Walking most quietly, Zebra found himself in front of Saonel, who was still plugging his ears.
"What's up? Is my voice really so unbearable that it keeps you from fighting? However, I am far from having shouted to the maximum! Far from there."
Faced with this admission, Saonel gritted his teeth, before realizing he had nowhere else to go.
"It appears I don't have the choice. I never thought I would have to do something like this to defeat any sort of opponent I would come across," the Universe 6 Namekian admitted. Then swelling his muscles, he pulled his ears with all his might, before tearing them out.
Still staring at him, Zebra didn't even seem surprised to see this. Instead of worrying, he smiled before asserting the Namekian.
"Very good idea! My ultrasounds will no longer have any effect on you like this."
Getting into position, the Namek took advantage of the total silence to fight Zebra. Using his speed, he inflicted a storm of punches on his opponent, which Zebra struggled to hold off. Putting his arms in front of his face, he took the attacks one by one without flinching.
Rather than anger or frustration, joy could be seen on his face as he screamed.
"YES, THAT'S IT! KEEP IT UP! HIT ME AGAIN! TRY TO PUSH ME TO MY LIMITS!"
Up above, the Goddess of Destruction sneered. "How ugly. What kind of a warrior would have such atrocious behavior," Heles said. Pell, the Supreme Kai couldn't help but agree. "While I agree his actions and behavior are almost irrational, he is still showing his capabilities as a warrior of the Second." The angel attendant, Sour, didn't spew a word from his mouth, as he continued to view the fight.
Back on the tournament ring, unable to understand his words, looking at the expression on his face, Saonel backed up before opening his mouth, to fire an energetic beam. Imitating him, Zebra inhaled deeply, then unleashed his own attack.
"METEOR SOUND!"
Colliding the two attacks created an explosion which hid the two competitors in a kind of smoke. However, this in no way prevented them from spotting his opponent. Through ki detection or waves acting like radar, Saonel and Zebra knew exactly where each other was.
Being still, they are currently concentrating to release a great energetic power. Thus, as soon as the smoke cleared, the two enemies released their accumulated energy towards each other.
"SOUND… "
"NORENZO…" Saonel began, as ten balls formed at his fingertips.
"BAZOOKA!"
"...NEPA!"
Then firing his energy balls, Saonel created a multitude of others, in order to be able to bombard Zebra. When the gourmet of Universe 2, he let himself be touched by the attack, disappearing in various explosions.
"It would be wise for you to surrender and step off stage!" Saonel roared, continuing to attack him. "You can never beat me."
" Why don't you put your money where your mouth is?! " Zebra thought, before shouting. "SOUND WALL!"
Finally stopping to attack him, Saonel was surprised to see Zebra, uninjured, behind a strange transparent wall.
"What the? How did you do that?" Saonel wasn't given any time to think about how the barely visible barrier was formed in front of Zebra, as an attack was launched
"PASSING SHOWER!"
Immediately sound waves hit Saonel, and acted like sharp blades, creating large gashes on the Namekian's body.
"ARRRRGGGH!" he cried in agony, but the assault wasn't over yet.
"BOMBER SOUND!"
Seeing Zebra inhale air, before throwing a sound bomb, the Namekian jumped just in the nick of time before floating in the air. Healing his wounds by regenerating himself, he opened his mouth, to create an energy ray. Deciding to emulate him, Zebra took a deep breath before screaming.
"LASER SOUND!"
Within two seconds, the two attacks collided. However, Zebra's laser ends up repelling Saonel's attack. Then he pierced her abdomen. Spitting out purple blood, the namek felt himself fall backwards. However, before he could touch the ground, he saw Zebra running towards him, his fist back.
" SOUND PUNCH!"
Struck without being able to defend himself, Saonel flew back, before finding himself above the void.
"YES!" shouted Pell. "The first victory for the Second Universe! Keep it up, Zebra!"
"SAONEL!" Champa yelled, frightened, leaning forward to see his fighter about to fall into the void.
However, opening one eye, he stretched out his arm and managed to grip the edge of the pitch, and pull himself back onstage.
"It's going to take more than that to throw me out of this ring!" Saonel promised. Too many Namekians had given up their lives to fuse within him and his fellow partner. They couldn't afford to lose this.
