Another month another chapter and we've managed to hit double digits on the chapters less goooooo. But, to those who think I'm dropping the book, don't be ridiculous. This is essentially my baby even though I'm just mashing multiple things and boom story.

Also, can you believe it's almost been one year since I started writing this story? I know right, one year and 10 chapters, I love myself right now. Anyway, let's start the chapter. ROLL IT!

"Ow! Ow!" The all too familiar sound of Midoriya getting beat in the head by a cane ringed in Shinjiro's ears.

"Just when I thought you had your quirk under control! Jeez, all those times where you'd come in with a broken arm makes the injury count climb," Recovery Girl gave one last smack to the boy before healing him.

After everything was over, Midoriya and Shinjiro, who had changed out of their gym uniforms, headed over to Recovery Girl's office.

"And you! Why didn't you do anything about it! Aren't you supposed to be watching over him while All Might's busy?"

"I had no choice," Midoriya interjected before instantly feeling the effects of his stamina draining. "Aizawa-sensei would have expelled if I didn't"

"At least he didn't break his entire arm again," Shinjiro said, leading to a quick smack on the head by Recovery Girl.

"Either way, I'd say it's good progress," Shinjiro rubbed the spot where he was hit while Recovery Girl was busy wrapping up Midoriya's arm with bandages.

"Good progress is when he stops breaking his arms!" Recovery Girl scolded. "If you keep doing this to yourself, there will be a time where I won't even be able to heal you. Understand?"

"Yes! I'm sorry!" Midoriya yelled.

"I have a feeling this won't be the last time we come here," Shinjiro sighed.

After saying goodbye to Recovery Girl, the duo walked through the now empty halls of U.A. Midoriya was busy eyeing Shinjiro while he just had his hands in his pocket and staring out the windows.

"What is it Midoriya?" Shinjiro asked.

"Oh...um, I was just wondering about how fast you changed your clothes. Plus you were already out on the field by the time we got there, and how fast you changed before we headed to Recovery Girl," Midoriya said.

"Oh, that's easy. I am speed"

"H- Huh?"

"You've seen my speed out on the field before, it doesn't just apply to running fast. Sometimes I can just speed myself up allowing me to move faster than a normal human being. Don't worry, I'm not pulling any terminator stuff," Shinjiro explained.

"Of course, that's a lie. Despite being quirkless, my parents forced me to take multiple classes so crammed together I've had to change on the move but he doesn't need to know that," Shinjiro mentally laughed.

"Oh, I see. Then what else can you do? I've only ever seen you train normally with All Might," Midoriya asked.

"That my boy, you'll have to see. I can't just tell you everything, after all...the hero is the one with tons of secrets and comes in the latest," Shinjiro put a finger up with a smirk on his face.

"No fair!" Midoriya pouted as Shinjiro sped up his walking.

Soon the both of them made their way outside of the school. It was quiet since everyone had gone home a long time ago.

"Still, I didn't think I'd be breaking my arm and be almost expelled," Midoriya held up his bandaged arm and sighed in relief.

"Yea, well. Aizawa's our homeroom teacher so get ready to be killed over and over again," Shinjiro said before walking through the sliding glass doors.

"K- Killed?" Midoriya shivered.

Shinjiro sighed. "It's unfortunate no one remembers anything. I actually trained under Aizawa for a little while"

"Y- You did?!" Midoriya shouted.

"Yup, I basically learned what it's like being an underground hero. Out of the spotlight and everything. Of course, I didn't take part in fights or anything, just the training," Shinjiro stretched.

"Still! That's so cool that you got to train under him!" Midoriya said with stars in his eyes.

"Heh, the man dragged me through hell and back. I'd definitely not do it again, but I did learn a lot from him," Shinjiro then stopped in his tracks.

Midoriya was a couple of steps ahead of him before he noticed him stop.

"What's wrong?"

"Socialization," Was all Shinjiro said.

