Chapter 21: Arc 2 Chapter 8: Luchadores, Bonds, and The Code:
Demiyah woke up one crisp and chilly November Saturday morning to a worried Kimberly shaking her awake. Demiyah asked, "Mom what's wrong?" Kim said, "Last night Kelvin was admitted to Alpha Operations Medical Center. He lost a fair bit of Ink but the doctors were able to stablize him." Demiyah now fully awake asked concerned, "What happened?!" Kim said, "That's just it we don't know. Kelvin hasn't spoken a word since he was admitted. We're on high alert! The Rangers and all of our Allies. I suggest calling that particular 'friend' of yours. To see if he has some more Miraculous that can set things up for a bigger rescue. Trista already volunteered to pick them up." Demiyah quickly pulled her messaging app up on her Ranger Comm and messaged Master Fu. She quickly explained the situation as Fu was one of the mages who cast the spell back in the 40's to erase the memories of the existance of Toons from the general populace's minds. Fu replied he had a second Miracle Box waiting to be picked up. He also suggested telling Takato and Mikey to alert the Miraculous users in their respective teams. Demiyah opened her chat with her siblings and informed them. To which they replied they would keep an eye out.
Demiyah blitzed through getting ready for the day and eating breakfast while sending an alert to all of their allies. The kids followed Demiyah to the Alpha Operations building as Ken sighed, "Does Kelvin ever get a break? First he was forced into being the third Dark Blue Ranger, then somehow he gets kidnapped by DATS to be experimented on, and now this! Damn, this won't end well for whoever caused the issue this time. I'm not an Empath and I know Demiyah is on a warpath but is keeping her emotions in check so she can focus on Kelvin." Connor's blue eyes held concern, "Big sis is really worried for him isn't she?" Ken nodded, "Kelvin was one of the first real friends from TPA she had made. Since it took most of her social circle half of the school year to trust her. Yakko and Calamity trusted her almost immediately. Because after a couple of days, they remembered when they got transported to the Digital World when Millenniummon was active. Demiyah was nice to them as soon as she met them. Because she knew what it was like getting thrown into another world not her own."
In the hospital room Demiyah just held Zero Kelvin in her arms as he bawled his eyes out hugging her. She hugged her friend rubbing comforting circles on his back. After what seemed like hours he calmed down enough to talk to Demiyah. Turned out, there was a group made up of supporters of Diomedes who captured Toons and turned them into lab rats. Demiyah asked, "Kelvin be honest with me, were any of the Toons Dipped?" Kelvin shook his head, "No they weren't. But that might change because I escaped. They grabbed me last week on my way home from hanging out with Rikochet and the others at Slammin' Doughnuts. Buena Girl, Pierre Del Fuego, and Penny Plutonium were with me. So they saw me get grabbed. They called the police, but the car was far away by the time they got there. They had to have a portal generator at some point. Or else they couldn't have gotten to their hideout." Kelvin described what he could remember of the area he was in before passing out. If not for JB patrolling that area, Kelvin could have been worse off or even dead! Demiyah ruffled his hair and said, "Get some rest Kelvin, I've got to get right to work to bring these pricks down."
Once she explained to the gathered Council Demiyah went to her personal lab and started gearing up. Her friends and family were looking at her worried. Especially when she pulled out the Ranger Slayer morpher. Kimberly knew what happened the last time she used that particular Morpher. It was brutal! That particular villain was still in the Psych ward! Batman and the League were stunned. The Avengers however were pleased. That man sexually assaulted children around six or seven years old before selling them off or killing them. She took something Tommy knew Demiyah would only use in strict danger from her safe. Which really made the assembled Rangers concerned. What did Demiyah know about this threat that they didn't?
