The morning sun rose high into the air, as the sunlight filtered through the curtains. Yang's eyes blinked open, at the intrusion to her sleep. She sat up and stretched out in bed, with a big yawn. Looking down in the bed, Yang expected to find Anya sleeping there, without a care in the world. But to her shock, and worry, the Dragon Faunus child wasn't there, she was gone, as was her shirt leaving her completely topless in bed.

Feeling herself begin to panic, Yang calmed her nerves to try and rationalize what was going on. Hoping that she just woke up before her and went to the bathroom, or to get a glass of water.

Jumping out of bed, Yang threw on a sports bra, before running out of her room, and making her way downstairs towards the kitchen where, to her relief, Anya was sitting at the table eating a hearty breakfast of protein-based foods, served to her by Summer, while Ruby sat next to the child, making sure her face stayed clean, and Tai was nowhere to be seen.

"Good morning Yang." Summer smiled, noticing Yang standing in the door was as the blonde relaxed. "Sorry if you were worried after waking up, but Anya seemed hungry, and you seemed exhausted after taking care of her all day yesterday, so we let you sleep in a bit longer. Plus, you removed your shirt in your sleep again."

"I had noticed, and thanks mom, I needed the sleep." Yang smiled, sitting next to Anya, as Ruby took the seat across from them. "Where's dad?"

"Eating his breakfast of a single egg and slice of toast, outside by Zwei' doghouse." Ruby said.

"Still treating him coldly huh?" Yang asked.

"I caught him this morning, calling Ozpin to try and have his assistant come and take Anya away from us. So now he's in the doghouse, both figuratively and literally." Summer exclaimed.

"What is his deal about Anya?" Yang questioned. "He does know I'm not the one who was pregnant with her, right?"

"It's complicated sweetheart. You'll probably learn about it, when you're off to Beacon." Summer sighed, bringing Yang her breakfast.

"I guess that's as good an answer as I'm ever gonna get." Yang sighed, drinking the coffee Summer put down in front of her. "Just wish dad wouldn't be so stubborn about Anya being part of the family now."

"She's only been around for less than a day, and she's already part of the family?" Summer asked with a knowing grin. "I am liking this new side of you Yang. Feels very bold, very maternal."

"Onto a different topic." Ruby said, not liking it when her sister got grumpy, and not wanting to expose Anya to her mother's antics just yet. "I see you're trying a new look, with the scarlet red frosted tips."

"Not really my choice. Don't know how it happened, but the scarlet red color just sort of appeared there." Yang said.

"Weird." Ruby said.

Summer turned to look over her shoulder at Yang, and saw that she had more than just the scarlet red in her hair. She also had somewhat, barely noticeable slitted pupils in her eyes.

"Yang, did Anya happen to bite you at all yesterday when you first found her?" Summer asked.

"Yeah, she did actually. She bit me on my ring finger on my right hand, when I tried to induce vomiting after I initially found her after eating the Burn Dust." Yang explained. "Broke the skin a bit, and drew some blood, but what had recovered of my Aura was more than enough to handle it."

"Then we've found the solution to the mystery." Summer said, bringing another plate of food over to Anya.

"How does Anya biting Yang connect to her changes?" Ruby questioned.

"It was discovered that Dragon Faunus have a rare genetic genome in their saliva that can affect humans and other Faunus." Summer explained. "When a Dragon Faunus bites someone who isn't part of their species, that person will gradually turn into a Dragon Faunus themselves, in the time span of a week. The first signs of this, are always the hair, naturally gaining frosted tips of another color, usually relating to the element they gain."

"Whoa, that's so cool Yang." Ruby smiled, stars in her eyes. "You're becoming a Dragon Faunus."

"So, it's like a werewolf type situation." Yang said.

"Sort of, it's similar but not the same." Summer explained. "Basically, you're just gonna go through some physical changes, but you will find you'll have an affinity to be able to control, and consume a certain element you're most connected to."

"Okay, controlling I understand, but consuming?" Yang asked.

"It's how Dragon Faunus are able to replenish their stamina, and aura instantly." Summer explained. "I'm not entirely sure how it works, but it'll give you an advantage in battle, and you'll be able to last longer in a fight. Their ability to control and consume their elements are completely separate from their Semblances."

"That's a sweet bonus." Yang smiled.

"Also, there are a few differences between Dragon Faunus pure blood, and those turned." Summer said. "Natural born like Anya, have cartilage spikes growing from their ears, males have six on each ear, females have three. But those who are bitten and turned, don't have cartilage spikes. But in exchange for that, their natural strength is greater then the Faunus who are Natural Born, along with a sense of smell and hearing that's a bit superior to their Natural Born counterparts."

"All done." Anya said, putting down her fork and knife.

"It's about time, I didn't think a little girl like you could scarf down seven full plates of eggs, sausage, toast, and bacon." Ruby said.

"We've got more than enough to keep her fed. So don't worry. But that's something natural born, and turned Dragon Faunus share, an increased appetite, due to their metabolisms being naturally boosted as a side effect to their draconic abilities. Besides, this has probably been the first proper meal she's had in a while." Summer smiled. "Yang why don't you go out and take Anya to the park to play with the local children?"

