Eric Carter begins questioning Jamal.

.

Eric: I assume you know about the bombing in Virginia.

Jamal: Yeah, and I had nothing to do with that. I made some mistakes in my youth, I didn't see much of a future for myself back then.

Eric: Yeah, your gang leader, he owned a video arcade and paid off his dealers with free pizza and game tokens. So for the most part you were just giving your salary right back to him.

Jamal: I'd seen the effects of mass incarceration in mu neighborhood, figured no matter what I did that would be my fate. I was also an athiest back then, no hope of punishment or fear of reward, so I figured that free pizza and game tokens were as good as it would ever get for me.

Eric: What changed?

Jamal: I found Allah, and I have a kid now. I'm hoping for her sake that I was wrong. That's why I helped organize these games between jewish and muslim children, building bridges. It might not be much but it's something.

Eric: For someone who's turned their life around, you have some interesting friends.

Jamal: They made mistakes, same as me.

Eric: Have you ever heard of the Revolutionary Communist Party?

Jamal: Yeah, a radical marxist group. My cellmate was into that, and yes I have read the Revolutionary Worker. For a while it made sense, but I was never a member.

Eric: But you're still on their mailing list.

Jamal: I tried ending my subscription, they don't care.

Eric: Still, it occurs to me that you were at the game, maybe you stole your father in laws keys and gave them to a like minded individual.

Jamal: I didn't.

At the White House president Allen and vice-president Keaton are discussing the bombing.

.

Allen: Do you think the Taliban was involved in this?

Keaton: It might have been a rogue group. I have no particular love for Hekmetyar, but he wouldn't jeopardize the withdrawel, not when he's on the verge of victory.

Allen: And if it is a rogue faction, can we really trust Hekmetyar to discipline them?

Keaton: At best our relationship with Hekmetyar is more about "Trust but verify." When push comes to shove I am not certain he will stand up to his own right flank. If he doesn't, we might have to return to Afghanistan.

Allen: There's always the hope that our soldiers can find the parties responsible before the withdrawel is complete, but time is running short.

Keaton: Indeed. There's something else, my old friend David Hoffman, his sentance begins next week and I'm worried about him. I'd like to go see him today.

Allen: Okay, but try to be back here soon.

Keaton: I will madam president.

Rick and Kyle received leave from colonel Mcnamara to try and find Illiyeen and her son before the withdrawel was complete. Rick was a lousy father, but he couldn't leave his son to suffer under Taliban rule.

At CTU George Mason receives a call, from Jack Bauer.

.

Mason: Jack, we've been looking for you.

Jack: I don't understand.

Mason: The person who "stole" your car used it in the bombing in Virginia.

Jack: That doesn't make sense, why would Alqueda use a stolen car for a bombing?

Mason: That's what we've been trying to figure out. We have Audrey, Kim, and the others from your barbeque, hoping they might have an answer. Where are you and Tony?

Jack: We're with Melanie Daniels, wife of Aslan.

Mason: Yeah, I know who he is. Does she know anything?

Jack: No, but we might be able to use her as bait to lure him out in the open. He's obsessed with killing her for dishonoring him.

Mason: Okay, we might be able to help with that.
