Yo yo, welcome back. I know you missed me but yes we're back and steaming through the competition. It's a shorter chapter this time round since we're only watching the Todoroki vs Midoriya fight. After that, it's back to long chapters...probably... probably as fast as possible because it's already May and man needs to get to Stain ASAP. Man I'm getting bored of this tournament, and I'm the one writing it.

But anyways, enjoy folks!

"And start!" Mic shouted.

Todoroki stomped his foot down and released a stream of ice right at Midoriya.

"Smash!" Midoriya lifted up his arm and flicked his finger.

A burst of air flew out of his finger and shattered the growing icicles in front of him, the wind carried on and hit Todoroki. He defended himself by creating an ice barrier behind him so he wouldn't be blown away by the wind. Can't say the same about the audience though.

"It's too strong!"

"Even the wind can be this cold?"

The audience was practically getting a winter breeze while trying not to be blown away.

"Midoriya with a strong counterattack to Todoroki's ice!"

After the winds died down, Todoroki looked back at Midoriya.

"As expected, his finger's…" Todoroki thought.

Midoriya clutched his broken finger as he readied up another attack. Todoroki stamped his foot down and launched another wave of ice at him.

"Smash!" He flicked another finger, effectively breaking it and all the ice rushing at him.

"100% smashes…" Shinjiro narrowed his eyes. "He's going to run out of fingers"

"Smash!" Midoriya yelled, flicking another finger to stop another wave of ice.

"Five more chances left!" Midoriya reeled back in pain. "I have to wear him down!"

He recalled back to when they were fighting the villains. After Todoroki had constantly put up ice walls to break through Kurogiri's fog, he was fatigued which was something Midoriya noticed.

"Come on Todoroki!" Midoriya thought as he dodged an ice stream, not wanting to waste all of his chances.

As soon as he had dodged the attack, Todoroki ran forward and started to turn the ground into ice for him to maneuver over. The ice slowly went higher and higher until Todoroki was right on top of Midoriya.

"He's waiting for me to smash it!" Midoriya thought as he subconsciously gathered One For All into his legs. Green electricity started to spark off its overwhelming power.

"That won't work!" Midoriya shouted as he jumped as high as he could. However, instead of breaking his legs, he managed to reach Todoroki's height.

"Young Midoriya…" Toshinori thought as he saw him use his power without breaking any limbs.

"He's getting the hang of it now. If only he could be more consistent…use that microwave to your advantage," Shinjiro silently observed.

"He-" Todoroki's eyes widened as Midoriya grabbed onto him with a non-broken hand and pulled him off the ice platform.

Both of them landed on the ground with a massive thud. Both struggled to stand up from the hard fall. Todoroki pressed his palm into the ground and ice shot from underneath him and slowly started to encompass Midoriya, who was still struggling to get up due to his broken fingers.

"Todoroki has managed to solidify Midoriya in an ice cube! It's just like his first match, will Midoriya be able to get out?!"

"D- Dammit!" Midoriya cursed, the ice was slowly freezing him over so he needed to make a move fast. His right arm was the first to get frozen so he had to use his left arm which was already bandaged to breakthrough. He empowered it with One For All and lifted it as far as his arm would let him before slamming it down into the ice.

The ending resulted in all the ice getting shattered, its shards flying everywhere as everyone covered their eyes from the deadly snowflakes. Todoroki, himself, had held up his arm and covered his eyes. Just for safety, he had also formed an ice wall behind him.

Todoroki lowered his arm to see what kind of state Midoriya was in.

"What?!" His pupils dilated.

"I'm…not….done…" Midoriya grunted as he lifted himself off the ground. His arm was completely broken, and he was looking worse for wear. After he got up, he stumbled before regaining his footing and stared right at Todoroki.

"..." Todoroki kept silent as he lifted up a hand, ready to shoot another ice wave at him.

"You're shaking…" Midoriya uttered.

Todoroki flinched. He looked over to his hand, starting to be frozen over, his strength slowly fading away.