"I don't know." Yang said worriedly. "The other kids might pick on Anya, and you know how mean and judgmental the other parents can be about Faunus children being around their kids."

"I'm sure it'll be fine." Summer said. "Though as a Dragon Faunus, you do have to be careful. Your temper is gonna be shorter than normal, especially now that you're gonna be experiencing maternal instinct towards Anya."

"Another reason why I shouldn't go." Yang said.

"Anya needs her Vitamin-C, and plenty of exercise. So you both will be going to the park, and that's final." Supper stated. "I've got more of your old clothes ready for Anya to wear. I'll also be going to the mainland with Ruby later to do some shopping. Do you want me to get you or Anya anything while we're out?"

"Some soda and apple juice? I think Anya might like the sweetness of the fruity drink." Yang said, pointing to Anya as she was drinking some apple juice with a smile.

"Okay, I'll be sure to grab some pizza pops while I'm out to." Summer chuckled.

"Oh, you're right Anya might like those." Yang smiled.

~Outside the Xiao Long Residence~

"I've got eyes on the target, and the ones harboring her, Commander Schnee." An Atlesian soldier said, as he was looking through the scope of a sniper rifle.

"Keep an eye on the target 17." Winter said. "What does it look like they're doing?"

"They've just left the premises and are currently making their way down the dirt path." 17 said. "According to the map, it looks like that path leads to a communal park, where families take their children."

"They must be up to something involving the park and the children there. We have to stop them." Winter said.

~Communal Park~

"Alright Anya, go and play in the sandbox, or on the monkey bars." Yang said, as they reached the communal park. Setting down the bag, filled with sandwiches, chips, drinks, and a first aid kit. "I'll be right here if you need me. So go have some fun."

While out at the park, yang was dressed in her normal clothes, consisting of a tan jacket that bears her midriff, with golden brown piping and short, slender sleeves with black cuffs that feature two gold buttons. Underneath this, she wears a low cut yellow crop top with her emblem on the left breast in black.

A brown belt covered by a pleated brown piece of material reaching from hip to hip around the back of her waist, with her emblem emblazoned on the right-most pleat in gold. Underneath this is a long, white, asymmetrical piece of material reaching to her knee on the right side, as well as a pair of black mini-shorts. She wears a pair of brown, knee-high boots and orange over-the-knee socks, with the right sock pushed down just below the knee. A gray bandanna is tied around her left knee. An orange infinity scarf and black fingerless gloves complete her outfit.

Anya hesitantly looked to the park, before she looked up at Yang. After getting a reassuring nod from the blonde brawler, Anya went to play on the jungle gym, where the other kids were.

Taking out her scroll, Yang decided to check her E-Mails, and read an online book on parenting she downloaded, while keeping an eye out on anything that might warrant her concern with Anya. She ignored the side glances she was getting from the other parents, as well as the comments directed right at her about being too young for motherhood, the only times she responded, was when she got pissed when someone made a racial comment about her being a Faunus. After about thirty minutes to an hour or so of playing, Anya came back, and asked for a juice box.

"So, are you having fun?" Yang asked.

"Sort of. The other kids are picking on me, because I'm a Faunus." Anya explained.

"Don't listen to them, just go out there and have some more fun." Yang smiled.

"I don't know." Anya said. "I don't like being picked on."

"Hey, that's fine." Yang said. "How about we go for a hike, maybe see how I handle Grimm?"

"Sounds fun." Anya smiled, hopping down from the bench, and grabbing Yang's hand as she picked up the backpack.

The duo decided to walk along the longer path, walking through the forest with a clear goal in mind, teaching Anya what it's like to be a Huntress, even if she was only watching, and not fighting. As Anya was eating a bag of chips Yang gave her, she stopped after the sound of the rustling bushes reached her ears.

"Anya?" Yang asked. "What's wrong?"

"We're surrounded." Anya said. "I hear at least twenty of them circling us."

"What do you hear?" Yang asked, dropping her backpack, and moving Anya behind her. "Beowolves?"

"No." Anya said, grabbing the bag, and hugging it tight as she hid behind Yang. "Soldiers."

In that instance, a large white net came out and wrapped itself around Yang as it pinned her to a tree.

"NO." Anya shouted, running for Yang, and pulling on the net to try and free the blonde.

"Detain the target now."

"Target is surrounded."

"Don't move, or we will open fire."

Yang glared as she looked at the Atlesian Soldiers as they came out of the foliage and greenery of the forest. Their weapons were aimed at both her, and Anya. But she was more pissed off at the fact that they were targeting Anya. From behind the foot soldiers, came Special Operative Winter Schnee, a look of disdain on her face.

"Restrain the target and contain it." Winter exclaimed.

"Don't you dare lay a hand on her." Yang shouted.

Yang was still able to swing her feet, and move her head freely, which allowed for her to head-butt one of the soldiers that came close enough, while Anya was hugging her legs.

"Stop this insolence at once." Winter exclaimed coming up to Yang, and smacking her across the face.

