Hello ya weirdos and welcome back to the dumpster fire of a story. I managed to get this chapter out at a reasonable time, didn't I? I worked my butt off during nights to get this to you lot. So ya better appreciate me okay?

I'm kidding but I hope you enjoy the chapter. Maybe the next chapter would be the start of the U.A stuff or a shorter chapter with the letters coming in idk man I make stuff up as I go along. Alright, stay good people.

Night shadows the city of Musutafu, a time to settle down and fall into a slumber, a way to forget your worries. However, for a certain set of teens, the night was just beginning. Shinjiro, Kendo, and Shiozaki are out eating dinner at a nearby restaurant, having ditched the WacMonalds for a heavier meal to celebrate getting through the entrance exams.

"Thanks for taking us out for this Shinjiro," Kendo said.

"You're making it sound like it's a date" Shinjiro teased which ended with Kendo slightly blushing. "Anyway, it's nothing. I'm not paying with my own money after all"

"What do you mean not your money?" Shiozaki asked.

"Shit, I might have blown it," Shinjiro thought. "Uh, I mean...it's my monthly allowance so technically it's my parents' money"

"Oh, ok"

Shinjiro sighed. "I can't have them find out about my living conditions. Plus the fact I'm living off Nezu. If they find out it's gonna all spiral downward with my backstory reveal! And then it'll spiral downward even more!"

"Um, Shinjiro-san? Are you okay?" Kendo seemed to snap him out of his spiral leaving him a bit confused.

"O- Oh yea, I was just thinking...a- about whether we'll pass the entrance exams or not!" Shinjiro decided to change the subject.

"I sincerely hope we all do pass," Shiozaki said. Surprisingly, the tactic of stupidity worked and both of them seem to be moving on.

"We did our best. We can only hope that we do get in, " Kendo said.

"Both of you guys did really well, you're sure to get in. I mean I saw the trail of dead robots you guys left behind, well just Shiozaki but I'm sure you destroyed it with your giant hands Kendo." Shinjiro said with sudden sparkles in his eyes. "*Ahem* Sorry, I fanboy whenever I see amazing"

Both of them giggled. "I'm sure you did good as well," Kendo replied.

Shinjiro had a reluctant look plastered on his face. "Eh, I don't really think so. I mean I beat like one robot, that totally isn't enough"

"But you did save those people, that has to count for something right?"

"Maybe, maybe not. Maybe I really am not cut out for his whole hero thing after all" He leaned back in his chair.

"It doesn't mean you give up!" Kendo had slammed her fist down onto the table, attracting people from nearby tables to stare. "You can't be a hero if you just give up without even trying. Have a little more faith in yourself and your own abilities, you can't save people if you can't save yourself!"

Shinjiro listened intently to her mini-speech before bringing his hands behind his head. "Now I'm a hundred percent sure you're passing. You're a badass, wise, and caring. You're like the big sister I never had " He grinned.

"E- Eh?! N- no that's not-" Kendo said flustered.

"As expected of Kendo-san," Shiozaki added.

"You too Shiozaki-san?!"

"Sorry for the wait!" A voice called out. The waiter had brought their food and placed it down in front of them.

"Oho! Food's here!" Shinjiro marveled at the delicious salmon dish he had ordered. "Citrus crusted salmon cooked with fine wine served with magnificent sides! You guys hiring?" His statement gained a giggle or two by the servers.

"Are you into cooking Shinjiro-san?" Shiozaki asked, cutting up her steak.

"Totally! Y'know, I used to cook all the time for my family and-" Shinjiro cut his own sentence off and reminisced about his times with his family. Kendo noticed his handshake ever so slightly.

"Something happen Shinjiro-san?" She asked.

He shook his head. "Nah, it's nothing. Come on let's enjoy our food before it gets cold" He said before cutting into the salmon. The trio continued to chat while they ate, each strengthening their bonds with each other.

Outside, stood a man dressed in all black atop a nearby rooftop.

