Love Struck Eternal

Chapter 6 - A pass me down.

Sam's POV, Thirty minutes later.

I woke up to find myself pressed against Peek's lap. His hands gently helped me level myself back till I was able to hold myself up on my own. Almost immediately I felt as if my head was weightless. Weightless and aching. Putting my right hand on the side of my skull, I asked him softly in confusion.

"What happened?"

Giving me a small smile he replied.

"You fell asleep for a few minutes. You're okay. Nothings broken."

"You could have fooled me." I joked back as I chuckled and tried to recall my time before this moment. Rubbing my back gently with his right hand my uncle urged me.

"Take your time. We aren't going anywhere just yet."

"I feel like shit. What really happened? I just remember us arguing and then….well….I don't really know after that."

Nodding his head Peek informed me.

"It wasn't an argument. I was trying to see where you were at emotionally. I pushed you a little too far a little too fast. I should have taken more time, but what I was trying to tell you was all honest. Your life is important. You aren't obligated to follow your father's footsteps. Nor your mother's. You know?"

Nodding my head back I replied.

"Yeah….I know."

Keeping his tone of voice very centered and calm, Peek went on to state.

"I wanna help you find that thing that makes you happy. I wanna find it and I want to help you pursue it. Just be honest with me back and give me something to work with that doesn't involve the army. What do you really get pleasure out of doing Sam?"

My head was bumping internally so it took me a bit longer then I wanted to come up with an answer. But once I had it I replied to the bird.

"I really like to invent things. I love science and I love all aspects of each and every category of the field. I'm really good with my hands and I'd like to work more at it. Maybe put my effort into finding new ways to enhance technology."

"How so?" He wondered as I quickly replied while looking at Mocha who was staring at me from his other side.

"I like the idea of doing some of the things my mom did when she was in the army."

"That's a number of things then Sam and if I remember right your mother designed a lot of military hardware. Things that were used to kill people."

"And save people." I interjected as he nodded his head while looking away from me and towards one of the nearby walls. I could feel it just by his reaction that he was thinking about what I just told him. I don't know if it was in a good way or not, but he took his time.

"You asked me for honesty. That's honesty." I informed him which got his eyes to travel back to mine. For a few moments we stared at one another. Up until he decided to ask me.

"Do you think you'd be able to handle the pain that comes with making something that can take a life? Like a new type of weapon, or even a bomb? It's no secret the military puts a lot of money into the defense of its borders and that isn't G.U.N exclusive. Ever since the war ended over here; even the M.E.A.F have been busy trying to find new ways to get an upper hand over our enemies. Enemies that currently don't exist. Your father has been killing since he was your age. Even younger. You're mother was about your age when she took her first life back in Russia."

"I know." I replied as he went on to inform me.

"Anyone can invent anything. Not everyone can handle the weight that comes with it's inevitable use. You might not be pulling the trigger Sam, but your work would be the reason a potential life was taken. Your hands would be covered in their blood and there is no washing that off."

I didn't know what else to say to him. Saying I know or that I understood wouldn't help ease over his thoughts or my own. I did understand where he was coming from, but I think deep down I could handle the pressure. I'd have to if I wanted to follow my dreams.

With about a minute passing, Peek changed the subject by asking me.

"How's your head?"

"Better." I replied as he nodded and then asked me.

"Can you walk? We should get you something to eat."

"What happened to me?" I had to ask him. Slowly standing up he replied calmly back while avoiding the answer.

"Let's go get some lunch. We can discuss it then. Till then though Sam? Let's just keep this to ourselves. I'll do my best to explain it to you later. For now just trust me and…...and I'm sorry for what I said earlier. You're not stupid. That much is clear to me now."

"I know I'm not, you asshole."

The bird finally gave me another smile and this time followed it up with a strong laugh. After which he offered me his hand and I got back on my own two feet with Mocha hugging me closely. With my head still a little out of it, he helped me out of the alley we were in and together we searched around for another place to eat. We settled on a small dinner tucked along one of the main roads that looked like a sushi bar. However it turned out to be Chinese which was in truth one of my preferred types of food to binge on from time to time. Once we were seated back down and had placed orders, did I ask the question again.

"So what happened?"

Waiting on our food, my uncle took a moment to answer. I thought he was ignoring me until his attention shifted back on me to wonder.

"Start by telling me what you see. What's different about me?"