"She's just a child." Yang said, before spitting in Winters face.

"She's a White Fang Sleeper Agent." Winter exclaimed, wiping away the spit.

"What, because she's a Faunus? Guess the apple doesn't really fall far from the tree, Ms. Schnee. You're just as racist and discriminative as your father." Yang glared.

"You shut your mouth, before I remove your tongue." Winter growled, pointing her blade at Yang, holding it less than an inch under the blonde's chin.

"Wait, don't." Yang's eyes widened when she saw her dad coming out, and putting a hand on Winter's arm. "I told Ironwood were to find the girl, and we had a deal. Now just take her and leave." Tai said.

"Dad?" Yang questioned. "How could you? She's just a child."

"Very well. We'll take our leave, with the asset." Winter said, as two of the soldiers grabbed Anya by the arms.

"No. Let me go. I don't wanna go with you. Mom, don't let them take me." Anya cried out.

"How precious, she's developed a maternal bond with the brutish girl." Winter exclaimed, as a cage was brought out, and opened. "You'll be able to send her letters, once she's gone through proper procedures and protocols." She stated as Anya was literally thrown into the cage by one of the foot soldiers, before they wheeled it away.

"No. Leave her alone. LET HER GO." Yang shouted struggling in the netting, as Tai took out a knife, and began cutting her loose. "How could you dad? She's just a kid, a scared little girl, who's traumatized from discrimination and abuse."

"I'm sorry Yang. But this had to be done. She's dangerous, and a threat to everyone in Remnant." Tai said, as he finished cutting the netting, causing Yang to fall to the ground. "Eventually you'll understand and thank me. Let's go home." He said, grabbing Yang by the arm, and bringing her up to her feet.

"No!" Yang exclaimed, before she swung her arm forward, and performed an upward back kick, with the sole of her boot hitting Tai's face across the eyes, breaking his nose, and knocking him out as the back of his head splintered part of the trunk of the tree he was in front of. The moment she removed her foot, and Tai fell to the ground, Yang started running and made a mad dash in the direction the Atlesian Soldiers went, and caught up to them in no time, just as they reached their airship. "LET HER GO." Yang shouted with a battle cry, as she activated Ember Celica.

The instant Winter turned around, Yang's fist made contact with her stomach, forcing her to bend over, before she was sent flying and landed hard against the hull of the airship, with the sound of a shotgun blast echoing through the air.

The soldiers turned back towards her and aimed their weapons at Yang, but they were stunned when they saw her. Yang's lavender eyes had turned blood red with rage, as she stood there. What they were looking at was no young woman, but a raging mother, angered beyond all reason, with the strength and speed of a lethal Huntress behind her.

As Yang stared them down, she didn't move an inch, until her eyes landed on Anya, and she took a crouched position, one she wasn't used to, yet familiar with at the same time. The moment she took that stance, the Atlesian Soldiers began firing their weapons at her, and Yang just ran through the hail of bullets, with her aura shielding her from damage.

No matter how many times the Atlesian Soldiers fired their weapons at her, Yang was able to deflect them with her Ember Celica and Aura, before destroying their weapons with a single punch, and striking them down, rendering them unconscious with either a punch or kick to the face. When all twenty soldiers, plus the additional fifteen in the airship that had been on standby, were down for the count, Yang went to the cage that Anya was being held in, and tore it open as if the cage were made of paper.

"Come here sweetie." Yang said, taking Anya into her arms and holding her firmly in her grasp as the child cried, while hugging her back. "There, there. Shush, it's all right now. I am here, don't worry. I am here."

"You surprised me. I didn't think someone who hasn't been to any of the academies could be that powerful." Winter said standing behind Yang with her rapier an inch off the back of her neck. "However, that's not going to happen again. You're under arrest for assaulting an Atlesian Officer, assisting a terrorist, and interfering in official government matters."

Yang let out a deathly calm breath, as she had it up to her chin with the Atlesian Specialists b***.

"Anya sweetie, you're gonna have to go back in the cage for a minute." Yang said, setting the girl back in the metal bars. "Close your eyes and cover your ears for me, I don't want you to see what's about to happen."

"Putting her back won't help you avoid recompense for what you've done today." Winter said, as Yang bent the bars back into place.

"Oh, she's not in there because I'm giving her back. She's not going anywhere." Yang exclaimed. "She's in there, to protect her from any stray projectiles."

"What?" Winter questioned.

Faster than Winter thought Yang was capable of, the blonde brawler ducked down and performed a flawless leg sweep on the Atlesian Commander, before she was elbowed in the gut and slammed painfully into the ground.

(Cue Music… Sweet Dreams: Eurhythmics')

"You underestimate me, because I'm not fully licensed yet. But that's a big mistake." Yang said, with a growl, as she raised her foot to stomp on Winter's head.

Winter's eyes widened when she saw the oncoming sole of Yang's boot, and quickly rolled out of the way, narrowly missing the blonde as she stomped hard, shattering the ground she'd been lying on moments ago.

"Are you trying to kill me?" Winter questioned, rolling onto one of her knees.

