It was a rare sight to see Jade so excited. She had been talking about getting a bond mate for her rabbit for weeks, and we have finally saved enough money to adopt another one from a shelter.
She let out a small squeal as she ran over to pet each of the bunnies in their enclosures, but paid extra attention to a small black fur ball crouching in a corner. Jade cooed to the bunny for several minutes, and when it finally hopped over, she gently stroked its fur.
It wriggled its nose as it slowly closed its eyes, stretching out its back legs in her arms. Jade turned to me, smiling, "Vega? I think I found our second bunny."