Widening my eyes in confusion, I questioned to myself what he was asking of me. He looked the exact same as he did all the other times I looked at him. For a strong minute I looked over every aspect of his form and he just calmly stared back at me patiently waiting as I struggled to come up with a logical answer. With my voice lost I replied.

"Ummmm….I don't know. Nothing?"

With our eyes locked my uncle took a small breath and asked me again.

"How about now?"

Instantly his eyes turned red. My heart nearly jumped out of my chest as he just waited for my answer. Without even trying; they went back to normal no longer then a second after and I questioned in disbelief.

"What was that? What did you just do?"

Picking up his nearby fork with his right hand, he replied while shifting it between his index and his middle finger.

"Let's call it a gift for now. You know I used to be a mercenary. I told you who I used to work for, Shader Industries. Now even till this very day the company itself is solely focused on the advancement of military hardware and civilian grade technology. They have a very sizable market and enough money to hire and train some of the best guns for hire on the planet. They can afford the best gear, the best weapons, the best people. But they can also afford to fool around with a lot of experimentation and combat ready enhancers. One of the most common and very well known is called viper venom Sam. Almost every country has access to it in some form. G.U.N has been using it to enhance it's special forces candidates since day one. The drug however is very dangerous if given to the wrong person. It can kill if your body isn't able to adapt to it on a genetic level. However if your body can; you can use it to enhance your strength, speed, and wit in combat and stressful situations where your life may be on the line. For example…..?"

My eyes were locked on his as they went back to being a dark shade of red. However his focus went to the fork and so did mine. Just using those two fingers he seamlessly bent the fork in half. Then a second later the metal it was made of snapped and the fork fell down between us. I was shocked and laser focused on the deed. His voice however went on to say to me.

"There are three levels to the drug. Level one is the host's body can adapt to it and use the drug to enhance themselves, but for a limited time. They have to activate it using ether stimulants like needles or pills. Afterwards it's safe to assume that person will be wiped out of all their prior energy. But once recovered they can do it again by taking another dose. Those people are called users."

My uncle was still red in the eyes and very calmly did he collect the two halves of the fork and put them away under a few napkins. Once safely hidden, he went on with his explanation.

"Level two is a more advanced stage of level one. Except the drug was much more compatible to the host. This means that when they were first exposed to the drug it was able to physically mold into the user's DNA. This then becomes a part of their body and their everyday life. The user can simply call upon the boost in power at any given point they deem necessary. Now these people are sometimes lumped in with level three users. Sometimes called perfect, but that's not always the case. A lot of people who are on the second level with the drug have issues actually controlling the power once they call upon it. They can lose their way and outright go feral. Hint at why I call these people flawed or just feral users. It can be dangerous if not monitored and almost all of these users have to reup on the drug after a few weeks or months apart from it; otherwise they will have some side effects like a headache for instance."

It was at this moment that our food came to us. My uncle silenced himself and waited till the waiter was gone to continue. I wasn't even concerned with eating because this was honestly mind boggling to me. I was so intrigued it took all thought of food away from me.

"Level three are what we call the actual perfect users. These people can use the power whenever and have zero side effects to extended periods without the drug in their system. These users are also the most effective in its use. Some of the best fighters and some of the most dangerous people in the world. That's why almost everyone in this field is working either for PMCs or the military. The perfect field to be in for a drug fiend."

I was trying to put the pieces together as he spoke and at the end of his sentence I had to ask him to be sure.

"Are you considered a perfect user then uncle?"

Nodding his head, he replied while reaching backwards to steal a fork off the table behind him.

"I was given the drug when I first joined G.U.N well over twenty years now. I was perfect since the moment it entered my blood. I got a secondary version of it when I joined Shader Industries and offered to be the test bed for their science division."

"A secondary version?" I questioned as he nodded and replied.

"In layman's terms, the dose they gave me was just a stronger play off the first. It was a bitch to take when I first was given it. My body almost rejected it."

"What's the difference then?" I asked him as he played with his food for a few seconds till he found a good bite he wanted to pick up with the new fork. Once he had it in his mouth he replied back.

"I'm just a tad stronger then other perfect users. More power, more speed, more wit. But if you ask my wife she'll decline that third one gracefully."

I managed to somehow chuckle as he put his fork down to go for the nearby steak knife that was alongside his plate. Once it was in his hand he looked back at me with those red eyes to urge me.

