Hi, everyone! I'm back with another chapter of Ash's Ponyville Adventures! Have you ever asked a favor of someone and they accept the offer to help? Well sometimes, the person asking the favor is can usually be a bit picky and want certain changes to it only to make them look ridiculous and humiliate your friends! The girls are going to learn that the hard way when Rarity helps make some dresses for the girls! All aboard for a new adventure!

Opalescence: [meows]
Rarity: Why, yes! I did make it myself. Thank you so much for asking.
Opalescence: [low growl]
Rarity: Oh, Opal, of course you can help me. Thank you.
Opalescence: [low growl]
Rarity: What's that? You want to help me more? Oh, aren't you the sweetest thing?
Opalescence: [meows]
Rarity: Careful now. Don't move. This shouldn't take long at all.

On the hilltop, we see two mysterious figures that turn out to be Ash and Rarity as they used their magic to create a bright light, as they read the title of the next chapter!
Ash: Chapter 14...
Rarity: Suited for Success!

Ash: What's this favor you wanted to ask Rarity, Twilight?
Twilight Sparkle: [pulls out a dress] I just need her to fix this button on my dress that I'm wearing to the gala!
Ash: Okay! [smiles] I'm sure you'll look awesome in it!
Twilight Sparkle: [blushes] Thanks, Ash!
Pikachu: Twilight, why are you blushing?
Twilight Sparkle: Huh? [shakes off the blush] What blush? I don't know what you're talking about, Pikachu!
Lucario: [chuckles] Sure, Twilight. We believe you.
Twilight Sparkle: Will you shush!
[knocking]
Applejack: Howdy, Rarity!
Twilight Sparkle: Shh... can't you see Rarity is trying to concentrate?
Rarity was trying to make something!
Ash: [in his mind] Wow! She's really focused!
Applejack: [whispers] What do you think she's makin'?
Twilight Sparkle: [whispers] Looks like a dress.
Applejack: [whispers] Well, that makes sense. Since this is a dressmaker's shop and all.
Ash: [sternly] Shh!
Applejack: [whispers] What?
Rarity: Is there something I can help you with?
Twilight Sparkle: Oh, so very sorry to trouble you, Rarity, but I need a quick favor. [takes her dress out of her satchel and places it on the desk] Could you please fix the button for me? It's my dress for the Grand Galloping Gala.
Rarity: [gasps] Oh, no, no, no! You can't wear this... old thing. You need a glamorous new outfit for the Gala and I'll make it for you. No problem at all. It will be my pleasure!
Twilight Sparkle: Oh, that's really sweet of you to offer, Rarity, but I can't let you do that. It would be so much work. This dress is fine.
Rarity: Twilight Sparkle. I insist on making you a new dress.
Twilight Sparkle: But...
Rarity: [waves her hoof in front of her face] Not another word! I won't take no for an answer.
Twilight Sparkle: Well, in that case... thank you for your generosity, Rarity. Knowing your handiwork, I'm sure it will be absolutely beautiful.
Ash: I agree! You're the best in Equestria when it comes to fashion, Rarity!
Rarity: Why thank you, Ash!
Ash: No problem!
Pikachu: You are really awesome with clothes, Rarity! Not to mention pretty too!
Rarity: Oh, you flatter me, Pikachu!
Ash: By the way, Rarity! What kind of dress are you making today?
Rarity: Only the finest for moi!
That's when she looked at Ash for a moment!
Rarity: Oh no no no no! This simply will not do!
Ash: Huh? What's wrong?
Rarity: We need to get you a suit!
Ash: Uh... Why?
Pikachu: Yeah, why?
Rarity: For the Grand Galloping Gala of course!
Ash: Oh yeah! I forgot about that! I didn't even consider wearing a suit!
Rarity: Well, if you're going to the Grand Galloping Gala, you'll need to look nice!
Ash: Right! But I don't have a suit!
Rarity: Never fear, dear! I happened to have made you one thanks to some quick measurements I made the other night while you were sleeping!
Ash: [gasps] Wow! That's awesome! Thanks so much, Rarity!
Twilight Sparkle: Wait! You took his measurements while he was sleeping?
Applejack: How in tarnation did you do that?
Rarity: That's my little secret!
She then looks at Applejack with an unimpressed look.
Rarity: Let me guess, Applejack. You don't want a new gown either.
Applejack: Gown? Shoot. I was just gonna wear my old work duds.
Rarity: You can't possibly be serious, Applejack! You absolutely must wear formal attire.
Ash: She's got a point, AJ!
Pikachu: You gotta dress nice to look your best!
Lucario: Mmhmm!
Applejack: Hm... nah.
Rarity: What if I just spruce up your... duds for you a little bit?
Applejack: Um... okay, sure, why not? Since you're up for it and all. Just don't make them too... frou-frou-y.
Ash: She has a point! She won't hear the end of Krookodile, Hitmontop, and Zorua's teasing if she wears something... frou-frou-y.
