3rd Person (P.O.V)

Edward opened his eyes blinking rapidly in confusion as the sun beamed into the room. He laid on the bed and confusion, as when he closed his eyes for what he thought was a brief moment it had been dark outside.

"How did you sleep?". Harlow asked her voice startling him.

"I was asleep?". Edward asked stun as it's been almost a century since his turning. The last time he slept he had been in excruciating agony during his transition.

"Yup, I woke up in your arms. You had a peaceful expression on your face". Harlow said as she caressed his cheek.

"Looks like I'll be having to get an actual bed back at the house". Edward said before quickly getting up out of the bed as he felt an odd sensation in his body.

"Are you alright?". Harlow asked worriedly. Her eyes widen as he had a loss expression on his face, fidgeting in place."Love the bathroom is over there". Harlow said already knowing what was going on. Edward's eyes widen he immediately speeded towards the bathroom door closing behind him.

Harlow sat on the bed giggling as death didn't tell her what would happen with Edward becoming a hybrid. The night prior during dinner Poppi the chef elf managed to make Edwards's dinner with some dragons blood. It tasted like normal food to him and stated his appetite.

After dinner, they went into the potter library to do some research on vampires. Apparently magical creatures blood infused with food could sustain them longer. They wouldn't have to constantly feed on normal animals. Dragon's blood was one of the strongest blood Harlow had in her possession, with a normal meal infused with blood it would sustain them for a number of days as where the blood pop could help them for a number of hours.

Theoretically they could eat one meal a day and always feel full, but if they try to eat like humans with multiple meals a day it would make them sick. If not eating one meal, they could eat different types of snacks throughout the day and still be full. Harlow got a headache after some of the explanations, she chose to call it a night on research.

She was broke out of her thoughts when Edward walked out of the bathroom looking stunned. "So I have the functions of a normal human". Edward said grimacing as he didn't know how to feel about this aspect.

"Looks like it love, we might have to start documenting what we discovered with you being a Hybrid". Harlow said with a thoughtful expression.

"Pulling out your inner Hermione there love". Edward said as Harlow smiled slightly a twinge of pain in her heart.

"Yea, I may not be Hermione smart but I did pick up a thing or two from her when it comes to research". Harlow said getting out of the bed.

It was time for yet another day of school and Edward had to head back home to get his car so he would be able to pick Harlow up in time for school.

Edward staggered as he apparated home. He could have easily ran home but wanted to see if he was able to use apparition again. The Cullen household raced outside with the sudden noise that had appeared in their driveway, they were surprised to see Edward bend over his knees.

"What the hell happened Edward?". Rosalie asked as her brother looked like he was going to be sick and her family was stunned.

"Magical travel isn't always the best on the first try". Edward said grimacing as his stomach settled a bit.

"Magical travel?". Emmett asked eagerly.

"The one I use is called apparition. There are a few others but I'm not sure if I can use them". Edward said making Emmett deflate.

"Why didn't you just run like you usually do?". Rosalie asked brow raised.

"Apparition is faster it's just teleportation. Unfortunately it comes with a bit of a side effect the first few times". Edward said shrugging his shoulders.

Edward decided since they still had over an hour before they had to leave for school it was a good opportunity for his family to try the breakfast Daisy prepared for them. It wasn't anything big but it was simple so they could slowly get used to being able to eat foods again now that it was infused with blood.

He gesture for everyone to follow him inside, leading them to the kitchen which made them confused. Alice was going to interrupt the silence only for her eyes to widen as Edward's arm was inside a bag. The family hadn't noticed his old satchel on his person. Everyone was mesmerized as his arm just disappeared.

"What happened to your arm?". Alice asked curiously as she got closer to her brother.

"It's still attached to me. This is a bottomless bag it's been enchanted to put anything you want inside. It has a feather light charm on it, so the weight never changes. It would feel like your not carrying anything on you". Edward said as he took out a few containers from the satchel.

"What's all of this?". Carlisle asked as the containers were transparent and the food could be seen.

"Harlow knows a few special creatures they were able to infuse blood into food and sent a breakfast to try. We are currently doing some research to see what else can be done to make our lives a little easier". Edward said opening a tupperware that let out steam that was filled with eggs.

"Human Food infused with blood?". Rosalie asked skeptically as Alice had been the one to throw the idea out there.

"Yea apparently someone that work for Harlow has done it in the past and for dinner last night made a simple soup and grilled cheese". Edward said opening another tupperware that contains bacon and the other with toast.

Everyone just stood there in shock as Edward used his wand. conjuring some plates, dishing out the breakfast as well as some orange juice infused with blood.

Emmett being himself was the first one to grab a strip of bacon. He moaned at the flavors he tasted. Rosalie looked at her mate rolling her eyes as he's always the first one to jump at the chance of trying something new.

"Man do you think Harlow's friend would be able to make other stuff?". Emmett asked pulling a plate towards him, diving into it with gusto.

"Poppi said she would be able to make anything infused with blood. We're only allowed about two meals a week unless we opt for a selection of snacks. They have a lower dosage of blood such as the blood pops, which would last about 6 to 8 hours. With a full meal like this breakfast, we could last a good three days before our hunger kicks in". Edward explain taking another container out of his bag that was full to the brim with blood pop which each was individually wrapped.

"This is extraordinary". Carlisle said, grabbing a glass of orange juice, studying it before testing it with a sip. He could taste the citrusy flavor with a hint of blood.

"This is great with our senses dull and our hunger under control it will be slightly easier to be around humans". Alice said excitedly as she grabbed a handful of blood pops for an emergency.

"How long are the blood pop good for?". Jasper asked curiously as he watched his mate stick them into her jacket.

"Poppi said they would be good for a few weeks before they start to deteriorate. As the plastic they're wrapped in has a preservation charm.

"Harlow will be a wonderful addition to the family with everything she has done for us without asking for anything in return. Everyone is to respect her and not badger her with many questions". Esme said to her children sternly.

"Don't worry Esme, Harlow loves to help but I do have my magic. I would appreciate if you guys have questions not to overwhelm her I can easily help as well". Edward told his siblings now that he had his magic back and with the books at his disposal that would be a few other problems he could solve for his family.

Which reminded him digging into his bag he pulled out a ring tossing it towards Jasper. "What's this for?". Jasper asked confused as he examined the plain looking ring.

"It's charmed to dull your empath ability. Once you put it on it will resize to fit your finger, it's to help with being around humans. It won't take away your ability but it won't be as powerful". Edward said as Jasper looked at the ring before sliding it onto his ring finger resizing immediately.

"What do you feel Jaz?". Alice asked curiously bouncing on her heels.

"I barely feel anything". Jasper said in shock. "I still can feel your emotions if I focus but just like our senses it's barely there". Jasper said his shoulders relaxing no longer tense like a coiled spring.

"That's great son". Carlisle said, smiling as he looked around the island. His family looked more relaxed and happier all because of Edward and his mate.

Everyone enjoyed the breakfast shoulders relaxed no longer held down with the burden of always controlling their hunger. They still had to be careful they knew, but this was a new chapter for their family to live easier among humans. All wondered what else magic could do, but they would keep their excitement to themselves not wanting to overwhelm Edward and Harlow.

This was a new chapter for the Cullen family, for decades they lived among humans always being cautious. With this new light in their lives they no longer felt weighted down and felt a bit more freed.
