Guess who's back. Back again...yea I'm not doing that until I've actually been gone for like a couple months but hopefully that won't happen. But we're back!

And uh spoiler warning, boring chapter ahead so feel free to skip it if you like. But to those who did stay, enjoy the chapter! Man's not going to be publishing any new chapters any time soon (That's what you say every time now get to the chapter asshole)

Alright alright, start rolling!

A week has passed since Shinjiro and Midoriya completed the entrance exams. While Midoriya was anxiously waiting for his letter to arrive, Shinjiro on the other hand was bored out of his mind. Having Nezu spoil his acceptance into U.A. on the very day he had completed the exams had completely rid him of any anxiety.

He was currently lying down on the sofa, waiting for the day to pass by. Ever since Midoriya had forced him to not sit in the workshop 24/7, Shinjiro felt sluggish. You know the feeling of wanting to do something but you just don't want to do it cause you're lazy?

That's exactly what's happening right now. He sighed before getting up from his position and messaged Midoriya.

Shinjiro: Anything yet?

After a minute or two of waiting, Midoriya responded back.

Midoriya: Not yet

He switched off his phone and chucked it on the table before lying back down again. Now you might be wondering what's going on in that brain of his.

"I'm starting to crave chicken," He thought.

Meanwhile, over at the Midoriya household, we can see a nervous child nervously pacing up and down his bedroom. Since it was the weekend, his mind was free...freely occupied by anxiously waiting for that damn letter.

"Ok Izuku, think about something else for the time being," He thought. He reminisced on how time seemed to fly by. From meeting All Might and getting the chance to be his successor, to having Shinjiro train him into his quirk correctly albeit through weird methods. He had even met and made a new friend during the exams, although when he told Shinjiro about this he started going on a rant about love blooming.

He lightly blushed as he shook the thoughts out of his head. Deciding to check his phone for any hero activity happening, he saw that crime was peaking in certain areas of the city while most of it was at an all-time low. As he was scrolling through the feed some more, he thought more about Shinjiro.

A random boy who All Might had brought to training one day. A boy that would click instantly with him and become best friends. But Midoriya wondered to himself, where did he come from? Who was he? After all, most of the personal questions he had asked Shinjiro were deflected. He was most definitely hiding something...but what was it?

His thoughts, however, were cut off as his mother had burst through the bedroom door and waved a letter in her hands.

"It's here Izuku! It's finally here!" She screamed with delight.

"R- really?!" He dashed over to the door and his mother gave him the letter.

It said, "For Midoriya Izuku's eyes only"

He looked back up to his mom who looked nervous.

"L- let me know what it says," She said before closing the door.

Midoriya walked over to his desk and placed the letter on it. He sat down and readied his hands, although he never really moved it displaying his nervousness even more. He took some deep breaths before calming down and opened the letter very gently. He pulled out a small circular device before placing in the middle of the desk.

Out popped a holographic projection with the one and only All Might standing there in very formal wear.

"I am here, as a projection!" All Might's face was zoomed in for better effect. Still, Midoriya could hear his heroic and booming voice through the projection.

Midoriya froze in place with wide eyes, frantically looking at the letter and back at All Might.

"A- A- All Might! B- B- But you're here! As a projection! B- B- B- But this is a letter from U.A.! Does that mean-"

"You must be surprised! You see, I came into this town in order to become a teacher for U.A.!"

"A- All Might as a t-t-t-teacher?!" Midoriya stuttered.

"That means the free passes into U.A. How Shinjiro could spend long hours there. How he knows Nezu. How did I not realize!" He cried in realization.

"Now that, that's out of the way. The real reason for this letter! Izuku Midoriya while you did do well on the written test, you have unfortunately not scored any points on the practical"

This greatly upset Midoriya, who was on the verge of tears because despite all his training and all the hard work he had put into becoming All Might's successor...he had failed. He couldn't even pass the practical exam. He hung his head low as stray tears fell onto his lap.