Applejack: Exactly!
Rarity: Deal!
That's when they heard a certain rainbow Pegasus!
Rainbow Dash: Look out below!
Ash: Uh oh!
Pikachu: Look out!
[crash]
Rainbow Dash ended up crashing through the roof and into some mannequins.
Rainbow Dash: Sorry. New trick. Didn't quite work.
Ash: Ugh! Rainbow, get off of me!
Rainbow Dash: Uh! Oops! My bad!
Lucario noticed the huge hole in the wall and raised an eyebrow.
Lucario: How can she make a hole that big?
Rainbow Dash: Um... [whistles nervously]
Lucario: That's a no then!
Ash: Oh brother!
However, Rarity was looking at the clothes that were on top of Rainbow!
Rarity: Hmm... [gasp] [sing-song voice] Idea! [normal voice] I'll make you an outfit for the Gala too, Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash: Outfit for the what now?
Rarity: I'll make one for you and you and all of you. Oh! And of course Pinkie and Fluttershy too. Oh, and when I'm done, we can hold our very own fashion show!
Ash: A fashion show?
Pikachu: Really?
Twilight Sparkle: What a great idea! If you're sure you can handle it.
Ash: I'm not even sure if I'm fashion show material!
Rainbow Dash: Yeah, you've got a point there!
Rarity: Come now, Ash! I'm sure you'll do just fine, darling!
Ash: Really? You think I'd qualify for fashion material?
Rarity: Of course! I wouldn't be saying if it weren't true! Now would I?
Ash: Yeah, you're not wrong! Thanks, Rarity! I really appreciate it!
Rarity: My pleasure, dear!
Twilight Sparkle: Anyways, making those dresses won't pressure you, right?
Rarity: [uses her magic to levitate fabric] Oh, it'll be a little bit of work, but it will be a wonderful boost for my business. Plus, fun!
Rainbow Dash: Oh, I love fun things!
Ash: [giggles] You kinda sound like Pinkie, Rainbow!
Rainbow Dash: I sound nothing like Pinkie Pie!
Lucario: She loves fun things, and you love fun things!
Rainbow Dash: But...but...but I...I...I!
Ash and Pikachu: [giggles]
Rarity: Then it's settled. We'll have a fashion show starring us!
Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Ash: [Yay! Yeah! Alright!]
Applejack: So all you have to do is make a different, stunning, original, amazing outfit for one, two, three, four, five—plus yourself—six ponies? And lickety split?
Rarity: Oh, Applejack. You make it sound as if it's going to be hard.
Ash: Well, if you want, I could help you in any way I can! Not that I know much about making clothes anyway!
Rarity: I appreciate your kind gesture, Ash, but I'll be fine!
Besides, you're always so generous to me when you let me borrow Leavanny!
Ash: I guess that's true!
Then, Rarity started to snip fabric with her magic!

Soon, Rarity was about to show Ash and the girls their outfits, but she had them close their eyes first!
Rarity: That's it. Keep them closed. Don't look.
Pikachu: [about to open its eyes]
Rarity: Hey! I see you trying to peak, Pikachu!
Pikachu: [covers its eyes] Oops!
Rarity: Okay, you can look now!
When they opened their eyes...
Main cast sans Rarity: [gasp]
Rarity: These are your new outfits.
Ash: [with sparkling eyes] Wow!
Pikachu: Amazing!
Lucario: Very well done!
Arcanine: Incredible!
Lycanroc: Spectacular!
Leavanny: Naturally!
Rarity: What do you think of your old duds now, Applejack? Pretty swanky, are they not?
Applejack's dress was western themed, as it came with a pair of green boots with red and white trimming and a band around the base of the boot, a green collar with an apple at the center, a hat similar to hers with a pair of apples on it, a green dress with a white band separating the dress from brown tassels, and a series of apples on the white band.
Lycanroc: Not bad! Kinda gives your old outfit a new kind of character, AJ!
Rarity: And Twilight! I made this dress for you and I designed each outfit theme to perfectly reflect each pony's unique personality.
Twilight's dress was a blue cape with a light blue saddle and stars that were either white and blue all over it and a star earring with another star at the center of the neck.
Pikachu: Wow! It's amazing!
Ash: Sure is! I'm sure you'll look spiffy in that outfit, Twilight!
Twilight Sparkle: [blushes] Thank you, Ash!
Arcanine: Why so red, Twi?
Twilight Sparkle: Red?! [shakes off the blush] I-I'm not red! I don't know what you're talking about!
Rarity: Oh, it took me forever to get the colors right on this one, Rainbow Dash, but I did it. Oh, and it turned out beautiful, don't you think?
Rainbow Dash's dress had a pair of gold sandals for her front hooves and wrapped around her legs, it also had a pearl necklace with grapes at the center, a pair of olive branches that rested on the head, and a rainbow colored dress with white puffy lining like a cloud.
