From now on, acts three and two are merged into a single act again, but as it is much bigger than other two it will be divided into 4 sub-sections. The one that started in chapter 1 and is still going on now is called "The Festering Nightmare".
...
Ever since Elizabeth heard about Circus Baby's Pizza World, it was her dream to visit it. Out of all the restaurants her daddy worked in, this was easily the most spectacular. Elizabeth heard many stories about it, how animatronics there are so clever and advanced that they can talk and react to children, how they can pull off the most fun shows…
And of them all, Circus Baby herself was the greatest. An animatronic daddy built for his girl in her honor and image. Elizabeth remembered feeling her heart jumping out of her chest the moment she saw the image of her. She could dispense ice cream, create balloons, talk, and sing, and she was very pretty and shiny, just like her.
Sadly, her daddy was very reluctant to actually take her there; he always found some excuses which, after some point, Elizabeth no longer believed. He just didn't want her to see Circus Baby, always told her, Mike, and Chris that it was for the best if they stayed away from this place…But this made no sense! If Daddy created this robot for her, why would he let other children play with her but not Elizabeth? She tried not to think about it too much, it was an easy path to annoyance, and the last thing she wanted was to bring her own drama when her brothers were suffering from their pain…She wished she could help Chris so he isn't afraid anymore, and she wished she could help Mike so he doesn't feel like he has to hurt others anymore. But she was never good enough, and this left Elizabeth feeling powerless…
But today was the day when all three of them could hopefully have some genuine fun. Daddy agreed to bring them to Circus Babies! He told them a few days in advance, saying that he and his boss, Alison, agreed to organize a visit for them for some commercial…Lizzy didn't care for details; the fact itself was enough to make her jump in excitement and ensure the coming days were filled with pure anticipation. She was going to see Circus Baby, to play with her…It was huge! She was hopelessly optimistic, wondering if spending some time together in a friendly environment would help her brothers make up. Chris didn't like the idea of visiting it, though…He just went silent after hearing the news and refused to talk about it again. Mike wasn't too excited, either, but Lizzy clung to hope.
And then, the day finally came. William Afton, the chief engineer, operator, and overseer of Fazbear Inc restaurant walked into the gates of the restaurant full of amusement and wonder. Elizabeth would run behind him, hopping from time to time and looking at the board above her. It depicted the greatest animatronic, the one with bright green eyes and a joyous smile turned toward all visitors. It was wonderful, and there weren't that many people here today. It was all ripe for the taking.
"Well, here we are…" Daddy's quiet voice echoed from behind Lizzy. "The home of my greatest creations, where fantasy comes to life for children and adults alike." He didn't sound as proud as Elizabeth would've expected him to.
"Yeah, yeah," Mike said and grunted. "We're here to film that clip, aren't we? Let's get on with it before Chris has another mental breakdown." He said mockingly as he looked at his brother, who was, in turn, looking down in shame.
"Please…Stop…"
"What, gonna say that I'm wrong? God, how can you be afraid of those things…" Mike pointed at the Circus Baby image above them.
"Leave your brother alone, Mike; remember what I said will happen otherwise." William interfered confidently.
"You're one to talk…"
"Please!" Elizabeth stood between them. "Can we, just for once, have some fun? If you don't want to do it for Chris, Mikey, can you at least do it for me?"
"I…Whatever." The teenager sighed before going silent; the four of them continued their journey, finally passing through the gates of the restaurant.
Elizabeth immediately got stricken by the white halls of the place, their grandiose scale, and the stage that was unveiled on the opposite side. It had crimson curtains rising behind, and projectors would unleash pink and red light at the stage, but there was no one there…
"Remember what I told you." The man spoke up. "Don't get too close to an animatronic without me, I have some work to do, but if you need me, you can call…."
"Daddy, where is Circus Baby? I thought she would be on the stage…" Elizabeth wondered, but it did not take long for her to receive an answer to her question, she realized as soon as she heard the heavy metallic steps to her right. The girl turned around and finally witnessed perfection with her own eyes. Circus Baby was much taller than Lizzy expected; she overshadowed the girl entirely, with Elizabeth having to look up to see her face and red pigtails. "She's… SHE'S SO PRETTY!" The girl maintained an excited grin on her face, unable to pacify herself at all; there was too much fun to be had. It was so wonderful, so exciting; no words could describe it. If it wasn't for Daddy's warning, Elizabeth would've rushed towards the animatronic on her own.