"HOWEVER! I want you to take a look at this video real quick"

It was a video...of the girl he had met back at the exams. She was asking President Mic if she could give her points to him after what he had done back then. Midoriya was taken aback by her kindness, even forming a small smile at the corner of his lips.

All Might quickly came back on the projection.

"Now you see Young Midoriya, the practical wasn't just about destroying robots! There was a whole other category!"

"Eh?" Midoriya had to do a double-take on what he had heard.

"Rescue points!" All Might had forced himself into a dramatic pose.

"Rescue….points?"

"It's another basic thing we look at in this school! The whole reason for being a hero is saving lives after all! And because of that the judges have deemed your will of self-sacrifice to be of the highest level!"

The screen then changed to show the number of points he had accumulated.

"Hero points...60! You know what this means Young Midoriya?"

Midoriya could feel himself tear up once more, waiting for All Might to say one final thing.

"You pass..." All Might said his back was turned.

"Now come Young Midoriya." He turned around and raised a hand toward the screen.

"This is….your hero academia"

"YES!" Midoriya jumped out of his seat.

His mother, who was doing the exact same thing Midoriya was doing moments before the letter had arrived, was startled by a scream coming from his bedroom.

"I- Izuku? Are you alright?"

Out came a smiling Midoirya with tears and snot running down his face. The sight of him made her tear up as well, before pulling him into a tight embrace.

"Izuku!" She shouted, just like any proud mother would.

Shinjiro sat and stared at his phone in anticipation while waiting for Midoriya to respond. It had been a total of fifteen minutes since his last message was sent.

"Come on Midoriya… you got this," He silently prayed for the boy's good results. A full minute of silence went by before the phone started ringing leading him to quickly pick it up and answer the call.

"Midoriya!"

"AHH!" A thumping sound was heard from the other side.

"Mi- Midoriya?"

"Ow. I'm okay mom!" Shinjiro could roughly hear Midoriya's mother worried about what happened.

"What's up? What's happening?"

"Jeez, try not to scare me like that Shinjiro-san" Midoriya groaned.

"But you initiated the call, you should have expected me to pick up screaming something"

Midoriya sighed."There's no beating you. Anyway, I wanted to call you saying I passed!"

"YOU DID?!" Shinjiro shot up like a rocket while Midoriya had to hold the phone away from his ear to prevent it from popping.

"Y- yes I did...please stop screaming. I think my ear's going to blow up," Midoirya said weakly.

"O- oh sorry," He said before sitting back down. "So you actually passed? That's amazing! I knew you could do it!"

"A- Ah, thank you so much Shinjiro-san"

"So...how'd you do it? Was it that crazy stunt you pulled?"

Midoriya nervously chuckled. "I guess so"

"Hehe, I guess we both passed in terms of ridiculousness"

"You passed too?!" Midoriya shouted.

Shinjiro recoiled from the scream. "Shit I forgot I didn't tell him that!"

He composed himself before answering. "Ah, yes I too have also passed the exam"

"That means...we'll finally get to be heroes!"

"Right, we'll reach the top, and we'll show the world who the next top heroes will be! ...That's sounded cringy when I run it back"

Midoriya chuckled. "Speaking of which, did you hear that All Might's going to be a teacher at U.A?"

"He is?" Just then, Shinjiro's phone rang again. "Oh wait...speak of the devil. He's calling me right now"

"He is to me as well," Midoriya added.

"Wait how is that even possible? Doesn't he have only one phone?"

"I- I don't know but should we answer it? I mean it's still ringing after all"

"Uh sure yea just hit- oh nevermind it ended on my side. Hold on," He checked his phone for any other calls coming through. "Nevermind I just got a text saying we should meet up at the beach"

"Ah right. We should get going shouldn't we?"

"Yea, just make sure your mom doesn't find out and we should be fine, I'll see you over there," He said before ending the call and getting up from the couch. He grabbed a jacket hung over a chair and made his way out of the apartment.