Simply growling, Zebra readied himself once more. At least this warrior didn't show any signs of cockiness or dared to underestimate his abilities.
"ZEHAHAHA!"
Remaining seated on a rock, Teach was watching the many fights around him, while sneering, letting the blast of the explosions shake his hair. "If I had such fighters like these in my crew, I would have become the Pirate King a very long time ago," he said to himself.
However, he suddenly bent down, to avoid the blade of a sword that cut his pirate hat in half. Losing his smile, he turned to see a ninja with a sword in his hand, smirking widely. "It seems I have surprised you. I sincerely apologize for that, but I saw you standing still, wandering off in your own little world and I couldn't help but ignore my urge to attack you out of plain daylight," Sonic apologized, since of course, much like a Saiyan, he had a strong urge to fight powerful opponents. "Nevertheless, the fact that you managed to avoid my attack at such ease indicates you must have very good reflexes, especially for someone of your stature."
Seeing the former member of the 44th Graduation Class, Teach regained his smile. "In the world where I hail from, very few have dared to attack me with my back turned. I'll be sure to enjoy this fight as well."
And in an instant, a dark color escaped from his body and began to cover the ground around his feet. Seeing the darkness approaching him, Sonic jumped back several times, before taking refuge above a large boulder. Then, from his perch, he saw darkness engulfing all the rocks around Teach. "Now then, shall we proceed? If you want, I shall let you make the first move," the warrior from Universe 3 offered.
Sonic made no movement, all he could do was prepare himself for the upcoming attacks. Teach saw this and smiled, meaning he would have the honor of making the first move against the rival of Saitama.
Immediately, his hand was covered with darkness and a large boulder came out of it before rushing towards Sonic. Using his saber in time, the ninja cut the stone in half. Unfortunately for him, it only served as a distraction as other rocks came out of Teach's body and bombarded Sonic's shelter. Abandoning his rock, Sonic began to jump in all directions, to avoid the rain of projectiles. Being able to dodge them without any problem, Sonic dared to fold his arms, while retorting.
"I have already faced people who had attacks similar to this one many times before! Don't you have anything more original?"
Suddenly the rocks stopped falling. Opening one eye, Sonic then saw Teach raise his arm in the air before striking a specific pose. Concentrating the energy in his arm, he cried out, before knocking into the void. Still, Sonic was surprised to see the air crack where Teach's fist hit.
"I must be seeing things!"
Having a bad feeling, Sonic jumped aside. In the next instant, the boulder that was right behind him exploded to pieces by an invisible force. Feeling funny vibrations under his feet, Sonic felt like an earthquake had struck the ground.
"How the hell did he do that?"
"I would have taught you if you were so proudly my ally," Teach assured, setting up another shock wave.
However, Sonic disappeared at that moment, before jumping all over the place. Using his supreme speed, Sonic took advantage of the many rocks on the ground to rebound like a spring. Then, before Teach could react, he rushed over to Teach and thrust his foot into her stomach.
Opening his eyes and mouth wide, Teach felt like Sonic had just sprayed his stomach and felt his feet pull back. Still, managing to stay upright, Teach grabbed Sonic's leg. Then lifting the body of the ninja, he slammed it against the ground with all his might. Spitting blood, Sonic then felt Teach's hand strangle him before seeing him raise his fist in the air, all the while starting to form a shock wave.
"I can't let this drag on, I'm ending this now!"
Nonetheless, waving his arm, Sonic managed to drop a shuriken that was hidden in his sleeve into his hand. And without wasting a moment, he threw it in Teach's face. Exploding, the object blinded Teach sufficiently. Hitting the ground, he missed Sonic's face by a few inches. Immediately, Sonic moved his hips and managed to hit Teach's ribs.
Hearing the pirate moan in pain, as his grip loosened, the ninja took the opportunity to free himself from his grip. However, barely had the man had time to step back when he saw Teach again clench his fist and pretend to hit him.
However, a figure appeared behind the pirate and hit him. Screaming in pain, Teach felt a sword strike his back, creating a deep gash. Sonic was very confused, seeing Teach fall to his knees, as he was certain none of this was his doing.
