WOOO NEW CHAPTER LETS GO. It's only September 1st here but for you all it'll be the 31st well only those in America so that's a new record of a chapter being put out in a week or two since the last one. Are yall proud of me?
Anyways, this is yet another filler chapter so bring on the booing. But seriously, I wanted to put in all the calm before the storm stuff before we get to the next few chapters of non-stop fighting so don't worry folks the USJ arc is finally upon us. Hoo boy, can you believe it? It only took a year to finally reach the big fighting arc. I'm sorry for having such inconsistent updates but I promise I will try to update more often and get chapters out to yall sooner.
But without further ado! The next chapter!
Ah, nighttime in the beautiful city of Musutafu. A wonderful time for people to take in the sights, eat tons of food, and get wasted at the bar. But we won't be talking about that since Midoriya and Shinjiro are currently sitting in a restaurant eating dinner.
"You broke your weapon?!" Midoriya comically screamed out loud. A couple of people stared at him weirdly before he noticed and started bowing at the other patrons.
"Calm down. *Sigh* Yes, unfortunately, the thing I spent weeks on got it's mechanical ass handed to in the battle trial," Shinjiro complained.
"So...now what?" Midoriya asked as he ate a spoon full of his rice.
"Just rebuild it I guess. I need to make it sturdier and to cover up the sides so that enough force wouldn't cause it to shatter into a million pieces," Shinjiro used his chopsticks to slurp a good amount of his udon.
"Mmm, now that's the best. I don't know why you took the don, but this udon is the best in the entire city!"
Midoriya chuckled. "You really like your food don't you Shinjiro-san?"
"Yup...hey, why do you keep calling me Shinjiro-san?"
"E- Eh? I- I mean you're basically my senpai so I need to keep the honorifics," Midoriya stuttered.
"Drop them. I already told Tokoyami to do the same, it's time for you to do the same," Shinjiro went in for another slurp full of noodles.
"But...I really like the honorifics. Hehe," Midoriya scratched the back of his head.
Shinjiro sighed. "Well, there's no helping it is there," As he was about to eat his noodles, his phone vibrated on the table. He dropped his chopsticks and picked the device up. After doing so he was pretty much invested in it, ignoring Midoriya's head tilt.
After a minute of silence, Shinjiro turned off his phone and put it back face down on the table.
"Oh sorry about that. I just got a text that's all"
"Someone, you like?" Midoriya asked.
"Ooh look at you asking me who I like," Shinjiro teased him, causing the boy to slightly turn red. "Nah, It's just Ayano texting me"
"Who's that?"
"Oh...right. I never told you about them," Shinjiro looked dejected as he said that before snapped back to his original mood.
"Anyways, they are...well...my family who is not my family"
This confused Midoriya thoroughly. "H- Huh?"
"Basically, they were my family before the 'incident' but now since everyone's basically forgotten about me. They aren't my family," Shinjiro explained. It's not really an explanation, it's just a way to confuse people even more.
"So whoever caused the 'incident' changed the memories of your family too?" Midoriya asked, somehow getting that explanation.
"Yea, so they don't remember me. There's not a single piece of evidence that I ever existed," Shinjiro said before picking up his bowl and starting to drink the soup.
"What about a blood test? If they don't remember you then we can use statistics to-"
"Been there done that," Shinjiro interrupted him, putting down his bowl of soup. "We tried it before. Nezu took me to the hospital to run some tests, obviously keeping it secret in the process. My DNA's scrambled, a blood test really doesn't mean anything, and there is no evidence inside of this body that traces back to the Toujou's"
In an off-screen chain of events, Shinjiro's current self has no traces to any living thing in the world thanks to the testing at the hospital. There had been several attempts afterward to try and get at least some kind of clue of what happened to him but all the leads had turned up short. Even the best doctors couldn't understand what had happened to him. Nezu of course made sure none of the info had gotten out and kept everything on the down-low. Why wasn't this said earlier? I don't know, I'm making it up as I go along.
"I see...wait. TOUJOU FAMILY?!" Midoriya screamed in confusion, causing the entire restaurant to turn toward the sound. He noticed his voice had attracted everyone so Midoriya started profusely bowing to every single person there.
"It's a miracle how we're not getting kicked out," Shinjiro sighed. He finished his soup and decided to pay for dinner, apologising to the cashier about Midoriya's sudden outburst. After paying, he went over to Midoriya, who was still apologizing and dragged him out of the restaurant.
"Seriously, you need to stop embarrassing yourself like that," Shinjiro told Midoriya off like a parent.
