Summary: To cheer Shaun up over his failed attempt to patch things up with Dr. Lim, Lea makes this night a movie night. right before the last scene with Shaun and Lea in "Shrapnel".

"Hey, how was your day?" Lea, cuddled up in a blanket on the couch and channel surfing, queried as Shaun walked through the door late at night after his 11:00 pm ending shift.

"I moved into the storage closet," divulged Shaun as he hung up his backpack and jacket on the hall tree.

"Oh, why?"

"Dr. Park and I disagree over arrangements over lamps and Dr. Andrews can't give me my own office because of the budget, so it's better for me to work alone in the storage closet," explained Shaun indifferently as he plopped himself onto the couch next to his wife. "Park and I disagree over arrangements and the way he likes everything arranged is too distracting. He doesn't like me touching his stuff."

"You know, you can't live in the closet forever," advised Lea with a sigh. "You're going to need to move back in with Dr. Park eventually. And, of course, he wouldn't like someone rearranging his stuff without his permission."

"Hm," hummed Shaun, obviously still in denial over something, which Lea was able to hint that it wasn't about the desk lamps, but actually about Dr. Lim wanting personal distance from him.

"Shaun, I'm sure she'll come around," reassured Lea, gently rubbing his back. "Being paralyzed and needing to use a wheelchair is a big adjustment for her."

"No, she won't," denied Shaun, kicking his shoes off with his heels. "She said our relationship is medicine only from now on. She does not want to hear about what happens in my marriage."

Lea didn't want to have this back-and-forth argument, so she figured she should help him take his mind off of this by doing some quality couple time things.

"Shaun, how about we watch a movie tonight?" She suggested heartily, snuggling up closer to Shaun, wrapping her arm around his shoulders as he placed his hand over her thigh. "You know, take your mind off this whole thing."

"Hm," wondered Shaun, giving a neutral, non-verbal answer that indicated "I would love to, but I'd prefer to fixate on something else".

"Or...would you prefer reading a medical journal or just keep fixating on this by googling ways to repair a friendship."

"Yes, I would like that very much," sighed Shaun excitedly, surrendering to the idea of a movie. "I want to watch a movie instead."

"I think we should watch something we would both enjoy. You find Marvel movies boring," rejected Lea, remembering how Shaun would always leave in the middle of the movie to go either read a book or medical journal or do some crossword puzzle. "What would you like to watch? And please don't say Shrek. We already watched that movie three times this month. We need to pick a different rom-com."

"No romance movies," declined Shaun. "It's frustrating to watch two couples argue over minor misunderstandings...even when the audience knows they're obviously going to end up together anyway...even though most of them are incompatible together because they lack proper communication and it's always the girl who needs to change herself."

"Yet you enjoyed 10 Things I Hate About You," disputed Lea, resting her head on his shoulder. "Because it's the guy who needs to change and he actually does. And it's cool if you don't want to watch a romantic comedy."

"I don't," settled Shaun.

"We could hate-watch all the Twilight movies and point out everything wrong with them," proposed Lea, slightly joking. Although, she would love it if Shaun watched Breaking Dawn and reviewed Bella's supernatural pregnancy and disturbing c-section. He'd probably call the character of Carlisle a bad doctor, too.

"No, thank you," said Shaun, remembering when Lea told him that she and Jordan did that back when they almost canceled their wedding and Lea went to stay with Jordan. "I want to watch one movie tonight, not five."

"Okay, fair enough," chuckled Lea, walking her finger over his arm. "But, since it's October, I'm kind of wanting something more...spooky."

"No. No. I do not like horror movies," Shaun shook his head.

"I wasn't thinking psychological thrillers or torture porn," soothed Lea. "I meant like light-hearted comical kid movies or parody movies. I really think you should watch Zombieland."

They scrolled through Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, and Prime Video, looking for some non-horror movie Halloween-related movie they could watch.

The couple debated for a while - wondering if comical scary-ish thriller movies like Hocus Pocus, Coraline, The Corpse Bride, Monster House, ParaNorman, Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Halloweentown, The Addams Family, or Casper, were either streaming now or something they would be in the mood to watch.

"Oh look, Addams Family Values is on Netflix," pointed out Lea, remembering how that was one of the first movies they watched together when they first moved in together as roommates. "Would you like to watch that?"

"Yes, I would love to," agreed Shaun, sighing excitedly.
