3rd Person (P.O.V)
Edward was content allowing his beautiful mate to pull him by the hand through the school. He ignored the looks and whispers lost in his thoughts he was still a little confused as he had two different sets of memories falling into place.
He remembers more of his life as Cedric Diggory then Edward Masen he has vague memories of his second life but he could remember times he felt empty like something was missing, and once he saw Harlow that feeling instantly went away.
"Love how were my parents?". Edward blurred out in a whisper.
Harlow stopped in her tracks thinking of the last time she had seen her in-laws. Amos and Annabelle Diggory left Britain shortly after Cedric's funeral as her mother-in-law couldn't bear to stay.
"They weren't the same after it happened". Harlow whispered pain in her voice. "They left for America, we stayed in contact the following years until the summer before my seventh year when things got bad, I didn't want to put them in any danger in the war with riddle, I was undesirable number one and had a bounty on my head". Harlow said sadly as Edward pulled her into his arms.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there when you needed me". Edward said as she turned to look at him.
"When times were hard I gather my courage from the love and memories we shared you were always at my side Ced". Harlow whisper, Edward started to caress her cheek with his cool hand.
"We'll make even more memories now love". Edward said pressing a kiss to her forhead.
The couples smiled at each other before making the rest of the journey towards the main office to get Harlow's timetable. With a Confundus charm she insured her schedule matched Edward's and Bella isn't in any of their classes.
"How should I address you now??". Harlow asked making Edward look at her confused. "What do you want me to call you?". She clarified her question.
"I go by Edward now I don't really mind if you refer to me as Cedric but maybe it's best. If we go with the name I'm used to as it won't bring many questions with other people unless we're alone". Edward said shrugging his mate could call him what she wanted.
"Alright Edward". Harlow said testing out the name which felt a bit foreign but she could get used to it.
Edward was nervous as some of his siblings gave him looks as they passed, either in the hall, or in some of the classes they shared. He didn't really know how he was going to explain many of their questions they had. He honestly figured he would follow Harlow in what she said.
"Who are they?". Bella Swan asked as Edward could hear from outside the cafeteria.
"The Cullens". Angela Webber said playing with her glasses.
"They're Dr. and Mrs. Cullen foster kids they moved down here from Alaska a few years ago". Jessica Stanley said in a gossip mode.
"They kind of keep to themselves". Angela said smiling.
"Yeah because their all together like together together. The blonde girl that's Rosalie and the big dark-haired guy Emmett. There like a thing I'm not even sure if that's legal". Jessica said wrinkling her nose.
"Jess they aren't actually related". Angela said sighing.
"Yeah but they actually live together it's weird". Jessica said before leaning over to Bella. " The little dark-haired girl is Alice she's really weird. She's with Jasper who always looks like he's in pain". Jessica said as Alice twirled under Jasper's arm.
"Dr. Cullen Is like this foster dad/matchmaker". Jessica said to Bella.
"Maybe he'll adopt me". Angela said cheerful.
"Who's he?". Bella asked as Edward entered with her sister.
"That's Edward Cullen he's totally gorgeous apparently no one around here was good enough or he had a long distance relationship with your sister". Jessica said glaring at Harlow's as Edward had his arm slung around her shoulder. He kissed the side of her head smiling.
Edward ignored anymore of the conversation as Harlow and he arrived at the table he and his siblings claimed two years prior.
"Love are there any cameras in here?". Harlow whispered releasing her wand from it's holster.
"There are a few cameras throughout the cafeteria fortunately our table it's in a secluded area and away from other tables". Edward said since that's the main reason his family picked the table since they couldn't eat and it wouldn't be caught on camera.
"Good to know". Harlow said relieved as they reach the Cullen table. She discreetly waved her wand putting a notice me not charm up.
"You still have your magic?". Edward asked noticing the wand, apart of him mourning the loss of his own magic.
He knows Harlow brought some things from their old world, but he honestly didn't think she still had her magic. He know they had a lot to talk about as now that he had her back and he was immortal he didn't think he would be able to be without her.
"Yea I do but I'll explain later. Your family looks like they're about to explode with curiosity". Harlow said as all their eyes were on her.
Edward sighed as his siblings were yelling at different questions into his mind. Had he been still human he would have gotten a headache by now. "Love these are my adopted siblings Rosalie and she's with Emmett and Alice and she's with Jasper. Guys this is my beautiful mate Harlow Potter but now she goes by Swan". Edward said introducing everyone as he pulled out a seat for Harlow before sitting next to her.
"Why didn't you tell us you found your mate?". Rosalie asked suspiciously as no one in her family suspected anything as Edward's behavior was still the same it hadn't changed until today.
Edward open to say something but closed his mouth as he didn't know how to answer that question. "Because his memories were blocked he only remembered when our eyes met today". Harlow jumped in as she could see her mate struggling to answer.
"What are you?". Alice asked curiously as she hadn't seen the girl coming and did something that was impossible for a vampire.