Arcanine: [as he licks his lips] Mmmm! Yum! Some parts of that outfit look good enough to eat!
Rarity: Arcanine!
Arcanine: [chuckles] Relax, Rare! I'm just kidding!
Rarity: Oh, good! And I know you are going to love yours, Fluttershy. It just sings spring!
Fluttershy's dress had a pair of green sandals like Rainbow Dash's with green vine looking ribbons wrapped around the legs, a green neck adornment with a large blue butterfly at the center and one for her ear, and a flowing green dress with flowers on it.
Leavanny: I can almost feel the springtime from that outfit!
Rarity: And Pinkie Pie, look! Pink! Your favorite!
Pinkie's dress had a pair of pink shoes with white and light blue striped ribbons, a white hat with light blue lining and a yellow button with pink frills on it, a pink bow tie holding a saddle striped white and light blue with white frills in front, on the back of it were light pink frills, dark pink frills, a white train with candy lining the base and a pink dress with a light blue ribbon following the base.
Lucario: [sweat drops] That literally Pinkie's personality!
Rarity: And Ash! Here's your suit! And I made it the same color as the outfits from those pictures from during your travels!
Ash: [gasps]
And she was right! The outfit matched the same outfit he wore at the Wallace Cup, only it was red, gold and black and it even had the brown fedora!
Ash: [eyes sparkle] Wow!
Pikachu: Awesome!
Rotom Dex: [as he takes pictures of the outfits] Rarity's specialty: Fashion! Data updated!
Ash: [hugs Rarity] Thanks so much, Rarity!
Rarity: Oh! Uh, you're welcome!
Twilight was a little jealous from that!
Rarity: Aren't they all amazing?
Ash: I'll say!
Pikachu: Yeah!
Rotom Dex: I agree!
[pause]
Ash: Girls, what's up?
Twilight Sparkle: Wow... they're...
Rainbow Dash: Yeah, they're...
Applejack: They sure are... somethin'.
Twilight Sparkle: Yes! Something.
Pinkie Pie: I love something! Something is my favorite!
Fluttershy: It's... nice.
Rarity: But what's the matter? Don't you like them?
Ash: Yeah! Don't you guys like what Rarity made?
Twilight Sparkle: They're very nice...
Applejack: And we're plumb grateful 'cause you worked so hard on them.
Rainbow Dash: Mine's just not as cool as I was imagining. [as Twilight and Applejack shoot her dirty looks] She asked.
Twilight Sparkle: I guess what we're all saying is that they're just not what we had in mind.
Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy: [Yeah. Uh-huh.]
Ash: Girls! How can you be so ungrateful?! Rarity worked really hard on these outfits and you're telling her that they're not what you have in mind?!
Pikachu: Yeah! You should be more appreciative!
Rotom Dex: Shame on you!
Rarity: [sigh] That's okay. Not a problem. There's plenty more where that came from. They were only a first pass. You're my friends and I want you to be one hundred and ten percent satisfied. Not to worry, I'll redo them.
Ash: Well, not mine though! I think mine's perfect! [glares at the other girls] Unlike some ponies!
Applejack: [chuckles nervously]
Twilight Sparkle: Look, Ash! We...
Ash: Save your excuses! I don't want to hear it!
Rarity: Now now, Ash darling! Calm down!
Ash: Huh?
Rarity: [as she pats his head] I appreciate you sticking up for me, but I don't mind fixing their dresses!
Fluttershy: Oh, Rarity. You don't have to do that. They're fine.
Rarity: I want them to be better than just fine. I want you to think they're absolutely perfect.
Applejack: Are you sure? I mean, we wouldn't wanna impose.
Rarity: Oh, it's no imposition. Really, I insist.
Twilight Sparkle: Well, in that case... thank you again, Rarity.
Rarity: [strained laughter] What have I gotten myself into?
Ash: [mumbles] Picky Ponies!
["Who's That Pokémon?" time]
[as a silhouette shows a mantis Pokémon]
Ash and Rarity: Who's that Pokémon?
Ash and Rarity: It's Leavanny!
[as the silhouette reveals Leavanny]
Leavanny: LEAVANNY!

Rarity was now working on new outfits, and Ash was interested!
Ash: You sure you can handle fixing their dresses, Rarity?
Rarity: Of course, dear!
Rotom Dex: [as he takes pictures] Rarity taking pride in her work! Data updated!
Leavanny: Must you take pictures, Rotom?
Rotom Dex: I must have every bit of info to add to my database! After all, I want to collect as much info as possible!
Fluttershy: Hello? You wanted to see me, Rarity?
Ash: Oh! Hey, Fluttershy!
Rarity: Fluttershy! Your new-new gown's ready. I completely revised it and I know you're going to love it.
Soon, she was wearing her new outfit!
Ash: Wow, Fluttershy! You look great!
