We're back baby! That's right, I managed to pull out a chapter using my dead brain.

Unfortunately, it's a pretty short chapter sooooo I'm sorry? Okay, well I have answers. I'm actually in the middle of moving right now so I didn't have much time to write at all since y'know, we're packing. It was another miracle that I managed to pack this chapter up before I move (Haha funny joke okay ok)

I promise we'll get to the tournament arc next chapter with it actually being longer and not as fast paced and shit. Alright, now onto the chapter that you all so cravingly need.

Well...it seems we're back with season two of My Hero Academia-

"Cut the crap, we all know what's going on"

Oh right, *ahem*. We currently have a bedridden Shinjiro-

"It's the next day! They said I could go to school already," Shinjiro sighed as he walked down a street. His uniform hid his injury in case anyone would make a big deal out of it to save him some embarrassment by retelling the incident. "Ugh, this is such a headache..."

Rikona had taken Ayano back home when they visited him at the hospital so Shinjiro had to endure being lonely for the night.

"Don't say I'm lonely," But aren't you talking to silly old me right now? "I hate everything..."

"Good morning Shinjiro-san!" A voice came from behind him.

"Oh, Midoriya. Good morning," Shinjiro greeted the boy who walked to his side.

"Are you feeling okay? The USJ attack was only a couple days ago after all," Midoriya asked.

"I'm alright, I didn't get hurt after all. How are you holding up?"

"Well...everything is still pretty sore but other than that I'm good to go!"

"That's good to hear," Shinjiro pulled out his phone after feeling it vibrate in his pocket.

"Hey..." Midoriya said, catching Shinjiro's attention. "After seeing what had happened with All Might-"

"Don't..." Shinjiro sighed. "We'll talk about it later but yes. Time is limited. If you're going to make use of that power, you need to make it yours."

Midoriya nodded with determination written all over his face.

"But for now..." Shinjiro said before putting his phone back in his pocket. "We need to get to class before Aizawa has our heads"

"Eh? But isn't Aizawa sensei in the-"

"Hush child. You don't know the capabilities of that man," Shinjiro said, an unnoticeable dread crossing his face.

About a couple of minutes later they were both in the classroom sitting down in their respective seats.

"Hey, did you guys watch the news last night?" Hagakure asked. "For a second the entire class was on. But I didn't stand out at all did I?"

"True," Shoji said.

"W- Well, it's kinda hard to stand out in that hero costume," Ojiro said, trying to salvage the situation.

"She's back to being invisible again..." Shinjiro thought, staring at the invisible girl with curiosity. "Then how come I could...?"

"But, all the news channels were covering that incident right?" Kaminari said.

"I was shocked," Kirishima added.

"It can't be helped. The hero course that the pros created was attacked." Jiro explained.

Sero plopped his head on the desk. "I wonder what would have happened if the teachers didn't come in time"

"Stop it Sero!" Mineta cried. "If you talk about it anymore I might actually pee my pants"

"Shut up you scumbag!" Bakugo screamed, frightening the boy even more. Maybe he actually pissed his pants this time.

"Alright! Everyone! Homeroom is about to start!" Iida came running towards the front of the room. "Please keep quiet and take your seats!"

"We're all sitting down"

"You're the only one that's not," Shinjiro added. Iida sat down in his seat begrudgingly after that embarrassment.

"Hey, Tsu, who do you think is gonna be teaching today's class?" Ashido asked, leaning back to talk to the frog girl.

"True. Since Aizawa sensei is supposedly in the hospital," She said.

"Hehe, suckers won't know what hit them..." Shinjiro thought. Just then the door to the class opened up revealing a very bandaged Aizawa.

"Morning," He replied back in his usual monotone voice. Pretty much every part of him was bandaged and his bandages wrapped around his head obscuring his face.

"Aizawa sensei you're back so soon?" the entire class shouted in disbelief.

"What the hell? I know he's a pro but this is too much," Kaminari said.

"Sensei! Are you okay?" Iida raised his hand while asking the question.

"I don't think you can classify that as ''okay," Uraraka said.

"My welfare isn't important right now," Aizawa said as he made his way to the podium. "Moreover, our battle isn't over yet"

The class tensed up.

"Battle?" Bakugo said, intrigued.

"Could it be?" Midoriya worried.

"The villains again?" Mineta panicked like he always does.