"So, you've chosen this route, haven't you? No matter, it shall not interfere with the plans...if anything it would further advance it. Don't you think so? Sire?"

A deep voice spoke through the man's earpiece.

"Once he is complete, we shall execute phase three. But for now, we wait."

"How long sire?" The man asked, his black coat flapped in the wind.

"As long as it takes," The voice answered. "I will not have my years of work go to waste."

After a very pleasant dinner, Shinjiro insisted that he would pay for the food despite the girls wanting to chip in a few dollars. They decided to wait outside the restaurant as he was paying.

"Hey Shiozaki, what do you think of Shinjiro?" Kendo asked.

"He seems nice, it doesn't look like he has any bad intentions either" Shiozaki looked at Shinjiro through the window as he was waiting in line. "Why do you ask Kendo-san?"

"I don't know. I just feel like something's up with him."

"Why do you say that?" Shiozaki asked, confused at Kendo's sudden accusation.

"I can't say, it's more of a gut feeling you know? He's nice but he'd try to switch topics whenever we ask him things" Kendo put a hand to her chin.

"So you noticed it too. I think that maybe he just doesn't want to tell us about his private life since I guess we did pry a little bit into it"

"I guess we did but-"

"Well apparently the guy in front of me wanted to fill out a check or something. Either way that took a while but we're finally here" Shinjiro walked out of the restaurant looking down at the receipt. "But yeesh, 150 bucks for three people? What did you guys order?"

"I remember you telling us to "pick anything you want, it's my treat!" Kendo mimicked Shinjiro.

"Yea, but I didn't mean go ham on the food. You're lucky I still have some money left" He deadpanned while putting back his credit card. "Thank the lord Nezu gave me this"

"Well, it's getting late so I'm going to head out now," Shinjiro said.

"Wait!" Shiozaki pulled out her phone. "Maybe we can meet up like this again"

"Sounds good to me," Kendo pulled out her own phone.

"I guess it can't be helped," Shinjiro chuckled as he pulled out his and they all exchanged numbers.

"See you all soon!" Kendo said.

"I sincerely hope we can see each other in U.A" Shiozaki said as she started walking away.

"The next time I'm seeing you will be at the top," Shinjiro pointed to the sky.

And with that, they went in opposite directions...well one of them at least. Kendo and Shinjiro were walking the same way all while not making eye-contact out of embarrassment, after the loud goodbyes.

After about a minute or two of silence, Shinjiro spoke up.

"So the soon came earlier than expected huh?" He teased.

"Shut up!" Kendo shouted as flustered as one could be. "How can you be so shameless!"

"Heh, I'm just built different. Speaking of which, what were you and Shiozaki talking about?"

"H- huh? What do you mean?"

"I mean, it's something about me, isn't it? I kept seeing you and her stealing quick glances at me." He gasped. "Must it be? You're into me!"

"W- what?!" Kendo choked. "How can you think of that, you idiot!" She said after slapping him hard across the cheek.

"Whaaaat? Just cause I bluntly stated it doesn't mean you can- oh right I see what I did wrong. Sorry, sometimes I tend to say things without thinking" Shinjiro sheepishly replied.

"Ahem, anyway that's not what we were talking about," Kendo corrected herself. "I'm not going to try and beat around the bush. *Deep breath* To put it simply, I don't trust you"

Shinjiro raised a brow before sighing. "I can tell you've had your guard up for a while now. At first, I thought you were just tense from the exams but you're being a little too tense around me don't you think?"

Shinjiro noticed her tense up even more after. "You really think I was going to pull something shady?"

"N- No, it's not that. It's just that you've been oddly friendly especially when you invited me and Shiozaki out"

"Eh, blame it on a certain rodent for calling it 'socialization'" He said, making air quotations.

Elsewhere, a certain rodent sneezed.

Kendo had a question mark over her head but Shinjiro quickly dismissed it. "But the real reason?"

