Jean smiled gratefully, "Thanks...At least if people see my powers, they will probably assume that it's magic instead of myself being a mutant...That would give less burdens on Professor Xavier...".

"Wait, hold on, fire is red, and red is scarlet, and magic is used by sorcerers, wizards, and witches...I think I got it...Scarlet Witch! What do you think?", Gwen thought out loud for a few moments before asking with a small smile.

"Hmm... maybe... the name Phoenix was also coming across in my head too.", Jean said as Gwen looked at her for a moment.

"Perhaps... of course, it's a bit more fitting if you're rising from ashes or something.", Gwen pointed out as Jean smiled.

"Rising from the ashes of bigotry if the truth ever came out?", Jean raised an eyebrow as Gwen nodded, "Ah, that's a pretty good one.".

Jean hummed lightly, "Still, Scarlet Witch is a cool name, but it would fit somebody better than me, I think...Perhaps if we're going with S in starting our alter egos; Spiderman, Supergirl/Superwoman, and so, for me, how about Solaris? It's technically a famous name for a phoenix.".

"Ooo, I really like that one!", Gwen's eyes lit up as Jean chuckled. "Guess we may have found a winner then at least with the name... costume on the other hand...", Jean shook her head and smiled.

"Let's not worry about that right now; after all, we came up with Pete's name before his costume.", Gwen replied with a chuckle and a grin.

Jean smiled, "Fair enough...", looking at Gwen with love in her eyes, "I love you, Gwen.", and Gwen smiled, "I love you too, Jean.", before they kissed deeply and tenderly, holding each other closer in their arms, and fell asleep.

Hours later, as morning approached, Gwen woke up to the sunlight beaming through the blinds, and glanced at the clock, seeing that it's past 7, and she listened around, hearing that Jean's folks are still asleep.

She looked at Jean, smiling softly as she listened to her breathing and heartbeat for a few minutes, just simply watching her, happy to have this incredible woman as her beloved lover and more, and she then smirked softly as she decided to wake her up the most perfect way possible for sweet love.

Gwen leaned in, kissing Jean's lips deeply, and she slowly heard Jean's breathing change, and yet Jean kept quiet, staying asleep, though she's in the place between waking and sleeping, and Gwen smiled before kissing Jean's nose, cheeks, and then under her ear, finding one of her sensitive spots, and finally, Jean moaned in pleasure, waking up.

Jean woke up to see Gwen's bright blue eyes looking at her with adoration and love and mischievousness, "Good morning, my sexy redhead...", and Jean smiled wryly, "Good morning, my bright star...What a way to wake up...".

Gwen chuckled, "Well, with your parents in the vicinity, don't wanna wake them the wrong way if I went bolder, you know?", and Jean nodded, "Fair...Are they still asleep?".

"Yep...Wanna snog really good, Jean?", Gwen purred, and Jean smiled brightly, "Well, since you woke me up, you can start off, starting with a well-deserved French kiss.".

"With pleasure.", Gwen smiled as she leaned in to start really start making out with her wonderful girlfriend, the two of them wrapped around each other and running their hands on each other's bodies as they kissed. For the two of them, this moment was pretty much heaven, and all was fairly right with the world.

After a few minutes of snogging intensely, the two girls were beyond distracted to recognize that Jean's parents were waking up, and with a smile on their faces as they greeted each other good morning and a tender kiss, Jean's mother, Ellen went to use the master bathroom while her husband, Phillip went to head to the kitchen to make coffee, still a tad sleepy himself to notice noises coming from Jean's bedroom.

As Jean's father went by, Jean's mother finished up before heading out and starting to notice some unfamiliar noises. She froze for a moment before she went over to check on Gwen's room first... opening the door slightly to find that the young girl wasn't there.

The bed was definitely unmade, but looks like Gwen wasn't there long, and Jean's mother, Ellen, began to be a bit concerned, keeping her cool, thinking that Gwen decided to chat with Jean or something last night, and was too tired to return back to her original bed, probably using some of Jean's pillows and blankets as a manmade sleeping bag on the floor.

She then headed to her daughter's bedroom, recognizing that the unfamiliar noises were coming from inside, and figured that the computer is on, showing a movie via DVD player, and the girls is watching the movie, but she still needs to check to make sure that everything is okay.

Ellen slowly cracks the door open, trying to make sure not to give even a sound, before her eyes widened as she was looking directly at the girls... not watching a movie, but rather being the ones making the noise by making out with each other.

Ellen was in surprise and shock to see her daughter and Gwen, wearing pajamas naturally, but they are deeply exploring each other's bodies in Jean's bed, kissing and moaning and sighing in pleasure.

Ellen can see the love in their body language, and she pulled back, slowly closing the door, blinking in awe as she kept hearing the noises, and she took a deep breath, deciding since her daughter seemed to be very happy and not forced by Gwen, Ellen will keep this quiet for now.