"Midoriya!" Iida was walking right at him, Uraraka close behind him. "Is your arm alright?"

"Y-Yeah! It's completely fine," Midoriya quickly said out of sudden shock.

"Are you sure you're okay Deku?" Uraraka asked.

"D- Deku?" Midoriya froze and his body stiffened up. "W- Where did you hear that?"

"Isn't that what Bakugo called you? He said it during the assessment test"

"U- Uh yeah. My name is Izuku but Deku is what Kacchan calls to make fun of me," Midoriya rubbed the back of his head.

"Well, I like it! It'd make an amazing hero name, something like 'you can do it!'"

Midoriya turned bright red after that.

"Y- you really t- think so?" He stuttered.

"Of course!"

"Deku it is!" He shouted.

"Nani? Didn't you just say it was an insult?" Iida questioned.

"N- nope! My world's totally upside down right now!" Midoriya put his hands in his face and turned down, hiding his embarrassment. Uraraka on the other hand, was confused.

"By the way, where did your other friend go?" She asked.

"Huh?" Midoriya spun around and saw no sign of Shinjiro anywhere. "Riiight, he doesn't like people"

"U- um," He turned back to the small group. "He probably already walked past us while we were caught up. Shall we go now?"

With that, the trio walked away from U.A. as friends.

Shinjiro made his way back into the apartment having avoided any form of socialization from people he never knew. He did send a quick text to Midoriya apologizing for leaving so abruptly.

Shinjiro: Text me back when you reach home

He sent it before turning his phone off and pulling out a key from his pocket. He was about to put the key in the keyhole before noticing the door was slightly ajar.

He sighed. "Nezu, if you've broken in again you could have just told me you know!"

"Tell you what?"

He widened his eyes before looking down to where the voice was coming from.

"N- Nezu?!" He jumped.

"Yes! It is me in the flesh!" Nezu announced.

"What are you doing here?"

"To see you of course! Especially to talk about your first day!" The rodent happily said.

"Then...who's in the house?" Shinjiro glanced back at the door.

"You'll see," Nezu gestured his hand to the door.

Shinjiro narrowed his eyes as he cautiously opened the door. It was dark...too dark.

"If this is a kidnapping attempt, I'm not buying it-" He was cut off by confetti flying in his face, the lights blared and momentarily blinded him. When his eyes managed to adjust to the sudden light change, he was indeed shocked.

A small cake sat in the middle of the living room table, with a couple of balloons and stringers hung up all around the room. Shinjiro couldn't help but crack a smile at the spectacle.

"So, this is what you've been doing instead of being a principal?" He jokingly asked.

"Oh, you have no idea. I sped up all my work just to get this set up. Please take a seat, I'll cut the cake," Nezu said as he took a knife from a drawer he could reach.

"You know, I was pretty disappointed when you didn't show up to the opening ceremony," The rodent said as he set down some plates and cutleries on the living room table getting ready to cut it.

"Why? So that you would embarrass me in front of the whole school that I'm your son?"

"...Maybe," Nezu said before cutting a slice and handing it to Shinjiro.

"Maybe, it's a good thing I got put in Aizawa's class then," He rolled his eyes.

"Speaking of Aizawa, how was going through that assessment test?" Nezu asked.

"It was...interesting to say the least. At least he didn't expel anyone this time round"

"That means everyone has been deemed of heroic material." Nezu smiled. "I checked on your results earlier and I must say, I am proud of you for placing so high up"

"You don't need to flatter me, I just did my best that's all,"

Nezu chuckled. "However, that's just the beginning. You have to be prepared for everything, it's going to be a tough three years from this point on."

Shinjiro sighed. "Yea, I guess if I'm spending all this time I might as well make it worth something"

"Like I said, you shouldn't hold on to the past forever. Learn to let go and create new memories, after all you're still young. And that means you still have a lot to do," Nezu finished his slice of cake before setting the empty plate down.