"S- Sorry...I just didn't expect the fact that you're a Toujou," Midoriya apologized. "I mean...there's so much you haven't told me that I can't help but get surprised every time"
"That's true. I have only just scratched the surface with my own life. Even though it's quite normal, there are still many things I have yet to tell you. Things like our childhood together, how Bakugo treated us, and what not"
"So why aren't you telling me everything?" Midoriya asked.
"You never ask," Shinjiro said, causing Midoriya to comically trip on nothing. "But I'd rather not since there might be a way to restore the memories of those affected by whatever happened. If I tell you everything then there's no way of knowing"
"But you have your family and friends right?"
"True, but I'm not close with them yet. I need to get to know them all again in order to really know if they've gotten their memories back. But right now...it's going to take a minute," Shinjiro pulled out his phone to see if he had gotten a text yet, but sadly he didn't so he put it back in his pocket. "I'd like to think it was fate that I met Ayano that one night. Unfortunately, none of us has been really free to meet up and talk."
Essentially, this confirms the fact that the author forgot about Shinjiro and Ayano's meeting a couple of chapters back. It'll happen soon if the author doesn't forget.
"I see, then I guess maybe you'll get to meet up with her on the weekends! But still, having to make friends with your family seems a bit weird, doesn't it? I don't think there's such a person that not only gives you a quirk but effectively wipes the memories of everyone you know and care about. It's a little weird don't you think?" Midoriya turned his head to look at Shinjiro who was deep in thought.
"There might be a chance that there's an entire organisation we don't know about pulling the strings. So it couldn't just be one person doing all the work. But it is weird because there hasn't been a record of someone using a memory wiping quirk. Even if they did, the person affected by it shouldn't have such a lasting impression"
"Hmmm, maybe-" Midoriya was cut off by the ringing of his cellphone. He brought it out only to start nervously sweating when he saw who the caller was. "I- It's my mom. I didn't tell her I was hanging out with you"
"You seriously haven't told me about her yet?"
"And All Might training me. I've been told not to tell her about any of this," Midoriya finally pressed the answer button on his phone, only to be barraged by his mom.
"Izuku! Where are you? Are you okay? Why aren't you home yet?" Midoriya's mom yelled through the phone so loud that maybe the entire neighborhood could hear it.
"Mom! I'm okay!" Midoriya yelled back. "I'm just out with Shinjiro right now!"
"Shinjiro? Is that your friend?" Even though the phone wasn't even on speaker mode, her words could be heard from miles out.
"Yes! I just need his help to do something and then I'll be coming back! Don't worry I'll be home soon," Midoriya reassured her. After that, things pretty much died down. They talked a little more before Midoriya hung up.
He turned to Shinjiro who was wearing noise-canceling headphones and still holding his hands to his ears.
"Shinjiro-san?"
"HUH?!" Shinjiro basically yelled, having lost all sense of hearing, causing Midoriya to cover his ears. Midoriya moved in to grab and take off his headphones.
"Where'd you even get these?" He asked.
"U- Ugh….I think…. backpack," Shinjiro held his ringing ears.
"Were we really that loud?" Midoriya asked as he put his headphones back in Shinjiro's backpack.
"You aren't getting brain damage from that? Ugh anyway, what were you about to tell me before your mom interrupted us?"
"Hm? Oh yea, I've been meaning to ask you when I can finally introduce you to her!" Midoriya said excitedly.
"Why does that sound like you're bringing home a girlfriend? And wait I don't know why you wouldn't just tell her. It's not like I'm All Might," Shinjiro said.
"That's true but over the last couple of months, you've been helping me too! That's why I think of you as a teacher as well," Midoriya admitted. "If I told my mom was being trained by the two of you...well she'd freak out and stuff"
"Then why didn't you tell me I was just a friend of yours you idiot," Shinjiro deadpanned.
"Ah! I hadn't thought of that," Midoriya said, causing a hand to chop him on the head.
"Seriously, why are you so smart yet so dense," Shinjiro sighed. Unfortunately, that's every shonen protagonist ever.
"Why do we even need to explain this stupid type of stuff?"
Well, all of this could have been avoided if the author wasn't so dumb and had explained things properly in the earlier chapters. Now, we have to clean up his mess... also, get back on script.
"Anyways...you want to make One For All your power?"
Midoriya nodded his head.
"Man, always relying on me to figure it out," Shinjiro scoffed. "Better text your mom that'll be going home slightly later than usual. We've got our work cut out for us."
Instead of physical training, the duo found themselves in Shinjiro's apartment. Shinjiro plopped his bag down on the couch and went to make a cup of coffee.
"This is a nice place," Midoriya looked around at the clean apartment. "But why are we here?"