As she walked to the kitchen lost in thought, she was a bit hurt that Jean didn't tell her about being involved romantically with Gwen, but she began to realize that Jean may have been afraid of her and Phillip's reactions as she never came out to them.

She knew there was probably reasons, and that she would surely come out to them when she was ready. Ellen thought had to be sure to try to keep her mind fairly clear off of that. Jean rarely read her parents' minds out of respect and love for them, but even Ellen knew that the girl was, on occasion, tempted to do it every once in a while.

She isn't upset that Jean loves Gwen, and grateful that Gwen has been known to be a smart, bubbly, and mischievous girl, and Ellen, along with Phillip, is glad to have Gwen being friends with Jean as Ellen could tell that Jean hated the attention by most of the school, seeing her as an object or something which she couldn't blame Jean for...After all, she must have gotten her looks from her biological mother or something, and she herself must have been a beauty to have married a respectable man, and have a healthy, beautiful girl.

All the same, if Jean is going to stick together with Gwen for a long time after school and all, there might be a wedding in tow...She's a bit sad that she couldn't have grandchildren biologically in a technical term as she presumes that like her and Phillip, Jean would want to adopt children in following their footsteps.

Of course, there are other ways, but she doesn't know what the future holds, and for now, she will have to settle for holding the secret of Jean's relationship for now, but she will not wait too long as she will need to talk with her daughter, and of course, Phillip will need to know as well.

Both girls broke apart from the making out when Gwen was hearing the coffee machine finally dripping which caused her to pause. "Guess your folks are up.", Gwen chuckled as she kissed Jean one more time on the lips.

Jean smiled lightly, "Well, looks like we ain't going to sleep in after this...", kissing her deeply on the lips, and Gwen chuckled, "Especially after we had an intense snog...Shall we go have breakfast with your folks, figure out today? I think Peter deserves some time with Jasmine, spoil her with attention at least as much as she's a cat.".

Jean nodded, "Sounds good to me.", before purring lightly, "One thing for sure, with my car, and your powers, we can hide somewhere nice...Call it a girls' day of shopping, eating lunch, and all.".

Gwen grinned, "Another date, eh, my sexy redhead? You're spoiling me...", and Jean chuckled, "That's the idea.". And indeed, Peter spent time with Jasmine as much as he could over the weekends and afternoons in her cat form, spoiling her, changing her bandages, taking her in for checkups, for the next few weeks, while with the girls sneaking in and out of Peter's bedroom at times, Jasmine was ravished by Peter, and vice versa, and Jean was glad to see that the walls of her curse is slowly wrecked into pieces, but still stuck like strong glue.

And of course, Peter spent the night patrolling many times as much as he could, for the most part, and the people of the city is starting to spread the news about the Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman, the web-crawler, the night crimefighter, and before the quartet knew it, it was finally Peter's birthday, and Jasmine's cast was finally going to be off, with her shoulder and muscles healed, along with Gwen going to give Peter his daytime patrol suit.

On the day before Peter's birthday, Jean and Gwen told Jasmine of their idea, and Jasmine was glad to let them for she deeply cares for them, and she knew with experience by ravishing Jasmine, Peter is beyond a wonderful natural in lovemaking, so he will have quite the birthday night in the dreamworld.

"I hate how chilly it gets so fast in this city...", Jean complained as the two of them were heading over to Peter's; the cold December air nipping at their skin despite how bundled up they were. "Wouldn't be as bad if I could be able to fly us over...", Gwen pointed out as Jean shook her head.

"Not the greatest idea right now... be even colder with how high you'd have to go to keep us from being noticed.", Jean pointed out as Gwen shrugged. "Besides, it's not that huge of a distance.".

"Yeah... that's tru-", Gwen almost came to a screeching halt as the two girls passed a newsstand. Even with the advent of the internet and such that really was cutting into print, it wasn't truly dead. What caught Gwen's eye was one of the front pages of one of the local publications, The Daily Bugle...

In practically big letters: 'Friendly Neighborhood Spidermenace?'

Gwen narrowed her eyes, "What the heck?! He ain't a menace!", and Jean nodded, "That Jameson guy is always looking for an excuse...".

Gwen walked up as she just had to see this; if this was a way of getting her to read the article or whatever was in the tabloid, mission accomplished. "Look, Gwen, take it easy, it's just the tabloids. The Bugle's always been quick to throw together some story to plaster on the front page with something shocking or infuriating.".

"That's not the point, Jean!", Gwen closed her eyes as she quickly tried to calm herself. "This is...", she leaned over to Jean's ear, "Peter... I can't help but feel upset for him especially with how he's being slagged by the tabloids here.".

Jean replied, "I know, Gwen, I feel the same way, but you have to see the facts here. It's the people who matter, not the tabloids. They're practically gossip slanders nowadays, and you know how gossip is like in high school. Same thing here.".