"What do you mea-"

"I know you don't want to be rude, but thanks to a certain rodent forcing me to study the psychology of a human I can probably spot someone keeping something they don't want to say out loud," Shinjiro said as he recalled the one night where Nezu wouldn't let him rest and continued teaching him.

"That's..." Kendo started.

"Keeping it to yourself would only hurt you and me more so...out with it will ya?" Shinjiro stated bluntly.

"Jeez, I was going to say it until you interrupted me," Kendo said, leading a dogeza style Shinjiro to appear in front of her. "And get off the ground!"

She cleared her throat. "Anyway… it does feel like you're hiding a lot of things though"

"We just met, I don't want to be giving away private information about my life. Plus, aren't you hiding things too?"

"Not like that… I did some digging"

"Huh? What do you mean by that?"

"There were a few things that I was suspicious about. You dodged most of our questions about where you went to school and such, usually it's a simple question and most people would answer it and move on. Second, that credit card you're holding," She said pointing to his pocket. "It's a U.A. issued one"

"How'd you even find that out? Did you just miraculously search U.A. credit card on google,"

"No, it says it right there on the card"

"Wh-" He stumbled as he brought out his wallet and took out the card. There it was in shiny bolded letters, "U.A.". "What the fuck Nezu, it's like you wanted me to expose my identity" He deadpanned at it.

"Finally, the most damning piece of evidence is that...you never told us your last name"

Shinjiro took a step back. "Damn she's terrifying!" He started thinking of ways to bail on her but the evidence was solid. He did never disclose any information that would make him seem like some wanted criminal or some foreigner who ran away from home. But the dumbest thing he had ever done was forgetting to give himself a last name. He was beaten and figured out the best course of action.

He let out a sigh. "Right you caught me. It turns out I'm… a secret ninja who's been hiding in the sewers and brought up by a red panda who's a master at kung fu" He brought down his hoodie to cover his head, leaving shadows over his eyes.

"Real funny Shinjiro" Kendo deadpanned.

He nervously chuckled. "Heh, right...anyway I'm sorry but I can't tell you. It'd jeopardize everything I'm working for"

"Which is?" Kendo gave him a stern glare.

"Oh god, please don't look at me like that. It's bad enough you're a big sis, but a disapproving mother as well?"

"Could we please. Get back to the topic at hand" Cross-veins popped up on her face.

"Look, I will tell you. Not now, not until you're under some protection at U.A or when you're a capable hero"

"Is the person after you really that dangerous?" She questioned.

"I don't know...that's what scares me," Shinjiro put his hands in his pockets. He looked down at the ground before reaching out to grab Kendo's hand.

"H- hey! W-wait!"

"Come on, we gotta get you home to your family before they think you're out doing the cahoots with some random guy you just met" He said, not looking back at her.

"Shut up! Just please stop it!" She broke out a mad blush and covered her face with one hand as she was being dragged by Shinjiro, who was smirking behind his hoodie.

After bringing Kendo back to her house, he went straight home. As to why he had done so so fast...well that's another story for another time.

Her dad was worried about her so he immediately opened the door once he saw her, and Shinjiro had to dive into a random bush to avoid being seen. Safe to say, he's walking back home with rose thorns in him.

"'Lay low' he said, 'don't get into any trouble' he said, 'don't die' he said." He internally cursed a specific rodent. "Well, putting my butt into U.A opened a whole new can of worms"

He plucked off the last rose thorn as he reached his apartment building. He thanked the on-duty guard who opened the door for him before making his way to the elevator. He hit the button and waited for the elevator...time feels slow when you're not doing anything doesn't it?

Real soon, he's standing in front of his apartment door slowly unlocking it. Opening it up, he was hit with cold air and saw that the lights were on.

"An intruder?"

He held his keys firmly in-between the webs of his fingers and proceeded with caution. However, his momentary fear was replaced with a slightly pissed-off look when it turns out the 'intruder' was none other than Nezu waving at him from the couch.