"Can you all stop overreacting"

"The UA sport festival is around the corner," Aizawa stated, although I can't really tell what his facial expression is.

"Finally a normal school festival!" The entire class shouted happily.

"Yes! Finally-" Kirishima was quickly cut off by Kaminari.

"Wait wait!"

"Is it okay to have a sports festival after we've gone through a villain attack?" Jiro questioned.

"What if they attack us again?" Ojiro added.

"Bye going through with this event, we want to prove that UA's crisis management system is outstanding," Aizawa explained. "Security will be five times stronger this year. Besides, the sports festival is a big chance for all of you. It wouldn't be canceled thanks to some villains"

"No, let's just cancel it," Mineta said, a curtain of dread rushing over him. "It's just a festival of sports"

"Eh? Mineta, do you not know what it is?" Midoriya turned around and asked the boy.

"Of course I do but that's not what I meant"

"Our sports festival is one of Japan's biggest events," Aizawa continued. "The Olympics used to be called the festival of sports, and it excited the entire country. Now it's reduced in scale and population and it's just a mere formality. Currently, the UA sports festival has taken the place of the Olympics"

"Ah yes, exposition for something that we already know," Shinjiro thought.

"All the top heroes in the country will be watching for scouting purposes," Yaoyorozu said.

"Then, once we graduate we'll be able to be recruited into the top pro agencies!" Kaminari pumped his fists.

"Of course he'll be watching too..." Shinjiro thought as he clenched his fists.

"Of course, being in a popular hero agency will provide more experience and popularity. Time is limited. If you're chosen by a pro, it immediately opens up your future. Once a year, there are only three chances. No aspiring hero can let this chance slip by," Aizawa stated. "If you have the will, be sure to prepare!"

"Yes, sir!" The class shouted.

"Oh well… time to fail the festival huh?" Hey, wait. You can't just say you want to fail the sports festival, how are we gonna have a story? "You'll find a way. Plus, even if I did fail it would just be a minor setback to *his* plan"

"Homeroom is dismissed," Aizawa promptly snapped Shinjiro out of his thinking.

~{Lunch Time}~

The sports festival was all everyone could talk about, from really wanting to be scouted to wanting to stand out in the crowd. Speaking of standing out…

"Hey, Shinjiro!"

"Hm?" He looked up seeing the invisible girl standing right in front of his desk.

"I really need to stand out! Otherwise, the pros won't see me. Do you have any ideas?" She excitedly... or nervously waved her hands around.

"Why are you asking me?"

"W- Well...you seem like the type of person to know..." Hagakure stuttered.

"And what made you come to that conclusion?"

"W- Well you just seem pretty cool and stuff…." Her voice trailed off at the end as she started to...put her fingers together. That's probably what she's doing.

Shinjiro sighed. "You should just be yourself. If you try to do something that's not you then you won't be able to stand out at all."

"Ah! Okay! Thank you, Shinjiro!" Hagakure said as she snapped back into her life-full self.

"Wow, everyone sure is fired up," Midoriya said, having the time to insert himself into the conversation.

"Oh, so now you wanna pop up," Shinjiro turned his head to meet his fellow comrade.

"W- Well you didn't exactly give me a good time to say anything-"

"Midoriya! Let's do our best!" Iida said as he popped into frame.

"H- Hai!"

"What kind of way is that to get fired up?" Shinjiro questioned as Iida was currently squatting up and down.

"Deku...Iida..." Uraraka said with a menacing purple aura emitting from her. What is she Jojo now? "Let's do our best during the festival!"

"Your face...Uraraka..." Midoriya pointed out in shock.

"What's wrong?" Ashido flung up from her seat. "Your face isn't Uraraka at all"

Uraraka stomped her foot and raised up a fist, her eyes covered by her hair but still flashing a bright white. "Everyone, I'll give it my best!"

"That's...new," Midoriya thought.

"Great, I'm hanging out with a bunch of idiots," Shinjiro sweatdropped at the sight. "Why couldn't I be put with the random extras?"

"Everyone! We should head to lunch this instant!" Iida shouted, getting the group's attention.

"That's right, we should," Midoriya agreed. Soon the small group of four made it down the hallway heading towards the cafeteria. Although, before they could reach there, Midoriya suddenly remembered something he wanted to ask.

"Ah, Uraraka-san."