Gwen sighed deeply, "You're right...People like Jameson always want their tabloids to be popular, not the people who are in the tabloids themselves...", and Jean smiled, "Exactly. Come on, we can't be late for congratulating the birthday boy...Good thing we got normal gifts in case for Ben and May if they ask, and our secret gifts are in my room.".

"Yep, I can't wait to see Pete's face. You reckon that he's going out all day for all of Winter Break?", Gwen asked as Peter's birthday today is on a Wednesday, and that Thursday is the last full day of school of this year, with Friday being a half day, and then thus, Winter Break begins, and the new school year term begins in January.

"Knowing him after what he's been doing for a while? Probably.", Jean chuckled as the two of them continued on their way. It took a bit of time, but they soon arrived at the Parker residence before Peter opened the door.

"Hi, girls.", Peter smiled. "My folks are out right now so it's just the four of us for the moment.", he explained.

Gwen smiled, "Awesome. What are they doing out? It's your birthday, after all!", and Peter smiled, "Just picking up my cake, along with my presents, I assume, deep in the city. Probably an hour with traffic and all.".

Jean nodded, "Good. Where's Jasmine?", and Peter chuckled, "She's using the cat wall to practice jumping again and all since she was over the moon from finally getting the cast off earlier at the vet with Uncle Ben while we were in school.", closing the door behind them.

"That's good... really is good that she's pretty much fully recovered. I hear those vets are still flabbergasted.", Gwen chuckled.

"Yeah... just glad she has more than one life... still hate that she had to use one there.", Peter said as the others stopped for a moment. "Sorry, what's done is done and she's still here with us.".

Jean caressed his shoulder, "Everything is all fine, Peter. Now, come on, let's go sit on the couch. We got normal gifts for you, and Jasmine is surely eager to be out in her spirit form for a while.", and Peter smiled, nodding, and they went into the living room, seeing Jasmine using the cat boards on the wall, jumping and doing pawstands.

As Jasmine landed gracefully on another board, Gwen called out, "Hey, Jazz, come down and join us!", and Jasmine nodded, flicking her tail happily, and jumped board by board, landing down on the top cushion of the couch, and walked, jumped down to the armrest cushion, and laid down, curling up with her tail around her, and mewed.

Jean nodded, "You got it.", narrowing her eyes slightly before Jasmine's spirit form came out of her cat body, solidifying up as she smiled brightly, "Hey, girls! What do you get there for our Peter?", as she sat on the ottoman-cushion.

"Well, certainly some normal gifts for when Ben and May come around and don't think of anything out of the ordinary... but... we've got something very special for you, Peter.", Gwen smiled as Peter grinned.

"Uh, just a moment, I wanted to ask you girls something beforehand.", Peter walked away from the chairs for a moment before coming back with two things in his hand. "So... anyone seen the Daily Bugle?" Peter asked as the girls' eyes widened.

Gwen nodded, "Yes, we both have, thought I doubt Jasmine saw it.", and Jasmine replied, "No, but you wouldn't believe the news channel when they talked about Spiderman's takedowns on bad guys when I watched some TV before Peter came home.".

"Any slander there?", Jean winced, knowing that Jasmine can get angry if Peter gets insulted, like that time with Flash and his car. Jasmine sighed, "No, but there were theories and questions about Spiderman.".

Peter blinked, "Huh, that's at least better than the Daily Bugle...", and Gwen replied, "What's going on, Peter? What do you get in your hand?".

Peter blushed a bit as he rubbed his arm, "Well, mostly as you girls probably understand; crimefighting doesn't exactly pay anything and I've been trying to look around for something that's a bit less dangerous than trying to earn money fighting in shady boxing matches.". He then sighed and handed Jean the flyer.

"Wanted: Daily Bugle Editor J. Jonah Jamison is looking to pay for high quality images of the so-called Spiderman...", Jean read off.

Gwen groaned lightly, "Him again...Peter, you got the checks in last month by two weeks each, into Ben and May's accounts, and you're keeping the cash as a back-up! And besides, you would do better, Peter!".

Jean sighed, "I hate to say it, but Peter, the Daily Bugle is practically a gossip tabloid, especially with the internet fast-developing and all. And Jameson, he ain't probably the best boss ever if he slanders you like that...".

"Yeah, that's fair enough there, but... he's offering cash for photos and who better to get it than myself? Or maybe one of you.", Peter rubbed his arm. "Look, I know the fight's cash certainly gave my folks some breathing room financially speaking for the time being but it's not going to last too long and getting some more, even if it's not as much, still is better than nothing. Plus, some part time work is good for a resume.".

Jasmine sighed deeply, "That's kind of narcissistic, taking pictures of yourself as Spiderman, Peter...Plus, how would you feel if Jameson personally slander you every day if that? Plus, you wouldn't have time to be on patrol, if you're tired mentally from hearing all that slander..".

Gwen nodded, "She's right, Peter. Maybe we should do something else financially while telling the people that you're around to do good, that you're not a menace!", with a scoff at the Daily Bugle issue on the table that Peter gave up.