"Really Nezu? You almost gave me a heart attack," Shinjiro calmed down as he placed his belongings in their proper places.

"You were out for quite some time, and you never answered my calls either," The rodent said.

"That's cause I turned my phone to silent, I didn't want you suddenly calling in the middle of the exam saying good luck like a parent" He turned to Nezu who had a smile plastered on his face. "You were totally going for that weren't you?"

"You saw right through me" He laughed. "Now, I must ask...what were you doing out there for so long?"

"Aaaand there's the parent in him, looks like I can't lie my way out of this one...again"

"I was hanging out with some people I met at the entrance exams," He said. "We helped each other during it and I thought might as well treat them for everything"

"Well that's real nice of you Shinjiro-kun" Nezu smiled.

"You did tell me...to be nice to the people you trust"

Nezu smiled at the fact that Shinjiro was now making new friends and slowly leaving behind his past self. He cleared his throat before getting too off topic. "Now, as for the reason I am here...is to tell you your exam results a little earlier than the others"

"Any particular reason? Or are you just going to beat around the bush and NOT tell me I failed"

"Now why would you think that?" Nezu asked.

"Cause..." Shinjiro paused. "I didn't do anything, took down a giant robot that doesn't even give me anything"

"Who says, it wouldn't?"

"...You did something didn't you?" Shinjiro looked at the rodent suspiciously.

"I'm not allowed to interfere with the exams...even if I had a special recommendation" Nezu leaned forward.

"But you would have some kind of influence behind the scenes, were you not?" He raised a brow.

"I have done nothing of the sorts" Nezu sipped his tea. "However...the committee has come to a final decision. You, Shinjiro, will be studying to be a full-time hero at U.A!"

"Come on, give me a break. First, you take me in and the next thing you say is that I'm in U.A" Shinjiro took a moment before the realization hit him. "You're not kidding?!"

"Of course I'm not, especially when the exam wasn't just destroying robots. There was another category called the rescue points, the more people you save the more points you get"

"And a transcript saying 'I survived the U.A entrance exams'?" Shinjiro sarcastically remarked.

"Of course if anything happened then the pro heroes would have stepped in but... thanks to your heroic efforts, you managed to garner 69 rescue points! Plus that one extra robot you smashed!"

"Why 69?"

"I thought it'd be funny!" Nezu grinned while Shinjiro let out a groan.

"Sometimes, I think I'm even more mature than you"

"Yeah, well I like to lighten the mood especially if I'm taking care of a child"

Shinjiro rolled his eyes before watching the rodent get off his seat.

"That was all I was here for so now I can get out of your skin. I sincerely hope that this is your chance to start anew. To have more friends. To have family. This is your hero academia Shinjiro-kun" Nezu said before walking out of the apartment and closing the door behind him.

Shinjiro watched him leave as he stood there with a face that was still trying to take it all in.

"I made it..." He said out loud.

"I-I-I-I-" He let out an exhale of happiness. "I made it!"

Words couldn't explain how euphoric he was right now. To jumping on the couch and splashing himself with water to convince himself it wasn't a dream. Was it a dream?

It wasn't.

After a bit of time soaking it all in and causing himself chaos around the house, Shinjiro collapsed on the sofa looking a bit red.

"I did it huh? Who knew...this piece of trash actually getting somewhere in life. That's a sentence I'd never thought I'd say" He laid there on the sofa for a bit before shooting upright. "Shoot! I forgot about Midoriya!"

He immediately started texting the boy. He was too caught up in the recent developments he had forgotten to check on the boy he had last seen waving at him before the exams. It took a while for Midoriya to respond back but when he did, it wasn't through a text message.

Shinjiro subconsciously hit the answer button and held the phone up to his ear.

"Hi, Shinjiro-san sorry to disturb you in the middle of the night!" A voice loudly rang through the phone nearly damaging Shinjiro's ears.