"I'm a witch". Harlow said grinning as she took out her wand. The Cullen's looked around, making sure no one heard, or saw anything. "Don't worry I put a charm up, no one knows that we're even here sitting down even when they saw us enter the cafeteria, the spell makes them ignore our presence". Harlow said her grin turning into a smirk as the vampires looked at her with widen eyes.
"Are there others like you?". Emmett asked excitedly as he wondered what else could be out there.
Harlow smiled sadly as she shook her head. "No I'm the only one of my kind, but Edward used to be a wizard". Harlow said as the colors looked at Edward in shock. She is telling them the truth because they would one day be her family but she would ensure they would be unable to tell anyone else.
"I'm not a wizard anymore I haven't since the day I died". Edward said as he could hear his siblings thoughts.
"Actually you can". Harlow said she had wanted to do it in private, but she couldn't ignore the heartbroken expression on her mate's face. "Our friend said you would be a Hybrid, vampire and wizard". Harlow said smiling as she took out Edward's wand and vial containing his magical core setting it in front of him
Edward was in shock, had he been human his hands would've been shaking as he slowly reached out for his wand. When he touched it he was saddened that it didn't emulate sparks life they once had. His wand was 12" long, made from ash, and contained a unicorn hair core.
"I could do magic again?". Edward asked hopeful.
"Yea love you can, all you have to do is swallow what's in the vile which happens to be your magical core it was given to me. I was told it would take a few hours for it to settle". Harlow said as she lightly push the vile in Edward's direction.
Edward didn't hesitate as he took the open vile and brought it to his lips swallowing his magical core. It was a strange sensation as some color return to his pale skin. His siblings watched as his eyes turned from the usual gold color to a bright gray color but his hair stayed the same bronze color.
The other anomaly was his heartbeat restarting only it was slower than a normal human. Edward's eyes widen as his hand rows up to his chest feeling his slow heartbeat.
"Well he didn't say all that was going to happen". Harlow said in shock as her eyes widen.
"Is there anyway for us to also get magic?". Emmett asked excitedly but soon deflated as Harlow slowly shook her head.
"I'm sorry but no the only reason Edward has magic is because he had it once before and a friend of mine was able to recover his magical core to give it to me but with me and Edward having magic, there are possibilities for us to help your family blended in more". Harlow explained smiling.
"Are you able to turn a vampire human?". Rosalie asked curiously.
"Unfortunately, no magic does have it's limits but it does also present a lot of opportunities with the right research". Harlow said digging into her bottomless bag, taking out the tupperware with the blood pops again.
She set the blood pop on the table and pushed it to the middle so everyone could grab one or more as it was filled to the brim. Emmett and Alice were both happily to grab a few more Alice as she put some into her pocket.
"Harlow can I ask you something?". Alice asked as she saw Harlow soothing her brother who was still in shock.
"What's up?". Harlow question, moving her eyes from Edward who is slightly shaken now to Alice.
"I've been wondering if there was any way I would be able to purchase more of these blood pops off of you if possible". Alice said looking over at Jasper who is stiff as a board.
"You don't have to pay me Alice a few friends of mine would be happy to make them as they did for Edward". Harlow said smiling as Alice looked relief. "I've been wondering why do you torture yourself by going to school if you have to be around humans". Harlow asked as that question has been bothering her all day.
"It's easy for us to blend in since we're not like the others of our kind. We survive off the blood of animals. Plus the younger we start out in a town the longer we get to stay before we have to move again". Rosalie explained as Harlow nodded in understanding.
"Do you have trouble around humans?". Harlow asked Jasper who nodded his head stiffly. "Can I try something?". She asked with a thoughtful expression on her face and wand in hand.
"What are you going to do?". Alice asked curiously.
"She might be able to help with dulling his senses when it comes to humans". Edward said finally coming out of his shock and seeing the direction his mate wanted to go in.
"Could you?". Alice asked hopeful as it hurt her to see her mate struggle on a daily basis.
"I could if Jasper is comfortable enough with me directing my wand at him". Harlow said looking at the blonde vampire for confirmation getting a slow head nod. She's slowly waved her wand around Jasper. "How does that feel?". Harlow asked as she lowered her wand.
Jasper slowly breathe in his shoulders relaxing as the smell of humans no longer bother his senses. "I barely smell it". Jasper said as Alice bounced in excitement. Harlow had a slight smile as her antics reminded her of her little sister Luna.
"Would you be willing to do the same for us". Rosalie asked curiously as she had never seen Jasper so relax. The smell of blood didn't bother her, but other smells dead as it came with the territory of being vampires.
"Sure I don't see why not Edward can you do the same once his core is settled". Harlow said shrugged her shoulders before waving her wand at the other vampires.
They took in the smells around them and were quite happy with the results of their senses being dulled. It was a struggle for their family to be around humans but they missed that aspect of their life and their coven isn't like the rest of their kind.
It was more of a struggle for Jasper not only because he was newer to their diet but because he was constantly feeling their hunger and emotions that always put him on edge. The four siblings looked at the magical couple in amazement and wonder what else was possible.
Little did they know this was just the beginning as Edward and Harlow could give them things they miss from their human lives and because of who she was Harlow would do some incredible things for the family.