Up above in the stands, the Supreme Kai of the Third Universe was confused as well. "I don't understand! Just where did that other sword come from?!" Eyre exclaimed.
Then, seizing his saber in time, he blocked Kurome's sword. Having barely had time to see the young girl, Sonic was surprised by something: her expressionless gaze. Sonic was sure she was like him. Kurome must have been an assassin. Yet compared to him, she didn't seem to show any emotion in his gaze.
"I'm going to take a guess and say you're from the Ninth Universe, right?" Sonic asserted, pulling back then.
Kurome's face didn't falter in the slightest as Sonic went on. "Just a few seconds before you made your presence known to me, I had the strange feeling of seeing a murderous aura in your universe! Especially around this woman with blue hair! Are you all assassins or what?"
"And why should you care?" Kurome asked him, who shrugged. "Fair enough."
In response, the two warriors ran towards each other, sword in hand. The guns then collided, causing sparks. Then, almost making their arms disappear, Sonic and Kurome attacked at full speed. First, their lower bodies were still. Then they started to run. Running in front of each other, while continuing to attack each other, the two ended up jumping on a large rock, before leaping into the air. Placing their sabers back, they made a quick movement, creating two sharp winds. Hitting each other the two attacks matched. Dropping their feet back onto the rock, Sonic and Kurome ran towards each other again. However, instead of continuing to attack, Sonic just let Kurome attack him, without even trying to defend himself. But it was clear he had the upper hand in terms of speed, and seeing him avoiding many attacks, while displaying a childish smile, Kurome then saw her opponent running backwards, while seeming to taunt her.
"Stop smiling stupidly and fight," she ordered, barely hiding her frustration.
"Finally a reaction. I was getting bored seeing that stoic face of yours all day."
Suddenly, he lifted his leg, to block Kurome's blade. Then he aimed his own sword at the girl's head. Pushing his face away from his blade, Kurome nonetheless felt part of his hair being cut by the blade.
This time, Sonic didn't hesitate to attack him, while Kurome was on the defensive.
"Just what is with you?" the ninja inquired the swordswoman standing before him. " You certainly know how to handle a sword! However, you don't have much out of the ordinary."
Suddenly, Sonic sensed a movement and immediately fled. A moment later, a huge figure crashed into where the ninja was, placing itself in front of Kurome.
"What in the hell?!" Sonic wondered, seeing something looked like a huge dog.
"KORO, ATTACK HIM, BUT DON'T DEVOUR IT!" cried the deceased warrior from the Ninth. "ARM MODE!"
Immediately the dog's arms widened. Seeing this, Sonic couldn't help but smile like a kid, while asserting.
"And here I thought this little tourney couldn't get any better!"
Strong.
A word Saitama was all too familiar with when being described by any enemy that he would so happen to face. Unfortunately, he couldn't say the same to any enemy that he fought. Because of his immense strength, there was barely anyone he knew or was aware of who was worth a challenge for him, and such he barely found any sort of thrill in battle.
The Caped Baldy himself had very high hopes for this so-called Tournament of Power, even though their lives were at stake here. He heard their universe wasn't the strongest in the entire multiverse, and this meant there were probably so many other strong people.
The Universe 4 deities didn't seem all that worried about this tournament, knowing about their trump card.
"This Saitama better be worth something if he defeated Boros. It's not something anyone can do," Quitela commented. Boros was his Agent of Destruction, which meant while the God of Destruction himself didn't deal with destroying planets a lot, he had Boros do it for him, like Frieza was Beerus' Agent of Destruction.
"I'm flabbergasted you even allowed someone like him into those sort of ranks, much less let him into this tournament," Kuru, the Supreme Kai commented.
"Well, there's no point dwelling over spilled milk, now is there," Quitela replied. "I think we have this in the bag. I doubt even Vermoud's best players can handle those two."
Back in the ring, the B-Class hero from Z-City kept walking around the rocky ring, with huge rocks along the path. It was evident that he was going to cross paths with someone very strong near the end of this tournament. Now, he would have to deal with the weakest links for the time being.
"Hey you," a booming voice roared suddenly.
