NATSU's POV

We had finally arrived in the town of cinder and immediately Erza had us go to the client's house. When we arrived at the house we were greeted by a man who had brown hair and brown eyes along with a male kimono shirt and black pants. Once the man sat us down on a green couch he told us that his name was Kuri and of all we need to do and where the monster and dark guild was. I didnt listen to much of what he said as I had a headache after my fight with the clone I couldn't remember most of what happened and the little I did remember was pretty much a blur or didn't add up to what the fight ended up to at the end. I put that thought aside and got up with the rest of the team.

"You okay Natsu'san you've been zoning out for awhile?" Wendy whispered in my ear probably to make sure the others didn't worry about me though I doubt they would after all they all knew I was strong and had trust in me. That's what Lucy said anyway. "I'm fine Wendy just wanna get this job done so me and happy can go raid Luce's fridge" I whispered back in Wendy's ear and gave her one of my grins that's seemed to always lighten the mood. Wendy giggled and nodded her head as a response. As we walked everyone seemed to be chatting and doing their own thing. Erza Wendy and Carla were talking and probably thinking of a plan for the mission while ice prick and Luce were chatting and as for happy he sat on my head and talked to me about how to get Carla to accept his fish. I wasn't really listening to anything happy was saying because of the headaches that kept getting on my nerves. I couldn't react to them though as the others would worry and we would either end up failing the mission or turn back and have Lucy not be able to pay her rent. Which would mean I couldn't sleep in her bed now that was a true terror.

We ended up walking for a couple more minutes and soon ended up coming across the clearing that held the dark guild. Surprisingly they were all outside and ready for us along with some kind of huge monster that looked to be about the size of the building. The beast had purple red and green skin in strange patterns making it look like it had some kind of weird skin disease along with pointy teeth and sharp claws. Erza raised her sword at the dark guild who pretty much looked like a bunch of thugs trying to act tough.

"You all have 10 seconds to surrender before we cut you all down!" Erza shouted at the thugs with a look that said if they didn't listen to her she promised death or eternal pain. Some seemed to be considering it until a man with black hair and green eyes and all black clothes stepped out and got in front of the rest of the thugs.

LUCY's POV

Once that big thug guy stepped out I knew Erza was gonna end up kicking his ass. He just had that look on his face that said he wouldn't listen. Which means he's dumb. "No." The man said in a confident voice with his arms crossed over his chest. "Well your loss." Erza shrugged her shoulders. "Charge! Show no mercy!" She yelled like she was leading an army into battle while raising her sword high into the air. We all charged and chose our targets. Erza of course chose the big thug and a few of his lackeys. Wendy Carla and Happy picked some other thugs ranging from about 10 to 30. While I Natsu and Gray decided to take care of the monster and the last few lackeys which were only about 5 so I dealt with them pretty quickly.

Gray froze the monsters legs while Natsu punched it in the eye. "Open gate of the archer Sagittarius!" Once Sagittarius had appeared I had him aim for the creatures chest. Once he shot the arrow and hit the chest the monster looked down at me and growled. It raised its clawed hand and swiped down at me attempting to either kill or injure me to kill of later. "Shit" I whispered as the claw was about to hit me. I closed my eyes tight to brace myself but right as I thought my life was gonna be done for I was grabbed by the waist from Sagittarius arm and we managed to dodge the incoming attack. From the perspective I was at I could see Natsu land on the monster shoulder and ready his attack. It looked like he was concentrating on making sure I was okay so he must not of noticed the big ass claw aiming for him...oh shit. "Natsu watch out!" I screamed just in time for Natsu to look over and notice the clawed hand aiming for him. Just as the attack was about to make contact with him he dodged only ending up getting graced by the claw.

"Get ready flame for brains one more attack should be able to bring this thing down!"