Midoriya had run as fast as he could to reach the beach, avoiding obstacles along the way and not bothering to take the stairs, and jumped over the railing. However, Shinjiro had done the same thing at the same time so naturally, they comically collided with each other.

They both hit the ground with swirls in their eyes and groaning in pain. Midoriya's vision blurred as a skeletal man came into view.

"You alright young Midoriya?" Toshinori asked as he helped him up.

"Ugh...I'm- I'm okay," He responded.

"You should have said wakey wakey," Shinjiro groaned. "Actually don't wake me up, I'm going back to sleep"

"Come on, up and at em," Toshinori pulled Shinjiro up with whatever strength he had. Surprisingly the skeletal man was quite strong for his appearance.

"Anyway, I'm here to congratulate the both of you on passing the exam and getting accepted into U.A."

"Th- Thank you so much!" Midoriya bowed.

"Now, now let's not get so formal," Toshinori held up both of his hands. Midoriya eagerly took his high five with a giant smile on his face, while Shinjiro grinned as he took the high five in some sort of cool hand-off moment.

"Now, I've been meaning to ask. Is it true that you're a teacher for U.A?" Shinjiro questioned.

"Why yes, that is true! I'm sure Nezu had told you all about it and Midoriya had figured it all out from my message. Of course, I have been keeping this a secret from the rest of the school to make sure no one finds out about our connections. Only Nezu, Recovery Girl, and our little circle know about One For All and everything else"

"Huh, Nezu didn't tell me anything," Shinjiro sighed. "Then again it's Nezu we're talking about"

"I was really surprised to hear that you were going to be a teacher for U.A!" Midoriya blurted. "I was really confused for a moment then it all suddenly clicked. Then again it would be super weird for the number one hero to be teaching and such. Plus there are multiple reasons as to why- OW!"

"It's too late for this Midoriya," Shinjiro sighed as he had head chopped Midoriya to stop the muttering.

"I was about to say the same thing but I couldn't tell anyone I was going to be a teacher until the school announced it" Toshinori sighed. "I was offered the position when I was looking for a successor"

"And that was when you were going to find him or her. That is...until you met Midoriya," Shinjiro finished.

"Exactly, no one would guess that he would be my successor. After all, he was in the perfect position to gain One For All, ah and speaking of One For All," He said as he turned to Midoriya. "You have to make sure you keep it in check. After all, you don't want to be an egg in a microwave"

Midoriya shivered at the thought. "I- I'll try my best!"

"And young Shinjiro," Toshinori turned back to Shinjiro. "I sincerely hope you can make the right choices in the future"

Shinjiro in turn does a salute. "Sir yes sir"

"Now then, let's give it our all shall we!" Toshinori said before transforming into his buff form. "I can't wait to see you guys then!"

"You're making it sound like you're never going to see us again," Shinjiro deadpanned.

"Hey isn't that All Might?" A passerby shouted from the pier.

"Hey look! It is!"

"Why are there so many people out during the night?!" Shinjiro panicked.

"Welp, it's time to go! Come on you two!" All Might immediately ran in the other direction. Shinjiro and Midoriya quickly followed, eventually running so fast that they kicked up a sandstorm to momentarily blind the onlookers who heard that All Might was at the beach.

After running into the nearby neighborhood and into an alley, they decided to call it a night.

"Goodnight both of you," Shinjiro waved as he yawned.

"Goodnight Shinjiro-san! See you soon All Might!" Midoriya yelled as he ran back to his house, his voice drowning out as he ran around a building.

"Goodnight young Midoriya!" All Might waved before turning to Shinjiro. "And goodnight to you too young Shinjiro" As he was getting ready to jump, Shinjiro tugged on his costume.

"Hm?"

"You'll find him right?" Despite being sleepy, Shinjiro maintained a stern look on his face.