"I hope this experience at U.A really brings out the best in you!" The rodent stood up on the sofa as if he was giving a speech. "How to be a hero!"

"Okay calm down. We're not risking a copyright claim," Shinjiro scoffed. "But...what makes a hero anyway?"

"Hm?"

"I mean, it should be simple right? Save lives, beat villains and that's pretty much it. But there's a deeper meaning to this sort of thing isn't there?"

Nezu sighed. "Unfortunately yes. Everyone has ulterior motives but if they do their job properly then no one would bat an eye. That's why hero schools are a thing, to make sure you really want to become someone that does the right thing and to be as pure as possible"

"I see...I don't want to get too philosophical about it but what if it's like those comic books where the villains are actually doing the right thing and the heroes are the bad ones instead"

Nezu thought about it for a moment. "Then it's up to the world to figure that out, after all I can't answer for anyone but myself. If you want my honest opinion then if what you truly say is right, I would choose to follow the path in which I feel is right. It should be the same to you too"

"Heh, you really are dangerously intelligent," Shinjiro set his plate down and leaned back.

"Hehe, I know I am," Nezu chuckled.

"We should duel one day, you know. My intellect versus yours, I wonder who'd come out on top?" The rodent starts evilly laughing while stirring yet another cup of tea. Seriously, where does he get all of them from?

"Yeaaaa, no." Shinjiro got up from the sofa and brought the plates to the sink. "If I wanted to fight you I'd do it in something like chess or monopoly"

"Then we can do it there then"

"Wait no-"

"Ah, I'm just joking." Nezu got up from his seat. "Now, I sadly believe I have overran my time here today. I still have some work to do back at the office and make sure the teachers are properly doing their jobs"

"How do you even know that they're doing work?"

"Easy, I watch them all," Nezu said menacingly before reverting back to a normal voice.

" Make sure to not sleep too late and be ready for tomorrow. Now if you excuse me, good night!" Nezu made sure to close the apartment door behind before walking off.

"N- night," Shinjiro said and went to lock the door. He sighed, but it necessarily wasn't a bad sign. It had only been the first day and so much had happened, if it was like this every day then…

"Ugh, I should probably get some sleep, I'll be sleeping earlier than the author for once," He thought before making his way to bed.

~{On the second day of Christ- U.A.}~

Midoriya stared at the door to the classroom. He shook in excitement, as he was not over the euphoria of finally being at U.A.

"I still can't believe it! I'm at U.A. I'm at U.A. I'm at U.A.!"

"Oi Midoriya"

A voice snapped him out of his trance, he turned around to see Shinjiro giving him a 'really?' look.

"O- Oh. Good morning Shinjiro-san!"

"Good morning, now come on. Let's go inside before you start having a system shutdown," Shinjiro grabbed the door handle and slid the door open while Midoriya nervously chuckled.

They walked in to see everybody else talking amongst each other. A few of them immediately noticed them walking in and went straight towards them, but mostly to Midoriya.

"Yo! The name's Denki Kaminari! That throw was pretty amazing, plus the way you looked super badass," The yellow-haired boy practically jumped towards Midoriya.

"Th- Thank you," Midoriya was getting embarrassed by all the praises he was getting.

"And my name's Eijiro Kirishima! I must admit, it was super manly if you ask me!" Shouted a spiky red-haired boy, shooting a toothy grin at him. Quite literally if I may add.

"Hey, I wanna see you do it again!" An invisible girl said cheerfully.

"I'd rather not," Midoriya grinned nervously, occasionally letting out a nervous laugh. He was so busy trying to deal with the swarm of people around him, he never noticed Shinjiro had already gone to his seat.

The teen watched on like a big brother taking care of his younger sibling.

"Ah youth. Always so amazing," He blissfully thought.

Soon, the bell rang and school was now in session.

~{First Period: English Class}~

Let's be honest, everyone was super bored as President Mic, you know the shouting one, wrote down a couple of sentences on the chalkboard.