"Well, U.A's basically closed so we can't train there. So instead of doing physical training, we'll be brainstorming ideas on how to make One For All yours," Shinjiro finished making his coffee before setting it down on the kitchen top. "Wait there, I've got something to show you"
He quickly went out of sight for a minute before coming back out to the living room holding pieces of paper in his hands. It was a good enough stack, enough for Midoriya's eyes to start bulging out of its sockets when Shinjiro brought it out.
"Th- That many..." Midoriya stuttered.
"Huh? Oh yea, I made and drew some notes for myself and yours," He put the stack down on the living room table. "Some ideas over there are mine so you can skip over it, the others are for you"
"Wow, you really did a lot of work," Midoriya picked up a piece of paper and looked at designs for Shinjiro's suit before the boy quickly snatched the piece away.
"Uh-ah," He shook his finger. "Wrong one. I didn't really have time to separate the files so...that's what you're here for!"
Midoriya picked up another piece and read what's on it.
"We're really alike Shinjiro-san," He said out loud.
"I took it from you," Shinjiro said, causing Midoriya to look up at him. "You always went on and on about heroes and showing me your journals on them. So much so that I took an interest in it. Made my mom realize that I actually could be calculative and such. Well, she didn't really believe in my ability to do so after 'that'"
"'That?'" Midoriya's head tilted to the side.
"Ah, I said too much," Shinjiro snapped out of his little trance. "Come on, we should start reading these ideas and maybe one of them could be the way for you to not break any more arms!"
"Yea, I really don't want to be in a cast again..." Midoriya sweatdropped.
~{15 minutes later}~
"Ok this aint working out," Shinjiro said as he put down another file and rubbed his eyes. "Combining these ideas just seem to make everything worse don't you thi-"
He turned his head to Midoriya only to see the boy fast asleep on the couch. He pitied the boy, having gone through the battle trial and taking so many hits, of course, Midoriya would be exhausted.
Shinjiro sighed and got from the couch to get a spare blanket from his room. After covering the muffin, he picked up Midoriya's phone and decided to call his mother.
"Why do you have to keep all your passwords lying around somewhere?" Shinjiro mentally questioned, having just looked through his notebook to get the phone's password. He went into the phone contacts and called Midoriya's mom.
The phone rang for a couple of seconds before being picked up.
"Izuku, are you on the way back yet?" His mom asked.
"Hi, Ms Midoriya. This is um, Shinjiro," He awkwardly answered back.
"Shinjiro? Ah yes, his friend. What's going on? Where's Izuku?"
"Uh, unfortunately, he won't be able to come home tonight-"
"Why?! Is he okay?! What happened?!" She screamed over the phone, causing Shinjiro to pull away from the device.
"Ms Midoriya calm down! He's just fallen asleep on my couch!" Shinjiro tried not to scream so as to not wake the sleeping Midoriya. This seemed to calm the mother down a bit. "He's pretty exhausted from today's events so I think he won't be waking up anytime soon. Do you mind if he stays over for the night?"
"Oh, it's okay. I can come and pick him up. I don't want to trouble you-"
"And, I don't want to trouble you too. I live quite far from where you stay so I don't think it's the best idea to come and fetch him. Especially during this time of night." Shinjiro interjected. He knew what would happen if Midoriya's mom were to see him in the state he was in.
"Oh...okay. Are your parents okay with it?"
"I...live by myself so it's alright by me"
"A- Alright then. I'll leave him in your hands"
"Don't worry about it, Ms Midoriya"
"Please, call me Inko. And thank you Shinjiro-san, it's good to see Izuku has a good friend like you," Inko said before hanging up.
"Good...friend huh?" Shinjiro put his hand down and turned his head to look at Midoriya, who was sleeping peacefully on the couch with the blanket over him. Shinjiro smiled before deciding to turn off the lights to allow the boy to sleep.
"Seriously….you worry people too much," Shinjiro said before walking into his bedroom.
~{The next morning}~
"Ah! I fell asleep!" Midoriya woke up screaming, standing up from his comfy spot.
"Would you calm down? It's so early in the morning," Shinjiro yawned.
"Eh?" Midoriya realized what he said and covered his mouth. Shinjiro just carried on his daily routine and made breakfast for the both of them.
"I forgot to tell mom that I'd be-"
"As I said, calm down. I already called last night informing her you'll be saying the night here," Shinjiro explained. "Now sit down, I'm going to get noise complaints from the neighbors soon"
"S- Sorry," Midoriya sat back down. He calmly waited as Shinjiro brought him breakfast.
"Don't worry about it. Your arms feeling better now?" Shinjiro took a seat next to him on the couch.