"I cannot guarantee I will but...I'll certainly try. And soon you'll have your normal life back, that is if you want to stay the way you are"

"As long as it doesn't affect everyone else then yes. If Midoriya still gets into U.A., still has a chance to be a hero even after I'm gone...then gladly"

"You really do care for young Midoriya don't you?" All Might lightly chuckled.

"I guess so...he was in a way...the younger brother I never had," Shinjiro said. He remembered all the times where he stood up for Midoriya against Bakugo and his gang. Every time, Shinjiro would come out with burns and bruises on him with Midoriya tending to his wounds.

"Why'd you have to go and get beat up like that?!" The young Midoriya would shout.

"Would you rather get beat up or let me be the one taking the beating for you?" Shinjiro groaned.

"Still-"

"Midoriya. If you don't want me getting beat up all the time then learn to stand up for yourself. You love All Might don't you? You want to be a hero don't you? Then...be one and stand up for yourself. Then I'll stop standing up for you."

That was when Midoriya started standing up for himself and for others when Bakugo was bullying them. Shinjiro would watch as Midoriya got beat up again and again but still the boy's dream would not be shattered. It was always like that from then on, years passed by and Midoriya had changed into who he is now with or without Shinjiro.

"I see" All Might said, breaking Shinjiro's quick flashback. "Then I should hold off on looking for the guy since you want to watch Midoriya grow too"

Shinjiro scoffed. "If you delay for the jokes and laughs...I won't forgive you"

All Might let out a hearty laugh. "Well then, I must really get going. Good night young Shinjiro" And with that he lept into the air and bounced across some houses until he was out of sight.

Shinjiro turned and started walking with a slight grin on his face. It didn't take long before he got back to the apartment, well it did take some time. After all, the apartment was near U.A., and considering the distance between that and the beach would mean Shinjiro would have to walk for some time before reaching home.

Anyways, as soon as he got home, he plopped onto the sofa.

"What should I do...what if I get too attached to everyone? What would that mean if it's all reverted? Whose futures would change and whose wouldn't? Ugh, I'm too tired for this...I'm...just….gonna take a nap…." He thought before dozing off on the couch.

Darkness.

We meet yet again in this wonderful and vibrant world. The eternal abyss lying within you and yet...you are nothing. Nothing but yet one fears, fears of the things living within.

A lone spotlight shines in the middle, one that cuts through the darkness albeit by not very much. A child bathes in the heat of the light and explores his surroundings. He sees nothing but the black for miles and miles.

"WElcOme yOunG One," A voice cuts through the air. The voice was surprisingly calm but distorted beyond.

The child could not open his mouth to speak as when he did, all but a small gasp was heard.

"YoU May NoT KnOw WHo AM I BuT I KnOW Of you," The voice declared. The child still could not see who was speaking to him. He was scared and confused at the proclamation.

"Wh- who are you?" The boy squeaked.

"Me?"The voice turned cold and clear. "Liberation and order"

A small red beam shot out of the dark and into the boy. Suddenly, the light in him grew and grew until it encased his entire body in a crimson red. He could see it...a death to come.

He blinked. Red. He blinked again. Red. He shut his eyes in horror hoping to not see the stain. After what seemed to be hours, he gradually opened his eyes. What came after shook him to the very core.

A desolate wasteland with nothing but a small trail in its wake. No buildings, no bodies, not even a sign of human life was seen. An ominous cloud of darkness hovered in front of him, nothing but a pair of two yellow eyes staring back at him. Staring deep into his soul as neither moved an inch unless it turned around looking at something.

A metallic suit walked towards them, it was bloodshot red although it was hard to tell if it was blood or the red smoke pouring out of it. It walked in a strange manner however, its movement was sporadic, leaning from side to side with head tilts and the occasional seizure it had. When it finally did reach the child and the shadow it stopped and looked down at him disregarding the obvious darkness beside it.

It slowly raised its hand up, lighting up a blade attached to the underside of the forearm. The child stared with widened eyes as the robot brought the blade down, turning everything black.