"Hm?" Saitama hummed, turning around.
Cracking his knuckles, Botamo was right in front of him, with a confident smile on his lips, cracking his fingers. "Fight me, it would be a pleasure."
"A bear? I wouldn't want to insult you, but you look a lot like a kid's cartoon character I've seen before. You happen to be friends with a pig and a tiger, by any chance?" the Caped Baldy inquired, as the giant bear's smile faded and formed into a frown.
"Um, are you gonna answer my question?"
"No. I have a better idea, come and hit me!" Botamo taunted, using his middle finger to point to himself and moving it up and down, telling him to come while teasing him.
"Fine, just remember, this was your idea," Saitama warned the Sixth Universe ursine, and immediately went to punch him in the gut, with the intent to push him out of the ring in three hits or less, but once his fist came in contact, Botamo didn't budge an inch. It was as if he completely absorbed his punch. But Botamo wasn't wearing a cocky or confident smirk, or any sort of smirk. The two warriors could only display surprise in their eyes.
For Saitama, it was that this bear was able to withstand his punches.
For Botamo, he actually somewhat felt the power of that punch. He discreetly rubbed his stomach, wondering just how strong was this baldy.
"NO WAY! HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE MY STRONGEST! HE CAN'T LOST TO A BEAR!" Quitela cried, while Champa chuckled and sneered. "Sorry, mousie. Looks like you're gonna lose your so-called trump card! If I were you, I would feel more anxious about his weaker teammates! GO GET 'EM BOTAMO!"
"Woah! Finally, someone strong enough to not get knocked back," Saitama asserted, while still displaying his jaded gaze. "Looks like this will get interesting."
In response, Botamo spat out multiple balls of energy that hit Saitama full force. Seeing only smoke in front of him, the bear stopped attacking before chuckling. That's what that idiot gets for taking him lightly.
Yet his smile disappeared as soon as he saw Saitama's silhouette right in front of him.
"WHAT!?"
"You're kidding me, I thought you were strong. You may be enduring but your attacks are rather weak," Saitama simply stated..
Then finding himself in front of Botamo, he was about give him another punch, but the bear knew how outmatched he was, and began to make his retreat, but Saitama wasn't going to let him get away. Increasing the pace while using his Consecutive Normal Punches, he started to make Botamo seem like a punching bag, while Saitama was the boxer.
Gritting his teeth, Botamo could only feel his feet skidding on the ground, as he unwittingly stepped back. This was absolutely inconceivable. How can a little human like him hit me so hard to force me to back down?! He thought.
"DO SOMETHING, YOU GIGANTIC FOOL!" Champa yelled at him. "FIGHT BACK QUICKLY OR HE'S GONNA PUSH YOU OUT OF THE RING!"
Having no other choice then, Botamo focused all of his energy and ended up rejecting a beam of green energy that moved towards Saitama. Seeing him coming, the bald hero moved at the speed of sound and managed to dodge him without difficulty before finding himself a few yards away from Botamo.
Breathing heavily then, Botamo couldn't hide his anger and the pain he was feeling.
"After all those punches, are you still standing?" Saitama wondered, looking at him in surprise. "Well done! I am impressed."
Clenching his fist, he took an attacking stance, reading himself to launch a Serious Punch before asserting.
"I think that's enough of the warm up round, don't ya think?"
That won't work on me! Botamo retorted, taking the trouble, however, to contract his abs.
Hitting the yellow bear, Saitama created a huge shock wave in his stomach. Screaming in pain, his opponent created a trickle of saliva, showing that he had sensed the attack, despite his body's resistance. Throwing back, he stepped back about ten meters, before stopping, and putting one knee on the ground.
"H-how?" he wanted to know.
"If I understand correctly, your aptitude still has a limit," Saitama remarked.
Seeing Botamo baring his fangs at him, in anger, Saitama saw he was right. Yet even so, Botamo still believed that no physical attack could hurt him the least.
"So, all I have to do is hit you hard enough to send you out of the ring. I think one more Serious Punch should finish the job."
Immediately he ran towards Botamo.
At first scared, Botamo suddenly ends up smiling cruelly, before affirming.