"Jeez I know you're excited but calm down Midoriya. And hey by the way"

"Oh sorry. I might have accidentally hit the call button when I was just trying to send a message" He sheepishly replied.

"So that's why you were jumpy...wait how'd that even happen in the first place?" Shinjiro comically shouted.

"I don't know...anyway, I need to ask you something. How were the exams?"

"It was...different from my usual normal life. It was nothing special though, smashed one robot. Then a giant one"

"Oh, you too?!"

"What do you mean 'you too'?" Shinjiro perked up.

"Oh, I- uh...may have smashed that giant zero-pointer with One For All."

"That's great! How was it? You know feeling the power of All Might," He asked.

"Well...it didn't go all that great. I kind of...broke my arm using it..."

"You what!" Shinjiro shouted before noticing his surroundings and softened his voice so as to not get noise complaints. "You what?"

"Turns out my body isn't ready to hold One For All's power yet. I'm not like All Might who can just punch and have everything explode, if anything it's the opposite of what he's doing"

"Opposite of what he's doing?" Shinjiro put a hand to his chin. "What if...and I say it with a what-if. Maybe we can actually do the opposite of what All Might does"

"What do you mean Shinjiro-san?"

"It's kind of hard to just tell you it and not show you it. We have some time before we get our results, so maybe we can meet up sometime tomorrow to work on it?"

"Sure, that would be nice"

"Meet me at the beach attttt 8 am, make sure you wear your tracksuit"

"Alright I will, have a good night Shinjiro-san"

"Good night Midoriya," Shinjiro said before ending the call. He sighed as he walked over to his desk in his not-so-furnished room. He flipped over some pages until he found an empty one and started drawing diagrams on it.

"If focusing all the power on one specific location would equal his location popping...what if we focus it everywhere? Or maybe we could channel a small amount of power and pour it into a specific location. Would that equal a busting?" He thought before realizing something and sifted through the mess of papers he piled up. "I could implement it into my suit as well! Spread and focus the power into a spot...yes...this could work."

~{The next day}~

Shinjiro was seen standing in the middle of the beach, silently waiting for Midoriya to come. He had gotten there minutes earlier and had already set up all the equipment he had brought to help with Midoriya's quirk drawback.

He was strangely wearing a trenchcoat that flapped in the gentle breeze. If he had added a hat he would have looked like a Ninja Turtle in disguise. But unfortunately, he wasn't wearing one.

He checked his phone for the time and saw that barely a minute had gone by.

"God I'm so hot, even though there's a breeze I still can't feel it" He sighed. As to why he was feeling so hot will be revealed in a minute as Midoriya was now running towards the teen now.

"Good morning Shinjiro-san," Midoriya said, panting from the run. There the kid was, wearing the tracksuit Shinjiro had requested although it's right sleeve was missing. The torn edges on the shoulder meant brute force ripped through it.

"Oh, this?" Midoriya nervously chuckled. "That was the One for all effects on me"

"Really? Hmm," He studied the arm that had caused such chaos in the exams. At least, that's what he heard. It was visually toned with a lot of muscles that could make anyone not believe a cinnamon bun could be this ripped.

"Umm...Shinjiro-san could you not stare? It's kind of embarrassing," Midoriya said before Shinjiro pulled back.

"Oh right, sorry" Shinjiro fixed himself before getting too lost in studying Midoriya's arm.

"Now...you might be wondering why I decided to meet up with you this early in the morning and at the beach of all places. First off, we're gonna be working on your quirk and testing some possibilities to stop the y'know whole exploding arm thing, no guarantee you'll come out of this arm free though..."

Midoirya flinched hearing that he'll have to be testing One For All and potentially breaking his arms. He looked down at his right arm and focused on the scars that had developed the first time he used it. He shook in fear in the fact that he could lose his arms using too much power. Shinjiro noticed and placed an arm on his shoulder.

"Don't worry Midoriya, we'll find a way," Shinjiro reassured him.