Pikachu: Absolutely spiffy!
Lucario: Agreed! You look beautiful, Fluttershy.
Leavanny: You look fabulous!
Fluttershy just blushed from the praise!
Rarity: What do you think?
Fluttershy: I... love it.
Ash: Do you? Or are you just saying that?
Rarity: Agreed, darling! You're just saying that.
Fluttershy: No, no. I do. It's... nice.
Rarity: "Nice"?
Fluttershy: Nice.
Rarity: If you don't like it, you should just tell me.
Ash: She's only saying that to not hurt your feelings!
Fluttershy: Oh, but I do like it.
Rarity: Like it or love it?

Fluttershy: Please stop asking me this, I...
Rarity: Well, just tell me what you really think.

Ash: Rarity, calm down!
Rarity: Sorry!
Fluttershy: All right! Since you really wanna know... [inhales] the armscye's tight, the middy collar doesn't go with the shawl lapel, the hems are clearly machine-stitched, the pleats are uneven, the fabric looks like toile, you used a backstitch here when it clearly called for a topstitch or maybe a traditional blanket stitch, and the overdesign is reminiscent of prêt-à-porter and not true French haute couture.
Ash's jaw dropped at the words that just came out of her mouth!
Ash: Whoa!
Pikachu: That's a lot to take in all at once!
Rotom Dex: Agreed!
Fluttershy: But, uh... you know... um, whatever you want to do is fine.
Later, Rarity was fixing the other girls' outfits and listening to their requests.
Twilight Sparkle: Now, the stars on my belt need to be technically accurate. Orion has three stars on his belt, not four.
[Rarity]

Pinkie Pie: More balloons! Oh no, that's too many balloons. More candy! Oh, less candy.
Ash: Can't you make up your mind, Pinkie?!
Pinkie Pie: Nope!
Ash: Good grief!
Pinkie Pie: Oh wait, I know. Streamers!
Rarity: Streamers?
Pinkie Pie: Whose dress is this?
Rarity: Streamers it is.
Rarity was now fixing Rainbow's dress, and she didn't seem to make any suggestions.
Rainbow Dash: What?
Rarity: Aren't you going to tell me to change something too?
Ash: Yeah! Aren't you?!
Rainbow Dash: No, I just want my dress to be cool.
Rarity: Do you not like the color?
Rainbow Dash: The color's fine, just make it look cooler.
Rarity: Do you not like the shape?
Rainbow Dash: The shape's fine, just make the whole thing... you know, cooler. It needs to be about twenty percent cooler.
Ash: Oh, [facehooves himself] brother!
Rainbow Dash: What?
Rarity just banged her head against a mannequin in frustration!
[Pinkie Pie]

Ash: Hmmmm! Oh! I know what might make them not that bad! I hope this spell I learned works! [uses magic from his horn and concentrates]
Then, he made five flowers appear! And they were all blue with a white center for nectar bit!
Ash: These might make them a little better!
Rarity was intrigued at the flowers!
Rarity: Ooh!
Ash: Whaddya think?
Rarity: Oh, they're lovely! Best flowers I've ever seen! Um, one question though!
Ash: Yes?
Rarity: What kind are they?
Ash: They're Fire Flowers!
Rarity: Fire Flowers?
Ash: They're magic! If you touch one, you'll get special fire powers!
Rotom Dex: [takes a picture] Fire Flower! Data updated!
Ash: I made them appear to help make the outfits less chaotic-looking!
Rarity smiled with delight and hugged Ash!
Ash: Whoa! Rarity!
Pikachu: I didn't see that coming!
Rarity: That was so thoughtful of you, Ash!
Ash: It's no problem, Rarity! I was happy to do it!
Rarity: And that's what makes you the best friend ever!
Ash: [tints a small blush] Aww, shucks!
However, he seemed to be focused on a sketch of a dress Rarity seemed to be creating.
Ash: Hmm...
Later that day...
Rarity: Okay. I did exactly what each of you asked for. Now don't hold back. Let me know what you really think.
Ash: [whispers to Rotom Dex] I know fully well that they're a nightmare and a half!
Pikachu: [whispers] Yeah!
Rotom Dex: Agreed!
Twilight Sparkle: Oh my!
Fluttershy: It's... perfect!
Rainbow Dash: It's cool!
Applejack: Why, they're the best duds I ever did see.
All sans Rarity: It's exactly what I asked for!
Ash: They can't be serious!
Pikachu: They are!
Rotom Dex: They'll certainly be a laughing stock of they put those outfits on!
Rarity: [sighs]
Twilight Sparkle: Thank you, Rarity.
Pinkie Pie: Are you as happy with them as we are? Huh? Huh? Huh?
Ash: I'm certainly not! Not with outfits that'll make them look ridiculous!
Pikachu: Yeah, Ash!
Rotom Dex: I couldn't agree more!