"Don't laugh too soon Sam."

Losing my happy face, I watched as he brought the knife up to meet his thumb. In utter confusion, I gasped in my seat as he slit it open with the knife. Blood dripped onto his plate as I questioned while watching my tone of voice so not to draw attention.

"What the fuck are you doing?"

"Watch." He whispered back as I struggled to stare at his wound.

Without any first aid nearby, I watched as the skin sealed itself back together in under two or three seconds. My voice was stripped from me as he reached for a nearby napkin and cleaned off what remained of the blood; to show to me a perfectly untouched finger. He then took another bite of his food and sensed I wasn't capable of saying a word back. So once he was done chewing he said to me.

"The venom gives every user the ability to heal wounds they may have received during combat or from any other source. It's easier based on the sole size and damage, but it's also easier if the user is more experienced or perfect. Basic users struggle to stay on their feet after using the power like that."

"That's not real. That's physically unbelievable and almost entirely scary." I told him as he nodded and replied back.

"So a lot of people think. But Sam? That isn't the case. At least not for us."

"Us?" I questioned as he nodded again and told me softly after.

"What happened to you earlier is entirely real. I had no idea till I pissed you off that it was a thing, but there is venom in your blood. I don't know how, but you lost control once it kicked in. You attacked me with more than enough power then a girl your age should have with no military training to their name. Only reason you stopped was because I had to control you and thanks to it being your first time, your body quickly shut down from the strain."

I couldn't move or think. Peek just calmly stared back at me as I somehow managed to ask him.

"I'm a user?"

"You're either a level two or three user actually. That has yet to be determined, but I know for a fact you don't have access to the drug and from experience I know it's more likely to happen if the host is unsuitably angry."

"But…...but this doesn't make sense."

"Only thing I can think of Sam is you got it from your parents."

Widening my eyes again I asked him.

"They're both users too?"

Nodding Peek replied.

"Your mother, your father, your aunt Pepper and her boyfriend Cody are all users. Your mother was a feral user until recently. She got her first dose when she was working with the Russian special forces early into her adult years. Your father is a perfect user and has been a user since he was about twenty five. Your aunt Pepper has always been a perfect user and much like your mother she got her dose in the military as well. Cody? Well he's my best friend and he was also working for Shader Industries with me for a time. He's been perfect since his first dose as well."

This was all new to me and to be honest it was overwhelming. Looking at my uncle's finger that was once cut, I asked him quietly.

"How rare is it to be perfect?"

Giving me a careful look back he replied.

"A regular user has about a thirty percent chance of not dying when given their first dose. A feral or flawed user is around; I believe eight percent or so. A perfect user like your father? Well under two."

"What?" I questioned in shock as he just simply nodded his head. After about another minute I asked him.

"What does this all mean for me? Am I in trouble? Will this hurt me at some point? What do I do?"

Reaching across to take my hand he replied.

"Nothing. You're perfectly safe from what I can tell. As long as you keep calm you'll be fine. Now I gave you one of my supplements earlier back after our first fight. Your body will take a little time to recover, but everything should be in check. Just get some food in you to combat the headache."

"I can't eat." I told him back bluntly as he released my hand.

Looking him dead in the eyes I questioned.

"How come my parents never told me about this?"

"Probably because they don't know. It's not like this is a very common occurrence. I don't even know how it's possible. Only thing I can think of is that it was passed down to you upon birth since both of them are users as well and it's in their genetic code. But I'm no scientist."

"What do I do then?"

Putting down his fork he replied.

"For now you just relax and work with me. I'm gonna talk to your dad about it when we get back and see what he wants to do. But if I were you I'd just keep calm. Clearly leaving that element behind triggers your venom and I can't afford to have something happen to you if it goes out of control again so soon."

"Can't I do something? How do you control it so easily?"

"Years of practice. It's all mental Sam."

"Show me." I ordered him as he bluntly said back.

"No."

"Why not?" I questioned as he went on to tell me.

"Because right now it's not important. What is important is that you learn some basic things before you go….?"

"It's not important!?" I shouted out loud which got the whole building's attention. My uncle widened his eyes and leaned back in his seat as I stood up to growl at him. Mocha made her way out from under the table as she heard my growl.

"This shit can fucking kill me and that's not important enough to you!?"

