Ruby scanned the ballroom for her sister. It'd been a while since she went to talk with professors Ozpin, Goodwitch, and Fullbuster. She glanced at the envelope that was meant for her sister. 'I wonder how much the heiress' mother put on this check." Ruby thought with an eyebrow raised

"Hi there!" a cheery voice said from behind her making the scarlet reaper shriek in surprise. Ruby turned around to see an orange haired girl smiling at her while a boy with black hair and a single pink stripe was behind her facepalming. The girl's demeanor immediately changed as she gained a sheepish expression whilst rubbing the back of her head.

"Sorry for scaring you." She said. "I think you almost made my heart skip a beat." Ruby said catching her breath. "Again, sorry for scaring you. I'm Nora." The orange haired girl said. "Ruby." the scarlet reaper said. "Well, Ruby. Those two girls that were with you. Were they dragon Faunus?" Before Ruby could reply a familiar voice spoke up.

"Already made a friend. I'm so proud." Yang said engulfing her. "Yang! Please your crushing me." ruby whined out feeling her ribs compress against her organs. To her shock yang didn't let go, but Nora physically peeled the human turned dragon Faunus' arms apart relieving the pressure. "You idiot. You could've crushed her ribcage if you continued with that bear hug." The orange haired girl berated.

"She's my sister." Yang said. "I think I know my own strength." Nora frowned. "Did you actually see the pained expression on her face? You could've broken her ribcage which would've punctured the lungs giving her internal bleeding." She ranted. "How would you know?" Ruby asked eyebrow raised.

"I'm half dragon Faunus." Nora said crossing her arms. This caught the sisters attention. "I'm sorry. Did you say half dragon Faunus?" Yang asked. Nora nodded. "I get my looks from my mother, but I do have a dragon Faunus form. However, I can't show you it otherwise I'd put a hole in the roof." She said.

"What about him?" Ruby asked pointing to Nora's friend. "Ren? No, he's hundred percent human." the orange haired half dragon Faunus said. "I'm Lie Ren, but please call me Ren. Nora does, you may as well do the same. That's when Nora noticed Anya peeking from behind Yang's legs.

"And who's this cutie?" she asked bending down slightly spooking the shy girl. "Oh, it's okay. I won't hurt you." Yang gave the half-breed a bitter smiled. "Sorry, she doesn't trust some people. Her name's Anya and she's my daughter." She said. Nora stood up frowning. "Let me guess. It was a Schnee." At yang's nod, Nora glanced at Weiss, whom was setting up her sleeping area. "It wasn't Weiss. It was her sister Winter." Ruby said before holding up the envelope.

"Ruby. What's that?" Yang asked. "Weiss gave it to me. said it was compensation from the SDC for the incident a week ago." Yang raised an eyebrow. "Guess that's two checks I need to cash." She said looking at the envelope in her hand.. "Two?" Nora asked before looking at Ren both having a perplexed look on their face. "The one I have is from General Ironwood himself." Yang said.

"Why would the Atlas Military give you a compensation check?" Nora asked genuinely confused. "Because my sister is a specialist in the atlas military. And from what I heard. my sister attempted to arrest her daughter under the assumption that she was a White Fang sleeper agent. She was so sleep deprived that she didn't stop to think after seeing her." The group of four turned to see Weiss with a sour look on her face. "Schnee." Ruby said.

Weiss looked at Yang. "I apologize for my sister's actions. I assume you already know this, but she went seventy-two hours without sleep." Nora whistled. "that's pretty long time without sleep. How did that happen anyway?"

"From what I know General Ironwood was contacted by- "Weiss began. "Our dad." Ruby said. "YOUR FATHER CAUSED THIS!" Nora exclaimed. "If he and I ever meet. I'll break his freaking legs." Yang smirked "And if you do… I won't stop you." She said. "I'm make sure he doesn't escape either." Weiss said.

Everyone looked at her. "What? I may dislike Faunus, but I know and sympathize with you on its like having a scumbag for a father." The Schnee heiress said before walking away. "There might be hope for her yet." Nora said. "By the way, yang. Are you a half breed with a Scale disorder?" Yang shook her head.

"No, I used to be human. Anya's the reason why I'm like this." The blonde Dragoness said. "Did she bite you or spit in your mouth?" Nora asked. Yang and ruby grimaced at the second part of the question. "Ew, gross. No. she bit me. What do you mean spit in the mouth. And what's a scale disorder?"

"There are two ways for a human or normal Faunus to become a dragon Faunus. You already know that the saliva of a dragon Faunus has a special genome. The first is obviously what happened to you. The second is if the saliva gets into a person's mouth. As for the scale disorder.. it's when a half dragon Faunus is stuck in their dragon Faunus form."

"Huh, interesting." Yang said. "If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask." Nora said.

Yang nodded before replying. "Hey, if its alright with you, mind if you be Anya's doctor. Because I don't exactly know what illnesses a dragon Faunus can get." Nora smiled "Not at all."

LATER THAT EVENING

Yang sat down next to Ruby whom was writing on a piece of paper. "So, what are you doing?" she asking. "Writing a letter to my friends back at beacon." Ruby said. "That's so cute." Yang said before promptly receiving a pillow to the face. "Shut up Yang. I got moved up two years. I couldn't bring my friends with." Yang gave her sister a somber smile.

"It's only been a single day Rubes. Besides you became friends with Nora and Ren. And Weiss… well, we're both on the fence with her." Yang said. Ruby chuckled. "I can't believe her mother wrote you a check for 500,000 lien. Add that to the 300,000 lien from the atlas military." She said. 'No wonder why Weiss' dad was so upset about that check.'

"Anyways, I'm going to read a bit more of Natsu's journal. Can Anya could stay with you." Yang asked Ruby as her daughter yawned. Ruby nodded. "Thanks." Yang said picking the journal up

Yang sat down with a candle holder with a few lit candles. So far, the Salamander's journal yielded nothing like Nora had told them. However, it did say things about the basics of the multiple abilities of different elemental dragon slayer magic. She'd have to ask Nora about elements later.

"Interesting read?" came a voice. "Looking up yang saw a black-haired girl with a bow looking at her. "Yeah, I'm learning about my new abilities being a dragon Faunus." The blonde said. "I see. Has it helped?" the girl asked Yang shrugged.

"A little, but not a lot." The blonde said before her daughter snuggled against her. "Sweetie why are…?" yang began. "Aunt Ruby was getting clingy again." Anya whined. Both teens giggled at the young girl's was at this point Anya noticed the ravenette.

"Mom she's the girl I told you about. The one who was kind to Aunt Ruby and I." she said. "Is that so." Yang said smiling before looking at the girl. "Blake, right?" the girl nodded. "Thanks for being nice to my sister and daughter." Blake nodded.

"Not at all, besides your sister threw a good punch at the Schnee." Both girls chuckled. "Well, we should both get to bed before we have a cranky Schnee yell at us." Yang said while Blake nodded. "Mind if I keep the candles, I'd like to read a bit before bed." Yang nodded marking the spot in which she stopped reading. "By the way, I like your bow. It goes well with your yukata."

Blake smiled. "Thanks." She said as yang passed her. However, a smell caught the blonde's attention. Blake smelled like a cat. Glancing a peek at the girl, yang saw her bow twitch.

'A faunas in hiding eh?" she thought. She'd have to confront the girl at some point later. A yawn caught her attention as she felt Anya snuggle into her chest. "To be honest she's very attractive" Yang said blushing slightly.
