widened in surprise. Who was shooting those bolts?
"Don't worry Silver! Your backup has arrived!" A familiar voice called.
"That voice! That's…" He looked in the direction of the voice to see a pink hedgehog approaching the army. "Amy!"
As Amy approached the army of gunners she wielded two weapons with both hands, her right: the hammer, and her left…
A crossbow.
"Let's level the playing field." Her eyes turn from green to bright pink before sprinting for the bots.
As they fire at her, she blocks the attack or knocks them back at them with her hammer. She then began smashing bots one by one, using the crossbow to hit one aiming at her while she smashed them down. She then launched herself into the air with the hammer before raining down arrow bolts all over the field which impaled multiple sets of bots at a time sending them down in an instant.
While the waves didn't stop, Amy also didn't stop and shut down each one of those bots instantly with her weapons.
Silver looked in shock and awe. Never during the time he has known this girl did he know that Amy knew let alone archery BUT DUAL WIELDING!? That's insane! "SILVER!? NEED A LITTLE HAND!" He shook his head after snapping out of shock before jumping into the battlefield himself.
As Amy fired her crossbow, she fails to notice the bot behind her ready to swing her down only to get lifted and launched at the others by Silver's psychokinesis as he arrives at the hedgehog's aid. The two began tag teaming the badniks, having each other's back when one bot gets close and switching sides when necessary. Silver floated gracefully while Amy moved swiftly. They crushed them, launched them, and brought them close for point-blank hits for the pink hedgehog's crossbow.
However, their coordination wasn't enough as the wave of Egg Gunners continued on.
"They just keep coming!" Silver said as he threw more bots at each other.
"Don't stop Silver!" Amy told him as she fired her crossbow at the eyes, before pushing back one of the Egg Busters. "If we don't they'll take the workers!" Her hammer charges up with pink energy as Amy disappeared in a blur before appearing behind the badnik and slamming its head with her charged hammer. She then fired charged crossbow bolts at the rest making them explode. "I am not letting any more people get taken away!" Her quills charge up with energy. "We are the resistance!" She sends the energy into the hammer before standing her ground. "And."
"WE."
"NEVER."
"QUIT!"
PIKOBOOM
A shockwave was released after the hedgehog slammed her hammer down, breaking all of the Egg gunners in the process.
Silver looked in shock and amazement at the tremendous power the girl had, tremendous in fact that her powers seem to be an equivalent of…Sonic. Amy panted in exhaustion, before collapsing. "Amy!" The future hedgehog said before running to his friend who only had her hammer to support her. "What happened?"
"I-I think…I went…overboard…at that one…nearly used up that energy has saved up for a while." The girl chuckled weakly.
"Wow, I never thought you had that amount of strength, why didn't you-"
"GUYS!" The duo turned back to see Espio and Mighty running up to them. "Where's Charmy?"
"We don't know." Silver answered back before explaining while helping Amy up. "After Charmy accidentally led the badniks here he tried to lure them away but that failed, what's worse is that he may be still flying around thinking they're still behind him."
"Oh, dear." Espio facepalms. "Here's try to act all heroic again."
"Again?" The group asked.
"Long story. But not time now." The chameleon looks at Silver. "Check if all the workers left." He got a nod back from him before flying off. "Okay then, by observation we seem to have beaten all of the badniks." He activates his communicator. "Vector, Knuckles. Espio here, Amy and Silver took down the army with ease, Charmy hasn't been accounted for so we'll start searching for him right away-"
BOOM
"AH!" The three were sent flying to the ground after a sudden explosion erupted. As they got up with a groan, they spotted the culprit, the big culprit.
A Death Egg Bot towered over them as it begins to scan its surrounding before readying its eye. Espio quickly spots it. "MOVE!" With a smoke bomb to the ground, the group disappeared from the scenes as the giant badnik fired its beam to where they stood before sending it across the land bringing it all to a blaze.
As the group reappeared on one of the loopty loops, Amy looked at everything in horror, the luscious green land, and probably her and Sonic's old hideout were now gone, just like that.
"My god, it just destroyed everything in an instant…" Silver said, horrified at how the doctor has managed to create a machine more deadly than the ones in the past.;
"And I don't think that's all…LOOK!" Mighty pointed at the sky and what everyone saw were dragoons…Egg dragoons.
