Hey guys, sorry if this chapter is a it slow, but wanted to get something out. Thank you for reading!

The girl awoke long before her alarm could wake her. Yawning, she stretches her arms above her head, noting the shining sun peaking through her blinds. She looks towards the figure in the opposite bed.

"Phoebe…" she calls out, "it's time to get up."

A loud snore was the response. Luna groans, throwing off the warm covers, and marches over to her sister's bed.

"Phoebe…"she groaned "please get up." She pats her sister on her shoulder. When Phoebe did not stir, Luna grabbed her shoulder and shook it vigorously. Surprisingly, the teen girl continued to slumber on and Luna put her hands up in defeat. Rolling her eyes, Luna makes her way to the bathroom. Luna yawned, rubbing a hand across her eyes and was met with her image of fair skin, white hair and red eyes.

After brushing her teeth a Beep! Beep! finally sounded. She hears the sound abruptly cut off and groans follow after. Luna shakes her head as she rinses her toothbrush and prepares to wash her face. She looks up again, and sees her younger sister stumbling into the door.

"Morning."

Phoebe doesn't respond. Her dark eyes were half-closed and her mouth was scrunched up into a frown. A black bonnet was covering her head as she proceeded to pull down her pants and sit on the toilet.

Luna stifles in a laugh. She knows that speaking to her sixteen year old at this point is no good until she gets some food and caffeine into her system. Leaving her sister to do her business in peace, Luna heads back to the bedroom to get dressed. She wears a white long-sleeved shirt with a red zip up hoodie with high-waisted jeans and tan boots that stopped at her ankles. Throwing her hair in a low ponytail, she exits out of the room, she follows the smell of eggs and coffee wafting through the hallway.

"That smells amazing," she announces as she leans in the doorway.

"Morning, Lulu." Alana Argent is plating omelets and looks up grins at her daughter. She gives her a small hug. "Do you mind setting these on the table?"

She nods, grabbing them plates filled with the fluffy, yellow food. She inhales the delicious scents as she brings the plates to a small round table. As she helps set the table while her mother goes to the fridge to grab orange juice.

As she's setting cups and pouring orange juice, she could hear the mumbling coming closer.

"Ugh, I hate mornings." Phoebe slinks in a seat herself in front of the eggs. She was wearing a black tank top with a blue plaid flannel, black pants with black combat boots. Her dark box braids were piled on top of her head, with two braids hanging on both sides of her dark brown face. Her chestnut colored eyes were still droopy, but she had her phone hanging lamely in her hands. Like their mother, Phoebe was short and curvy, though she was quick to give someone hell if they touched her hair or made fun of her.

Sipping an orange juice, Alana kisses her younger daughter on her head, setting a cup of orange juice. "Hey sleepyhead." The younger girl grumbled a little as she took a sip of her own juice while scrolling through her phone.

Alana, was short, with a cute round face and short brown hair that stopped at her shoulders. Her skin reminded her of warm honey with a curvy figure and ample bosom that made Luna slightly jealous. Her eyes were a beautiful hazel brown that can give comfort as well as strike fear if you cross her.

Luna takes a seat and digs into her omelet and groans in pleasure. "Mom, this is so good!"

Alana gives her a satisfied smile. "Thanks Lulu."

As both women dig into their breakfast, another set of footsteps can be heard approaching the kitchen.

"Morning ladies." A man in his mid-forties stumbles over his feet as he greets his family.

Keith Argent had sandy blonde hair that was often pulled back into a short ponytail. His eyes were clear and blue, usually paired with black frames. He had olive toned skin with a goatee the same color as his hair. His lanky frame was usually covered in a t-shirt and jeans with a long trench coat which was a size or two too large.

Alana stands and greets her husband with a kiss.

She goes over to the counter and grabs his coffee mug.

"Morning," she greets, smiling serenely up at him. Keith smiles back at her, giving her a kiss on the lips as he takes his coffee.

"Morning dad," Luna greets her father as he makes his way over to his daughters and kisses her on top of the head. He attempts to get Phoebe's attention but she barely glances up at him as she picks at her omelet.

"How did you girls sleep?" Take a sip of coffee as he waits for their answer.

" I slept okay." Luna replied, taking another gulp of orange juice.

"Just okay?"

Luna shrugs. "Yeah, it was just a really strange dream." She takes another bite of her omelet. "It's probably nothing."

"What may seem like nothing might actually be something."

"What do you mean?"

"Sometimes dreams are a way that your mind is trying to tell you something. It can serve as a catalyst to an extreme chemical reaction. Legends tell that dreams-"

"Dad," Phoebe deadpans, "it's way too early for all that." She waves her hand all over her dad.

Alana and Luna both chuckle as Keith deflates a little.

"Aww, but I was just getting started." He says.