"So boring," Everyone collectively thought.

"This really sucks, when can I start blowing stuff up?" A certain boy thought.

"Now, can any of you tell me which of these sentences is incorrect?" Mic asked.

In response, a couple of hands shot up.

"You there! In the back!" Mic shouted with a smile pointing straight at Shinjiro.

"One," He said back.

"BZZT! Wrong!" Mic shouted, crossing his hands and sounding like a buzzer.

"Bzzt! Wrong!" He retorted, sounding like President Mic. "It's still legal to beatbox and more importantly, you're basically wearing a giant speaker. How does that work?"

"Ah! Well, I'll tell you how it works- Wait," Mic stopped himself from going on a tangent, looked at the chalkboard, and wiped off sentence one. In its place, he wrote a brand new sentence.

"I'll tell you all about it when you're free but for now! Which one of these sentences is grammatically incorrect!"

"What the hell just happened?!" The class thought in shock.

~{Lunch}~

Soon it was lunchtime because let's be honest here, no one cares about the other classes. It's how the manga did it, it's how the anime did it, and it's worked out so far.

Midoriya, Iida, Ochako, and Shinjiro stood in a line while waiting for the food. Midoriya being Midoriya started geeking out.

"I heard all of this gourmet food is being cooked by the Cook Hero: Lunch Rush by himself! Is that his quirk? If it isn't then how on earth did he-" However, he was interrupted by a slap to the head.

"OW!"

"Deku! You okay?" Ochako asked out of concern.

"Shinjiro-san! What do you think you're doi-" Iida turned around to scold Shinjiro, only for a dust silhouette of him to appear. "Where'd he go?"

~{In the kitchen}~

"So….the best cook of them all huh? Hello there," Shinjiro said in a menacing tone.

"Oho? A kid? Coming into my kitchen? You are a bold one," Lunch Rush held up multiple spatulas and a pan at him.

"How'd he get that many arms?" Shinjiro blinked. "Well then, time to bring out the one-off"

Shinjiro pulled the weapon that shall not be named as both contenders let out battle cries before dramatically running directly at each other.

~{Fifth Period: Basic Hero Training}~

Everyone had gathered back into the classroom after lunch ended. Shinjiro however, came back later than the rest, sparking interest in the matter. He was unbothered by the whispering of his classmates and simply went to his seat.

"Where did you go, Shinjiro-san?" Midoriya came up to him and asked.

"Eh, don't worry about it," He said, waving a hand at him.

"It's nothing for a child like you to be concerned about," Shinjiro gave him a small smile.

Then, it was time.

"I AM-"

Midoriya perked up with puppy eyes, well knowing who was coming through that door.

"-coming through the door like a normal person!" All Might exclaimed as he slid the door open and acted like he was making a superhero entrance.

"None of that was normal..."Shinjiro sweatdropped.

Everyone else though was stunned to see All Might strutting over to the stand.

"Whoa! It's All Might!" Kaminari shouted.

"Isn't that his Silver Age costume?" Tsuyu Asui asked, a girl with frog-like features, putting a finger to her chin.

"I'm getting goosebumps, it's so retro," Said Mashirao Ojiro, a blonde teen with a giant tail. (No furries allowed)

"Welcome to the most important class of U.A.! Think of it as heroing 101! Here we'll learn the basics of being a pro and what it means to fight in the name of good!" All Might struck a very dramatic pose.

"Let's get to it! Today's lesson will -" The hero stuck his arm up in the air showing a card that read 'battle'. "-pull no punches!

"Combat training!" An evil grin formed on Bakugo's face once he saw the card.

"Real combat?" Midoriya quivered.

"But one of the keys of being a hero issssss-" All Might pulled out a remote and hit the button. It revealed a bunch of drawers on the side of the room opening up and showing cases that were numbered accordingly.

"-looking goooood!" He finished.