"Daddy, can I play with her?"
"Perhaps later." Daddy avoided her gaze, watching the few more men in the guard uniform waiting for him closer to the stage; one of them gave him a wave.
"Please…" Elizabeth ran to Daddy and gave him a warm hug, making William slow down and look at her with slightly awkward eyes.
"I need to do some work first."
"Please, please, please!"
"Huh…Fine." William sighed. "Come on, I'll show you."
"Yay!"
Daddy took her hand, allowing Mike and Chris to wait behind as he led his daughter to the beloved animatronic. Lizzy couldn't wait to see all of Baby's features; she wanted to try Baby's ice cream; there was no doubt in her mind that it was the tastiest one in the town.
"Hello, child. Have you come to see my performance?" Baby looked down at Elizabeth, speaking in a calm, soft voice.
"Oh my god, she talks!" Elizabeth waved at the animatronic, noticing that Daddy still clung to her hand, not wanting to let the girl go. "Hiii! I really love you; you're great!"
"Welcome, welcome; I hope you have fun!" Baby didn't react to her praise and went along with her script as she kneeled to the girl. "Would you like me to play with you?"
"Yes! Can you show me how you make balloons?"
The animatronic raised her hand at hearing the word 'balloons,' showing Elizabeth her fingers. From them, a real work of art rose, red fabric that was slowly blown from beneath, taking form. It was like magic that Elizabeth watched with sparkling, overjoyed eyes. It was absolutely amazing; there was no other way to describe it.
"Here, take one, child. But be careful not to pop it…"
"Let me help her with this one." William took one of the balloons off Circus Baby and tied it before handing it to Elizabeth. When the girl looked into Daddy's eyes, she realized that she saw him smile for the very first time today. Maybe it was her own happiness that lightened up William's mood, and if so, Elizabeth was incredibly happy. "It's yours, Liza."
"Thank you… It's beautiful! Can you make me an ice cream, Baby? I…"
"Oi, Mr. Afton!" One of the other workers called out to William, distracting him from the occasion.
"What?" Daddy looked towards the man and spoke with a disgruntled voice.
"We have some technical issues; you got to check it out before it gets worse."
"I…Wait there; I'll come to you soon." William sends him away before turning towards Lizzy. "Sorry, I have to go."
"Can I play a bit more?"
"Not without me." William shook his head decisively. "I'll find you when I'm done, and then you can play a bit more."
"But daddy… She's not dangerous, is she?"
"No, but I wouldn't want any accidents to happen to you. Can't you see how heavy she is?"
"I mean, yes, but…"
"No buts, Liza, just play with your brothers for now, and I'll take you to Baby when I am free. All nice and safe."
"I…Alright." Elizabeth sighed and retreated along with William, moving back to Chris and Mike, who watched them with caution.
"You can look at Sugar's performance for now." William pointed at the animatronic cat preparing his puppet; Dough, Lizzy remembered those two characters from the show. Suddenly, the girl realized that there was another shadow hanging over her.
"Or perhaps we could do something even more exciting." An intrigued voice rang from behind all of them, causing the girl to turn out and see a vaguely familiar face. It was a man in a fedora and with a cane that helped him walk, wearing a bright blue coat and scouring over the three children.
"Alison…" Daddy stepped forth as if to shield his children, and now Elizabeth recognized the man. This was the restaurant owner who was there for her birthday at Fredbear's; he was her daddy's boss.
"Words cannot describe how glad I am to see your entire family join the party, Mr. Afton!" Alison exclaimed in a jolly voice. "I was never able to meet them in person, alas, but now is a perfect time to correct this, don't you agree?"
"As per our agreement," William responded coldly. "I will keep an eye on them, though."
"Of course, rest assured, Mr. Afton, they're safe with me." Alison smiled as he sent Elizabeth's daddy away on his business. It was strangling, being left alone with someone she didn't know very well. Usually, Daddy would tell her not to talk with strangers, but he seemed to trust this Alison…And if so, she trusted him, too. "Let us all get acquainted; I am sure it will be a wondrous experience for each and every one of us. I am Alison Bairren, director of Fazbear Inc and someone who created the fantasy those restaurants are bringing to life, and there is nothing that brings me more joy than seeing my new, happy customers…"
"I remember you; you were at my birthday," Elizabeth said.
"Clever girl, you've got a good memory. Elizabeth, correct?"