I managed to close Sagittarius gate just in time to hear what Gray had said. "Open gate of the scorpion scorpio! Right as I opened the get I remember that Scorpio was dating Aquarius and that they were probably hanging out. In my head I made a small side note that said. 'Do not summon Aquarius for awhile.' "Fire dragons roar!" Ice make knuckles" "Sand blast" After all our attacks hit the creature in the head it seemed to wobble for awhile then fell backwards destroying the dark guild building. I thought that the thugs would yell in anger or fear and sadness but when I turned around I saw them all laying there looking like they were pretty much dead and in non magic cuffs (though I thought if they barely even knew how to use magic) with Erza standing on top of the big guys back like a champion.Everything was going good I had sent Scorpio back to the celestial spirit realm, Natsu and Gray weren't fighting and Erza wasn't having to bother beating the crap out of them. Like I said it was all going great.(I should not have said that)

NATSU's POV

We had just finished taking down the monster when all of a sudden we all heard the noise of someone clapping their hands. We all turned around to see Kuri appearing with a smirk on his face. "Kuri what are you doing here?" Gray questioned suspiciously. His smirk grew bigger and suddenly darkness was at his feet and surrounding him. Once it was gone all that was left was a man everyone was all to familiar with. He had black hair and eyes with a white toga that went around his body. "Zeref! What are you doing here?!" Erza screamed. I was furious the darkest wizard in history just showed up out of nowhere clapping his hands like he watched an entire show. Lucy looked at me for a minute like she was thinking about something then seemed like she came to a realization of some sorts. "You set us up didn't you. You commissioned the quest for us to go on." Lucy said in a voice that seemed anger and confused. "But why?"

Zeref looked at Lucy with a smile of amusement then snapped his fingers and in an instant the book from before appeared in his hand but this time it's eye stayed on me. "So I can do this of course" Zeref said as he opened the book. Once the book was opened the headache I had been having before became more intense and painful then suddenly I fell to my knees clutching my head. "Natsu" Lucy screamed as she ran over to me and kneeled down to see if I was alright. "You alright what's going on with you?" I tried to answer her but I couldn't it was like something had took away my voice all that I was able to do was grab my head tighter and stare at the ground before I was brought to a place completely black and darkness filled the air. I could still hear and see but I couldn't move and speak with my body like someone else was controlling it and all I could do was watch as my body stood up and started attacking the people I loved.

NOBODY POV

Natsu stood up slowly with his eyes closed. Lucy got up and slowly took some steps back sensing something was wrong with Natsu. "Wendy no!" Gray shouted as Wendy ran over to Natsu thinking he was hurt and needed help. She smiled once she finally got over to Natsu trying to make sure he was alright. Her smile quickly faded away once Natsu opened his eyes while Zeref's smirk only grew bigger.

WENDY's POV

Once I had arrived over to Natsu I brought up my hands to use my magic to make sure he was alright. "My magic isn't working" I breathed out. As I looked up at Natsu and saw his eyes opened as soon as they did I immediately noticed that they were red and looked like they had no emotions in them. Fear filled my body once I took notice of this but it was already to late he raised his hand and shot a blast of fire out of it. As the attack was about to hit me Gray and Erza got in front of me and shielded me from the blast with their magic. "What the hell has gotten into you flame brain?!" Gray screamed but Natsu didn't reply just stared at him raised his hand back up. "That's enough Natsu" Zeref said. Natsu lowered his hand back down and walked over to Zeref to stand behind him. "What the hell did you do to him you bastard!" Lucy and Erza screamed at the same time. He didn't reply just snapped his fingers. Once he did we all suddenly started to feel sleepy and passed out one by one. The last thing I saw before I was knocked out completely was Zeref walking away with Natsu following behind him.

2 hours later ERZA's POV

Once I had awoken from Zeref's spell I looked around and took notice of my surroundings. It was late afternoon from the way the sky was and the others were all still knocked out. They seemed to have minor injuries but nothing Porlyusica can't fix. "Ugh what happened?" I turned my head to see Gray waking up and taking a look at his surroundings. "No time to look around Gray we need to get back to the guild and report to master about what happened." Gray stood fully up and looked down at Lucy, Wendy, Happy, and Carla. "What about them?" Gray questioned. "We carry them I'll take Lucy and Happy while you carry Wendy and Carla." I helped Gray put Wendy on his back and Carla on his head while I carried Lucy bridle style with Happy also on my head. After we got them all picked up we started heading for the guild.

WITH ZEREF AND NATSU NOBODY POV

"Lord Zeref welcome back your materials are all ready"

I really do love Zeref as a character like a lot of others do but for this fanfictionhe's kinda gonna have to been seen as kinda a villainand a hero at the same time but IpromiseI have good plans for him.