"Depends, are you still trying to take Anya away?"

"I have a duty to protect Remnant from any threat." Winter said, splitting her weapon in two. "So of course, I'm going to be taking her away from here."

"Then you've just answered your own question." Yang stated, lunging at Winter.

The former Schnee Heiress lunged at Yang, and with two swipes of her blades, destroyed Yang's Ember Celica, by targeting for their transformation gears. Using a glyph and time dilation, Winter managed to subdue Yang and encase her in a block of ice, causing Anya to panic.

"As I said, you're under arrest." Winter exclaimed putting her swords back into one.

As she was about to use a glyph to get, Anya, the detained Yang, and her unconscious men, into the airship, the ice prison Yang was in, began to shake and vibrate, before it burst open sending ice shards everywhere, as steam poured over the area.

"An' like I said, she's not going anywhere." Yang growled.

Swinging both her arms around, Yang dispersed the steam revealing that she looked completely different than when she had first been encased in the ice. The main thing to notice were the golden scales, with a red tint to them, on her face and along her forearms like gauntlets. She removed her torn and ruined jacket to show she had scales on her shoulder and upper arms, and collar bones, like armored plating. Throwing her jacket to the ground, Yang's hands ignited in a burst of dark crimson fire, and the iris and pupils of her eyes, were shrinking, and slitted indicating she was pissed off, if the smoke pouring from her mouth wasn't any indication of that. But the most frightening thing about her, was the silhouette of the feral dragon standing right above her, looking ready to pounce on its enemy.

Before Winter could react, time seemed to freeze, as Yang's fiery fist was suddenly in her face, sending her to the ground, and breaking through her aura instantly.

Yang grabbed Winter by the collar of her blouse, and threw her into a tree, causing a loud cracking sound to emit from her right arm as it took the brunt of the attack. After Winter got back up on her feet, Yang grabbed her by the blouse again, and threw her towards the Atlesian Airship. Managing to avoid landing on her broken arm, Winter used a glyph to slow her descent, until she was standing on her feet.

The blonde brawler made a mad dash towards Winter, wanting to finish this fight in one more strike. In the back of her mind, she could instinctively sense what to do, and what attack to call out as she prepared to land the finishing blow on this fight.

"Purgatory Dragon…" Yang called out as her fist ignited with the dark crimson flames again. "Iron Fist!"

With those two final words, the fight was finished, as Winter's whole body was engulfed in flames, before she was sent flying into the open airship from the force of the blow. She'd managed to block the attack, with her remaining arm, but that did nothing as it, and several of her ribs, still wound up breaking.

(End Song…)

With the fight over, with Yang tossed every unconscious Atlesian Soldier into the back of the airship one at a time, making sure their landings were very painful. Once she finished loading them up, she shut the cargo bay door, and used the panel on the outside, to activate the emergency recall system on the ship, enabling the auto pilot to take off and head back towards Atlas.

After finishing up on getting rid of the trash, she went back to the cage Anya was in, and bent the bars open again, and pulled the scared child out of it for the final time.

"It's okay. I'm not gonna let anyone harm you. I promise I'm never going to leave your side. Mommy promises to do her best to not let that happen again." Yang said, the scales receding on her arms and chest, comfortingly rubbing Anya's back to calm her down. The last thing she wanted was for any Grimm to find their way to the park, and knew she'd attracted a few with her little outburst of anger there. "Let's go home, and get you calmed down."

Not even bothering to put Anya down, Yang tossed the backpack in the cage, and pulled it with her, towards the direction of the house, not even giving her father a second glance, as she walked past his unconscious body. The Grimm could have him, for all she cared.

Meanwhile, back in the shadows of the trees, a young man in a white and dark icy blue cropped jacket, was leaning against a tree, while looking as the Atlesian airship vanished from sight.

"You fucked up Winter." Grey smirked. "Never mess with a mother dragon's young." He said, dark markings forming over his right eye, after engulfing his right hand and arm, a lavender mist of icy cold air covering the ground, as his gaze shifted to Tai. "Let's talk Tai."

~Home~

"Mom." Yang called out. "I'm back, and I'm pissed at dad."

"Oh dear, what did your father do this time?" Summer asked, before noticing how scared Anya was. "Oh gracious me, what happened to Anya? She's shaking like a leaf in a hurricane."

"Dad called Ironwood, and had Winter Schnee try to come and take Anya away from me." Yang said. "They ambushed us and everything."

"They what?" Summer asked, sounding pissed.

"Mom, Yang? What happened?" Ruby asked coming down the stairs with Zwei following her.

"It's your father." Summer said. "That's the last straw. Yang, you and Anya are coming with me and Ruby to the mainland."

"Right." Yang said. "What about dad?"

"Don't worry. I've been prepared for when the day comes that he's no longer welcome in my house." Summer said, using her Scroll to send a link to Yang and Ruby. "I just sent you both the new code to the house locks. Now he's unable to enter without permission, unless he breaks in."

"You can do that?" Yang asked.

"The house is legally in my name, and my name only." Summer said. "I can do anything I want so long as it's within my legal rights."