"It's my turn to show you what I can do "
Hitting him in the stomach then, Saitama couldn't help but wince, as he felt as if he was hitting an iron wall. It had nothing to do with the bear's soft belly anymore.
"Now what?" he wondered, stepping back.
Botamo chuckled. He knew this fighter was unaware of the Tournament of Destroyers against the Seventh a very long time ago. That's why Lord Champa trained him and his teammates like never before so they wouldn't fall again so easily. Now, not only could his body absorb his blows, but he could use it's power to convert into energy, covering his body, very similar to a second layer of skin.
Pointed his finger, he declared.
"To put it simply, the more powerful my opponent, the better my defense will be. I guess second skins really are helpful." However, the downside is that he couldn't continue to absorb energy while using this technique. It didn't matter though! He knew Saitama would get tired and run out of breath sooner or later.
"In this case, I just have to break your defense," Saitama cried.
"Oh really?" Botamo wondered.
Suddenly raising his fist, Saitama replaced his jaded look with a more serious one.
"I'm going to break your so-called second skin and hit you so hard that your body will only be able to absorb a small proportion of my punching force! The rest you will cash it and suffer its power. "
"Tsss! Don't say stupid things! Even though your attack is powerful, it can do nothing against my supreme defense! All that you will happen in the end will only tire you out."
"CONSECUTIVE NORMAL PUNCH!"
Hitting Botamo again, Saitama wasn't afraid to smash his fists against Botamo's body, who didn't even recoil.
"What, is that all? For me, these are just mosquito bites."
Yet, to his surprise, he noticed Saitama's face, only to see a new emotion on his face: a hint of fun. The fight Saitama was doing was far from the fight to the death he had always dreamed of. Still, he didn't have the faintest memory of the last time he had been able to hit someone as much as he did now. Each of his punches were powerful and yet Botaro continued to take them.
Yes! I'm starting to feel something! My fists are starting to hurt and my body is getting warmer! But I need more! Even more! Saitama thought.
"GOODBYE!" Botamo roared, pretending to hit him with a punch. But to his shock, Saitama grabbed his hand it with both of his own before spinning around. Carry on then, Botamo found himself spinning, at top speed, until he was dizzy.
Throwing it into the air, Saitama made it fly overhead, before jumping into the air to follow it. Having lost his bearings, Botamo saw with horror the bald man rushing at him before overtaking him. Finding himself on top of his body, Saitama punched him again, causing Botamo to fall into the center of the arena, which he crashed into with a huge crash.
Champa looked horrified, while Quitela once again, regained his cocky and confident attitude. "What did I tell you!? This is the guy that beat Boros, he can't lose to a ball of blubber!"
Getting up nonetheless, while his body was covered in debris, Botamo heard Saitama drop gracefully in front of him, ready to continue. This guy is not normal!
"You make this fight a good training," Saitama then assured, smiling a little. "Let's keep this. going"
Then, Saitama ran to Botamo. Only able to get back into a defensive position to take his blows, Botamo braced himself, when suddenly his body became cold.
"What..."
Suddenly trapped in a huge block of ice, the bear could not but be horrified, seeing Saitama hit the ice. Not being able to stop in time, Saitama was as surprised as he was, hitting a huge block of ice. Unable to withstand the force of its blow, the block of ice propelled itself and crossed the entire arena, only to find itself above the void, and sank into nothingness, with Botamo still inside.
"THAT'S IMPOSSIBEEEEEEEE!"
"Contestant Botamo of the Sixth Universe has been eliminated," stated the Grand Minister.
"NOO! DAMMIT!" Champa horrified, as the block of ice containing Botaro appeared near him.
Frozen, when with him, Saitama looked at the fist with which he had just hit the block of ice, before realizing what was happening. Without realizing it, he had just ended a rather great source of entertainment.
Being so frustrated, he glanced in the direction of a boulder where a girl, with a halo on top of her head was sitting. The latter, just looking at the hero, chuckled.
"You look very strong to me, Saitama."
"Alright, spill it, who are you?" Saitama asked him angrily. "And why did you interfere in my fight? "
"Call me Esdeath! I already know I can't kill you, so beating your ass to death will provide as a perfect alternative! MAHABADMA!"