Demiyah had cross referenced the location description and wouldn't you know it, the place was the former DATS lab they had raided a few months prior. From the device she pulled from the safe in her lab what looked like a red coyote came from inside. She said, "Blues Storm we have a situation. I already called Geo and the others their meeting me at the location." Blues Storm nodded and said in a male voice, "Of course partner. Let's go and take those pricks down." Demiyah smirked and replied, "You know it partner. Transcode! Protogirl!" In flash of red light Demiyah pink hair turned a shocking white as a red helmet with a black visor that looked similar to sunglasses appeared on her head as she wore a red and black suit similar to the Battle Network Protoman. She had met Protoman and his Operator Chaud Blaze when she was sent to save Protoman from being deleted when the digital and human world of the Battle Network dimension fused. Protoman was almost deleted but she stepped in. Megaman laughed when some of the other Navi's teased Protoman of having either a data created daughter or a fangirl. Needless to say the Proto's and Mega's of different realities had to team up with the Freedom Fighters of Mobius to keep Eggman from destroying reality. Her parents would flip Kimberly especially since she was a total nerd for anything Sonic The Hedgehog. To find out her daughter met her favorite video game character woul make Kim seriously jealous.
At the location the Star Force were waiting for their errant member. It had happened shortly after the defeat of Armageddemon. Since she hadn't been hounded by the media very much, Demiyah could basically go where she pleased. She met Geo while buying comics at the comic shop in Echo Ridge. The others she met gradually as time went on. Blues Storm she met when he had gotten injured during the fiasco with Noise. Geo had gotten hurt as Megaman. The others were captured. It looked like the Star Force would lose but Blues had appeared and offered his help in rescuing the Star Force. Demiyah was quick to accept the offer and had become Protogirl. Geo asking, "What happened?" Demiyah said, "Diomedes supporters possibly pulling a Judge Doom." That alone was enough for the Star Force. Normally they wouldn't use lethal force, but Diomedes had a 'Kill On Sight' order in every Hero team even Pretty Cure circles.
The Cyber Knights along with the Rangers would deal with the ones who tried to escape. While the Star Force dealt with things inside. Within the facility travelling the Wave Road Geo Stellar aka Megaman said disgusted, "How sick can you get? None of those Toons are even 18 Years old Physically or Mentally! By all ways their kids! Psychos all of them!" Solo aka Rogue said, "I agree. Completely barbaric!" Jack aka Jack Corvus said, "Less chatting and more fighting." Miraculous heroes were with them thanks to the Miraculous boxes Demiyah had been given. While those with Porygon and Rotoms were back at base hacking the mainframe of the group. Those defense oriented had a perimeter set up so the supporters of Diomedes couln't escape. Everyone else was spread around. All they needed were for the hockey puck charges Demiyah comissioned from Tanya to go off. Gemini Spark Black and White set them as they were the fastest pair. When they did, Jack stole a keycard and what looked like magnetic keys from one of the ringleaders. Harp Note used her Soundwave Sight to find the Toons. She had long since learned what a Human's Soundwave looked like compared to an Alien, a Magical Being, Magical Creature, Demon, Spirit, Angel, Ghost, Poltergeist, Youkai, Toon, or some type of Supernatural Being's Soundwave. It took over two years of Practice but she had very nearly perfected her ability. Soundwave were a living Being's indiviual Aura Pattern according to Ash just more concentrated. Ash was stuck in a Hospital bed as was Leon so they couldn't join in on the beatdown. But Demiyah promised there would be high ranking members in special cells that blocked all forms of escape thanks to research provided by Trista waiting for them.
So Ash and Leon had the job of Mission Control. Gary, Chloe, Dawn, Ritchie, Korrina, and Horace stepped up as Temporary Miraculous Users Using one's outside of the Miraculous Boxes that Demiyah had found over the years. A sort of Makeshift Set of Miraculous. There was a Dingo, a Penguin, a Chameleon, a Toucan, A parrot, a Duck, and several other Miraculouses she had found in the last several years. Korrina had the Jackal Miraculous. Chloe held the Robin Miraculous. Gary picked the Coyote Miraculous making Leon ask, "Does that mean your the Wile E. Coyote to my Roadie the Roadrunner?" Gary openly snorted at the comparission. Dawn picked the Penguin Miraculous. Horace chose the Raven Miraculous. While Ritchie picked the Falcon Miraculous.