"Y- Yea, they don't hurt a lot. I guess sleeping it off really worked," Midoriya moved his arm up and down. "Guess, I don't need the cast anymore huh? Recovery Girl is a savior"
"Still...we never did find a solution to it," Shinjiro said.
"Yea...but we're bound to somehow!"
"That's the spirit," Shinjiro said as he ate his breakfast.
"Sorry, Midoriya. Purposefully giving you shit ideas is another thing I need to do to help you," Shinjiro thought as he recalled his conversation with All Might yesterday.
Nothing eventful happened after; they finished eating breakfast, then got ready to go to school only for Midoriya to realize he completely wasn't ready and had to scramble. About 15 minutes later, they both were out of Shinjiro's apartment and taking the elevator down.
"Luckily, we're close to the school so even if we're delayed we can still make it in time," Shinjiro shoved his hands into his pocket.
"It's pretty convenient for you but for me...I have to travel pretty far to reach U.A," Midoriya yawned.
"Why can't they just have a dorm system or something," Shinjiro suggested. That happens a hundred chapters in, you're not allowed to spoil anything.
Everything was peaceful as they got out of the elevator and started a slow walk to U.A. That is until-
"Oh for crying out loud," Shinjiro grumbled as a bunch of reporters surrounded the U.A. gates talking to every student that tried entering. They were asking each and every single student about how All Might is as a teacher and other questions related to him.
The noise irritated Shinjiro, cross-marked veins popping up on his forehead. He grabbed Midoriya's hand and led him to somewhere where the reporters were far away from them.
"Um, why are we heading away from the entrance?" Midoriya asked as the chatter got quieter and quieter.
"Because any more noise and I'm blowing all of them away," Shinjiro responded. He stopped once they were far enough away from the entrance.
"You got your student pass with you?" To which the green-haired boy nodded. "Good, I'm going to throw you over the wall"
"Wait...what?!" Midoriya screamed in shock, which further irritated Shinjiro more. This caused the boy to grab Midoriya and yeet him over the wall, not letting the child mentally prepare.
Shinjiro jumped on top of the wall next, making sure to show his U.A. ID card in order for the alarms to not go off. He was about to jump down to where Midoriya was until he spotted something out of the corner of his eye. Having a bird's eye view of the situation at the front gates allowed him to see a man watching from the back lines. He had a black hoodie on so it was hard to see his face, but all Shinjiro got was nothing but bad vibes from the guy.
"Sh- Shinjiro-san!" Midoriya's muffled voice caught Shinjiro's attention. He looked down to see the boy comically stuck in the ground head first. Shinjiro turned back around to see that the mysterious figure had disappeared. He sighed before jumping down to help Midoriya.
Then the bells rang and soon everything was normal again, well, aside from the dozens of reporters still at the front gates. Everyone was accounted for in homeroom and Aizawa stood at the podium looking as done as he ever could.
"Decent work on yesterday's combat training yesterday. I went through each and every single one of the fights," He glanced over to the ticking time bomb. "Bakugo, I know you're a talented kid but try not to kill any more of your classmates"
"I know, I know..." The bomb looked down.
"And Midoriya..."
Midoriya instinctively flinched and looked down nervously. "Y- Yes?"
"I see the only way you won the match was breaking your arm again. You need to work harder, you can't keep breaking your body while training here. Make it a personal assignment to figure it out and master it."
"Right!" Midoriya looked back up with a look of confidence.
"Now that that's done...let's move on to something that could impact your future," Aizawa said.
The entire class turned blue and thought of the same thing. "Is it another quirk test?"
"You all need to decide on a class representative," Aizawa finished.
"Oh thank god, it's just normal school stuff," The class in unison let out a sigh of relief.
Then chaos erupted.
"I wanna be class representative. Pick me!" Kirishima jumped out of his seat.
"Me too!" Kaminari shouted.
"I wanna do it," Said a purple short-haired girl with long earlobes that resembled earphone jacks.
"Someone with sty-"
"Somebody pick me!"
Yea you get it. Everyone wants to be class representative so there was just shouting everywhere. Shinjiro, meanwhile, had his face on his desk and headphones on.
"So noisy," He grumbled. "I can hear them even with headphones on…."
"Silence everyone please!" Iida shouted, which got the attention of everyone in the class. "The class representative's duty is to lead others, it's not just something anyone can do. You must have the trust of every person here. Therefore, I say we hold an election to pick the leader"
Iida said with a slight shadow over his glasses and his hand raised. No, I am not making a joke about this, don't ask.
"Aren't you just wanting everyone to vote for you?" The class comically told him.
"But how are we going to pick? We've only known each other for a couple of days," Tsuyu asked.
"Isn't everyone just going to vote for themselves?" Kirishima asked.