For a moment I felt my head get warm and from there I saw the look in Peek's eyes change. Yet my anger was spiking so I continued to yell at him.

"I can fucking die! I can fucking die Peek and you don't think teaching me how to control….how to control…..?"

It took a few seconds but when I tried to put that sentence together I felt another pulse hit the back of my head. This time it felt like someone hit me with a small mallet. It cut my voice off. My uncle was slow to move as I tried to go on with my yelling.

"You're supposed to help….you're supposed to help me Peek…...why won't you…..can't you…..?"

"Sam?" His voice was fading to my ears and without another word I tried to get out of the booth we were in. By then a waitress was with us and she stood nearly three feet behind me.

"Braf! Braf!"

"Don't move Sam!" My uncle yelled at me as I felt my right foot stop in between the support where the table was anchored into the floor. With my eyes trying to look around the room, I started to get dizzy. Then I looked back at my uncle who was at this moment trying to get out from his side of the booth. Putting my hand out to him, I stated with a loss of energy.

"I…...I don't…...I don't know what's going….?" In confusion I felt something leave my mouth and upon reaching up I looked to see blood on my hand. My uncle was now in a panic reaching for a few napkins that were under my plate. When he went to refocus back on me; I panicked and tried to turn away, but my foot that was in between the support beams of the table got caught and I wound up tripping.

"Sam!" I heard him scream as I lost my legs and came crashing down onto the edge of another nearby table that was across from ours. I felt my head smack off the wood before the rest of me came falling to the ground. All sound was gone in a matter of seconds shortly after. All I could do was stare up as my uncle came down right on top of me to yell something. I couldn't hear anything. When I turned my head to the side all I could see was blood under me. Mocha was barking into my face the whole time I saw stars.

After a few seconds, I looked up at my uncle who was yelling at the waitress, then he looked back at me with a scared look plastered across his face. His hands came down till they were pressed around both sides of my head. I felt a slight sting on the left side of my skull, but my eyes could only stare at the bird as he took his left hand away from me and into one of his pockets. Pulling out his cellphone, he quickly put it to his ear and with that I struggled to stay awake. It felt like my heart was stopping.

Raptor's POV.

"Hehehehe…..shut up." I ordered Zeta as we were discussing a future visit to Afghanistan where Cody and Pepper were living.

With the wolf and I stationed at the kitchen table, I lost my focus when I heard my phone start to go off in my pocket. Upon pulling it out, I saw it was Peek's number. By this point Zeta had gone to the fridge and I had answered asking.

"Hey Peek. What's up? How's…..?!" The bird cut me off by shouting in a clear panic.

"Raptor! I need you right now! Sam is hurt and I….?!" Now I cut him off by asking in complete fear.

"What's happened?!"

Zeta instantly picked up on my voice and looked back at me to question.

"Raptor? What's wrong?"

"She hit her head! She's bleeding and….? Sam!? Sam, keep looking at me! Keep your eyes open! I'm on the phone with your father!"

"Peek!" I shouted at him as he came back to beg me.

"We're right down the road at Westley's!"

"I'm on my way!" I replied as I hung up the phone and left it on the table for Zeta to see. The wolf knew something was wrong and yelled at me as I went under the sink for a first aid kit I had stowed away for emergencies.

"What the fuck happened!? Raptor, talk to me!"

Once I had the medical kit in hand, I got up off the floor to reply.

"Sam's hurt! I need to go!"

Now in full mom mode, she asked me before I phased off.

"What!? Where!?"

"Westley's!"

Like a snap of my fingers I found myself outside the restaurant in record time. Without even thinking about it; I busted through the front door to find my daughter down on the ground in the middle of the restaurant with a pool of blood under her head. Peek was right on top of her as I barked out at the bystanders who were doing nothing but watching her die.

"Move! Get out of my way!"

Peek snapped his head back in relief as he heard my voice and getting right down alongside him, I asked him while putting my hands to work.

"What happened?"

Peek was unsure of how to respond but at the least told me back with some confidence.

"She tripped as she tried to leave the booth. Her foot got caught and she came down into that table there. I put pressure on the wound but she's fading."

Using my left hand, I held Sam's head straight up so her eyes were facing me. My right hand covered the gash he mentioned and using all my effort I urged my daughter who I saw still slightly awake.

"Look at me baby. I'm here. Can you hear me? Sam? Sam, can you hear me?"