"Hm? What is it?" She replied.

"I just wanted to ask why you wanted to come to UA to become a pro hero?"

"Huh?!" She flinched. "Wh- Why are you asking?"

"Well, I saw you become so fired up by the upcoming sports festival so I kind of got curious," Midoriya rubbed the back of his head.

"U- Um… the reason..." She stuttered as she nervously turned her head to face Midoriya.

"Money?" He uttered after she told the group her reasoning.

"Ultimately yes..." She nervously rubbed the back of her head. "I- I'm sorry if I sounded selfish. You all have good motives...I'm so embarrassed..."

"Why? What's wrong with building your goals around your livelihood?" Iida interjected.

Midoriya nodded. "But, it was a bit unexpected"

"I'm guessing it's some kind of financial situation?" Shinjiro asked.

Uraraka covered her face in shame. "W- Well, my family owns a construction company but we don't have any work so we're poor. M- Maybe, I shouldn't be saying this..."

Midoriya suddenly had a bright idea. "With your quirk, her certificate would help cut costs. Especially since your Zero Gravity can help with construction work"

"Yeah! That's what I told them but..." Uraraka talking about the topic seemed to turn the mood sour. She had a sad look as she remembered her parents wanting her to follow her own dreams instead of letting her help them out.

She gripped her skirt tightly before looking up with a serious expression. "I want to become a hero and make money so my mom and dad can take it easy"

The three boys stared at her for a while before Iida's hands clapped together.

"Bravo! Uraraka!" He happily clapped after hearing her motivation.

Midoriya smiled. "Not only is it her aspiration but she's also taking reality into consideration."

Too bad the nice scene was quickly disrupted after a booming voice was heard.

"Young Shinjiro, Young Midoriya! I've finally found you!" All Might said, running at them like a father going to pick up his children.

The group turned their heads to find All Might peeking around a corner pointing at them.

"A- All Might? What are you doing here?" Midoriya asked.

"Lunch!" He held up a blue lunch box close to him. "Wanna eat together?"

"What are you a maiden?" Shinjiro's eye twitched at the sight.

"What a girl!" Uraraka burst into laughter.

Midoriya turned his head to Iida who gave him a nod of approval.

"We'd love to," He said walking towards All Might.

Shinjiro meanwhile, started to walk in the opposite direction before getting grabbed and comically dragged across the hallway by Midoriya.

"No you don't Shinjiro-san," He sternly said.

"But I don't wanna~" The boy whined.

"You can and you will," Midoriya simply said. The two left behind sweatdropped at the sight.

"Hey, what do you think he wants to talk to Deku and Shinjiro about?" Uraraka asked.

"Well, I heard they went up against a couple of villains to protect All Might from getting anymore injured after fighting that Nomu," Iida explained. "Plus, you remember what Asui said on the bus? Their transcendence power is similar so maybe that's why he favours Midoriya more"

"Yeah, maybe that's it!" Uraraka said as they walked to lunch.

Unbeknownst to the pair, there was a certain half and half boy watching from behind a corner.

"All Might,Shinjiro, and…." He looked down. "Midoriya Izuku..."

~{Teacher's Lounge}~

Shinjiro was dropped onto the couch by Midoriya who followed suit. They were in the teacher's lounge which was pretty much what you would expect for a teacher's lounge. All Might had shrunken back down into his skinny form and was currently pouring some tea out into a cup.

"Tea?" He offered.

"Y- Yes please," Midoriya generously accepted.

"No thanks. I'm not a big fan of tea," Shinjiro declined, leaving Toshinori to leave one for himself. "What was the reason for calling us Toshinori? It couldn't just be for lunch right?"

The man sighed. "Unfortunately, I wish it was just lunch. It turns out that fighting that Nomu the other day took a lot out of me"

He proceeded to tell them about how the time limit of his power had significantly decreased. Plus, the fact that he now barely has enough time to teach a lesson without losing his muscle form.

"I'm sorry," Midoriya said.

"Don't apologize young Midoriya. We are alike after all, you and I," Toshinori waved his hand. "That's not all. I've been meaning to check up on young Shinjiro here"

"Uhh, what do you mean?" Shinjiro said, confused.

"Nezu told me about yesterday," He stated before Shinjiro immediately cut him off.