"That's true but that means the person with the most votes is seen by some as the best possible leader," Iida explained before turning toward Aizawa. "Isn't that right sir?"
Aizawa zipped himself up back in his sleep bag. "Do whatever you want. As long as you pick somebody before homeroom ends"
Soon everyone was asking each other to vote for each other...it's confusing I know.
(Spongebob title card)
Eventually
Election Results
1st) Izuku Midoriya - 3
2st) Momo Yaoyorozu - 2
"3 people?!" Midoriya shouted in shock, jumping up from his seat in the process.
"Okay, who the fuck voted for that nerd?!" Bakugo jumped out of his seat as well.
He turned his head toward Shinjiro and gave him a death glare.
"Why are you looking at me? I didn't vote," Shinjiro admitted.
"You didn't?" The class comically shouted.
"Ow. Shut up, you're going to make my ears bleed," Shinjiro held his ears. "All of you guys were busy picking yourselves and it was pretty obvious from who knew who better. My vote wouldn't have mattered anyways, Midoriya was already going to win"
"How'd he think of that?" Most of the class shouted in their minds. Well, it's because of the drugs the author's on while writing this.
"What?!" Bakugo yelled in rage.
"I think I'm feeling a bit dizzy," Midoriya stood at the front of the class with Yaoyorozu.
"So the class representative will be Midoriya while Yaoyorozu will be the vice representative," Aizawa lazily said.
"This has to be some kind of m- mistake," Midoriya nervously shook.
"How'd this happen?" Yaoyorozu sighed.
~{Lunchtime}~
"Oh man, why is it so crowded in here," Uraraka complained.
"It can't be helped. Everyone in the school shares the same cafeteria." Iida said.
"You are coming to sit with us today!" Midoriya was seen dragging Shinjiro to their table before the boy went off to do whatever he wanted to do. Midoriya forced Shinjiro to sit down and gave him his lunch plate.
"Nice of you to join us Shinjiro-san!" Uraraka happily said.
"Just call me Shinjiro. No honorifics needed," Shinjiro then turned to Midoriya. "Did you really have to drag me over here? I have better things to do"
"What better things?" Midoriya asked.
"Training with Lunch Rush"
"EH?!" The entire table basically erupted.
"How?" Iida asked while moving his hands in a robotic motion. "How'd you get possibly the best chef in the world to train you?!"
"Simple. I cooked," Shinjiro raised a finger.
"Still that's crazy impressive how'd you-"
"Ayyy, Shinjiro my boy, how you doing?" As if on cue, Lunch Rush came...rushing over to the table, mainly Shinjiro.
"I'd say...peachy," He replied.
"Good for you! Whenever you need a lesson you can hop in anytime! If you want you can drop out of U.A. and I can make you the best cook in the world!" Lunch Rush said excitedly.
"...I'll think about it"
"Great! If you all need extras, you always get more. It's on the house! Anyways, I gotta go. Kitchen calls if you know what I mean!" And so Lunch Rush rushed back to the kitchen.
Shinjiro waved a hand at him as the hero left. He turned back to see the table just awkwardly staring at him.
"Can you not do that? It's weird," He commented.
All the extras went back into what they were doing, while the main three started asking questions.
"I'd like to not be the center of attention throughout this period," Shinjiro stated. "Midoriya, how'd you feel about getting class representative?"
"Well...I'm a little worried about it. I really don't think I'm qualified enough," Midoriya looked down.
"Of course you are!" Iida said. "Your quick thinking under stress and courage will make you a worthy leader. That's why I voted for you at least"
"You were vote number three?"
"Didn't you wanna be class rep?" Uraraka asked. "I mean you look the part, cause of the glasses"
"That's not exactly how we should be picking class reps," Midoriya sweatdropped.
"Wanting a job and being suited to it are completely different things. Being in the Iida family agency has taught me that much"
"Wait agency?" The two asked while Shinjiro raised a brow.
"What does your family do?" Midoriya asked.
"Tenya Iida..." Shinjiro muttered. "Ingenium...right?"
"Precisely! My older brother to be more exact"
"Woah! Your brother's Ingenium? The pro hero who has sixty-five sidekicks working alongside him at his Tokyo agency?" Midoriya started geeking out.
"Woah! No wonder you give off this rich vibe," Uraraka said.
"He is an unmatched commander who honors the hero code and has the qualities to lead people"
"So that's why you act so strict and formal!" Uraraka snapped her fingers, finally understanding.
"As the second oldest Iida son, I strive to be just like him," Iida declared.
"Strive to be like someone else huh..." Shinjiro muttered, knowing exactly where he's heard that phrase before.