"That's a start." Yang smiled. "Anya, you up for a trip to the mainland?"

Anya just nodded, while her face was still buried in Yang's shoulder.

"First, I think you should get yourself dressed properly." Ruby said, noticing how Yang's clothes were mostly shredded. "At least, put a jacket and an intact tube top on."

~Vale~

"So, where are we gonna stop at first?" Ruby asked, dressed in her normal clothes, consisting of a black long-sleeved dress with a high collar and red trim on the sleeves, a black waist cincher with red lacing up the front, and around her skirt has a red trim. She also wears a pair of thick black stockings and black combat boots with red laces, red trim around the top and red soles.

Her outfit is topped by a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulders by cross-shaped pins. Her emblem appears as a large silver brooch and is pinned to a wide black belt slung around her hips on an angle, which also carries bullets and a pouch.

"First, you are gonna take Anya to kill some time, and show her your favorite hot spots." Summer said. "Yang and I, are gonna do something that will take a bit."

"Wait what?" Yang asked, as Summer put Anya, and a whole lot of Lien, in Rubys arms, and pushed Yang down the street away from the two of them.

"What just happened?" Ruby asked, putting the Lien in her pocket.

"Mom?" Anya asked, feeling upset, her grip tightening on Ruby's cloak.

"Oh hey don't worry." Ruby said, instantly on cheering Anya up. "I'm sure my mom just has to do some boring adult stuff with Yang. They'll be back in no time. Come on, I'll take you to a shop I like to get my parts for Crescent Rose from. Then we can get ice cream."

Taking Anya through the town, Ruby showed the child all the city had to offer, and even some of the fun things there was to do around there. Eventually, the sun began setting, and Ruby couldn't return home without Yang or Summer, so she took Anya to her favorite convenience store, Dust-'till-Dawn where Mic, the owner, greeted her with his usual cheerfulness.

"Hey there Ruby, in for this week's issue of Weapons Weekly?" Mic asked.

"No, not today Mic, I might just take a look, but I'm here keeping my niece and myself busy until we meet back up with my mom and sister." Ruby said.

"Oh, you're an aunt?" Mic smiled, looking at Anya. "Hello little one, what's your name?"

Anya just hid under Ruby's cloak, behind the older girl.

"This is Anya, she's a little shy." Ruby chuckled. "She actually went through something troubling this morning, so I don't think she's very trusting of people she doesn't know."

"Oh well that's understandable." Mic said, before reaching under his counter and pulling out a jar of candy. "Here child, have a lollipop on the house."

Anya just peeked out from behind Ruby, and in a blur of blue lightning, she zipped to the candy jar and back.

"Wow, her Semblance is already unlocked? She must be a protégé." Mic said, sounding amazed.

"What do you say Anya?" Ruby asked.

"Thank you." Anya said, before sticking the candy in her mouth.

"Such a cutie." Mic smiled, finding Anya adorable.

"We're just gonna look around, until my mom comes to get us. I might grab a few magazines of Burn Dust bullets on the way out. Depending on which element I'm needing." Ruby said.

"Of course, feel free to look around." Mic smiled.

Putting her headphones on, and pulling her hood up, Ruby began looking through the paperback magazines of Weapons Weekly, while Anya just stuck close to her as the young aspiring Huntress grabbed a magazine that caught her attention.

While still sucking on the candy, Anya was looking around, bored out of her mind and wanting to be close to Yang again. As the time ticked on, the sound of the door opening caught Anya's attention as several men came into the shop; the leader of the group wearing a white suit, with ginger orange hair, and a bowler hat with a feather in it, and a cigar in his mouth. Anya couldn't place it, but she felt like she's been in a situation like this before.

"Do you have any idea, how hard it is to find a Dust store still open this late?" The orange haired man asked, before two of his men pulled out guns, and pointed them at Mic. This prompted Anya's eyes to widen, as she began tugging on Ruby's skirt.

"Here, go get yourself something to drink with this. Just don't get soda, juice only." Ruby said, thinking Anya was trying to get her attention because she was thirsty, as she handed her a Lien card.

Anya just took the Lien card, before she huffed and turned around, going to the store counter.

"Please, just take the money and go." Mic said, his arms raised over his head as he backed away.

"Shush, shush, shush, we don't want your money." The orange haired man said, before speaking to his men. "Grab the dust."

As his men left to collect canisters of Dust, the white suited man felt a pulling on his pant legs, and looked to see Anya looking up at him.

"Well hello there little one." The man said.

"Anya, no go back to Ruby." Mic said.

"Silence old geezer." The robber said, before looking back at Anya. "What can I do for you?"

"Stop robbing this man of his Dust." Anya said.

"Oh really, and what will a little helpless animal like you do about it, if I don't?" He asked getting in her face.

"This." Anya simply said, before she screamed as loud as she could, causing the man to pull back and cover his ears.

10m ago"ANYA." Ruby's voice echoed through the store, before a flurry of red rose petals came flying out from the back of the store, and slammed into the head robber, and knocked him to the ground before it engulfed Anya as Ruby manifested herself in the flurry. "Stay away from my niece." She exclaimed, aiming Crescent Rose in its rifle form at the robber.