"Yes…" For the first time today, she felt a little shy. There was something odd about this man; his happy disposition seemed strange, almost fake…But Elizabeth couldn't quite understand what exactly it was that made her feel so uneasy.
"And you must be Mike." Alison turned towards the oldest child.
"Yup, that's me. Father said that you want us to record an ad or something, so I'd just get it over with."
"Ah, Mr. Afton, always spoiling surprises…But he's right. See, you three are a lucky bunch, being the children of one of the most respected and important members of the Fazbear Inc family. I have no doubt that you have an idea how much Mr. Afton did for us, but it truly can't be overstated!" Alison gushed. "And as a part of our 'bring your family to work' program, I thought it would be a wonderful idea to give the spotlight to my best worker's children so they can tell the world a little about why they love the Fazbear franchise." Lizzy had to admit this sounded like an exciting activity. She's been a fan of the cartoon and the restaurant chain. As soon as they were shown to the world, many happy memories that Lizzy had were bound to them. "So, what do you say? "
"Sure, I can do that!" Elizabeth exclaimed, trying to let go of any remnants of unease.
"Okay, I guess." Mike shrugged, leaving Alison to look at the last child. Chris was looking to the floor and sobbing very quietly; Elizabeth could hear vague sounds.
"And you?" Alison looked at the boy with concerned eyes. "You look saddened. Did anything happen?"
"I'm alright…" Chris whispered.
"You can tell me I'm your friend," Alison reassured him. "It is supposed to be a joyous day; I wouldn't want you to feel left out!"
"Ignore this crying child," Mike said dismissively. "That's how he always is; it would be weirder if he showed any signs of joy."
"No, I'm fine; I can do the video…." Chris looked up and wiped his tears; he got met with Alison's wide smile.
"Good, good…Sorry, I don't remember your name. Could you remind me?"
"I'm Chris."
"Of course you are." Alison nodded as if getting stricken by a force of remembrance. He took out the camera soon. "So, who's going first?"
"I will!" Elizabeth raised her hand, a habit she maintained from having to do it at school.
"Wonderful! Now, just a moment…three, two, one…Go!" Alison pressed the button. "Tell me, my dear, why do you like our restaurants?"
"I like them a lot because… What's not to like? They're wonderful!" Elizabeth had a few ideas of what she wanted to say, but it wasn't structuralists' property, so she had to improvise. "When I watched 'Freddy and Friends' for the first time, I honestly fell in love with it; it was so good! The characters were so fun, and I couldn't wait for the next episode. I liked Chica especially, she was so funny! I couldn't believe that they would become real! I mean, not that real, but it's still cool! My daddy had a birthday party for me with Fredbear; it was one of the best days of my life! And then he…"
"That's quite enough." Alison turned the recording off while still smiling. "You did a good job; the audience will love the enthusiasm! Now to you, Michael. I expect you will show the same dedication."
"I'll try." Mike shrugged as Alison put the camera on him.
"Three, two, one…Go!"
"Eh…Well, first off, I got to say that the whole idea of those robots that can freely walk, sometimes talk and entertain is just…Super cool. When I first heard of it, I honestly didn't quite believe they were going to pull it off, but boy, was I proven wrong on that one. As for the show and characters…I think there is something special to them; there has to be a reason why children flock to them, after all. It has that warm, family atmosphere, you know? Also, Foxy is cool, the best character along with Roxanne."
"Wonderful, we always love to have a teenager's perspective!" Alison congratulated Mike after turning the camera off. "Some labor under that false misconception that we are a franchise only for younger children, which is absolutely not the case. We're as family-friendly as we can be. And you, Chris? Feeling up to it?"
"I…Yeah, I guess." The boy sighed; Lizzy felt like he was forced to conform to Alison's idea out of pressure, but she didn't speak out against it.
"Three, two, one…Go."
"Well…I really like cartoons. It has some really nice characters, and it's like an adventure…Fredbear is really cool. I like how he is very strong and powerful but is also kind to everybody and doesn't want anyone to get hurt…I think it's important when stronger people protect those weaker than them; they're… They're heroes."
"Nice…And what about the restaurants themselves?"
"I…" Chris stuttered. "Well, they're…" Before he could continue, he and others noticed an approaching animatronic. It was Ballora dancing along her track with her eyes closed, playing a calm, jolly melody. "I'm sorry…I…I think that's all I can say." Chris ended the speech before turning around and hastily running away from the approaching animatronic.