Just like the Death Egg Bots, these Egg dragoons looked to be mass-produced versions of the original one Eggman used long ago bearing the same grey color as the aforementioned badnik. As they soared through the skies they began firing their drills, leveling down the elevated lands of the emerald hill zone, while scorching down any remaining grass in sight.
With quick analysis, Espio realized the egg dragoons must've been sent to tear down the last of the scorched land to force out The Resistance Radio, luckily they left by but knowing Charmy was still there, worried him. "Charmy! Are you there?"
[Yeah Espio! What's going on!? Everything's burning!]
Espio sighed in relief. "Charmy, listen, Eggman has sent the big badniks to destroy what is left of the zone! You have to fly back to Angel Island right this instant!"
[What!? No! We can't! We need to save it!]
"Charmy it's too late!"
[But-]
"You went against orders once. Don't do it twice. Get. Back. Now!" After saying the last part more seriously, silence came, then an answer.
[Fine!]
Espio uses his mini telescope to see if he can spot the bee within the ruined zone and to his relief he saw him ascending from the other side to land, with direct course for the island. Lucky no Egg dragoons seem to be near Charmy or the Island but he didn't want to take any chances on the latter getting spotted. "Vector, Knuckles. Charmy is on a direct course for the island, make sure he arrives safely, after that, cloak the island, we don't want to risk those giant flying badniks spotting the island also."
[We were thinking the same thing, Esp. See you back here.] Vector answered back before hanging up.
Espio sighed before looking back at the group. "Is everyone ready?"
Silver and Mighty answered with a nod, but Amy didn't say anything. All she did was watch, watch the zone that harbored memories of good times burn, with no way to stop it whatsoever. She held back the urge to cry, she broke down moments again. She can't let everything she just developed go to waste. With that, she sighed before looking at the zone with sad eyes. "I'm sorry Emerald Hill, I'm sorry we couldn't save you." With that, she turned around but not noticing something. Why was the Death Egg bot's glowing red eye…looking at them!? "LOOK OUT!"
ZOOM
BOOM
Amy brought everyone down in a blur before the beam shot the loopy loop down, she then stared at the bot that has once again, spotted them. "RUN!"
The four began to run away from the giant bot as it began to chase after them, while it chased them down, it let out a mechanical noise that got a response.
KRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAA
The group looks back and saw a flock group of Egg dragoons DESCENDING UPON THEM!
"Silver! Boulder them!" Amy ordered and Silver followed as he levitates a couple of boulders and threw them at them, the one in front took it down with its drill but mistakenly made the debris hit the ones behind sending them crashing to the ground. It then fired its gatling gun at them. "EVASIVE MANEUVERS!" The group began dodging the incoming bullets coming at them.
While Espio dodged it swiftly he caught sight of how deadly the bullets were for when he moved by one of the bullets, it shattered one of his kunai, his STEEL kunai.
Silver maneuvered through the bullets while flying and redirected a few bullets back at the dragoon, however, it seems the shot had no effect! Seems Eggman has learned to self proof the robot against its own weapons.
Mighty also outran the bullet however he wasn't enough.
STAB
"GAH!" A bullet penetrated his shell making him hit the ground injured.
"Mighty!" His friend shouted as they ran to him, the dragoons kept firing at them but Silver blocked their attack with a boulder.
"You okay Mighty?" Amy check on the armadillo and saw dripping from his back.
"Geh…I-I'm fine…It didn't hit anything important." He said as he tried to get back up but pain shot him forcing him to collapse his friends caught him on time.
Espio looks around to see if he can get his friends out of this situation but with a zone now turned to rumble there was no way in sight. "We're trapped."
"Damn it!" Mighty slammed his fist. "We literally just started the Resistance and THIS is how we start off." Amy comforted him staring at him with determination.
"Don't worry, we'll get out of this. Remember. The Resistance NEVER quits." She assured him, which earns her a nod from him.
"Um, GUYS! The boulder's breaking!" Silver shouted and he was right, the boulder began to crack and if nothing happens soon those four would soon be covered in bullet holes.
What's worse, unbeknownst to them, The Death Egg Bot IS GETTING READY TO FIRE ITS DEADLY BEAM AT THEM! Is there anyone out there that can stop this!?

An orange projectile hits the bot making it lose balance as it fired its beam, THAT MISSES THE GROUP!
"Huh?" The group notices the beam and sees the Death Egg bot damaged, who intervened?
"Hey!" A familiar female voice shouted, Silver recognized it.