"Clever kid, very clever." The head thief groaned. "But it ain't enough to stop us."

Two of the mans lackeys came running at Ruby and Anya, before the young Huntress knocked one of them away, and used her semblance to ram the other one through the window, while holding tight to Anya, as she flew out of it with him, landing on her feet as she unfolded Crescent Rose into its Death Scythe mode, with a scowl on her face, and Anya standing right behind her.

"I'm not in the mood to be dealing with this tonight." Ruby exclaimed. "My niece is already scared of anything that moves, after the day she's had."

"Didn't seem that way to me when she came towards me, before triggering her trap." The orange haired man said, coming out of the store with his remaining lackeys. "Get 'em boys."

All three lackey's, including the one whose butt Ruby kicked earlier, ran out of the store and towards Ruby, with swords in hand. Using her scythe like a gymnastics-horse, Ruby twirled around, kicking the first one in the face, sending him flying back into the store, while Anya went running to hide behind the newspaper box across the street.

Removing the blade of her weapon from the ground before placing it behind her back, Ruby aimed the lethal tool with expert skill, pulling the trigger, and firing off a round from the head of her blade, using the recoil to spin around, knocking the lackeys away with the force and motion, when we feet made contact.

Using the motion still, she used the momentum to slam her weapon down on another lackey, causing him great pain and discomfort. A third lackey, most likely the one she knocked out of the shattered window, started firing their gun at her.

With incredible speed, she dodged each bullet leaving behind rose petals, before jumping back and knocking him away.

"You were worth every scent, truly you were." The orange haired man stated reaching into his back pocket. "Well Red, I think we can all say it's been an eventful evening; and as much as I'd love to stick around, I'm afraid this, is where we part ways." He said nonchalantly aiming his cane at her, revealing its form as a gun as the end popped up to show a crosshairs scope.

The man fired his shot at her, before Ruby used Crescent Rose to avoid the attack. When she landed she looked around for him before spotting him climbing up a latter on a nearby building.

"You okay if I go after him?" Ruby asked Mic.

"Uh-huh." He nodded.

"Mind watching over Anya while I do?"

"Of course." Mic said as Anya ran back across the street.

Using the recoil of her weapon to quicken her pace, Ruby ran and used Crescent Rose as a pogo-stick with several shots of recoil, to allow her to get to the roof top, and continue her chase after him.

"Hey." She shouted.

"Persistent." He exclaimed, before turning around.

Without even flinching, the orange haired man smiled as his getaway ride had appeared from bellow the other side of the building. Sending the air current everywhere. Light's blinded Ruby as the cargo bay door opened.

"End of the line Red." The orange haired man stated after hopping in and pulling out the burn crystal he was examining before Anya's interference.

He tossed it at her feet and then fired at it, making it explode. Before the explosion could hit her, Ruby was pulled back. Remembering her training, Ruby landed on her feet, and looked to see who had saved her from a fiery death.

The person who had pulled her back was dressed in a corset with a small purple cape, with a pencil skirt, black leggings, and high-heels. A pair of glasses rested comfortably on her nose, and with her platinum blonde hair done up in a bun on her head. B*** Size: K-Cup.

She flicked her ridding crop, and the debri swirled around with a violet hue, and she sent the large chunks of rubble at the air ship, knocking it off course a bit before the man in white went to the cockpit. A minute later, a woman in a red dress, with her upper half, covered in shadows, fighting against the Huntress who aided Ruby.

The woman in red somehow redirected the blonde's attack, and sent it back at her, full force with shards of glass and obsidian mixed in.

Acting fast, the Huntress who aided Ruby in survival, took the flying debri and turned them into several pointed projectiles, launching them to the airship. Soon after, the blonde woman shot a lightning bolt of Ice Dust into the sky, creating a storm and causing large, razor sharp, chunks of ice to come falling out of the sky, with several of them hitting the airship.

Coming out of her stupor, Ruby began firing shot, after shot at the woman in red, who blocked them with just the palm of her hand.

The woman in red grew irritated as she blocked each shot, before she set six locations on the rooftop to explode. Seeing this, the blonde used her Semblance to move herself and Ruby out of the way, right before the rooftop exploded, creating the perfect opportunity for the airship to fly off.

The two of them got up, and watched as the damaged airship left. Ruby turned to the woman, looking at her with awe and wonder in her eyes.

"You're a huntress, can I have your autograph?" Ruby asked, temporarily forgetting her depression as she was in the presence of what she aspired to be when she became an adult.

~Police Station~

"This is very bad." Ruby sighed, sitting in the police station, with Anya by her side.

"Are we in trouble?" Anya asked, eating another piece of candy Mic gave her.

"I am." Ruby stated.

"Ruby." Summer called out, running towards the girls. "There you are. What were you thinking?"

"I heard Anya scream, and just bolted into action." Ruby said. "Professor Goodwitch wants to talk with me, so I can't come home quite yet."