Shinjiro's eyes shot wide open as he got up from his position as he left it. Sweat streaming down his face and panting irregularly. He took a look at his surroundings and saw his apartment just as he had left it. He grabbed his head with his hand and held it in pain.

Recalling all that he saw, his eyes widened as he rushed to his study. Flipping papers over like recreating a dramatic scene, he stopped when he reached a few. Pictures and designs of weapons and the suit he was making. His hand shook, picking up one of the papers and holding it up.

"No...no no no no. Why would you show me this?!" Shinjiro said as he dropped the paper. It was blueprints for blades that looked exactly like the ones he saw in his dream. Blue blades on the underside of the forearm, used in the same way, and on the exact suit.

"A premonition? Or a sign? I- I- It was just the past I-" He sat down on the chair and held his head in his arms. He hadn't told anyone he was getting the same dream over and over again. After so many of the same dream, he had finally remembered all the events leading up to his current state. But now he is getting things that don't even make sense to him.

He wanted to tell someone, but he couldn't. There were far too many risks of letting anyone in on it, sure he could tell All Might but not even he could do much about it. The enemy he's facing is out of sight, nowhere and everywhere, and telling someone could make them a target too.

In a flash, Shinjiro grabbed all of his blueprints, stuffed them in his bag, and ran out of the apartment. Soon he was in a sprint to U.A, using the special keycard Nezu had given him to gain access inside. Since it was the middle of the night, no one was around meaning he had the lab all to himself.

Shifting the doors open to reveal a half-built bodysuit, Shinjiro threw his bag on the nearest table and got to work looking more determined than ever.

Midoriya laid on his bed and stared at his I.D card which showed a picture of him smiling, and the details next to it.

"Class 1-A" It read. Being the highest heroics class in U.A. Midoriya knew he had to step up his game.

"Oh! I should probably text Shinjiro-san on what class he's in," Midoriya quickly took out his phone and sent a text to him. It took a while for Shinjiro to send a text back but when he did Midoriya's face lit up.

"We're in the same class!" He silently rejoiced before turning a bit blue. "What if Kacchan's in the same class as us? Most likely he would have done well on the exam too but they won't exactly... get along"

He sat up and walked over to his desk, silently mumbling to himself about what could possibly happen if they meet. He opened up his notebook and flipped to Shinjiro's page. It was mostly empty save for an accurate drawing of him with his hands in his pocket. He scanned over his personality and put a hand over his chin.

"Closed off when you first meet up but slowly opens up. Protective and blunt… also sets his mind to something that he wants to do. With Kacchan's...anger issue they would no doubt butt heads. There are times where Shinjiro can really get under someone's skin as well so he might push some buttons on him," Midoriya muttered.

He was busy thinking when he got to a section that stopped his train of thought.

"I forgot about his problem! I was so busy about how'd they get along when they never would!"

Shinjiro had told bits and pieces about his past when he was still him. About how he and Midoriya were best friends, and how he'd always fight with Bakugo. If they were going to meet up for the "first time", then it would never end well due to their clashing personalities.

"Well, I guess we'll have to see what happens then. But for now..."

He stopped again, thinking about how sad Shinjiro must be for sixteen years of his life robbed from one bad day. All the memories wiped from everyone he ever knew and was left stranded as a dead man. When they first met, Shinjiro felt distant and it took a lot of work to open him back up to Midoriya. Because of it, they feel closer than ever, but Midoriya still couldn't help but be sad for him.

"If only I could do something about it. Wait a minute..."

Midoriya picked up his pencil and excitedly jotted down a couple of things in an empty section of the book. After writing what he had thought of, he removed the pencil away from the book and marvelled at what he had written.

"Help Shinjiro create new memories"

"Well, it's a start," Midoriya yawned. "I'll write some more down tomorrow"

He got up from his seat and made his way to bed. As he got under the covers he stared out the window and into the night sky.

"I'll make sure to help you all I can Shinjiro-san"

He turned off his lamp, thus ending the night.