Everyone let out one giant "WOAH!"

"These are your costumes you guys made based on your quirks and have been requested before school started! Now come on! Put them on and meet me on Ground Beta!" All Might said before striking one final pose.

"Yes, sir!" The class shouted.

"Again...how is any of this normal?" Shinjiro facepalmed.

All Might was currently standing within Ground Beta, with a hand on his chin and the other holding a set of cards. He was rehearsing his lines so as to not ruin the new up and coming hero's experience.

"Let's see we have the box and papers set up for the teams. An odd number of people which means mumble mumble mumble," All Might said to himself.

"Are you seriously becoming Midoriya now?" A voice rang behind him.

All Might jumped a little before turning around, trying to hide his notes behind him. Shinjiro was wearing the U.A. gym uniform and ruffling his hair.

"W-where's your costume? And h-how did you change so quickly?" The hero asked.

"I wouldn't really call it a costume, it's more of a suit than anything. But it's just that I need to make a couple more tweaks before I can get it into action. As for how I changed...hmmm, it's a secret," Shinjiro winked.

"How mean!" All Might exclaimed. "*Ahem* Anyway, I must ask young Shinjiro, are you excited for your very first hero class?"

"No, I'd rather sleep for the rest of the day"

"Nani?!" All Might shouted in confusion. "But this is your chance to finally become the hero you always wanted to be!"

"I feel like that's a bit of a stretch," Shinjiro then scoffed. "Be the hero I always wanted to be huh? Well, the hero I want to be is to not be a hero."

"Ohhh come on young Shinjiro, lighten up a bit. Believe in yourself! Being a hero isn't just about being strong, you gotta have that mindset too!" All Might said.

"Alright, alright. Keep working on your motivational speeches, using the same ones over and over isn't going to help you know"

"Haha! Young Shinjiro, always so direct." He then perked up to see shadowy figures coming from the entrance of the tunnel.

"Ah, here come the new heroes in training!" All Might proudly said.

Shinjiro looked ahead to see all the students gather in front of All Might wearing their unique hero costumes. Some looked interesting, some looked plain, and some looked….rather unique.

"Dramatic and flashy...oh boy," Shinjiro thought. "Wait...where's Midoriya?"

He looked around for Midoriya until he saw another shadow come running out of the tunnel.

"Oh no no no," Shinjiro groaned.

Saying Midoriya was dressed in all green was an understatement. He was practically bathing in green, wearing a green full-body jumpsuit. It had elbow pads, knee pads, red boots as well as all the standard protection. What stood out, however, were the bunny-like ears on top of his head and a mouthpiece that resembles a certain someone...I wonder who?

Shinjiro rubbed his eyes in embarrassment while All Might couldn't help but stifle a laugh, nudging Shinjiro with his elbow. The teen gave a hero a look before sighing and walking over to Midoriya.

"Hey, Shinjiro-san! What do you think of my-"

"I'm going to be honest, it looks dumb," Shinjiro said holding his head down in shame.

"But I didn't even finish!" The green man said.

"You know it's completely fine if you're like a five year old doing something like this. Looks like it's time to finally disassociate myself with you, you're on your own," Shinjiro said.

"Shinjiro-san you're so mean!"

"Deku! Your costume looks super cool!" Uraraka popped up from behind Shinjiro, startling the boy a little. Midoriya noticed what she was wearing and started shaking while covering his mouth.

She was wearing a pale pink skin-tight bodysuit with attachments to make her look like an astronaut.

"I should have been more specific with what I wanted," Uraraka embarrassingly rubbed the back of her head. "This bodysuit is so tight, not really my style."

"I- I- I- I think it l- looks c- c- cool! I- It's like y- you're a- an astronaut!" Midoriya stammered and stuttered.

Uraraka then blushed and started twirling her fingers. "E-Eh? You th- think so? Th- Thanks"

Shinjiro just stared blankly at the two, behaving so awkwardly. "Why do I have to get caught up in all this..."