She wasn't responding to me, but I knew I saved her life in a matter of seconds after. The wound was shut and with it I ordered Peek who took the first aid kit off the ground next to us.

"Cover the wound. Wrap it tight. Zeta should be on her way with the car. We're gonna get her back to the house."

"Yeah, I gotcha." He replied as he broke out a small number of napkins. As he went to work, I kept Sam's head leveled and watched as her eyes shut one last time. I knew she passed out at that very moment and in record timing of her own; Zeta came flying through the front door screaming my name.

"Raptor!? Peek!?"

"Over here!" I shouted back at her as the crowd made space for her to travel through. The second she reached us she broke out into tears screaming at Peek.

"Oh my god! What the fuck happened!? What did you do!?"

Looking back at her, Peek replied.

"Nothing! She tripped while leaving the booth!"

"Zeta!" I growled back at her as she got down next to me to whimper in tears.

"Is she okay?"

Nodding my head I replied.

"She's fine. I got here in time. We're gonna wrap up her head and get her to the car. Okay?"

"Raptor, I can't lose her." She informed me as I tried to calmly tell her back without getting overwhelmed.

"I can't either. Get the car ready. I want her in the backseat with you. I'll drive us back to the house. Peek, you get shotgun."

The bird nodded his head as he finished up with the bandage. As he finished, I looked to my own hands to see the blood on them. For a moment I lost all train of thought. Once I had recovered; I saw some blood leaving Sam's mouth. Thankfully Zeta was already gone and back outside with the car as I asked Peek.

"What really happened?"

His reaction gave it all away as we stared at one another for a moment. He knew I knew and replied carefully while standing up.

"I'll explain everything back at the house."

I just glared at him as he then urged me.

"Take one side and I'll get the other. On three."

Together and with some effort we got my daughter safely loaded into the back of our car with her mother who was instantly cuddling her like she should. She hugged her entire head as I got us back home. From there the three of us got Sam up to her room and down in her bed after washing what blood she had left in her hair out. Zeta struggled to do anything other than cry as I looked at Peek to urge him softly and with some stress to my voice.

"Let's go downstairs and talk."

He just nodded his head as we took the slow trot down to the living room. I led us to the kitchen where I grabbed my phone from off the counter and put away the medical kit back under the sink where it belonged. Peek stood behind one of the dining room chairs with his head down as I took a breath and asked again.

"What happened? She hit her fucking head; I get that. But there was blood leaving her mouth. That shit is internal and I don't want you bullshitting me about anything from this point going forward. You do know that's my fucking daughter right?"

"I do." He replied sadly as I let out a sigh then urged him as calmly as I could.

"So what happened?"

Looking back up at me after a few seconds, he replied.

"We went out for breakfast. Just to talk to one another. Just to get some insight on who she was and who I was. She's deadly smart and I picked that up within minutes of us talking. But she has flaws and that comes with her temper. I'm sure you know that."

I just nodded as he went on to say.

"After breakfast she introduced me to her best friend Teddy. Nice kid. I let them be for a few minutes and she and him got into a bit of an argument about life and their future. Sam wasn't all too specific. She's stressed about her future and she's aimed to please both you and Zeta, not herself like you both want. Now I admit I pushed her a little bit…...just to see how she would handle someone giving her a dose of hard truth. She didn't take it well man."

"She's barely able to handle her mother getting in her face, Peek. What did you expect?"

"Regardless Raptor, that's not important right now."

Approaching the bird with open arms to his chest, I urged him.

"Then what's the important part?"

With his eyes going slightly down to match my mouth, he leaned in to mumble.

"She's a user."

Almost instantly my mouth went agape and Peek's eyes slowly came back to meet mine to nod his head. Everything that tried to enter my head never made it. I was utterly confused and had to question in disbelief.

"Excuse me?"

"I didn't know till after I pushed her buttons. Eyes went red like blood, her coat was darker and she swung on me with enough power in her arm to knock my head off. Thankfully I managed to calm her back down, but her body couldn't handle the aftermath of her first use. I had to get her to safety and administer one of my supplements to numb the side effects. When she woke she barely recalled what happened. We then went to Westley's to get some more food in her and it was then I explained to her what happened. I told her about the venom, users and the levels of users, and she now knows we're all users."

I took a step back as he finished his explanation.

