Chapter 4, lost friend.
'It's a complete mystery.' Chase comments. The pups sit in silent at the lookout, after searching the whole day, they haven't smelled a scent of their friend Zuma.
'I really don't get it, in such a short time, a matter of seconds, disappeared.' Rocky added.
'With no trace, and we got searching so quickly, but no sign anywhere.' Chase said.
'There was no one going in or out the lab, no cars, no humans, very quiet.' Marshall mentioned.
'Hey guys, Ryder is coming back.' Rocky said, looking out the window.
'What was he doing anyway?' Skye asked.
'Some undercover thing or something, he was in a rush when he left.' Chase mentioned.
'Lets hope he has some answers.' Marshall said.
All the pups go downstairs to greet Ryder as he got out of a car, not wearing his usual paw patrol outfit.
'Different look.' Rubble said.
'You need to do what you need to do.' Ryder reacted. 'Have you guys seen the beach?'
'Yeah, some kind of base build around the meteor, what's that all about.' Skye said.
'Yeah the mayor called, they wanted to study the meteor, but Humdingers team have taken over the hole base, the police can't do anything but stand at the front of the place.' Ryder explained.
'How did they do that?' Chase asked.
'They say that they have a weapon which could kill whoever tries to get in there, police has been ordered not to engage.' Ryder said.
'Wow, that's crazy.' Marshall reacted.
'Whenever I think this can't get anymore serious, Humdinger finds a way to make it worse every single time.' Rocky added.
'Yeah I know, but we will get to the bottom of this. Priority one, I managed to get the city camera recordings from the mayor, that should give us some answers to what happened yesterday.' Ryder said, grabbing a little box from his pocket, grabbing the usb placed inside. 'We can also use it to keep an eye on the city, hopefully that will get us out of this mess as soon as possible.
'Sounds good.' Chase added.
'Rocky and rubble, could you to keep an eye on the live camera's just in case something happens?' Ryder asked the two pups. Rubble agreed immediately, Rocky agreed as well though he would rather find out what happened to his friend.
Ryder entered the date, time and location of Zuma's disappearance. Everyone hoping to finally get some answers, but the footage couldn't even load in and something happened on the live-camera's.
'Wow, what was that!' Rocky exclaimed, zooming in in a camera.
'What's going on?' Ryder reacted, everyone going towards Rocky's camera.
'A second floor apartment room just exploded.' Rocky replied, showing the replay.
'Wow.' Marshall reacted. 'That's not your ordinary kitchen explosion, we need to investigate.'
'I agree Marshall, rescues go first. Grab the fire gear, lets go quickly.' Ryder answered.
