Grace leaves the Roys' house first after their disastrous Thanksgiving dinner. Roman is still smarting from their final fight, her You wanna talk about how we only fuck once every six months? He does feel a pang of regret when he bends down to say goodbye to Isla, lying See you soon, honey, but otherwise he feels nothing as they walk out the door.

"Are you alright?" asks Gerri as she comes out to the hall to get her coat.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He actually is fine, despite breaking up with his girlfriend of three years, and he wonders if that makes him some kind of sociopath.

"I just spoke to Kendall." Gerri glances over her shoulder to make sure no one is listening. "I told him I work for Waystar Royco, not your father."

"Oh. Yeah?"

"So whatever you two are planning, I'm in."

Roman feels disloyal being in his father's home, plotting to fuck him over. "Could we maybe not talk about this here?"

"Of course. I'll be in touch with Kendall."

She brushes his arm as she walks past and he waits for the twinge of revulsion he gets whenever someone other than his father or siblings touches him, but to his surprise it doesn't come. He wonders how long it will take Grace to pack up her stuff at his apartment.