"Chris, wait!" Lizzy reached out to him, but he didn't react.
"Did I say something wrong?" Alison wondered.
"No, this baby is throwing another hissy fit over an animatronic," Mike said with disgust.
"Oh my god, you're so mean…" Elizabeth shook her head. She didn't feel like spending any more time with Mike, not if he was going to be so spiteful and angry at their brother, who would never hurt a fly. She should find Chris and talk to him a little later, but Elizabeth wasn't sure if he would appreciate anyone distracting him from his alone time…Maybe he needed a break, and meanwhile, Lizzy could do some exploring on her own.
"Would you like to hear my song, child?" Ballora's motherly voice echoed from the animatronic as she passed beside Elizabeth. The girl gave her a quick glance, enamored but the robot's flawless movements and a faint memory that she reawakened in the girl's mind. A memory of a brighter time when she always had someone to turn to, when everyone in her family was truly happy…
A memory that made her heartache.
…
Chris despised every moment he had to spend in this restaurant; even though he couldn't say no to his father, he was too scared to do so. When the boy heard that they were about to visit Lily's resting place, as if nothing bad happened, he was disgusted and horrified. Dad knew that he saw it now; Mike told him…What did he want? Would he kill Chris, too, now? Would he kill his own child to avoid the witnesses?
Maybe he believed him and not Mike…There was a very slim chance of that. It was a horrible mistake to ever tell Mike about this; it was clear that he would not take this seriously and instead use it as an opportunity to mock Chris. It was agonizing, walking among those halls and seeing an animatronic get close. When Ballora approached, the images of that day reappeared before the boy's mind, Lily's swift and almost silent scream as the claw got her, Kitty's soulless eyes, his father's complacency…He was holding himself from screaming, for with every second, Chris felt the impending doom.
Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry…
All of it was wrong; he didn't want to die here…And Chris felt that everyone around him would gladly kill him on the spot. Dad, all those workers, the animatronics, even Mike…
They hate you.
The echo of Fredbear's voice emerged in Chris's mind, just like what he had heard during his nightmare. His spirit was still with the boy, unwilling to let go, a companion that never left his side, who always watched him from every corner and every door. He was his only source of relief in the dreams, but now that Chris was awake and he still didn't go away…The boy felt his legs shaking.
"What did I tell you about performing maintenance without me?" Dad's voice echoed in his ears, causing Chris to turn around. He saw William shouting at another worker.
"Sorry, Mr. Afton, but I did everything according to the guidelines."
"And guidelines are pointless if one doesn't practice," William said, unimpressed. "Come on, show me what the hell is going on with Kitty, and I'll work from there."
"Fine… She's in her gallery now." The man pointed at the dreaded door through which Chris and Lily walked, yet only one of them left. Was she still inside the animatronic? Is that why they wanted to check on her? A horrible thought plagued Chris…What if his father wanted to take her body out and free the space so…So…No, this couldn't be right! Why would anyone kill their family? Why did anyone hurt their family…This was the question Chris asked himself all the time, yet that's exactly what Mike did.
"Dad…" Chris forced himself to speak, making William turn around. The man looked at the boy with tired eyes devoid of most emotion.
"What, Chris? I believe I said I will be busy…" William crossed his arms, making his son realize that he had to be quick.
"I just…Wanted to say sorry."
"For what?"
"Well, you know…About me crying and…"
"It is not your fault, I am sure it wouldn't be as bad without Mike, and I will deal with him, I promise…But not now; my men are waiting."
"I didn't want to lie." Chris's words caused William to go silent for a moment, after which he took a deep breath.
"Chris…Now is not the time. Go find Elizabeth and try to have at least some fun. I know it's hard, but…" For a moment, his father seemed genuine, as if there was something he desperately wanted to say something but couldn't. "Forget it; I need to go." William cut himself off before leaving Chris alone. Alone amidst this place…This place where everyone tried to convince him he was welcome even though he knew that was a lie.
He was only welcome as prey.
Chris heard someone else's steps behind him, causing the boy to shake once again. He wasn't sure if he wanted to turn around at all.
"Chris?" A woman's voice echoed from behind, it was distinctly familiar, and when the boy turned around, he saw a familiar face. The brown-haired woman was as tired as his father yet had the same suspicious gaze in her eyes.