9m ago"It'll be more of a lecture then a talk." Summer sighed. "Alright, just be careful what you say. I'm gonna take Anya home. Hopefully your father's made it back into the house."

"Why would you want that?" Ruby asked.

"So I can call the police and have him arrested for breaking and entering." Summer stated.

"Things are really over between the two of you, huh?" Ruby asked.

"You have no idea."

~Patch~

"Summer please." Tai said, standing outside the front door, with his arms out, before he was knocked back a bit, by a large suitcase being thrown into his embrace.

When Summer had gotten back with Anya, she found Tai sitting on the steps to the door, waiting patiently, while his injury from what Yang did earlier, was still healing. Summer refused to let him in, and after about ten more minutes of waiting, she was back at the door, with all his clothes and personal belongings packed into two bags.

"Get out of my sights. I don't wanna see you around here anymore." Summer exclaimed. "What the hell were you thinking? Calling Ironwood? Do you even know what kind of trauma you've put Anya through?"

"I was only doing the right thing." Tai said.

"No Tai. You did the stupid thing." Summer said, throwing the second bag at him, hitting the blonde man in the face.

"I had this family's best interests in mind."

"No, you had your own interests in mind. Now leave, before I call Qrow and tell him to forcefully remove you from the property." Summer said.

"This is my house."

"An' the cheques that pay the mortgage are in my name, my name is on the deed to the property, and this property was a wedding gift from my father, or did you forget that?" Summer questioned, grabbing the door. "Now leave." An' with that, she slammed the door in his face.

Summer sighed and went to the kitchen, where Anya was sitting at the table, with a coloring book. But she wasn't coloring, in fact she looked sad.

"Anya what's wrong sweetie?" Summer asked, kneeling beside her.

Summer could tell, there was something on Anya's mind that was getting to her. Summer could see she was a bit uneasy about being away from Yang, while the blonde brawler was still on the mainland. She'd gotten word Ruby was released from custody, so everything went well for the young Huntress in training, and it was understandable if Anya was shaken up by what had happened at the Dust Shop, but there was more to it than that, and Summer was wanting to help her get through it, the best she could.

"Come on sweetie, you can talk to Grandma, what's on your mind?" Summer inquired.

"I'm sorry." Anya said.

"Sorry for what? Getting some crayon on the table? Don't be, it's easy to wash off." Summer smiled.

"No, it's not that." Anya said. "I feel like I'm the reason why you and Grandpa Tai are splitting up."

'There it is, the root of the problem. She's feeling responsible for driving a wedge between Tai and me. Bless her heart.' Summer thought, as she pulled her in for a warm hug. "Anya sweetie, you've got nothing to be sorry for. It's not your fault Grandpa Tai and I are separating. Truth be told, he and I have been growing more and more distant the last few months, this just helped me to synch the decision to end things with him. So stop blaming yourself, because you're not to blame."

Knock-knock-knock…

Anya froze, and Summer turned to look at the door, seriously hoping it wasn't Tai, coming back with some lame a** apology. If it was, she wasn't gonna show him any mercy.

"Stay right here Anya, I'll be right back." Summer said.

Summer went to the door, and see as there was no peephole, she was taking a gamble, and opened the door slightly, finding someone there, she wasn't expecting to see.

"Professor Ozpin, Grey, Glynda?" Summer asked, opening the door all the way.

"Good evening Mrs. Rose. I do hope you'll forgive the intrusion, but there is a certain matter of importance I'd like to discuss with you, regarding both your daughters." The green clad headmaster exclaimed. "Is Tai around?"

"Try looking for him in a hotel on the mainland. He's no longer welcomed here." Summer exclaimed. "What is it you have to say about my girls?"

"For one, congratulations." Ozpin said, holding a folder with Beacons emblem on the front. "Young Ms. Rose, has officially been accepted to Beacon Academy, two years early."

"Well, this certainly is call for celebration." Summer said, as Glynda went a bit deeper into the house.

"Second would be, we're needing to have a word with Ms. Xiao Long about an incident with some of Ironwood's men, earlier today." Professor Ozpin said.

"There's nothing much to say really. Yang defended a Faunus child, who was wrongfully being taken by the Atlesian Military, and put them in their place." Summer exclaimed. "It's the reason why Tai is no longer welcome here."

"Be that as it may, the child in question, is a danger to Remnant and…"

"I have her right here Professor Ozpin." Glynda said, coming back into the living room with the child, floating in the air, surrounded by a purple aura.

"Let me go." Anya cried out as she struggled.

"Don't struggle kid, or she's gonna make her hold on you tighter." Grey said.

"Very good. Come along, we'll be leaving now that we have the threat contained." Ozpin said. "Good night to you Mrs. Rose."

"Hold it."

Ozpin turned to the door to see Yang standing there, fuming mad, and her eyes red, the scales on her face glowing with power.

"Ah, Ms. Xiao Long, we were just…"

"Spare me the nonsense Professor." Yang said, marching past him and towards Glynda, smacking the riding crop out of her hand, causing the telekinetic hold on Anya to drop, as she landed in Yang's arms. "You're not taking her, and that's final. If you do, I will call the police, and press charges on kidnapping."