"Oh! And before I forget, we're going to run out of these punching bags and stuff once you've smashed through them. So I decided to piggyback off of your training and test my new suit!"

He threw off his coat and in place was a metallic suit wrapped around his body. He was fully covered in it, save for the head, with plates mashed and screwed together, and a special, single blue light in the middle of his chest. Midoriya's eyes immediately sparkled, he had never seen something like this before.

"I- Is this for your quirk?" He asked, pointing at the blue light.

"Yes and no, this blue light manages my energy and life gauge. Usually, I'd have a helmet to monitor the energy and life but since I don't have one yet, this is the simplest way to know if the suit's running out. Each piece of the suit was provided by U.A. and I spent hours cultivating this prototype which you are going to use your power on"

"A- Are you sure?!" Midoriya exclaimed. "Won't your suit break or anything?"

"That's what I'm here to test out. This is just a bunch of metals mashed together with a thick sponge in between so I shouldn't feel much pain. The punching objects though….yea they might not live to see the light of day"

Shinjiro clapped his hands together. "Now! Shall we start the experiment?"

For the past hour or two, both Shinjiro and Midoriya have been testing out the powers of One For All and how it affected Midoriya's body. It turns out the raw strength in its power can only be held by someone who had been training to harness the power for a long time. Midoriya, however, had only trained the bare minimum to reduce his arms being blown to atoms.

But of course, you all already know this. By the time you have finished reading this message, Shinjiro and Midoriya have finished a muttering storm and gotten back to testing.

"One For All Delaware Smash!" Midoirya shouted before flicking his fingers and shooting out a powerful force of air at a training dummy. Said training dummy wasn't a dummy anymore but a pile of sand. However, Midoirya was busy clutching his fingers in visible pain to notice.

"So fingers don't work either huh," Shinjiro said jotting notes down. "However, can be very effective as a long-ranged attack"

He looked up to see that all of the training dummies and sandbags he had taken beforehand were all reduced to shreds. He sighed before putting down his notebook and walked toward the cinnamon bun.

"Looks like we're out of training dummies. You know what this means, right Midoriya?"

He looked at him and gave him a nod. Shinjiro nodded back and positioned himself, back facing toward the sea. Worst-case scenario is that fish could die and a mini tsunami would be created. Oh, and Shinjiro would be thrown into the ocean but we don't worry about that.

"Whenever you're ready!" He shouted.

Midoriya shook his hands and closed his eyes, raising his arms up and readying to flick another finger. Energy surged through him and went into his finger. It glowed and red lines surged through it as a charging up sound was heard, possibly from the pressure the finger was building up. He opened his eyes and let it rip, air forcefully flying through the air. It created a mini sonic boom that even pushed him back a few feet.

It was so fast that not even Shinjiro could tell when it was going to hit him. By the time it did, it was blowing him back at a high speed but while the initial blast was strong, the after-effects were less than that with Shinjiro being able to stand his ground and even push back a little bit. He slid across the sand taking the front of the attack head-on. He could hear metal dent and screws flying loose as he slid toward the sea. Real soon though, he managed to stop just before hitting the water.

He collapsed on one knee as the armor hissed and the blue light on his chest was now glowing a dark red. Waves slowly crashed into Shinjiro as he caught his breath.

"Shinjiro-san!" Midoriya ran up to him and helped him up, ignoring the pain in his finger. "Are you okay?"

"*Pant* Damn *pant* who knew that *pant* air could be so lethal" He looked down at his chest and saw it slightly steaming.

"I'm okay though, the armor took the brunt of it. Looks like I'll have to re-enforce it to make sure parts don't fall out again. But enough about me, how's your finger?"

"The same as the last one" Despite being in pain, Midoriya held up his hand to show the finger he had just used, being a dark red like the previous finger he used.

"Damn, that was just one finger and it was already powerful. I wonder how using the arms or legs would be like," He put a hand to his chin.

"NO!" Midoriya comically shouted. "We are NOT testing that again!"