"Mrs. Takaliken?" Chris said in disbelief. It had been a long time since he last saw Lynda, and her just appearing at this place made it all even more surreal… "What…What are you doing here?"
"Nothing, I'm just visiting…Maybe I'd talk to your father at some point, but he seems busy."
"No, don't talk to him! "Chris let out in horror, not even thinking of the repercussions. His father was a dangerous man, he might not kill him, but he would kill Lynda if he had to. What if he killed Gron too? This made no sense; they were best friends; none of this made sense!
"What, why?"
"Oh, I didn't mean you can't, just…" Why did his life like a fever dream? At this point, Chris wasn't even sure if he was awake or not. All those people around him knew something, something that connected to what he knew, yet all of them wanted to pretend like he was just a clueless child, like there was nothing more to him at all. But he knew, he saw this twist of reality, and he couldn't unsee it…
He just ran off without looking back. He didn't want to look into her eyes, or Alison's, or Dad's…There was something vile in all of them. Emotions that shouldn't be there, be it fear, intrigue, or hopelessness…This was just a normal day…Just a day…Just another day.
It didn't take long for the boy to bump into Mike, another one of his tormentors, but at least he was blissfully ignorant. He just refused to accept it, and Chris couldn't help but envy him because of it.
"Here you are." Mike sighed. "Ran off again and left me to search for you, Jesus…" At first, his voice sounded fairly calm, creating an illusion of safety for Chris, but it was quickly dispelled. "Don't think it's over, buddy."
"I'm sorry…" Chris apologized reflexively.
"For lying in front of father? No, you aren't; you are just a coward who can't admit that you told me a bullshit story that you made up in your head because your friend is missing!"
"Mike, I'm sorry, I didn't want to; I was just so scared…"
"So you admit it was a lie, then?"
"No, it's…"
"Oh, for fuck sake!" Mike clenched his fist and took a deep breath. "I don't know what's wrong with you…Those are just robots, girly robots! And yet they're enough to get you shitting your pants like a little bitch. At least most children grow out of it by this age…Not you, though."
"Mike, please!" Chris looked up and begged. "I didn't lie to you, I swear! I know it sounds strange, stupid even, but… We're not safe here." He muttered under his breath, hoping that no one would overhear them. "Dad knows something; he was there!" Even more tears…The boy felt like he was in a state of continuous agonizing breakdown, unable to stop at any point. "Please, I need you to believe me!"
"I…" Mike looked away for a moment and spoke with a softened voice. "Just get away from me." He cut himself off quickly and turned around, stroking off away from Chris as quickly as possible. The boy was alone again…
And he didn't have strength for anything but more tears.
…
It was a good day.
By no means perfect, as Alison hoped it might be, but it was sufficient in accomplishing what he wanted to do. A new set of commercials was almost ready, he might need to cut out the segment with Chris, as the boy was too emotional and would not pass off as a good advertisement, but the other two would suffice. Alison got to talk to Afton's children a bit more while also giving himself an opportunity to see how the work was going at Circus Baby's Pizza world. All he had to do now was to watch his animatronics showing their best performances and witnessing children playing among each other…After all, the offsprings of Mr. Afton were a part of the Fazbear Inc family, whether they knew it or not.
He did have one question, though. Among the three siblings, Chris's behavior was the most unnatural. He was terrified of the animatronics and ran off as soon as one dared to approach. He remembered this child very clearly now; he always preferred to keep to himself; even at Elizabeth's birthday, he showed some signs of fear towards the animatronics, but it wasn't as bad as this. What happened? Did Lily's disappearance push him over the edge? Quite possibly, but it still seemed excessive…
Alison noticed a lone girl with strawberry blonde not far away from himself. Elizabeth wandered among the restaurant, looking at Circus Baby from a distance. She must have been very eager to play with her, even though Mr. Afton told her not to get close without him. Ah, sweet irony, she was but a prisoner in a web of lies. Maybe she was trying to make sense of it all, but it wasn't possible without knowing the context. A shame; if it was anyone else's child, she would've been an easy victim.
"How are you, my dear?" Alison stepped forward, calling out to Elizabeth. "You seem a little down."
"Oh, it's fine, really; I just…I want to play with Circus Baby, but Daddy doesn't allow me to, and I don't know how else I can distract myself." She responded meekly.
"Distract yourself from what?" After those words, Elizabeth paused before looking to her side, she was reluctant to talk, but just like any child, she could be manipulated. "It's okay, you can trust me; I've been your father's friend for two years now."