Each Hero who wnet in either stormmed the so called 'Homo-Sapien Rebellion' or with Demiyah/Protogirl and Jack/Jack Corvus to rescue the kids. The Toons all had burns caused by Thinner. Some had Dip burns but she could tell none had been killed via Dip. Not yet anyhow. Protogirl asked, "What happened to cause you getting burned by Thinner and Dip?" One of the Toons stepped up and Protogirl really saw red. It was Louie! He said nervously, "One of the Prisoners, Zero Kelvin escaped. The ringleader his name in Phillip, said the Thinner and Dip burns were just the start of the punishments. He said Kelvin was most likely dead and before too long we would be. That was just before the explosion." Jack Corvus swiped the Keycard and unlocked the cage. Protogirl said, "You kids don't have to worry. My friends and I, we're the Good Guys. We're allies of the Power Rangers." Mettena Viruses were materialized as Protogirl smirked, "Battle Card Wide Sword!" It was awesome to use her EM Wave form in battle again. She made a mental note to carry around her Hunter VG around more often. The group amnaged to get outside and got the restriction cuffs off the children. When the ringleader threw a device that would temporarily disrupt their EM Wave transformations. Protogirl threw a barrier around Jack Corvus and the children. Taking the full blast.
Protogirl turned back into Demiyah shocking the Toons. Growling with her eyes glowing Dark Pink a pair of spectral figures showed up. Her adoptive parent's Shattered Grid Counterparts. Smiling sadly knowing what legacy she would take up. Kimberly's counterpart said, "Good Luck Demiyah. May the Power of the Ranger Slaer be used to protect as the Morpher was Originally intended for." Tommy's counterpart said, "You might not be my daughter as we are from a different reality. But you are a great Hero. May the Power Protect you and yours. Forever." Demiyah smiled and activated the Ranger Slayer morpher. Unlike when Drakkon used it on Kimberly of the Shattered Grid universe, Demiyah was in complete control of herself. She used bothe the Sword and Bow of Darkness. She had while exploring the remenants of the Shattered Grid Universe found the Gravezord and the few Sentries. She had reprogramed them and now they were used to be front line fighters. A Tyranno Sentry broadsided Phillip who had turned into a monsterous form. Sentries that looked similar to other Rangers showed up. Even if she was the adopted daughter of their Master's counterpart in the mechanical minds of the Sentries, Demiyah was their Lady and Misstress as the Heiress to Lord Drakkon's empire. Though she wanted none of it. Four of the Sentries brandished Weapons based on the Sword of Darkness. As there were alternate timelines where Different Rangeers were enthralled by Lord Drakkon. She had Saber of Darkness, the Nightmare Lance, Discord Ax, and Chaos Daggers on top of her Parent's alter's weapons. It allowed her to create the Dark Power Blaster and instead of destroying Phillip if locked away the monsterous form. Leaving him in his human form of greyish blonde hair and brownish eyes. His clothes a couple centuries out of date. And he had a serious distate for anything not Human.
There were a group of teenagers some with pointed ears in the group they had rescued. Demiyah found strange animals, that turned into staffs? She remembered that sort of thing was common in the Demon Realm. She motioned for the kids to enter the bus so they could get them medical attention. While the ones responsible for them being kidnapped were taken to a Ranger Prison following a very thurough interrogation. Phillip started spewing nonsense about 'purifying' the human race of magic. So Demiyah told the kids to close their eyes. She killed Phillip and burned the body leaving only a pile of ashes behind. She sighed and told the teenagers. "Killing is never easy to do. But you all have to understand not everybody can be saved. Because not everybody wants to be saved, Some people irregardless of where they come from are downright despicable."
Once she made sure the kids were settled in getting proper rest she went into Kelvin's room. She said, "I talked to the medics, They said you and the other Toon Kids will be able to go home in a couple days." Kelvin smiled and said, "I'm glad everyone got out safe. I still don't like hospitals very much, but I know I can trust the people who work here. I'm just happy we can spend time together again. Even if we aren't classmates anymore. We're still friends." Demiyah's eyes softened and told Kelvin her news. "I originally was going to wait for the next school year, but come the end of Fall Break next week, I'll officially be back in TPA. Oswald convinced me to return early. I still have my SGA classes online at my pace. But I'll be back in school with you guys in a little over a week." Kelvin's eyes widened in shock, "You really mean it?! Your really coming back in over a week?!" Demiyah hugged her friend, "I really mean it."
That night, Demiyah laid in her bed ready to start the next phase of her life. Eager to see where her Light took her next.