Rarity: Well, I'm... happy that all of you are happy. I'm just relieved to finally be done.
Pinkie Pie: [notices the Fire Flowers] Ooh! Pretty!
Ash: Hey! Don't touch them! They're Fire Flowers! I thought of adding them to your outfits to make them less chaotic-looking! If anything, they're for an emergency while at the gala!
Applejack: What exactly do they do, sugarcube?
Ash: If you touch one, it'll give you fire powers!
Rainbow Dash: Fire powers?! Now that sounds awesome!
Twilight Sparkle: Why would you need one, Ash? You have magic and you can use any type of Pokémon move!
Ash: Well, you never know when you need another kind of power! Besides, it's nice to vary powers now and then!
[door opens]
Spike: [panting]
Ash: Whoa, Spike! What's going on?!
Spike: You are never gonna believe this! You've heard of Hoity Toity?
Twilight Sparkle: The bigwig fashion hotshot in Canterlot?
Rotom Dex: I can't say that I have heard of him!
Ash: [to Twilight] He's some kind of fashion critique?
Twilight Sparkle: Yep!
Spike: Uh-huh. He heard about your fashion show. Well, maybe I happened to mention it to him... he's coming here all the way from Canterlot to see your work, Rarity!
Ash: Wait, what?!
Pikachu: Not good!
Lucario: [facepalms] Oh brother!
Applejack: Whoa, Nelly! You could sell a ton o' dresses to this guy. Your business will be boomin'!
Twilight Sparkle: Wow!
Rainbow Dash: That's so cool!
Pinkie Pie: I don't believe it!
Rarity: Hoity Toity? He's coming here? To see THESE dresses?
Leavanny: While they look like THIS?!
Spike: Yep! Get ready for all of your dreams to come true.
But Rarity was just really worried!
Ash: Oh botheration! Spike! Go sit in the corner for half an hour!
Spike: The corner?! Why?!
Ash: It's to teach you a lesson about being a blabbermouth! Now, go!
Spike: Phooey! [goes to the corner]
Ash: Hmph!
That night, many ponies were gathered to see the fashion show, just as Hoity Toity was approaching.
Rarity: [sticks her head out of the curtains] Oh. [gasp] There he is!
Ash: [sticks his head out of the curtains] Who is it?
Rarity: Hoity Toity!
Hoity Toity: [claps hooves]
A random colt brought Hoity Toity a pillow, and when he sat on it, he ended up sitting on the colt's snout as well.
Ash: [sweat drops] A bit stuck-up, isn't he?
Pikachu: Yeah!
Lucario: He doesn't even notice that he's sitting on that pony's snout!
Rarity: [deep breaths] Okay. Relax, Rarity. Your friends like their outfits and so will he.
Ash: Somehow, I doubt it!
Pikachu: [notices Ash wearing his suit] Wow, Ash! You look awesome!
Ash: Oh! Thanks, Pikachu!
Lycanroc: I agree!
Ash: Thanks, you guys! [to Rarity] [nervous a bit] So, how do I look, Rarity?
Rarity: You look fabulous, dear!
Ash: [blushes a bit] Thanks! At least Hoity Toity will like the suit, right?
Rarity: Probably! Yes!
Then, the lights started to dim!
Rarity: [squeals] What's wrong with the lights?! Oh, yes. That means the show's starting. Good.
[music]
Spike: Since the beginning of time, the elite of Equestria have longed for pony fashions that truly expressed the essence of their very souls. Patiently waiting decades—no, centuries—for the perfect pony gown. Today, at long last, Equestria, your wait is over! Let's hear it for the breathtaking designs of Ponyville's own Rarity!
When Ash and the girls stepped outside, the girls looked absolutely ridiculous in their outfits!
[ponies murmuring]
Mares: Ooh! Aah!
Ash: [chuckles]
But the crowd was still continued to give the girls weird looks!
Applejack: Why's everypony lookin' at us like that?
Ash: Because they think you look ridiculous!
Twilight Sparkle: [looks down at her dress] Oh dear.
Rainbow Dash: You think we overdid it?
Ash: I don't think! I know you overdid it!
Applejack: Nah.
One look at her galoshes made her agree with Ash and Rainbow.
Applejack: Okay, maybe a little.
Ash: A little?!
Applejack: Okay a lot!
Ash: Right! Now, I would best suggest you all get out of those outfits stat!
But it was too late, as Hoity Toity spoke up!
Hoity Toity: Oh, those amateurish designs look like a piled-on mishmash of everything but a kitchen sink! It's a travesty is what it is. However, the suit on the prince was absolutely smashing, but those other outfits are the ugliest things I've ever seen, oh for shame! Who is responsible for subjecting our eyes to these horrors? Not to mention wasting my valuable time.
Lycanroc: [angry] A waste of your time?! How dare you?!
Arcanine: [angry] Yeah! Rarity worked really hard on these outfits!
Ash: Yeah! What they said!