"She asked me to teach her how to control it, but I refused and she lost her shit again. The venom did more bad then good and that's when she went down and cracked her head open."

I heard every word he said to me but still questioned.

"She's a user?"

Peek nodded again as I asked myself out loud.

"How?"

"I think it's genetic. You and Zeta probably passed it down to her. I just hit the right amount of pressure to force it out of her system."

"And you didn't think to call me after it happened the first time?" I questioned him in some anger as he quickly defended his actions.

"I didn't want to start my first day off as her teacher by getting you involved. I planned to come back though and talk to you about it…...but…..well clearly that was a mistake."

Completely stumped, I went on to inform him.

"You're a fucking idoit. I should kick your fucking ass."

"I'm sorry Raptor." He whimpered back as I let out a long sigh. Sitting down at the table to think this all over, I listened as he informed me.

"I did call Cody though to ask for advice on what to do. So it's safe to assume he's gonna tell Pepper."

"Great. So I can expect a call or knowing her sister; Pepper might be on her way." I admitted as he just went silent till he had to wonder.

"What are we gonna do about this?"

Smacking my arms to the table, I calmly replied.

"I don't know. This messes everything up."

"I can try to show her how to control it. Her issue is gonna be her temper. If she can master that, she'll have a good chance at getting it down fast."

It was at that moment that Zeta came flying into the kitchen to see us both sulking. With tears still in her eyes, she asked the question to both of us.

"What's going on with my daughter?"

Peek went to say something but cut himself off to look over at me to see if I even wanted him to answer that. I just simply sat back and looked Zeta in the eyes to reply.

"Sam's a user."

The mother wolf instantly widened her eyes to give me back a look of utter disbelief. Close to the same one I gave Peek a second ago. However she quickly followed it up with a quick smile and a laugh to question.

"Sam? My daughter is….?" Her eyes flicked over to Peek to ask.

"How? How is that possible?"

She didn't even let him answer before asking me in anger.

"Did you give her a dose?"

I wasn't ready for that kind of question and this time I smacked both my arms again on the table to kick myself out of my own chair to question the wolf standing before me with the balls of a bull.

"Excuse me?! Don't even fucking ask me such a stupid question! You know damn well I would never do that to her! Are you fucking serious!?"

Zeta snapped back to scream at me.

"How else can she be a fucking user if you didn't give her venom at some point?! You're the only one who has access to it ever since I quit! It's all locked up in that fucking safe you have in the basement!"

"I would never spike my only child! I worked my ass off to keep her safe her whole life! Why the fuck would I do something like that!? You know that shit could kill her! Don't be a fucking ignorant bitch and assume I would put her at risk like that! And for what?! What the fuck do I gain from it!?"

Zeta got right in my face to growl back.

"I don't know what you'd gain from it you fucking asshole! All I know is my baby almost died and you're gonna tell me it's because of viper venom?!"

"It is! Ask him!" I ordered her as she smacked me across the face. At which point I growled back at her and Peek took the opportunity to jet in between us with all the force his body could provide. With his back to Zeta, he put both his hands on my shoulders and moved me back while ordering the both of us.

"Stop! Stop this shit! The both of you! Calm the fuck down!"

"Fuck you Raptor!" Zeta shouted over his shoulder as I ordered her with a snap of my right arm trying to grab her.

"Get the fuck out of my kitchen!"

Zeta went to hit me again, but Peek thankfully caught her off guard by turning on his venom and turning just in time to stop her. Now taking her away a few feet, he begged her.

"Stop! Leave him alone!"

Zeta got taken all the way back to the entrance of the kitchen and once she was there Peek looked back at me to say.

"Let me talk to her! You just chill out till we're done! Zeta!"

The wolf was giving me a stone cold glare as Peek took his chance and took Zeta away and into the living room. I was so fucking pissed right now I couldn't believe she would even consider this being my fault. Shit wouldn't have gotten out of hand if she wasn't so quick to jump on the nearest person she thought was the cause of trouble.

With my anger spinning out of control, I ran myself to the basement. However I had to enter the living room where Peek had just gotten back to Zeta. As I opened the door going down there, I looked back at Zeta to tell her bluntly.

"If anyone is at fault for this it's you! You and your fucking temper!"

"Raptor!" Peek shouted as I turned and went downstairs after slamming the door.

As I reached the bottom, I growled to myself.

"Fucking unbelievable."