"Dammit! I knew it! I knew he'd tell you! Gahh! I'm such an idiot!" The teen ranted before slapping himself in the head a couple of times. However, before he could continue this self-harm, his shoulder started to ache causing him to clutch it.

"Eh? Shinjiro-san are you okay?" Midoriya asked, wanting to help out.

"D- Don't worry about it…it's no big deal," Shinjiro said.

"Sorry, I thought you knew he'd tell me," Toshinori apologized, rubbing the back of his head.

"I think it's safe to assume Nezu would just tell everyone without consulting me first"

"Eh? What do you guys mean by that?" Midoriya was basically lost in the conversation.

Shinjiro sighed. "Looks like I have to tell you now…even if I didn't wanna," He muttered that last sentence underneath his breath.

A quick fast forward of a story later and-

"A- Are you okay now?!" Midoriya asked worryingly. "You should stay in bed for a couple more days-"

"I'm fine, I'm fine. It'll take a lot more to kill me. The only way I'm going out is stopping the world from exploding with a self-sacrifice"

"That's oddly specific," Midoriya pointed out.

"Don't worry about it"

"More importantly," Toshinori coughed, getting their attention. "The sports festival. You still can't control One For All can you?"

Midoriya seemingly choked on his drink after remembering something important. "Th- There was that one time, where I smashed that villain and there was no backlash. It was a full 100% and I didn't break my arm!"

"Oh right! Do you remember if anything was different?" Toshinori blurted out, surprised by this advancement.

"W- Well…" Midoriya looked down with a serious look on his face. "It's the first time…I've ever used it on a person"

"I see…" Toshinori put a hand on his chin.

"Actually it was the second time," Shinjiro interjected. "If we count that one time"

"Huh?" Toshinori said surprised.

"Oh right…" Midoriya rubbed the back of his head. "I used my finger at 100% on Shinjiro's armor to test its strength"

"That's dangerous and you know it," Toshinori countered. "You should know that you can't use your quirks in public. What if young Shinjiro was injured?"

"I- I'm sorry…" Midoriya apologized.

"Don't apologize, Midoriya. I wanted him to test out the suit to see how durable it was so in reality it was my fault for making it happen," Shinjiro said.

"Either way, don't do it again unless you have adult supervision around," Toshinori instructed. "Especially me because we can figure out how One For All can be the most efficient for young Midoriya"

"H- Hai…"

"However, that doesn't really count seeing as it's a projectile and I could have easily dodged. Plus, you didn't want to hurt me so you most likely subconsciously held back. The Nomu was the first time you actually tried to punch him," Shinjiro said in thought.

"Well, it seems like you succeeded in unconsciously putting a brake on yourself at that time," Toshinori said. "Whatever, either way, it's still some progress made. That's good"

The hero then got up from his seat and made his way to the window. "The villains out there are starting to realize I'm getting weaker. My time as the symbol of peace is very limited, that's why I bestowed my power upon you young Midoriya."

He turned to face the boys. "The UA sports festival where all the pro heroes, no, the entire country will be watching. That's why we're having this talk."

Midoriya started to feel the pressure weighing down on him. He felt like he was taking a trip through the powers of One For All, the colorful beam striking through evil.

"The next generation's All Might. Midoriya Izuku… I want you to show the world that's you!" He pointed straight at the poor boy who was practically shaking out of his boots.

"I know, that was supposed to be a powerful moment but I'm starting to think I'm being left out," Shinjiro said, ruining the damn moment.

"Ah-" Toshinori said. "I- It seems I forgot you were here young Shinjiro. I apologize"

"Heh, don't worry about it old man," He then slung an arm over Midoriya and pointed to the ceiling. "We'll make you the top hero in the entire world! And I'll be your trusted sidekick"

Midoriya laughed, appearing fine after his almost nervous breakdown. "I'd prefer if you became the number one hero instead-"

"Nope! I'll be number two then!"

"Then you better try during the sports festival," Midoriya shot back.

"Then you better try your damn hardest to get your name out there!" Shinjiro laughed.

Toshinori smiled at their interaction, it seems like a serious atmosphere will never be kept with these goofballs.

"Hey, wait…" He suddenly realized something. "Did you just call me old man?"

Shinjiro froze. "Uhhh no?"

Oh boy, you done goofed up now. Things happened in that room only the three of them know about.

"Maybe let's not call any pro hero old anymore," Shinjiro thought.