"Hehe, I guess it can't be helped then. We should probably get you to Recovery Girl to heal up those fingers. While you do that I can go and fix this"

Shinjiro tapped a few buttons on his wrist and soon the armor he was wearing hissed and started to unscrew itself. Under revealed a very sweaty Shinjiro wearing a plain white top and pants.

"Woahh," Midoriya awed. "How long did it take you to do all this?"

"A while, I've been cooped up in the lab for so long I don't even remember. Power Loader did come in and help me...I think"

"You know, you probably shouldn't push yourself too hard," Midoriya said while trying to pack his things. However, the pain in his fingers was still hurting him so Shinjiro went over to him and helped him instead.

"I get that a lot. But I tend to not really listen to it since my brain just overworks itself way too much"

"I need to take you away from the workshop from time to time," Midoriya joked. They started a fast walk toward U.A so the child wouldn't be in any more pain.

"Real soon, you're going to need to actually pry me off the workbench. I'm going to be working so much I don't think I'll see the light of day," Shinjiro continued.

"I honestly hope it wouldn't come to that"

Real soon they were in Recovery Girl's office healing Midoriya's fingers.

"You two are lucky I'm in today," She said clearly pissed off. She had just kissed both his fingers and it was starting to heal already.

"It's barely been a week since the exams and you're already gone breaking your fingers from your own quirk!"

As she was scolding Midoriya and with the child apologizing profusely, Shinjiro was busy tinkering with his tech and tuning out all the noise behind him. Real soon, he found himself getting smacked in the back of the head by a newspaper Recovery girl was holding.

"And you! You were with him! Why didn't you stop him from doing all these things!"

"Oh sorry," He said it nonchalantly before turning back to his tech.

"Shinjiro apologize properly!" Midoriya scolded. He turned around to face the doctor and bowed, muttering the words "sorry for the trouble". That seemed to have somewhat quelled her anger.

"Honestly you need to get your quirk sorted cause you can't be a hero if you're the one getting hurt instead," She told Midoriya.

He bowed. "Yes ma'am. I'll be sure to take care of myself in the future"

He got up from his seat before feeling a little drowsy. Putting a hand on the railing to brace himself, he turned to Shinjiro.

"Do you mind helping me? The healing effects are kicking in," Shinjiro placed his tech inside of his pocket before getting up. He slung Midoriya's arm over his shoulder and started helping him walk.

"Thanks again, Recovery Girl," Shinjiro thanked as he and Midoriya walked out of the room.

"Kids these days," She sighed. "But...that's not necessarily a bad thing"

Outside, Shinjiro and Midoriya were walking through the halls and learning the building layouts.

"Do you mind if I just visit the workshop for a little bit?" Shinjiro asked.

"Maybe later, I'd like to take a nap now," Midoriya said sleepily.

"Oh...right...sorry. I'll bring back you home now"

Shinjiro helped Midoriya to the front gates of U.A before being greeted by an unexpected fellow.

"All Might! What are you doing here?"

There was the almighty hero in...a car? He waved at them before getting out. Of course, he would be in his skinny form and wearing baggy clothes on him cause why would a buff All Might drive a car.

"I should be the one asking you two that," He said.

"Midoriya here broke both his fingers so we asked Recovery Girl to heal it," Shinjiro put simply.

"Only because you asked me to! Don't forget that!" Midoriya cleared up.

"What do you mean you asked him to? Young Shinjiro are you secretly-"

"No, it's nothing like that. If I was I'd probably break all of him"

"Shinjiro-san!" Midoriya panicked.

He laughed."Don't worry, it won't happen….yet. Anyway, we were trying to control One For All but it seems like even the tiniest blast breaks his body"

"I see...it probably because I had enough time to train his body to get used to One For All and that it was to the point where none of his limbs would explode," Toshinori said.

"I deduced so. We just need to figure out how to make sure that Midoriya doesn't destroy his own limbs again. The poor child's going to have battle scars even before he gets in a battle!"

