Prologue: The Weasley Issue:
"Arthur, what the hell happened at work?? I received a call from Dumbledore saying Lucius cost you your job, but that he's giving you the Muggle Studies Professor position at Hogwarts. What in Merlin's Name did Lucius do???" Molly Weasley asked her husband, Arthur. "Well, where to begin… He began by calling our family "Muggle Mud-blood Lovers" due to Ron's friendship with Hermione Granger. He's been after us ever since his spawn of Norwegian Horntail Dung was not only retaliated against, but completely humiliated by Ron Harry, transfigured into a ferret by Hermione. I will not be taking Dumbledore's offer, though. I need to find my own opportunities."
"WHAT ABOUT THE HOUSE CHILDREN, THOUGH?!?!?! YOU CANNOT LET THEM GO WITHOUT JUST SO YOU CAN BE STUBBORN PRIDEFUL!!!" his wife shouted. 'Hmm, maybe if Irun away, Mum Dad won't struggle. Least then I'll be useful…' Ron Weasley thought. 'I'll do it when we leave for school, so Mum won't know…' Suddenly, Ron heard a knock on his door. "WHO IS IT?" he hollered through the door. The door immediately began to open slowly. "Ronald Bilius Weasley, how many times have I told you not to answer your door that way?" Mrs. Weasley asked her son, deceptively calm. "S-s-sorry, Mum. I forgot," Ron replied. "I came to tell you that your sister is waiting for you in the garden. She told me it's important, so, run along now, don't stay out too late."
Ron grabbed his jacket and walked out the back door of the Weasley family's home, The Burrow. "Ginny, Mum said you're out here waiting for me, so what'd ya want?" Ron asked his younger sister, Ginevra. "I heard Mum and Dad's argument, and I know my brother. I can tell you're planning something, Ron," Ginny said." What're you planning? And don't think I won't have Mum go get Luna." Ron stared stonily at his sister, contemplating whether or not to tell her. Sighing, Ron told her, "I'm running away when we go back to Hogwarts. You're not to tell Luna or Mum. Am I clear?" Ron asked. Ginny nods slowly.
"Ron, you know Luna put a listening charm on me to make sure nothing like this happens, right?" Ginny said. "She already knows..." Ron swore and said, "Bloody hell, Luna, I'm sorry!" Ginny shook her head and signaled Ron to follow. "Well, let's go pack. We have two days until we leave for the Hogwarts Express."