Pikachu: The most important thing is she did her very best!
Rarity [to Opal]: Oh! Hide me.
Leavanny: And me too!
Lucario: [facepalms himself] Oh, brother!
Spike: Come on out and take a bow, Rarity. You worked really hard for this. Yes! All right, woo-hoo! Go, Rarity! [notices Lucario glaring at him] What?
Lucario: Corner! NOW!
Spike: What is it with the corner?!
Lucario: Because baby dragons need to be taught discipline! Now, go!
Spike: Rats! [goes to the corner]
Rarity walked down the isle while looking nervous and embarrassed, while the girls just gave her nervous smiles, looking embarrassed themselves.
Ash: [to Pikachu] This doesn't look good, buddy!
Pikachu: I know!
Lycanroc: [to Opal] This isn't gonna end well!
Opal just said nothing, not caring about the situation!
A few days later, Rarity has locked herself in her room in shame, but then Ash and the girls came to see her.
Pinkie Pie: [knocks on the door] Rarity? You okay in there? You haven't come out for days.
Ash: Rarity! Please come out!
Pikachu: We're worried about you!
Lycanroc: Yeah!
Rarity: I'm never coming out! I can't show my face in Ponyville ever again! I used to be somepony. I used to be respected. I made dresses. Beautiful, beautiful dresses! But now everypony is laughing at me. I'm nothing but a laughing stock! [sobs]
Lycanroc: Don't say that, Rarity!
Twilight Sparkle: Lycanroc's right. You're not a laughing stock, Rarity...
Rainbow Dash: She kind of is. [as Lucario bonks her] Ow!
Lucario: Keep your muzzle shut! You have no room to talk since you and the others looked ridiculous! And besides, Hoity Toity coming here for the fashion show was all Spike's fault in the first place!
Spike: I said I was sorry! You don't have to rub it in!
Twilight Sparkle: Shhh! Come on out and talk to us.
Ash: Please, Rarity?
Rarity: [sobbing] Leave me alone! I vant to be alone! I want to wallow in... whatever it is that ponies are supposed to wallow in! Do ponies wallow in pity? Oh, listen to me, I don't even know what I'm supposed to wallow in! I'm so pathetic!
Twilight Sparkle: Now what do we do?
Fluttershy: Uh... panic?
Arcanine: Seriously, Fluttershy?! Panic?!
Rainbow Dash: Yeah! That's your answer for everything!
Ash: Girls, I'm really disappointed in you!
Rainbow Dash: And why are you disappointed at us?
Ash: You should've been more grateful for the outfits Rarity first designed for you!
Pikachu: Yeah! You should've been more grateful! But oh no, you girls had to be ungrateful and have Rarity make changes to your outfits and they looked chaotic-looking and you girls didn't take notice at first! And furthermore, you girls made Hoity Toity give bad criticism to the outfits and you humiliated her! So, Ash isn't the only one who's disappointed in you girls!
Rainbow Dash: Listen-
Twilight Sparkle: No, Rainbow Dash. They're right.
Rainbow Dash: But-
Twilight Sparkle: No "buts", Rainbow! It was our fault Rarity got humiliated!
Twilight approached Ash with a sorry look on her face.
Twilight Sparkle: You're right, Ash! We've should've been grateful for the outfits Rarity first designed!
Ash: It's alright, Twilight! But for now, I think it's best if I talked to her, alone! Why don't you girls go home and I'll try to sort things out! Pikachu, I'll need you, Arcanine, Lycanroc and Lucario to escort Twilight back to the library!
Applejack: Ash, we can't just leave Rarity like this.
Pinkie Pie: She'll become a crazy cat lady!
Twilight Sparkle: She only has one cat.
Pinkie Pie: Give her time.
Twilight then peeked through the keyhole and saw the sketches and design for Rarity's outfit.
Twilight Sparkle: Hm...
Ash: I know exactly what you're thinking, Twilight!
Twilight Sparkle: So, are you going to help?
Ash: No! I don't think your idea is going to work like the other ideas you had! Now, you girls scram outta here and let me talk to her alone!
And the Pokémon started pushing the girls and Spike away from the door!
Rarity continued to isolate herself in her room and was now looking at herself in the mirror.
Rarity: Exile... I guess technically I'd have to move away to live in exile. Where would I go? And what would I pack? Oh, it's going to take me forever to do all of that packing. What are you supposed to pack when you go to exile? Are you supposed to pack warm?
Ash: [knocks on the door] Rarity? It's me, Ash! Can I come in? I just wanna talk to you!
Rarity: Ash? Are the other girls with you?
Ash: Nope! Just me!
Rarity: Alright! Come in!
Ash: [comes into her room] Hey, Rarity!
Rarity: Hello, Ash!
Ash: You feeling okay?
Rarity: Not really! I'm thinking of packing my things and moving away into exile!
Ash: EXILE?!
