3rd Person (P.O.V)
Harlow was right as the drive home was awkward as Bella remain silent in the back avoiding eye contact as she and her dad caught up a bit. Charlie had tried to interact with Bella as they pulled into town, but wasn't interested as she gave a bare minimum reply.
"Don't hex the twit". Harlow chanted in her mind as her fingers twitch to release her wand.
Harlow enjoyed the ride through town as she had lowered her window, taking in the scenery. Her face was hit with some rain as she stuck her head out a bit, the weather reminded her of her old home.
She was happy once her dad pulled on to the street where the Swan resident was located. Once they pulled into the driveway, she grabbed her bag getting out of the car. Harlow grabbed her one suitcase as her dad helped Bella with the multiple bags she stuff her whole life into.
Charlie let his girls into the house, he was a bit nervous as his oldest daughter looked around as she hadn't step foot in the house in years. He didn't know how to interact with Bella but he was willing to try even if she wasn't.
"So girls I cleared up a few shelves in the bathrooms for each of you". Charlie said leading the girls up to the second floor.
"Right one bathroom". Bella muttered before yelping as she felt a pinch on the back of her leg. She was clumsy but she managed to hold onto the banister before tripping over herself.
"Shut it you twit". Harlow hissed as Bella glared at her.
Harlow was happy her room was located on the opposite side of the house away from Bella. Her dislike for the older girl was getting stronger with every word that came out of her mouth. She spend a little time settling in before closing her door.
She released her wand from it's holster and started casting she wanted her room to have a one-way silencing spell. She wanted to hear what was going on outside of her room but no one could hear what was going on inside. She also added a mild notice me not charm not wanting to risk anyone entering her room in case she was in her trunk.
Harlow apparated into the master bedroom of Potter manor. Her magical core vibrating a sensation she got near any time she was near Cedric. She noticed a pair of glass doors on her side of the room and walked towards them. Pushing them open, she was greeted with fresh air as well as a few chirping noises.
Looking on the horizon if she hadn't known she was inside a magical trunk she would think she was in the country, all she saw was grass and trees, and some animals in the distance. Harlow knew her broomstick was among her possessions. She had the urge to fly with that thought she immediately race back inside.
Harlow's went to the double door closet on the opposite side of the room figuring all possessions would be in there as your room itself looked at completely organized. Opening the door of the walk-in closet that was well lit, she saw a few different brooms mounted on the wall including her fire bolt and Cedric's old broom.
Grabbing her fire bolt she hurried out of the closet, and hurried towards the balcony where she mounted the broom. It was only a matter of seconds before she took off into the air. She laughed out loud as she felt the wind hit her face.
Harlow flew for a bit before she stopped in mid air as her eyes widen when her eyes landed on a herd of Thestral below. Snapping out of it she continued flying seeing other magical and muggle animals even a herd of unicorn and even some bloody dragons.
"Bloody hell is death trying to kill me or Ced now that he's flammable". Harlow muttered to herself. She would have to visit the library to look up protection for her mate to protect him or lock up the dragons tighter than Fort Knox is.
Harlow continue to fly around in amazement of the small safe haven she now had in her possession. Until something caught her eyes, making her stop abruptly nearly flinging her off the broom had she not had a grip on it she would have gone careening into the ground.
Right before her eye was a small empty village. Harlow's sighed decided it was enough exploring for the day that she would be back another day to explore again. She was at a loss of what death was thinking at putting a small village a few miles away from Potter manor.
Death watched as his mistress flew away from the small village he stood in. He knew she probably had questions as to why it was there but in time he would inform her.
After dinner which was awkward thanks to Bella, Charlie was found in front of the TV with a beer in his hand.
"Hey dad can we talk?". Harlow asked nervously which got his attention immediately.
"Sure little rose what's going on?". Charlie asked as he grabbed the remote muting the game.
"Well with what I want to tell you please promise me you won't shoot anyone". Harlow said causing her dad's brow to shoot up to his hairline.
"What boy are you trying to protect from getting shot?". Charlie asked already getting an idea of what was going on.
"Edward Cullen I like him, we've been in contact, things seem to be getting serious I will introduce you guys at some point, but I want to take things slow". Harlow said not wanting to take her dad by surprise or hurt his feelings if he thought she didn't trust him.
Charlie sighed as his daughter gave him a hopeful expression. "I can't promise you I won't shoot him but I can promise to give him a chance as long as he doesn't hurt you". Charlie said refusing to make any promises.
"Guess that all I can ask for". Harlow said knew it was all she was going to get. Luckily her dad wasn't magical, when Cedric met her papa he thought it would be funny to turn her mate into a badger and turned into padfoot chasing him around.
"Hey princess interested in watching the game with your old man?". Charlie asked as he picked up the remote putting back the volume.
"I'm always interested in spending time with you dad". Harlow smiled as she took a seat next to him.
The rest of the night was spent in peace as the two of them enjoyed watching Charlie's favorite game. Bella briefly passed but wasn't interested in spending time with them as she felt completely awkward around her dad and wasn't comfortable around her sister.
That night Harlow went to bed completely giddy, as it was only a matter of hours before she was reunited with her love forever.