"Hm?" Iida noticed Shinjiro's muttering. "Is something the matter?"
Shinjiro's eyes rose up to meet Iida's. "Nothing in particular. You just said you wanted to be just like him. Do you think you can yet?"
"Of course not. It's too soon for me to be in a real leadership role. That's why I picked Midoriya instead of myself"
"A contradiction." Shinjiro thought. You people should be able to put the clues together. I'm not serving a five course meal right this instance.
"I see but-"
A sudden loud bell rang throughout the cafeteria. The students all went quiet, some even shot up from their seats.
"There has been a level 3 security breach. All students please evacuate in an orderly fashion," The announcement speaker declared.
"What's a level three security breach?" Iida asked the nearest person.
"It means someone has trespassed on school grounds. There hasn't been anything like this in the three years I've been here!" The boy yelled before getting up from his seat and started running toward the exit.
Then all hell broke loose...again. Seriously, it's been a couple of days and hell's been broken like ten times already. Soon even hell itself is going to collapse. Cue the intense music boys.
It was just a giant flood of people rushing toward the exit, not caring who they were bumping into and just gunning for that exit.
The trio of Midoriya, Uraraka, and Iida were all trying to get to the exit as well. Due to Midoriya and Uraraka's...short stature, they were basically drowning in the mob.
"As expected of U.A's students. They are quick to react to everything," Iida pointed out.
"Yeah! Well, in this case, it's causing a huge panic-" Midoriya was quickly swept away by the mob.
"Deku!" Uraraka shouted only to be easily swept away by the mob. Is this 2012 right now?
Coincidentally, the pairing managed to find themselves in the sea of students. In an amazing fanservice moment, Uraraka was shoved which caused her to lose her balance in front of him.
"Uraraka!" Midoriya yelled before being the hero that he is, trying to save her from falling using his body. Fortunately, they didn't fall due to the bodies of people keeping them upright. Unfortunately, they were in the classic position of being pressed up against one another.
Midoriya tried to divert his eyes so as to not make things awkward. Still, his red face didn't really hide what was going on. This led to Uraraka turning equally as red as she to force themselves apart.
"S- Sorry, I'll try to-" Uraraka stuttered before being pushed back into Midoriya making this situation a whole lot more awkward than it already is.
"SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!" Midoriya, who was quiet the whole time, screamed internally.
Iida meanwhile, was forced to the window.
"What kind of person would infiltrate U.A?" He asked before peering outside the window. His eyes widened when he saw the press gathered up at the entrance. "I- It's the press!"
Aizawa and President Mic were trying to keep the press from getting to the root of the problem. Luckily, the problem isn't even at the school so thanks All Might.
"I was afraid it was some kind of attack on the school but," He turned his head to the flood.
"There's no need to worry everyon-" Iida was forced up against the glass before he had a chance to finish speaking. "Mmph!"
"Where are the teachers to quell this?" Iida wondered. "Am I the only one who figured out what's going on?"
He tried to tell everyone that everything was alright but his cries were silenced by the screaming and panic.
"What would Midoriya do in this situation? What would my brother do?" Iida questioned.
He then felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around to see none other than Shinjiro grabbing onto him.
"Shinjiro-san!"
"Oi, you were thinking about what your brother would do right?" Shinjiro managed to force his way to Iida thanks to his strength.
"What? How'd you-"
"No time for that. Forget thinking about what your brother would do! Think about what you would do"
Iida looked down. "What I would do...huh"
He looked back up at Shinjiro. "Help me get up there," He pointed towards a blue pole near the exit sign.
"Alright, then Ingenium wannabe-" He grabbed hold of Iida by putting his hand under the boy's armpits. "-FLY!"
Shinjiro then threw Iida high into the air allowing the boy to catch some air time. With a look of determination, Iida started up his engine boosts.
"Engine...Burst!" He let his boosters rip as he soared through the air, hoping to reach a vantage point so he could tell everyone to cool their jets. (I am...not funny)
Of course, you're not funny, stupid author. (I can kick you from the story you know)
Ah, p- please don't. I need this job, I have a family! (I don't care, now continue with the story or you're going to be begging on the streets)
*Gulp* Uh, anyways, o- once Iida reached the blue pole after doing multiple flips in the air, he grabbed onto it in a weird way.
"This is it!" He thought.
"LISTEN UP EVERYBODY!" He screamed at the top of his lungs which caught everyone's attention pretty fast. "Everything is going to be okay! It's just the media outside! There is absolutely nothing to worry about!"
The chaos had calmed down with everyone's eyes on Iida.
"We're U.A students! We need to remain calm and prove we're the best of the best! Now everyone please make your way back to your classrooms in an orderly fashion!" He yelled.