"You've…hit your limit haven't you?" Midoriya looked into the boy's eyes. "But the only way to negate that limit…"

Todoroki glared into Midoriya's emerald eyes as if telling him to shut up about the fire.

"Everyone is giving it their all…to be number one!" Midoriya weakly lifted his right hand up. "Winning with only half your power? Don't give me that bullshit!"

"Shut up!" Todoroki sent another powerful ice wave in his rage.

Midoriya lifted his broken finger and flicked. Todoroki's eyes widened as his attack was destroyed once again but it wasn't his attack that he was worried about.

"You…used your broken finger. Why?" He spat.

"Because…I'm giving it my all," His finger was turning purple now from using One For All twice. "But you aren't!"

"Trying to make me use my other side… Did that old man pay you off as well?!" Todoroki shouted as he ran at Midoriya.

"His movements are getting sloppy," Midoriya thought as Todoroki ran significantly slower due to the ice build-up around his body.

"It's not like that! You know it isn't!" Midoriya shouted.

"Shut up!" Todoroki threw a punch at him, forcing Midoriya to dodge.

The boy cocked his fist back, empowering it with One For All.

"Imagine…the microwave. It won't break, it won't break!" He chanted in his head as he launched his fist forward. The fist instantly connected with Todoroki's face, causing him to be sent feet away.

He hit the floor, hard, and rolled across the floor before coming to a stop just outside of the arena's edge. If it wasn't for a last second ice barrier, he would have been out of bounds already.

"Why won't you use it?!"

"It's his quirk!" Todoroki spat. He pushed himself up as more ice started to cover his body. "I don't need his quirk to win. I'll prove it…and reject him completely!"

He stomped his foot down as ice shot up, but Midoriya easily dodged it since the ice was starting to get slower. The ice boy used this chance to jump at Midoriya and grabbed him, causing them to roll on the floor.

"He's…really not using it," Midoriya grunted as he threw Todoroki off him. He felt his left arm getting colder and looked down, seeing ice building up on it. Still, he kept going.

"Reject him completely? Stop…being an idiot!" Midoriya threw his whole body onto Todoroki and knocked him away, leaving them right in the middle of the arena.

"Why? Why are you going so far? What are you trying to pull here?!" Todoroki yelled as he stood up, out of breath.

"Because…" Midoriya panted. He lifted his head and glared at Todoroki. "...I want to become a true hero"

His words seemed to trigger a memory, or memories inside Todoroki. He saw himself as a child, taking beating after beating from his father. Being trained to surpass All Might, took a toll on him.

His mind seemed to fast forward, wanting to block all those painful memories. Now, he was a child again, hugging his mother as he sobbed.

"I don't want to be like dad. I don't want to become someone that bullies you mom!"

His mom simply lifted her hand and gently caressed his hair.

"But you want to be a hero right?" She said.

That got him to stop crying into her chest and looked up at her.

"You can become one…if you have a future you feel strongly about"

Todoroki was snapped out of his thoughts when Midoriya delivered another punch to his gut. He grunted as his stomach started to twist, being punched in the gut sucked. He fell on his back as Midoriya continued to yell at him.

"I may not fully understand your problems or determination, but that doesn't mean you can act so half-assed!"

Green electricity surged around him as he dashed forward, even faster than ever, and landed another punch to Todoroki's chest.

As he flew through the air, time seemed to slow as he recalled another one of his memories. This time, he was eavesdropping on a conversation his mom was having with another person on the phone.

"I'm going crazy…Every day they're becoming more like 'him'! Shoto's…his left side…sometimes it becomes unbearable for me…I can't raise them anymore. I shouldn't!"

"M- Mom…?" Young Todoroki squeaked, getting his mom's attention.

What happened next is unfortunately too graphic to show in detail but the result of it was the scar on his face.

Time sped up and now he was on the ground, holding his chest in pain. More memories of his life seemed to flash by as he got up on one knee.

He put a hand to his face, or more specifically, his scar. He trembled remembering the day he rejected using his fire.