Rarity: Yes! Since I can never show my face around Ponyville again!
Ash: Rarity, there is no possible way I'm letting you leave Ponyville!
Rarity: But you saw what happened! I'm a complete laughingstock now! I'm not fit to be seen by anyone else in Ponyville!
Ash: That's not true!
The spikey haired boy turned pony walked over to her and took her hoof.
Ash: Just because you got a bad critic about the outfits doesn't mean you have to go into exile! It's like when someone in my world once said: "Haters gonna hate!" And who cares what anyone thinks! I still think you're the best fashion designer in all of Ponyville! No, in all of Equestria!
Rarity: [blushes] You really think so, darling?
Ash: I don't think so! I KNOW so!
Rarity: Oh, Ash darling!
She then gave Ash a warm hug!
Rarity: Thank you!
Ash: [hugs her back] Of course, Rarity!
Rarity: [in her head] What is this feeling going on in my chest! It feels like my heart is racing! Is it...because of Ash?
Ash: Rarity? You okay?
Rarity: Oh! Um, yes! I'm fine!
Ash: Good! Also, what were those sketches I saw a few days ago?
Rarity: Oh! Well, they weren't anything exciting! Just designs!
Ash: Those were designs for your dress, weren't they?
Rarity: How did you know?
Ash: When you were designing the new outfits for the others! If you want, I can help you finish it sometime!
Rarity: You'd do that, Ash? For me?
Ash: [smiles] Sure! I'd do it for you!
Rarity: Oh, thank you, Ash! You're very sweet!
Ash: It's not a problem, Rarity!
Then, she kissed Ash on the cheek!
Ash: [blushes] Oh!
Rarity: Just a little something for your kindness!
Opalescence: [meowing]
Rarity: Huh? Opal?
They looked up and saw Opal stuck in a tree!
Opalescence: [meowing]
Ash: It is Opal! And she's stuck in a tree!
Rarity: Opal, how did you get up there? Hang on, you poor dear! Mama's coming! [rushes out of her room]
[door opens]
Ash: Hey! [runs after her] Wait for me!
When they got outside, they saw Rainbow Dash in the tree!
Rarity: [gasp] Rainbow Dash?! [angry] How dare you strand my poor Opal in a tree?!
Ash: And I thought I told you to go home?!
Rainbow Dash: Well, how else were we gonna get you out here to show you this?
Ash: Show us what?!
Turns out, the girls had finished Rarity's dress, with Leavanny's help!
Ash, Pikachu, Lucario, Arcanine and Lycanroc: HUH?!
Her Gala dress was a ball gown that was pink, magenta, purple, and yellow with jewels sewn in just the right places, along with a golden tiara with a magenta jewel at the center and a pair of magenta jewel earrings.
Rarity: What is it? It's not... you... [gasp]
Ash: I don't believe my eyes!
Pinkie Pie: We all finished your dress for you.
Applejack: Thanks to Fluttershy's freaky knowledge of sewing.
Fluttershy: [blushes] Do you like it?
Rarity: Like it? Like it?!
Fluttershy: Uh-uh. She doesn't like it.
Rarity: No, I don't like it.
Main cast sans Rarity: Awwww...
Rarity: I LOVE it!
Main cast sans Rarity: Yay!
Rarity: You ponies did an amazing job. It's exactly the way I imagined it.
Fluttershy: We just followed your brilliant design.
Twilight Sparkle: Like we should have let you do for our outfits. Those first dresses you designed were perfect.
Pinkie Pie: We're so super sorry.
Rainbow Dash: You worked really hard to make our dresses exactly the way we wanted them. We all saw how well that turned out.
Rarity: Oh, I forgive you.
Applejack: Well, that's mighty big of you.
Ash: [smiles] I'm really proud of you, girls!
Pikachu: It would seem that you girls learned your lesson!
Ash: [sighs] And I was pretty harsh.
Twilight Sparkle: Don't worry, Ash! We've forgiven you for it!
Ash: [smiles] Thanks, girls!
Rarity: But my whole career is still ruined!
Applejack: Oh, right. That.
Twilight Sparkle: Maybe not.
Ash: What are you talking about, Twilight?
Twilight Sparkle: [as she points] Look!
Turns out, Hoity Toity had shown up!
Hoity Toity: All right, I haven't got all day.
Ash: Trust me, Mr. Toity! You won't regret this!
Hoity Toity: I hope not! Though it is a pleasure to meet the Lost Prince of Friendship himself!
Ash: Thanks! You too! [to Leavanny] Why don't you show Mr. Toity in, Leavanny?
Leavanny: Of course! [to Hoity Toity] [leads him in] Right this way, sir!
Hoity Toity: Thank you!
Ash: And may I offer you some kind of refreshment? What do you prefer? Herbal tea? Ice water?
Hoity Toity: Ice water please!
Soon, Ash and the girls were getting ready show their outfits.