For once, screaming actually works as students begin to slowly but surely shuffle their way out of the cafeteria. Midoriya stared intensely at Iida before smiling. Uraraka gave a sigh of relief that it was all over. For a while, Midoriya and Uraraka never realized they were...up against each other until they turned to look at each other.
"Ah!" "Ee!" They both let go and jumped back.
Shinjiro just stared up at Iida as he tried to jump back down to the ground. Well, as you'd expect he failed and face-planted straight into the ground.
"You showed character development Iida. Too bad you won't be getting much for a while," Shinjiro had a small smile on his face before walking over to the fallen Iida and offered a hand, to which the boy gladly accepted.
"Iida, your glasses!" Kaminari came running up to the two and held up Iida's glasses which had fallen when he propelled his way to the vantage point.
"Thank you Kaminari," Iida thanked as sirens were heard in the background.
Soon the police had come to get rid of the media.
Lunch time's finally over and everyone was back in their classes. Midoriya and Yaoyorozu stood at the front of the class with the former shaking like crazy.
"It's time mister class rep, let's begin," Yaoyorozu said before looking down at the shaking Midoriya wondering in her mind how on earth this boy got picked.
"W- Well, w- we need to p- pick out the class officers," He stuttered. "But first...I have something to say"
Most of the class looked at him in confusion.
"I think that the true class rep should be Tenya Iida," Midoriya said, catching Iida's attention even more when he heard his name.
"It was by pure luck that I managed to get class rep but if anything Iida should be the one to have it. During lunch, he managed to get everyone in line and did well under the stress. He's also strict and follows the rules all the time," Midoriya looked straight at the engine boy. "You may not believe you can lead people, but I do."
Iida started crying comical tears of joy. "M- Midoriya!"
"Yea, he totally took charge there," Kirishima said.
"I think we'll be completely fine in his hands," Kaminari added.
"This is a massive waste of time," Aizawa said, ruining the mood. "Just hurry up and pick a class rep"
"If Midoriya chooses me to be class rep then..." Iida shot up from his seat with his hand raised. "I shall humbly accept and perform my duties as the class rep as best as possible!"
While everyone was pretty happy with their newly appointed class rep, Yaoyorozu was...feeling a little down is the way I would put it.
"But I got two more votes than him..." She whined.
The rest of the day was pretty simple, with Iida basically bossing everyone around to make sure everyone was at tip-top shape. It was disinteresting as you'd expect, it's not like this is the daily lives of U.A students.
Anyways, it was the end of the day and everyone was leaving school. Shinjiro decided to stay back for a while, thinking about how the press had seemingly got onto school grounds by themselves.
"It couldn't be...could it?" He muttered, remembering the hoodie guy at the front gates this morning.
"Shinjiro-san?" Midoriya asked, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"Hm?"
"Are you going home?"
"Yea...just thinking about a few things," Shinjiro sat up and slung his backpack around his shoulder.
"What things?" Midoriya asked as he walked towards the classroom door.
"Umm, cooking," Shinjiro smiled as he opened the door.
They carried a conversation all the way to the entrance of the school, those sneaky glass doors. That was until something, or someone caught Shinjiro's eyes.
"Hey...I'll see you tomorrow okay?" Shinjiro said without looking away from that certain someone.
"Y- Yea sure, see ya!" Midoriya smiled before walking out of the doors.
Shinjiro walked away from the glass doors before coming face to face with a couple of girls who were about to leave, one being mysteriously familiar. It seemed she had also noticed Shinjiro's presence too, stopping in her tracks.
"Ayano?" One of her friends asked.
"I'll catch up with you guys later okay?" Ayano said as her friends nodded and walked past Shinjiro, barely noticing the boy.
It was pretty awkward between the two, who were staring at each other for what seemed like a long time.
"So," "So," They said at the same time.
"M- My bad" "M- My bad"
They looked at each other one more time before letting out a laugh.
"What so flustered to see me?" Shinjiro teased.
"Weren't you the one to come up to me?" Ayano retorted.
"I guess so..." Shinjiro rubbed the back of his head while Ayano chuckled.
"Still, it's glad to see you again y'know"
"Yeah, I clearly passed," Shinjiro said before getting ready to say what was on his mind. "Hey...are you free this weekend?"
"Hm?" Ayano said, confused. "Ara~ What's this, are you asking me out on a date?"
"Something like that..." Shinjiro looked down.
She noticed the change in his behaviour. "What's wrong?"
Shinjiro looked back up and shook his head. "Nothing, so...it's a date?"
"You bet," She smiled back before realizing what she said, turning red instantly. "D- don't think it's actually going to be a d- date you know! I- It's just me being nice to you cause you saved me that day!"