"He…he made her do this to me… I won't use my father's quirk-"

"But it's not his power right?!" Midoriya interjected.

Todoroki's eyes widened as he glanced up at Midoriya.

"Sure it may be from him…but you get to decide who uses it right? What to use that power for. Who decides it?!"

"..." Todoroki stayed silent, not knowing what to say.

Midoriya took a deep breath in. "STOP BEING WEIGHED DOWN BY HIM! IT'S YOUR QUIRK!"

For one final time, Todoroki's mind seemed to dig deeper into his memory. He was sitting on the couch with his mother watching tv. All Might was there, saving people from a fire as always. But what hit harder was what he said in a voiceover.

"Children can inherit quirks from their parents. But…what's important is not the connection but what matters is your own flesh and blood! That you recognise that it's your own."

The tv screen showed All Might giving everybody watching a thumbs up.

"With that in mind, this is what I say: 'I am here!'"

His mother's words rung in his ear.

"But you want to be a hero, don't you? It's okay for you to become one"

"How could I have forgotten the most important thing…"

Tears streamed down his face, but it wasn't turning into ice. Rather, some water droplets started to evaporate…then the ice. The ice around his heart started to melt…he could finally feel the warmth he'd so desperately needed.

"Helping out the enemy? Whose being the fool now?" He said as his left side erupted in flames.

"Woah! Th- This is!?" Mic shouted.

Everyone in the audience was shocked.

"He- He used it…" Iida said in awe.

Shinjiro leaned back in his seat and smiled.

"Of course, you'd help him…Deku…"

Toshinori watched the flames envelop the stadium. He stared in absolute wonder before smiling to himself. "You made him use his left side…You really wanted to save Young Todoroki after all."

"But still…I want to be a hero!" Todoroki grinned despite his tears streaming down his face.

Midoriya stared in awe that Todoroki's stubbornness was finally defeated. He smiled back even though he knew he was going to have a more difficult time fighting.

Endeavor had a one of a kind smile on his face, the kind that's not good.

"SHOTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He shouted as he looked up in the air, his own flames erupting like a volcano.

"H- Huh?" Mic said in confusion, along with the rest of the audience when they watched the flaming hero walk down the steps.

"So you've finally accepted me? That's right, good job! This is your origin, take my blood and surpass me! Take it and fulfill my ambition!" He shouted, his pupils dilating as his flames grew hotter.

Fortunately, neither Todoroki nor Midoriya were paying attention to him.

"Endeavor are you finally sending encouragement? You must be a proud father," Mic spoke his mind.

"Amazing…" Midoriya uttered as the flames seemed to captivate him like a moth to the flame.

"Why are you smiling?" Todoroki asked. "In this situation and with that injury?"

Midoriya's face stiffened up as he readied himself.

"You've gone crazy. I won't be responsible for what happens next," Todoroki stomped his foot on the ground and got into some kind of heroic pose. Ice and flames erupted from both sides of his body as he unleashed his full power.

Midoriya did the same, empowering his legs with One For All and whatever remaining arms he has working. Green electricity surged off his body as he felt a sudden rush of adrenaline. He felt like he could do it, he still had a chance.

"Midnight!" Cementoss shouted, frantically using his quirk to try and make concrete barriers to stop the two from killing each other.

"I know!" She shouted, tearing off a sleeve from his costume allowing her quirk to start making it's way to the contestants.

A giant wave of ice shot out from Todoroki as it made its way to Midoriya, who in return, jumped the entire wave with his strength and flew straight at the hot and cold boy.

"One hit's all I need!" He focused all his energy into his right arm, tearing the sleeve off his uniform.

"Midoriya…" Todoroki's exploded into flames and sent a torrent of it straight at Midoriya.

"SMASH!"

"Thank you…"

Cement raised up from the ground as the two forces met in the middle. I can't honestly, tell you what happens but all you need to know is that a fucking massive explosion happened. It should have destroyed the stadium but it didn't, it should have definitely injured or killed someone but it didn't. All the happened was bright lights and a hurricane blasting throughout the arena.