"Ugh,"she groans. As Alana chuckles at her husband and daughter's antics, Luna begins to reflect on the dream. Images of the white wolf and a young girl flash through her mind as a haunting melody seeped into her memory:

Shailoh Shailoh, yatreet ka...

Shailoh shna.. otvit ka...

Hahla Hahla.. ahlah hah...

Shailoh washnee

fortee ney...

"Luna?"

Jerking out of her reverie, Luna looks up at her mother, a worried look crossing her features.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah," Luna shakes her head and gives her mom a reassuring smile. "I'm fine. Just…tired because of that weird dream."

Alana reached her hand out and laid it on her daughter's. "What was it about?"

"Oh it's probably nothing…" Luna trails off only for her mom to raise her eyebrow at the lie.

" It's just…it doesn't make sense. I see this wolf, this beautiful white wolf. Sometimes he's covered in blood and being held by this girl…"

Luna shakes her head. "It's probably nothing, but I can't help but feel that I'm supposed to know them somehow?"

Luna looks up at her mother, who has gone really still. Her eyes were widened, her mouth slightly ajar.

"Mom?" Alana was about to respond when Keith interrupted.

"Ah shoot!" He exclaimed. "We'd better get moving." He glances at Phoebe as she gets up to grab her backpack. Keith nearly trips as he attempts to get out of his seat.

Alana chuckled. "Careful dear, before you waste coffee all over the place."

Keith, laughing at himself, gives his wife a kiss.

He turns to Luna and gives her a quick hug.

"Love you both. "We'll see you later."

He heads towards the door.

"Alright, let's get this on the road." He calls out to Phoebe. Alana hugs her, telling her to call if she's staying after.

"See ya sis," Luna waves as Phoebe sticks her tongue out at her. "Lucky," she mumbled. "Wish I didn't have to go to class."

"Fear not, little sister. Just two more years and you'll be all grown up."

"Hmph."

And with that, both headed for the day.

With the two being gone, Luna and Alana begin to clean up the dishes.

"I swear," Alana tsked, "that man would lose his head if it wasn't on him." Luna laughs at this, agreeing with her. Suddenly, she feels her phone vibrate and as she checks the notifications, Alana and Luna, "Do you have work today?"

"Yeah," she responds, scrolling to view her schedule. "But I don't have to be there until 3."

Alana grins. "Wanna come with me to run some errands?"

Luna nods eagerly. "Sure"

Once the dishes are left to dry, Luna heads towards the sliding door that leads to the backyard. "I'm gonna be in the garden for a bit."

"Kay. I'll let you know when I'm ready to go."

She steps outside and stepping down from the patio, sees her herbs and flowers blooming in full view. Thyme, sage, rosemary and other herbs were blooming, rising tall from the dirt. Luna loved tending to her garden.

"Hello my lovelies," she greets them as she grabs her supplies for harvesting and pruning.

"Hello."

They chirped back at her, their voices chiming happily as Luna greets them. Despite how close she was to her parents, she never told them about this..ability to talk to plants. Not even her sister. It was already enough that she felt self conscious about her appearance, now she had to worry about these strange abilities.

It made her think of when she was younger, how the kids at school would joke about her being an albino. Luna always disputed this because she never suffered from light and sun sensitivity. If anything, she loved being outdoors, feeling the warmth on her skin. Though, she did wear glasses every now and then but only when she was reading something up close. They would go back and forth until Phoebe would step in and threaten to beat them up.

Now, even at nineteen, Luna still feels like an outsider more than ever.

But she was proud of herself for being able to make something of herself. Besides working part-time at the flower shop, Luna also had a side business of selling oils and tinctures that she brings to town.

"You all are blooming so beautifully today." She croons as she carefully harvests the herbs. "Thank you for letting use you today." The plants chatted back to her and she smiled at their selflessness.

Talking with her herbs help take her mind briefly off the conversation she had with her mom earlier. Growing up, she always felt like she was different. Her parents made it no secret that she was adopted. But she couldn't help but feel that they hadn't been completely forthright with the details of her past. And now with these dreams…

A sudden rustle in the wood startled her of her thoughts. She turns to the where the sound came from, finding the green bushes and trees behind her. "Probably just a squirrel." She concluded. But when she turned back, a slight wind sent a chill down her spine. The hairs on her neck stood up and Luna decided that maybe it was time to go.

Shivering slightly, she bid goodbye to her herbs, stepping carefully around them. Right before she goes inside, she takes a look back at the deep wood and slides the door closed.

Meanwhile

Once she felt that Luna was out of sight, Alana pulls out her smartphone. She taps out a message out stating: It's happening. We have to tell her soon.

She places the phone on the counter as she lets out an exhausted sigh. She fiddles with the pendant hanging from neck. "Ancestors, give me strength."