"It's about Chris." She confessed, and Alison did his best to hold back a smile; this was exactly what he wanted to learn. "He's been down lately…The girl he played with disappeared, and I don't think anyone cares except him…I don't really know why; they should be searching for her." Elizabeth sighed. "And Mike is bullying him. It's horrible!"
"How?"
"He makes fun of Chris being afraid of the animatronics and jumps at him in his mask…Sometimes with his friends, I think. It's just so mean and cruel; he wasn't like that before, and Daddy…" The girl sniffed. "He is so busy he doesn't talk to us anymore, and he's often tired and angry. They're all just so sad, and I…I know it's hard for them, but…I just want them back! I love them all, and they're all going through something horrible; I just don't understand!" She was getting emotional as Alison realized some flaws in his approach. Utilizing Mr. Afton to his best ability was consult when it came to his free time. He could spend it with family, but it made them grow all the more distant, and if their relations worsened, someone would start to suspect something…Maybe Mike would wonder if Mrs. Afton's death was an accident. He needed to keep an eye on them all.
"You're…A nice girl, Elizabeth." Alison calmed her down. "Trust me, everyone grows through hard times; when I remember my family, it was far from perfect, but I still managed…Even with some fond memories." Alison sighed.
"You think it will get better?"
"I know it will, from experience. Just give them their time and space, and for now…Have some fun." Alison encouraged her, finally seeing a smile on her face.
"Thank you, Mr. Bairren, you're very kind."
"Now, let's…" Alison was about to suggest she rejoin her siblings, but something caught his eye.
"What?"
"Never mind…Go play somewhere."
There was a woman wandering around the walls, which immediately enforced a sense of familiarity to reappear in Alison, mostly because of how much spying his agents had to do with this one. Lynda Takaliken, Gron's wife and his main source of leverage in case Lockjaw ever plans a move. He decided not to kill her or Charlie just yet, or else there will be nothing holding Lockjaw back from telling the truth, but he knew Gron would not waste his time in the shadows. A time would come when he would have to use them…And the fact that Lynda became so nosy in the last few months was not a fortunate sign.
Perhaps he should've talked with her. Alison made his way towards the woman, closely watching her. She was here to spy on them; she must have suspected something. Alison knew too well that she despised those restaurants after Gron's death; what was on her mind? Was it vengeance, or was it grief? She never let us go; what if she finds out about Lockjaw? Alison was used to paranoia; it was the tool that allowed him to survive for so long, after all. Everyone was a potential enemy, everyone.
But just as Alison got closer, he realized that there was something else, something he caught with the edge of his eye. It was Elizabeth, and she was getting close to Circus Baby…Slowly but surely, the girl was making her way to an animatronic who held an ice cream cone in her hand, eyeing the child. She was back on the stage, standing close to the curtains and behind the walls, while the few remaining children and workers were in other areas; even Lynda was walking towards the door. Alison knew he was too far for the animatronic to detect him; if she came too close, she would die.
Endless possibilities rushed through Alison's head. He could allow this to happen, and then he would have a soul of an Afton child, a horrific accident that occurred while no one was looking. Yes, he would need an extra soul, but on the other hand…This girl was Mr. Afton's child, his favorite, it would seem. Even after two years of service, he did not let go of his rebellious spirit, and Alison feared that it was only a matter of time before he acted to try something again. Perhaps he was already plotting behind his back…The girl was too important to lose just yet, as much as Alison hated to admit it.
"Where do you think you're going?! "He said in a commanding tone, causing Elizabeth to stop just before she reached Circus Baby.
"Oh, Mr. Bairren, I…" She spoke nervously. "I just saw her making ice cream, she's so pretty, and I wanted to play with her…"
"And what did your father say about playing with the animatronic?"
"That I shouldn't do it without him watching…"
"Yes, I believe Mr. Afton was very clear on that, and we both should honor this wish."
"But she's just a pretty robot…What can go wrong? So many children play with her and I…"
"This is not up for debate, young lady. Come with me; I will take you to your father."
"Alright…"
Alison grabbed her and pulled the girl away from Circus Baby; Elizabeth was more valuable while alive, at least for now. Alas, this also made Alison realize that this momentary distraction made him let go of Lynda, who was nowhere to be seen. If only this girl didn't decide to be a fool…Alison took a deep breath and calmed himself.
There was still time to deal with all of them, and he would use it wisely.
