President Allen is in the Oval Office, anxiously awaiting news from Kabul. Vice president Keaton is also with her. Garnder arrives with news.
.
Gardner: Our intelligence picked up a recent conversation between Hekmetyar and Razi. If this conversation is accurate Hekmetyar didn't know about Razi's plans and tried unsuccessfully to order him against attacking our embassy.
Allen: "If?"
Gardner: He has always acted, assuming that his enemies are monitoring him, it's one reason he's survived into old age.
Allen: Is there any way to persuade Razi against this attack?
Keaton: That seems unlikely madam president. If he's really rogue, a big victory now is the only way he can convince people to follow him. Most likely he's also trying to obtain the list of Afghan's who cooperated with us for retaliation later. Such a list would be good for a power play against Hekmetyar.
Gardner: You think Hekmetyar can be trusted?
Keaton: I could be wrong, but yes. Once we leave he'll declare victory, hold on to power as long as he can, then retire in comfort. I can't say for certain what the situation will be in five years, but we can hope that Hekmetyar's successors will realize that allying with Alqueda is more trouble than it's worth. But as for today, by now Razi likely knows we about his upcoming attack. He has no choice but to act more quickly, even knowing his side will suffer more casualties as a result.

Rudy is on the phone with his neo-nazi buddies, trying to plan Bianca's murder. Mike and Heather are playing the nazi shoot em up game, pretending to shoot at minority children at an elementary school. Heather brags about how she has gotten a lot better at this game, but Rudy can still beat her every time. Rudy ends his call and gives Mike an update.
.
Rudy: My friends want you to do it yourself.
Mike: I'm not an expert on this stuff.
Rudy: You just need to deliver a bomb, it's not difficult. Bianca even bragged about going to the movies tonight, a 7:30 showing of the latest Disney film. Just sit behind her, and go to the bathroom at the right time.
Mike: Okay, where's the bomb?
Rudy: We're going to get it now. My friend wants to talk to you, make sure you have what it takes to be part of the white revolution.

At CTU Jack Bauer has received medical attention and intends to leave with his family and friends. George Mason talks to him first.
.
Mason: The attack at the embassy is likely to happen within the next 30 minutes.
Jack: Hopefully we were able to give them enough advance warning to prepare.
Mason: God willing. Maybe you and Tony could help with that.
Jack: I didn't think you wanted us around, afraid we'd do something that you could get in trouble for.
Mason: We might not like each other Jack, but I might need you before all this is over. And if you don't think it's your patriotic duty, what about the next attack? For all we know their next target could be an elementary school, could be Teri's school for all I know.
Jack: Kim's keeping Teri home tomorrow. I'm sorry to be selfish George, but right now I just want to go home.
