Jack Bauer drives towards CTU. He knows that, given his past sins, George Mason wouldn't be asking for his help if he weren't very desperate. All Jack wanted was to retire for good and enjoy whatever time he had left with his friends and family, but he feared there would always be some crisis that brought him back into service.

The local police are bringing Mike to CTU for questioning. Mike's father, mr Steele, comes in to see George Mason.

Steele: Is it true, that my son was involved in the bombing of the movie theatre?
Mason: It seems so mr Steele.
Steele: It's those idiot friends of his. I made a fiar amount of mistakes when I was his age, but I never thought the nazies were cool.
Mason: If these "friends" are neo-nazies, we probably have files on them. Would you be able to identify them for us?
Steele: Probably. What's going to happen to Mike?
Mason: Noone was killed in the bombing, thank God. But, if some senior citizen has a heart attack in the next few days, that's felony murder. I know a few proscutors who would like to make their bones by seeking the death penalty. And even if, God willing, noone dies, they could still push for treason. Since your son is 18, he is eligible for capitol punishment, or life with no chance of parole. His only chance of ever being a free man again is if he identifies his co-conspirators. Maybe you can get through to him.
Steele: Clearly I don;t know my son as well as I thought I did.
Mason: I called an old friend, he's coming to interrogate your son. If you can't get through to him, my friend won't have kid gloves.

Heather and Rudy are moving towards their safe house. Mike's capture put a monkey wrench in their plans, but they can still move forward.

Heather: Maybe we should just do it now, make certain they don't take us alive.
Rudy: Not yet. I want maximum casualties when we die. But if we can't, then yeah we make sure that the zionist occupied government doesn't get nothing from us.

5:05 am Kabul

At the embassy Kyle Singer is helping get refugees into the helicopters. He already made certain to get Illiyeen and her baby to safety. It was the least he could do for his fallen friend. But the fatigue, Rick's death are starting to affect him. Major Barnes tries to help him.

Barnes: You okay Singer?
Kyle: Yeah, it's just fatigue sir. Also Rick, he was my friend.
Barnes: I understand, we all lost friends today, myself included. But we owe it to them to keep going, it's only another 19 hours. Then we can all go home and collapse in our own beds.
Kyle: Sounds good.
Barnes: Until then we just need to keep going.
Kyle: Yes sir, I will keep going, and get back to work.
Barnes: Thank you son.

Mike is brought to the interrogation room where his father is waiting for him. Mike is suddenly ashamed of himself, and afraid of the consequences of his actions.

Steele: Is it true, you tried to murder Bianca, your own child, any innocent people who were unlucky enough to be in the theatre?
Mike: I'm not saying anything without a lawyer.
Steele: You want a lawyer, because those nazies you hang out with, they're not big on civil liberties.
Mike: I'm sorry okay.
Steele: They say they're going to seek the death penalty against you.
Mike: They're going to kill me?
Steele: For treason and terrorism, absolutely. You need to tell them everything you know, right now. Who else was involved?
Mike: Rudy introduced me to mr Jones.
Steele: Who is Jones?
Mike: I don't know. I met him a couple of hours ago, he gave me the bomb and told me how to detonate it with the cellphone. Heather too, she knew what we were planning. They told me not to go to school tomorrow, said I should say I just got lucky.

Jamey Farrell looks up this mr Jones. She finds a number of known names and aliases amongst known neo-nazies. But mr Steele has already identified Rudy and Heather as his son's friends, both have files as suspected neo-nazies. Jamey looks up known neo-nazies, and known associates of neo-nazies who might fit Mike's description. Hopefully he can identify Jones from these photos.