Hoity Toity: Take two.
Spike then closed the curtains to prevent the daylight from ruining the effects. Then, Rarity began the show by intensifying a blue light from her horn before she released a nova-effect of blue and white stars that cleared to reveal Twilight posing in her original with an outer-space background that shimmered with stars.
Hoity Toity: Hello... oh, this can't be the same designer.
Ash: [in his head while blushing] Oh wow! So beautiful!
Pikachu: Ash? What are you thinking about?
Ash: Huh? [shakes off the blush] Uh, nothing!
Then, a bright sun blinded him and the night was gone. In its place is an apple orchard, a bright shiny red apple getting lassoed and whipped as Applejack twirled it away and she posed in her original dress with her tail braided and her front legs crossed.
Hoity Toity: Simply magnificent! And I suddenly have a fierce craving for some Dutch apple pie, candied apples on a stick, apple turnovers, apple cobbler...
A light purple and pink mist clouded up the stage and then actual clouds appeared and rained sweets, some of which alighted themselves onto Pinkie who caught a gumdrop and ate it happily before smiling and posing in her dress.
Hoity Toity: Brilliant!
[thunder]
Ash: Where did that come from?
Flashes of red, green, blue, and yellow, the same colors as the lightning bolt when a storm cloud appeared and colored rays of light pierced its thickness. An array of colors shined before revealing Rainbow Dash who posed in her dress.
Hoity Toity: Oh, spectacular!
Ash: There's our answer!
Pikachu: Yep!
Lucario: Ash, we're up next!
Ash: Right! [using Flash] Flash!
Hoity Toity: What is...
The background was a meadow full of wild Pokémon with Ash coming out and wearing his suit with the Fire Flower clipped to the collar and Pikachu and Lucario were donning bowties!
Hoity Toity: I say! Even better than before!
Ash: [chuckles]
Twilight Sparkle: [in her head while blushing] He's just so handsome!
Then, Hoity Toity gasped to see vines rise up, flowers blooming and petals falling and from the fluorescent shower appeared with Fluttershy looking rather, well shy, but hopeful as she was in her dress that had butterfly accessories on it.
Hoity Toity: [clapping] Now this is a fashion show! All of these dresses are absolutely amazing. Who is responsible? Step forward, show yourself!
Ash: You'll see! Oh, Rarity!
Hoity Toity was then blinded for a moment as Rarity appeared on the stage, wearing her own Gala dress and her tiara, while looking absolutely beautiful.
Hoity Toity: Brava! Brava! Magnifico! Encore!
Rarity: Oh, thank you. Thank you! Oh, thank you so much!
Ash: Alright!
Pikachu: We did it!
Lucario: Indeed we did!
Later on, while Ash, the girls, and Pokémon were chatting and complimenting each other about their outfits, Twilight was having Spike write a letter to Princess Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle: Dear Princess Celestia,
This week, my very talented friend Rarity learned that if you try to please everypony, you often times end up pleasing nopony, especially yourself. And I learned this: when somepony offers to do you a favor, like making you a beautiful dress, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. [giggles]
Ash: [whispers in Twilight's ear]
Twilight Sparkle: Oh! And Ash says hi!
Then, Spike used his magic fire to send the letter to Celestia!
Ash: [giggles] Thanks! By the way, you look awesome, Twilight!
Twilight Sparkle: Thanks, Ash! So do you!
Ash: No problem! You look beautiful!
Twilight Sparkle: [blushes] Oh! Th-Thank you, Ash!
Ash: So, how do I look?
Twilight Sparkle: [inhales] [speaks fast] Handsome!
Ash: [blushes] Ya think so?
Twilight Sparkle: [blushes] [flustered] I... I...!
Ash: [smiles] You don't have to say anything if you don't want to.
Twilight Sparkle: [in her head] Come on, Twilight! Stop being a scaredy pony and tell him how you feel about him!
Hoity Toity: Rarity, my congratulations to you on a most impressive fashion debut. Would you do me the great honor of allowing me to feature your couture in my Best of the Best Boutique in Canterlot?
Rarity: [gasp]
Ash: Wow, Rarity! That's so awesome!
Pikachu: Yeah! Truly an honor!
Lycanroc: Agreed!
Rarity: [hugs Ash] Oh, I'm so happy right now!
Hoity Toity: Now, I'll need you to make a dozen of each dress for me by next Tuesday.
Leavanny: A dozen?! Of each dress?! By next Tuesday?!
[KOING!]
Leavanny: [as he faints] Oh!
[thud]
Rarity: [strained laugh]
Ash: Oh boy!
Pikachu: Bibbalycheese!
Lucario: [facepalms] [sighs] I'll find the scented candles! [walks off to find the scented candles]
Narrator: Well, it pays when you have a job in fashion design! And so, our heroes have some spectacular outfits for the Grand Galloping Gala! But what other adventures lie ahead before that day, as the journey continues!