"No way." He turns to the source and spotted the same silhouette he saw back in the cave but this time, the light revealed her to be a cyan cat with a black tight suit with pads for her elbows and knees, purple shoes, and a face mask. "It's you! But why are you helping us?"
chuckled. "Your little speech, about making sure no one dies, really stuck to me. In fact, it reminded me of why I did this," Flames covered the streets, bodies, and blood showered the lands, red eyes stared back with great fury, she glared back. "So as a token of my appreciation." She pulls out a strange umbrella-like device and pointed it at the Death Egg bot. "I'll take that bot down."
Silver was surprised by this girl's change of heart, but smiled nonetheless. "Go for it, miss!"
"Thanks, sir. And by the way." An orange light enters her umbrella device while she smirked. "The name's Kiba."
[BURST!] Kiba launches herself high into the air with every fiery shot she threw before getting high enough for her to skydive for the death egg bot, the robot spots her and throws a punch at her. Still, she dodges it with her weapon and launches her up again as she lands on the bots surface, she then made a run for the eye, as she ran to it badniks appeared, Eggman must've installed this after her last stunt but that didn't stop her as her umbrella's orange light was switched out with a blue one. [CUBE!] Her umbrella turns into a hammer as she began sending all the badniks flying with a swing from it, talk about power! Though the death egg spotted her once again and this time multiple guns came out and fired at her. [HOVER!] Her umbrella turned into a green holographic umbrella which lifted her off the ground as bullets try to hit her. Once high enough the hologram faded and it turned pink. [SPIKE!] She aimed for the Death Egg's eye and fired a pink buzzsaw at it, the buzzsaw lands and BREAKS through the glass exposing the laser cannon within. Kiba smirked as she threw cyan crystals around while her weapon turned the same color. [LASER!] She then aimed for the crystal and fired. A cyan beam was shot out and began bouncing off different crystals before the final one bounced it into the eye and saw the Death Egg Robot begin to spark and fidget like crazy. With it, all down the cat used the hover mode again and flew back down as the giant badnik went.
KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Amy looked in amazement as the giant fell, but then returned to her current situation of Egg Dragoons still firing at them. Recalling what she stated a while ago she decided to end it there now. "Espio," Amy called as the chameleon went to her. "Keep an eye on Mighty." She got up and looked at the dragoons firing at them. "I'll take care of them." The group looked in shock
"Are you sure Amy? You might fall off from one of them!" Silver asked.
"Silver, I literally took down more badniks than you a while ago, don't worry besides I won't fall to them." She puts her crossbow away and pulled out a silver bracelet from her quills and attached it to her wrist her eyes igniting pink again. "As an old friend will say, I never fear the fall."
ZOOM
Amy dashed for the Dragoons, their attention was now drawn to her as they began firing rounds at her though she dodged by them with ease, seeing what the girl was planning to do the dragoons flew up more so she won't try any homing strikes but that failed.
PIKO
Amy launches herself with a good slam to the ground sending her directly at them, the bots flew back more so she won't reach but then her bracelet before she threw…AN ENERGY WHIP at them, the whip wrapped around one of the dragoons' legs allowing her to reel herself to it before SLAMMING the bot with her hammer making it fall to the ground destroying it. The momentum from the attack launched the hedgehog to the second dragoon, it sensed her on it which made it try to hit her with its weapons which fails miserably as the drill missed her and dug into the head destroying itself in the process. Amy launches herself to the next bot and sees how many are remaining she decided to finish things off as they all fired at her, she dodged their attacks and landed on her third bot but this time she grabbed the still firing gatling gun with her whip and made it fire at the rest which all hit directly destroying them all! She then ended it by slamming the last dragoon, aka the one she was one in the head making it lose control and head for the ground. Before it crashed though she jumped off from it. After that

As Amy fell, her exhaustion took the better of her as she stumbled the landing making her body hit the ground. As she groaned she looked back and saw what was once Emerald Hill Zone now a land of flames. She frowned, a home to great memories she has made has now been demolished, the chance to be brought back not likely. However, even if it's gone, she feels relief. Why? Her team's mission was accomplished. Even though Kiba didn't say it straight to their face yet, she felt they'll get an answer soon enough. She turned her back against the grass allowing her to see the sky…a dark smokey sky, voided of the natural one. She has now noticed how long it's been since she last saw the sky but now with this battle, how long will she see it again? The blue beautiful sky.
