Pink sat in her room against the far wall next to her closet, she'd been there all day, well since she'd gotten home from school. Everything was a mess, her life seemed as if it was spiraling out of her control. Where did she go from here? She had mere weeks left of this semester and then it would all be gone.

Her friendships, her happiness, her freedom...

It was all just slipping away!Pink tugged tearfully on her hair, groaning in aggravation, at this point she wasn't going to have any hair left to tug. She was so stressed out. She wasn't eating or sleeping, she just felt numb, she felt like everything was hopeless.

This wasn't for her own good, this was so her mom could stay in control. She couldn't even look at her mom, let alone talk to her. She felt so betrayed...annoyed conflicted about her mom now. What rational reason could she have for any of this? For being a complete control freak monster. It just didn't seem fair.

Pearl was the only one she told the truth to, because she was her only friend she could trust. Pink trusted her with her life. She knew none of the others would understand. So, though it pained her to do, Pink knew the only way to protect them from her mother's wrath was to sever ties with them. For now at least. So Pink started eating either by herself or with Pearl at lunch. It was better that way.

Though Pink didn't know when this would pass, or if it ever would, she just knew she could only handle having one friend right now. Pearl was safe, and good. Pearl was her first friend, and she'd have to be her only one right now.

But it stung like crazy, she'd gotten a taste of that sweet freedom and God did she never want to go back to how it use to be. It just wasn't fair. Why'd her mom have to be so damn controlling all the time?!

White was flailing, why'd she done that? She'd gone way overboard with Pink and she knew it. She'd just felt like her baby was slipping away, first some secret boyfriend then the talking back, the balant lying, she couldn't lose her Pink to the world. But was isolating her the best way to go about this? The obvious answer was no but sometimes parents just had to do what they thought was best in order to keep their kids safe.

She'd given in to Blue, way back when she was sixteen and now look what she had to deal with. Pink thought she'd gotten an adoptive sister. Technically she'd gotten a sister just... sister-in-law, ugh parenting was hard. White never knew what she was doing, she just knew she had to keep Pink safe, keep her and Blue safe, close. If they found her, if she lost her babies she'd never forgive herself. Everything she did was to keep her children safe and if that made her the bad guy well then she'd gladly be the bad guy.

"No, you're not even... You never listen! why do you hate me?! Why?"

Pink's angry words circled her mind and stabbed at her heart. She hated being the bad guy, but she would hate losing her Pink more. She especially couldn't keep Pink safe if she was running all over the town doing who knows what.

Tiredly she dragged a hand down her face, tugging on her hair slightly as she struggled with how best to fix things with her youngest. Pink definitely wasn't that bubbly bright eyed child anymore, who could be bought with candy and stickers.

A knock echoed throughout her house, she groaned slightly, the last thing she needed was company right now. She heavily regretted sending Wendy home early. Now she was gonna have to deal with the door herself... Pink definitely wasn't going to answer it, because she'd become an angry hermit these last few days.

Begrudgingly pushing herself out of her office chair, White logged out of her computer and briskly moved to answer the door before whoever was there lost interest and ran off.

She double blinked at the young teen who stood on her front stoop, holding tight to a textbook.

"Ah ...eh..um...hello Ms.Diamond, I don't know if you remember me, but Pink forgot her algebra textbook at school..." Pearl whispered nervously twirling a short lock of her blonde hair as she anxiously shuffled her feet.

"Hello Pearl, that was very thoughtful of you to bring this to Pink." White said evenly as she studied the nervous child. Pearl nodded politely before holding out the book towards the adult. White smiled slightly, this was her solution. Pearl was polite, her parents were respectable people, if she let Pink hang out with Pearl then maybe Pink would comply with her rules better. "Why don't you run it up to her, I'm sure Pink would love to see you?" White suggested carefully and watched in slight amusement as Pearl's big blue eyes widened in slight shock before she schooled her features and nodded courteously.

"Thank you, Ms. Diamond." She proclaimed before hastily moving into the house. White smirked after her, as she shut the door and moved back towards her office. Blue and Yellow would be coming back tomorrow, she still had some paperwork to finish up before then.