"I'm not a child you know, I'm only a year younger than you," Midoriya crossed his arms...well arm.

"Yea, an arm-breaking child. You still need to be babysat at this rate. As I was saying before," He said, turning toward Toshinori. "You got any ideas on how we can negate the backlash?"

"Hmmm..." Toshinori tapped his chin. "How about he just punches slower?"

"Are you braindead?" Shinjiro deadpanned. "*Sigh* I can't believe this guy. The wisest speeches about world peace and such, yet still can't use his brain"

Toshinori chuckled and rubbed the back of his head. "Hehe, sorry"

"Oh right," Shinjiro remembered. "Toshinori do you mind taking him back home? He's still under the effects of the healing"

"Ah yes, I'll take him back," Toshinori helped Midoriya get in his car and closed the door. Before he could go to the driver's seat, Shinjiro grabbed his wrist.

"Make sure to take care of him"

"I will and I'll do my best for him...as a mentor" Toshinori smiled.

"As a father as well?"

"Urk!"

"Come on, don't deny it. You like being a father figure to someone don't you" Shinjiro grinned.

"Hehe, I guess so. I'll see you in a bit, Young Shinjiro," Toshinori said before getting in his car and starting it before driving away.

Shinjiro took a deep breath before pulling out the tech he had in his pocket. Since he had stashed his entire suit in the workshop before taking Midoriya to Recover Girl's office, all he had left was the blue light piece. Unfortunately, it was off, so it was just a translucent circle piece with some wires coming out of it. He took a look at the wires before deciding to rip it off the light piece and tossing it in a nearby trash bin.

"Well it was supposed to monitor life signs but it was just a simple light up." He felt a little down knowing that the only "quirk" he had was simple strength enhancements. For all, he knew that could be the only thing he had.

"I guess if I'm going to compare to him...I'll have to perfect the suit," He told himself before walking back into U.A.

~{5 hours later}~

Shinjiro decided to go home hours earlier due to Midoriya calling him to "get out of the workshop". He bought a cup of ramen from the nearby grocery store and made his way home. It wasn't too eventful, just another day of tinkering with his suit and making sure it was ready for action.

He was sitting on the couch and slurping his noodles while also jotting down notes on how to improve his suit. The television wasn't showing anything interesting so he just decided to switch it off out of boredom. He picked his phone and started scrolling through random feeds hoping to gain some kind of inspiration. That was until he got a text from a certain Ayane, who hasn't seen since that one night when he saved her.

Ayane: Hey, I wanted to check in with you.

Shinjiro: I'm surprised you still remember me.

Ayane: *Rolling eye emoji* Of course I'd remember the guy who stole my prey.

Shinjiro: I know you mean saved. And you're welcome btw

Ayane: That's not what I want to talk about. I want to know if you've done the entrance exams.

Shinjiro: Clearly, I probably smashed it out of the park too.

Ayane: I heard that U.A got a bunch of new recruits they're including in the hero programs this year. Especially when a few of them smash giant zero-pointer robots.

Shinjiro: You heard about it?

Ayane: It's been the talk about the 2nd and 3rd years. Apparently, someone leaked the information amongst the school, almost everyone knows.

"Could it be him? No, it can't be him. That'd be the stupidest thing ever" Shinjiro thought.

Shinjiro: Hmm, well good for them making the headlines.

Ayane: Anyway, I need to bounce. I hope you get into U.A…..hero.

After sending that last message Ayane went offline. Shinjiro just smirked to himself before sending one last text.

Shinjiro: Thanks love :3

He turned off his phone and took his bowl of ramen, which he finished a while ago, into the sink. It was just another day in Shinjiro's life. And tomorrow would be the same.

"SParE Me THe DEtaiLs. JuSt get IT DoNe." He interrupted him.

"Yes sir." He said before getting to work as soon as he could. The man stood in front of the tank and grinned, marveling at what he had created.