"Now that you're all ready, it's time for combat training!" All Might exclaimed. "For this exercise, you will be split into teams of two being the villains and heroes. You'll be fighting indoors since statistically speaking most of the true villains like to fight indoors. Don't ask me why though"

"Isn't this a little advanced?" The frog-like girl asked.

"Sir, will you be the one deciding who wins?" The tall girl with a ponytail asked.

"How much can we pound the other team into dust?" Bakugo asked leading Kaminari to shoot him one hell of a concerned look.

"Do we need to worry about the losers getting expelled like yesterday?" Uraraka asked worryingly.

"Will you be splitting us up by chance or comparative skill?" Iida asked.

"Isn't this cape just the absolute best?" A blonde-haired, fashionable boy asked.

"Can Nezu throw me back to where he found me?" Shinjiro mumbled.

"Urgh, I wasn't finished talking," All Might said, feeling the stress and pressure unto him. "Now, listen up! Let's see here..." He pulled out his notes from his back pocket and began reading.

"A script?!" A shocked Midoriya thought.

"The situation is this: the villains have a nuclear missile in their hideout. The heroes have to foil their plans and to do that, they have to capture the villains or recover the weapon. Similarly, the villains win if they protect their payload until time runs out or capture the heroes!"

"Sounds like a classic action movie," Midoriya thought excitedly.

He then magically pulled out a yellow box. "We'll be drawing team members from this box!"

The tall girl then raised her hand.

"Yes?"

"Sensei, you said that the teams are two-on-two, however, there are twenty-one students here. Won't that mean someone will be left out?"

"Ah yes, you are correct Yaoyorozu! Which is why I'll be adding a special rule! For the two going up against a team of three, the time limit would be slightly increased as well as knowing where the bomb is placed! That way the heroes would have time to prepare their strategy!"

"Hmm, a tactical advantage for the heroes. It's by no means the best but it'll have to work for the time being," Shinjiro thought.

"Any more questions?" All Might asked, getting no response back. "Good! Now let's draw some teams!"

He reached into two separate boxes and pulled out two pieces of paper. "The first team isss-" He turned the paper around to show the class. "Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Uraraka!"

"Oh wow! What are the chances, we're a team!" Uraraka said excitedly.

Midoriya recoiled back in embarrassment and nervousness. "Oh god, I have to make a good impression on her!"

All Might kept pulling names out of the box. "Team D is Katsuki Bakugo and Tenya Iida!"

"So...I'm with the elite hardass huh? Too bad I won't be able to beat your ass today," Bakugo grumbled.

"Bakugo, this is certainly not appropriate behavior!" Iida raised his hands up and down in a chopping motion.

"Shut up before I'll throw you over to heroes to let them beat you up!" Bakugo struck back. Before long, they were in a heated argument forcing All Might to separate them for a bit.

"*Ahem* Now where were we? Ah yes!" The hero pulled out two names. "Fumikage Tokoyami and Shinjiro are on Team I! Which means the final three are Tsuyu Asui, Eijiro Kirishima, and Hanta Sero!"

Kirishima pumped his fists in the air. "Aw, yea! I get frog girl and tape man!"

"Please call me Tsuyu kero," The frog girl replied.

"It seems we are paired up together," Tokoyami approached Shinjiro. The teen was dressed in an all-black cloak save for his head, which by the way have I mentioned he's a raven?

"Indeed we are," Shinjiro replied.

All Might then pulled out two more boxes labeled 'Hero' and 'Villain' respectively. He shoved both his hands into each of the boxes and pulled out two balls.

"The first teams to fight will be-" He then revealed the ball letters corresponding to the teams. "A and D! Team A being the heroes and Team D being the villains!"

Midoriya was shocked, confused, and downright terrified at the same time. Out of all the teams he could have gone up against, fate decided to pit him against Bakugo. He was the only person Midoriya was scared of, I mean why wouldn't you be scared of your childhood bully.