"You massive tsundere," Shinjiro chuckled.
And so, with one of the classic anime tropes out of the way it was time for everyone to go their separate ways. But this chapter's not over yet folks, we have heard your calls for longer screen time and longer character interactions. That's where we shall find Shinjiro going back home. And no, this isn't because I'm being held at gunpoint.
No, there is no fighting scene or anything like that. Just plain-
"I'm home," Shinjiro said to no one in particular. Wait...that was just to shut me up wasn't it?
"Yup"
Oh you bast-
"Welcome back Shinjiro-kun," Nezu smiled, sitting on the couch like he used to before.
"Oh, Nezu...I didn't expect you being here"
"Come, sit," Nezu gestured.
"What's up?" Shinjiro asked after sitting down.
"I wish to warn you," Nezu said in a serious manner.
"Warn me? About what?" Shinjiro perked up, raising a brow.
"We figured out how the media got in," Nezu said. "Turns out someone had completely crumbled the school gates into nothing"
"So...are you saying someone managed to slip in while the press was causing a ruckus?"
Nezu nodded, "There is a possibility of that happening but it could have meant a declaration of war against us. Did you notice anything after jumping over that wall?"
Shinjiro was slightly taken aback at how Nezu had known how he snuck past the media but it wasn't the time to ask.
"There was… although he had a hoodie on so it was impossible to see his face. All I know is that he was in all black clothing," Shinjiro recalled.
"I see," Nezu noted. "I'll make sure the teachers stay on high alert"
"But...why are you telling me this?" Shinjiro asked.
"It might be possible that you're connected to this as well," Nezu jumped down from his seat.
"What?" Shinjiro stood up as Nezu walked a couple of steps away sipping his tea.
"Now there's no concrete evidence of this but… I have to say weird things have been happening ever since you and Midoriya came along"
"I can't argue with that..."
"I wish for you to be cautious going forward," Nezu advised. "And for you to show everyone what a hero you will be"
Shinjiro scoffed. "Still going on about all that hero stuff huh? You know I don't do that stuff"
"I understand but I still have faith that you will," Nezu said, walking to the door.
"You're not going to stay?" Shinjiro asked.
"I'd love to but my ride downstairs is waiting for me," Nezu said.
"You got a new car?"
"Even better," Nezu slipped on a pair of shades. "A limo, see you tomorrow Shinjiro-kun!"
With that, Nezu made his way out of the apartment with pure drip. Yea, I don't know anymore this chapter's getting worse the longer it drags on. Let's just end this already.
"Well...that was weird," Shinjiro said to himself. "But also concerning..."
He put a hand to his chin. "It seems I'll need to furnish it another time..."
To what that is we will never know. Until the next chapter that is…
So how'd you like this chapter? It's a massive pain putting in lines from the actual anime into this movie to be as accurate as possible but it's happened! Anyways, to make up for the lack of Omakes last chapter, I wanted to give all you beautiful people out there two this time!
Also, this will be most likely be the end of the Omakes for the time being! Because y'know all the serious USJ stuff is about to happen and putting an Omake at the end of the seriousness will ruin the mood. But anyway, I hope you enjoy it and normally I don't ask for reviews but please review. It gives me sanity to write this, also convinces me to use more drug power- I mean brain power
Omake, I guess!
What was Shinjiro doing during lunch?
The bells were ringing and everyone was rushing towards the exit. All but one person…
With a final spoonful Shinjiro had finally finished his lunch.
"Thanks for the meal!" Shinjiro thanked.
"E- eh? Where did everyone go?" Shinjiro looked up, seeing all the people around him had left their tables.
He let out a sigh.
"All this food gone to waste..." Shinjiro clapped his hands together.
"Welp, ITADAKIMASU!"
And now we know where Shinjiro was all this while. Once he had gotten to Iida, he was looking like a rip off anime protagonist.
Omake, I guess!
What Ayano has been up to these past few chapters!
"I'll see you guys tomorrow, bye bye!" Ayano waved at her friends.
You'd think she'd go home after a long day at school. But it seems that's not the case here. Her phone made a noise.
Shinjiro had texted her asking if she was free, but she replied no and that she had something important to do. So what was this important thing you might ask?
Well…
"Yakusoku no kotoba
Zutto koko ni aru kara
Nando demo te o nobasu n da
Boku ga egaku ashita e"
Yea, Ayano was in a karaoke room. Bonus points to know where the song came from. (Hint: It's a Gundam song good luck lol)
Well, now you know what she's been up to these past few chapters. What has she been doing aside from that?
Well...let's just save that for another story another day.