"You've got a pair on you, don't ya?" Grey smirked.

"An' what right do you have to make such a threat?" Glynda asked, picking her riding crop from the ground. "You're not this child's mother, or legal guardian."

"Actually, as of two hours ago, I am." Yang said, pulling a folder from behind her back, and holding it up for the three professors to see. "The adoption papers have been filed and finalized, I am, as of today, Anya Xiao Long's mother."

"That snark. You remind me a lot of Natsu, the Huntsmen code named, Salamander. You've got just as fiery a spirit as him." Grey said, before looking down at Anya. "But I'd be careful, of who you keep as family."

"Wanna test me stripper?" Yang questioned, covering Anya's eyes.

"You gotta be kidding me." Grey said, looking down to realize, he was in his underwear.

"Careful Grey. Few people have lived to tell the tale of when they've angered a mother dragon." Ozpin stated.

"Yeah, yeah." Grey said putting the last of his clothes back on. "Just be careful kid. With that thing as your daughter now, you're gonna have a lot of people gunning to get their hands on her for her power. Plenty of people in the White Fang, and other criminal organizations."

"Duly noted." Yang said. "But I'll take my chances."

"I see." Professor Ozpin said. "Well, I suppose that means our business here is done. Come along Glynda. I'll see you at opening ceremonies Ms. Xiao Long."

"Wait, we're just gonna leave, without putting up a fight?" Grey questioned, before Glynda used her telekinesis to drag him out the door. "Oh come on."

"Bye Professor Ozpin." Yang said.

"Wait, before we go. Mind telling me where I can find Tai?" Grey asked.

"Try the closest bar on the mainland." Summer said. "He always goes there after we have a huge fight."

"Thanks." Grey said, as Glynda released her telekinetic grip on him.

With the door closed behind the trio of visiting professors, Yang sighed in relief, before going to the couch and sitting down.

"You do know you could have lost your acceptance into Beacon if you hadn't provided those adoption papers." Summer said.

"Would have been worth it, if only to keep Anya safe." Yang said.

"Glad to see the paperwork still went through after I left to pick Anya up from the police station earlier." Summer said.

"I'm gonna have a talk with Ruby about the, activities, she takes Anya on." Yang sighed.

"You think the Professors noticed your transformation into a Dragon Faunus only lasted 24 hours before it was complete?" Summer inquired.

"I don't know." Yang sighed. "Look mom, it's been an exhausting day, especially with having to deal with the Atlas Specialists, I just wanna get some sleep."

"Of course, don't worry I understand." Summer smiled, taking Anya, and putting her on the ground. "C'mon Anya, let's give your mom some space."

"All right."

Yang sighed as she sprawled herself out on the couch, happy to get a moment's rest. Closing her eyes, Yang drifted off to sleep, thinking about her time coming up at Beacon, but upon opening her eyes again, she found herself no longer in her home, on the living room couch, rather she was actually sitting on the ground, leaning against an apple tree in front of a cave. The only thing stranger than that was, the cave had cage bars sprouting from the ground, trapping whatever was inside.

"Hello?" Yang asked, getting up and looking within the cave.

There was no response to what she called out to, for a moment at least. But as she stepped closer, Yang felt an extreme rush of heat coming from between the bars, and push her back a bit, before a deep voice began reverberating through the air.

"In days of end, the night shall fall. The blood moon shall rise, and the Goddess of Light and Dark shall reign supreme. Heed my words and heed them well. Protect the child with your dying breath. If she should perish, so too shall Remnant." The voice said, as flaming eyes and a skull, came into view, slowing appearing from the darkness, illuminating the cave, and burning away the grass in front of the cage. "Heed these words, from the Purgatory Dragon of Hellfire, Atlas Flame. Protect the child, who holds all dragon kind's future in her hands."

Yang backed up as the figure came closer, and grew bigger, revealing his head was all that could be seen through the gates.

"What is going on?" Yang questioned, falling onto her ass.

"You are my reincarnation child, but my magical power, still remains sealed within to this day. Now with the power of the Dragon slayer, you have awakened it, and in time it shall be used to restore the Dragons to the proud and noble race they once were." Atlas said. "Now, BEGONE."

Yang woke with a bit of a start, finding the room had darkened, and was in a cold sweat. She sighed in relief when she realized she was only in her living room once again.

"Just a dream. Nothing but a dream." Yang sighed in relief, before noticing the weight on top of her. She pulled up the blanket, that no doubt Summer put on her, and saw Anya sleeping soundly, hugging her like a body pillow. "Never wanting to leave my side. How adorable." She smiled.

As gently as she could, Yang sat up, and held Anya in her arms, before getting off the couch, and heading up the stairs, as quietly as possible. All the while, with each step she took, the words Atlas Flame, spoke in her dream, rang clear in her mind.

'What does it mean? Am I really the reincarnation of a dragon, or is it just some weird dream I'm having due to adjusting to becoming a Dragon Faunus? I guess I've got one big mystery to solve.'