He glanced over his shoulder to see Bakugo giving him a death stare, scaring the wits out of the poor child.

"Alright everybody, please head towards the monitoring room! Teams will have a couple of minutes to discuss and map out their plans! If anything goes out of hand, I will personally step in," All Might instructed.

Everyone else started to walk back into the tunnel from where they came from. While Uraraka was psyching herself up, Shinjiro used that time to walk over to Midoriya.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" He asked.

"Y- Yea..." Midoriya shivered and looked down.

Shinjiro just sighed and pulled Midoriya closer to him. "Even a fool would know when you're lying. Listen, don't let him intimate you. Don't let him bring you down. Prove to him that you aren't the same person you were a long time ago. Beat him at his own game...Deku"

Midoriya widened his eyes once Shinjiro said that name, giving him a boost of confidence. He lifted up his head to see Shinjiro giving him a comforting smile, even if it wasn't really a true smile. He nodded, leading Shinjiro to let go of him and started walking away.

Midoriya watched him walk away into the tunnel before adjusting his bunny-like ears and putting on a serious look completely void of any fear.

At the same time, Bakugo and Iida had made their way inside the building and placed the bomb somewhere on the top floor. They decided to plant it at the back of the room to give the heroes more time to reach it.

"So this is the weapon we must protect," Iida said, giving the bomb a knock. "It's a fake of course"

"Oi," Bakugo called out to him, the explosive teen was oddly silent. "Do you really think Deku has a quirk?"

"You saw how he threw that ball. Though I think that his power hurts his body. Why do you seem very hostile towards Midoriya?" Iida questioned.

The boy didn't answer as he stared towards the double doors leading into the room, you could practically feel his anger miles away.

"Was he seriously just tricking me all those years?" Bakugo angrily shook. His pupils dilated and formed an evil grin on his face. "I'm going to roast that damn nerd today!"

Outside, Midoriya and Uraraka were looking at the floor plans and studying it, well mostly Midoriya.

"Do you think they'd expect us to memorize the building's floor plan when it's this big?" Uraraka asked. "You know, All Might's just as cool in person as he is on television. I'm glad he's not threatening us with some kind of expulsion like Mr. Aizawa, we can rela- Ah! You're sweating through your costume!"

She was cut off mid-sentence when she saw Midoriya, her eyes bulging.

He was sweating nervously while slowly gripping the blueprint tighter, having suddenly lost the motivation he got from Shinjiro. Weird right? Well, I don't know, I'm just telling the story.

"W- Well...it's just because I'm up against Kacchan plus there's Iida too. So we should be on our guard the entire time"

"Oh right...Bakugo. He's the one always making fun of you right?" Uraraka's mood dropped.

"Yea...he's amazing. Even though he's a real pain to deal with, but his strength, confidence, his ambitions, and not to mention his quirk. They're all so much better than mine. I don't know why he goes out of his way to hate me so much even though he's levels above me. But, here I am trying to prove him wrong..." Midoriya sighed.

"Well, I don't know much about you and Bakugo but I can tell from you saving me at the exam that you are way better than him!" Uraraka used confidence boost, it was super effective and it definitely raised Midoriya's confidence.

"Alright! It's time to begin the indoor combat training!" All Might's voice blared throughout the grounds. "Team A! Team D! Your time starts now!"

In the monitoring room All Might got off the speaker and turned to the others in the room. "Now watch carefully and think about what would you do in their position"

Shinjiro took a notepad out of his...pocket? How does he have a pocket on a gym uniform- actually, you don't want to know. He flipped to an empty page on the book and clicked his pen, which came together with the book.

"This is a good time to see how well Midoriya's progressed. I'm sure you're watching too, right All Might?" He looked toward the hero glaring at the screen, adjusting his earpiece and taking out his own notebook.

