Hey! Feedback and Reviews would be greatly appreciated. Also, sorry about repeating the same chapter twice, I wrote chapter 2 but for some reason it reset back to chapter 1. Now, enjoy!
Cut to Olympus
Annabeth's POV
I couldn't believe it. Percy Jackson- my best friend- was because he came on some stupid quest to save me. I felt empty, lonely, as if a part of me had died with Percy. I was half-expecting to wake up in camp half-blood and find out that it was all a dream. I pinched myself, just to be sure. Of course, it was real.
By the time we got to Olympus, I was still crying, so when I heard it, I jumped out of my skin, unsheathing my dagger.
"ENTER!" It boomed.
As we stumbled in, I saw Poseidon staring at his hands blankly. His green eyes-the exact same shade as Percy's- were red and bloodshot. He glanced over at us and his expression morphed into one of anger.
"YOU! YOU DARE SHOW YOUR FACE HERE! AFTER WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?" He bellowed and I realised he was talking to Bianca.
Zeus put a hand on his brother's shoulder.
"Calm brother. This girl clearly regrets her actions. And, it would not do to kill her. I don't know what Hades would think if you killed one of his daughters."
For a second, I was shocked. Zeus telling Poseidon to calm down? Since when does Zeus not want a child of the big three killed? I bit my cheek, feeling blood spill, but it was nothing compared to the pain I felt when thinking of what sarcastic comment Percy would make if he was here. Gods, I couldn't stop thinking about him. If I was quick enough I could've jumped off the manticore's back! And then he wouldn't have gone on the quest and he would be with me. Stop, I told myself. Thinking about him won't bring him back. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Artemis announced something.
"I shall have a new lieutenant, if she accepts. Thalia. Daughter of Zeus. will you join the hunt?"
Thalia looked at me, as if asking me if I'd be alright without her. I nodded, even though letting her leave would drill another hole through my heart.
"I will."
Zeus rose, his eyes full of concern. "My daughter, consider well-"
"Father," she said. "I will not turn sixteen tomorrow. I will never turn sixteen. I won't let this prophecy be mine. I stand with my sister Artemis. Kronos will never tempt me again."
She knelt before the goddess and began reciting the pledge I had read about in the Hunters of Artemis brochure. It seemed a million years ago that I was about to tell Percy that I might join.
She smiled at me and went to stand by Artemis's that's when I noticed.
"Where's Grover?"