Blue…
"Amy!" She sees Silver and the others approaching her, Mighty being helped by Espio. Silver approached her. "Are you okay? Did they injure you?" he asked
She shook her head. "No scratch sir," She got back up with the help of her hammer. "I told you I never fear the fall."
"And you did just that." Said Kiba as she approached the group with her strange umbrella. "I gotta say, those were some sick tricks, girl, where did you learn those moves?"
Amy chuckled while rubbing her nose. "Let's just say a piece of my past aided me through this fight." She answer, and took notice of the cat's amazement with what was told. "But apart from that, you taking down that Death Egg Bot with your weapon was awesome as well! Where did you get it and also why did it say those specific names? It sounded so familiar."
"Oh, you mean my wispon?"
"Yes!" Amy answered but then took notice of the name. "Wait. Wispon? As in…a weapon powered by-"
"Wisps? Yep!" From out of Kiba's suit came the lights that entered and exited the wispon, they were small ghost like creatures with differentiating colors and themes. The wisps cheered as they flew to Amy and spun around her. "And judging both yours and their reaction, I guess you have a history with them." She gets a nod back before sighing, leaning her wispon on her shoulder. "Well, I guess that this battle's another one for the history books. When do we leave?"
Everyone except Amy looked in confusion before realizing the implication of her question.
Silver asked. "Wait…you don't mean-"
"I'm joining the resistance? Your damn right I'm joining!" She pulls out a locket and looks at it. "You did remind me the reason for being in battle, and if this means I can protect more, I'll accept the challenge." She smirked at them.
The group cheered with Amy chuckling, just as she thought. "Well then, I guess it's time we head back."
[AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!] Charmy screamed to the communicator surprising the group. [VECTOR! STOP PULLING MY ANTENNA!]
[Don't think we forgot about your little stunt mister!"] Vector said.
[BUT I WAS TRYING TO HELP-] The Chameleon turns off the communicator, no annoying bees for now
There was an awkward silence before Silver answered Kiba's earlier question. "We'll leave in a moment, Kiba, but first let's check on the Resistance Radio, I think it's best if they stick with us also."
Kiba nodded in agreement, "I suppose you're right."
"Great! Then let's get going!" Silver answered before the group began to walk away from the zone.
As they walked Amy couldn't help but just think about what just happened, seeing Espio get mad at Charmy, Kiba joining the team with Resistance Radio probably being their next group of civilians they will transport to Angel Island and her reactions and responses to the other were beginning to mirror Sonics…
She smiled at her new development. Not only has she got back a piece of valuable history in the form of the crossbow she has taken down multiple dragoons at once, more than Sonic has taken down in stories he has told her. In a way, she has managed to reach a certain level that mimics the one the blue blur has gone. She doesn't know if it will surpass his feats but she is proud of it and hopes he is also proud of her. 'Sonic…I may not be you, but I'll do all it takes to be the hedgehog the resistance needs. After all…they still need the fastest thing alive…and I'll do just that."
"Become the fastest thing…'

'Alive.'
A pair of emerald eyes opened wide before the owner jolted out of the hard surface they laid on. The owner breathed heavily before holding their head.
"Wh-What happened?" He then looks around. "Where am I?" As they get back up, they notice their feet feeling so heavy…it was never this heavy before. They look down and saw both their feet…covered in metal and tech. As they walked, the heaviness of the shoes slowed him tremendously but they managed to make it to the end of the room…riddled with metal bars.
Is this…a prison?
It then all comes back to them…no…he
FLASH
Bright lights ignited, flashing before his eyes, forcing him to cover them. The light revealed the man to be a familiar figure then a laugh came.
"HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!" Descending from above came the one and only…Dr. Eggman Robotnik.
"Good morning my arch nemesis! Welcome to the start of your miserable life. Enjoy while it lasts, for it WILL be your last…"
"Sonic."

FINALLY! After weeks of procrastinating! WE ARE DONE WITH CHAPTER 3! Yeah, it took quite a while, am I right? Hehehe. Anyways, hoped you enjoyed our story which shows the POVs of what happened on the day Sonic "died", the debut of the mass-produced Egg Dragoons and the return of the Egg Gunners (From 06), the destruction of a well-beloved zone, the backstory of Amy and Sonic between Sonic CD and 2, the surprising debuts of two certain items that Amy now wield, the debut of the wispons and most importantly, THE DEBUT OF OUR VERY FIRST OC, KIBA!