"Young Midoriya, in this class you're just another student. I'll be grading you as I would anyone else, no playing favorites this time"

Midoriya and Uraraka hopped through a window that got them inside the building.

"And just like that we're in," Uraraka said.

"Careful, there's a lot of blind spots for them to ambush us," Midoriya said cautiously.

They walked through the empty halls of the building, checking around each corner for any sign of Bakugo and Iida. Footsteps ringed throughout as they navigated the seemingly infinite rooms and floors.

"I can't risk using One For All yet. If I did, I could kill someone," Midoriya thought. "If we're going to win then it's all on Uraraka's Zero Gravity. Whatever I can do without a quirk, just gotta use my head"

"You think we're getting closer?" Uraraka asked.

"Kacchan isn't the type of person to be placing a bomb on the lower floors, if we're going anywhere it's up," Midoriya said, flipping through his brains all the possible scenarios that could happen.

"What if we run into him?"

"Then-" His senses kicked in. "Look out!"

Bakugo had swung around a corner poised to attack. Sparks emitted from his hands as he lunged forward.

"DIE!"

Luckily, Midoriya had managed to push Uraraka and himself out of the way so the explosion hit the wall instead. He shielded Uraraka with his body so as to not let her get hit with any debris.

"Uraraka-san! You okay?" He asked while looking behind him, ready to defend himself from any other attacks.

"Y- Yea, I'm fine," She tried composing herself after that sneak attack. "D-Deku! Your mask!"

"It's just the mask," He said, keeping his eyes on the spot that was just hit. At this point, his whole demeanor had changed into a serious one as he got into a battle stance.

"What's the matter Deku?" Bakugo swiped the smoke away from him, revealing a very angry child. "Afraid to stand up and fight?"

Midoriya grit his teeth and held his fist up in front of him. "Uraraka-san! You need to get to the bomb now!"

A worried expression was plastered on her face. "But-"

"We don't have time! I'll hold him off for as long as I can!" He shouted back.

The momentary shock she experienced had subsided. "Right!" She said before running off, leaving the two childhood...friends having a stare down at each other.

Midoriya nervously shook. "Y- You're really gunning for me Kacchan?"

"Of course! I'm going to hurt you so bad they'll have to stop the fight!" Bakugo said before rushing directly at him, sparks coming off his hands.

"All those years studying him, all those times where I followed him everywhere…." Midoriya thought.

Shinjiro narrowed his eyes. "He's calming down, but his stance is still the same. You've found it haven't you Midoriya?"

He thought back to the time they were back on the beach. That time where Midoriya basically almost destroyed his armor with a single flick of his finger.

"Does it still hurt?" Shinjiro asked. They were on their way to U.A. to get Midoriya patched up, Shinjiro acting as a crutch for the boy.

"Yea, it still stings really bad," Midoriya clutched his fingers. "How are you still fine though? I mean I basically shot you with a 100% smash"

"I mean aside from the armor protecting me there was also one thing I was doing," He put his finger up. "Zenning"

"I'm not even sure if that's a word," Midoriya sweatdropped.

"I'm pretty sure it is. But anyway, I'm saying that you should be calm. Even in the face of danger because as long as you stay calm and act rationally which is hard I know but you gotta stay with me here. If you do those two things, you would a hundred percent beat an opponent who swings wildly"

"Huh, I'll keep that in mind," Midoriya took a mental note. "I wonder if this'll help me beat Kacchan..."

"Also….why are you dragging around your suit like that?" He pointed at the pile of metal parts that Shinjiro was dragging along.

"It took me 20 minutes to put it on, I'm not throwing it away. If anything I should be throwing you to Recovery Girl's office," Shinjiro retorted.

"P- Please don't," Midoriya said nervously.

"You found your zen," Shinjiro muttered. "Also foreshadowing, why do you have to ruin everything?"

"...Kacchan's first move should always be-" Time seemed to slow as Bakugo cocked his right hand back.

"-A right hook swing!"