People were trying not to fly out of their seats. Everyone was holding on to dear life. Midnight had flown out of her stand while Cementoss built up a barrier to protect himself. All round just chaos during this fight.

"Dammit Midoriya…" Shinjiro thought as he came out from behind the seats, having hid under the seats while everyone was being blown away. "Can we just chill with the wind and explosions?"

Eventually the winds died down and everyone could see what was going on. The aftermath was that the entire arena was filled with smoke, no one could see what happened so they waited patiently.

"What the hell?" Mic shouted. He had fallen out of his seat adn was currently upside down. "What's wrong with your class EraserHead?!"

"The cooled air was suddenly heated up and so it expanded," Aizawa calmly explained.

"And so it led to that explosion?" Mic had suddenly flipped back upright.

"Correct"

"Also how the hell are you so calm!"

The mist and smoke and whatever else was causing everyone's vision impairment was finally clearing up.

"Nngh…ow…" Midnight groaned after being blasted back. She was the first to notice who was leaning up against the wall at the corner of the stadium.

As soon as his hair was shown, everyone instantly knew who it is. He struggled to stay on his feet before collapsing and falling to the ground.

The victor stood his ground, his shirt torn to bits exposing his body for the world to see. The ice around him shattered as he had no more strength to hold it up. His body collapsed but he was somehow strong enough to stay conscious.

I''m pretty sure you know who won.

Midnight pulled out her microphone and announced the results. "Midoriya is out of bounds! Todoroki advances to the third round!"

There were some mixed feelings in the crowd, with some thinking that Midoriya provoked Todoroki and others praising his determination. Either way, they didn't understand the gravity of the situation and formed their own opinions of the match.

Shinjiro sighed. "Recovery Girl is not going to like this one bit…"

He got up from his seat to see Midoriya being wheeled off in a med cart and Todoroki following suit before walking off to go see him.

"Wait!" Iida voiced called out to him.

He turned around to see the green boy's closer friends all standing up.

"Can we join you?" The president asked.

"Well, if you don't disturb me while we walk then…" Shinjiro said before turning around and walking off. The others slowly followed suit as they walked to the infirmary.

Oh good is the chapter finally over?

*Whizz*

A miniature drone flew by and rested on a man's palm.

"The preparations are complete. Now if you'd excuse me-"

"Wait," A voice interrupted him. "You said you were here on orders. What orders?"

Kazuya sighed. "For the last time, I am not allowed to disclose my affairs with anyone. We're in agreement that you'd join the League of Villians for the sake of their ideology"

"Ne ne, when can we get started?" A third voice which sounded oddly bubbly and cheery asked.

"Until 'he' says so," Kazuya responded. "For now, just sit back and relax. Maybe go watch the U.A sports festival which is airing right now. After all, it is an annual event. I heard that a couple of those kids are…special"

"Hmm…maybe we will," The second voice said which was a lot more tired and stoic.

"Your assistance is of much value…Dabi…Himiko Toga," Kazuya bowed slightly before raising his hand up, allowing his drones to form in front of him. He stepped through before the portal closed, leaving the two recruits to wonder in silence.

"Hey Toga," The man named Dabi turned around to see the girl skipping off to the television in the middle of the warehouse they were staying in.

"Hm?" Toga stopped and turned around like some kind of princess. "What's wrong Dabi?"

"Was it a good idea? Joining the league of whatever?" He asked.

"I don't care. As long as I get to stabby stab some people," She said happily with a growing blush on her face.

Yea, I don't get why people like yandere simulator over here.

Dabi groaned. "I knew I should have gone solo…"

Oh? What's this? Dabi and Toga? Already?

Yea, yea, I had to find some way to shoehorn them in the story earlier than when they usually appear. Kazuya doing god's work and recruiting everyone off the bat which means they'll actually get to do something. Unless I forget. Welp, you guys have a good time and I'll see ya.
