Sitting on the patio of Crimson Lights, with her foot gently rocking the baby stroller, Rachel was lost in her thoughts. Twisting a coffee cup, in between her hands, she replayed all the happy times she had shared with Kyle, before reality kicked in, reminding her it was all over.

"Aunt Rachel?" a voice spoke beside her.

Rachel looked up with tears in her eyes, to see Andi. Quickly wiping away a few escaped tears, Rachel said, "Miranda, hi."

"Are you okay?" Andi said.

"I've had better days," Rachel sighed.

Taking a chair across from her, Andi said, "What's wrong? Is the baby okay?"

"She's fine," Rachel said, "My husband left me for another woman."

"You mean Kyle?" Andi said, "Why would he do that?"

"Because he didn't love me, the way I thought he did," Rachel said.

"I'm sorry," Andi said, "To lose a gorgeous guy like that, has to be hard."

"You have no idea," Rachel said.

"Actually, I do," Andi said, "I was dating this incredible guy, we even got engaged. Then, just like that he dumps me for someone else."

"I guess you do understand," Rachel said.

"Yeah, it tore me apart," Andi said, "But guys who treat us like that, who needs them?"

"Me," Rachel said, "I'm not going to lie, I want my husband back."

"He doesn't deserve you," Andi said, "Guys like him are snakes, not worth your tears."

"Let's talk about something else," Rachel said, "Like how I owe you an apology."

"For what?" Andi said.

"I promised to get together with you and catch up," Rachel said, "I'm not being a good aunt to you."

"You're going through so much other stuff, I get it," Andi said, "We will just get together another time."

"We will," Rachel said, "I haven't properly introduced you to your cousin." She gestured to the stroller. "Miranda, this is Diana," Rachel continued.

"She's very cute," Andi said, glancing at the sleeping baby, "I don't have much experience with babies. I'm not sure I would be good with them."

"I'm sure you will make a wonderful mother someday," Rachel said.

Laughing, Andi said, "Well that's a long way off…" Andi trailed her words, and lost her smile, looking into the coffeehouse.

"What is it?" Rachel said.

"Don't look now, but Romeo and his mistress just walked in," Andi said.

Rachel turned her head, to see Kyle and Summer, standing at the front counter.

"Could she wear anything a little briefer?" Andi scoffed.

"She's worn worse," Rachel said, holding her gaze on Kyle, until he noticed her.

Detecting the tense look between Kyle and Rachel, Summer said, "Let's get our dessert to go."

"No need," Kyle said, "We are all bound to see each other. I'm not going to run from it. In fact, I'm going over there."

"Kyle, I don't think that's a good idea," Summer said.

"I'll just be a few minutes," Kyle said.

Rachel and Kyle, kept their eyes on each other, until he reached them. "Rachel," Kyle said.

"Kyle," Rachel said.

"Miranda, nice to see you again," Kyle said.

"It's Andi," she retorted.

"Right," Kyle said.

"What do you want?" Andi said, "Haven't you hurt her enough?"

"I didn't come over to be hostile," Kyle said, "I wanted to know how you are."

"Not great," Rachel said, "I see you moved on already."

"If you mean Summer, we are spending time together," Kyle said.

"I'll bet you are," Rachel said.

"Yeah, I'm surprised you two got out of bed long enough to come to the coffeehouse," Andi said. Rachel tried to hide her amusement.

"I'm not prepared to discuss my personal life," Kyle said.

"So you are sleeping with the other woman," Andi said.

"Miranda…" Rachel said, signaling her to stop.

"I also came by to see Diana," Kyle said. The baby jerked awake at the familiarity of Kyle's voice. She looked back at Kyle, as he smiled and said, "Hi, daddy has missed you."

"Whose fault is that?" Rachel said.

"I'm trying to make this work," Kyle said, "In fact, would it be okay if I took her for a few hours? I would really like to spend time with her."

"You know, you can't just waltz in and out of her life, like this," Rachel said.

"If you like, we can sit down and talk about a more stable arrangement," Kyle said, "But I can see you are in no mood to be reasonable."

"I am not going to argue with you about it, in front of our daughter," Rachel said.

"May I have the next few hours with her?" Kyle said.

Rachel hesitated, before she said, "Fine. She's going to want a bottle in an hour."

"Noted," Kyle said. He slung the diaper bag over his shoulder and grabbing the handle of the stroller he said, "Let's go."

Summer looked surprised as Kyle, wheeled the stroller towards her.

"What's going on?" Summer said.

"Diana is going to spend the afternoon with us," Kyle said, "I thought we could take her to the park. You don't mind, do you?"

"No, I love to see this little angel," Summer said. She leaned into the stroller and said, "Hi Diana, remember me?" The baby instantly began to cry. "I guess not," Summer said.

Rachel watched, as Kyle lifted the baby out and settled her against his shoulder.

"I wouldn't have let him take her," Andi said.

"He does have a right to see her," Rachel said.

"Do you want to hold her?" Kyle said.

"Oh," Summer said, "Okay."

Rachel bristled as Kyle passed the baby off to Summer. "She's getting heavy," Summer said.

"Growing all the time," Kyle smiled.

Summer lost her smile, when she noticed Rachel watching her, with daggers in her eyes.

"Maybe you should take her back," Summer said.

"No, you're doing fine," Kyle said.

"I think we should head for the park," Summer said, putting the baby back in the stroller.

"Are you okay?" Kyle said.

"Yes, of course," Summer said, "I'm just excited to spend time with you and your daughter."

"Okay, then," Kyle said.

Rachel was fuming with jealousy, as she watched Summer latch onto Kyle's arm, as he pushed the stroller towards the exit.

Summer was laughing, as she sat on a picnic blanket next to Kyle, while he played with the baby. Laying back, Kyle lifted Diana high above him, causing expressions of joy on her face, while emitting squeals of delight.

"Nobody told me you could fly," Kyle laughed, repeating the motion several times over.

Sitting up, Kyle sat the baby against him, while he shook a stuffed bear at her, making it dance and fly towards her. More squeals came out, her hands grabbing hold of the stuffed toy, shoving limbs of the bear, into her mouth.

Laying the baby on her back, Kyle looked over at Summer, to see a big smile on her face.

"What's that about?" Kyle said.

"I love seeing you in total dad mode," Summer said, "You are so good with her. It's obvious she loves playing with you."

"I love it too," Kyle said, "How do you feel about me having Diana part time?"

"Have you and Rachel planned that?" Summer said.

"Not officially," Kyle said, "But I am sure we will have a joint custody arrangement."

"I think it's important for the two of you to spend time together," Summer said, "She needs her daddy in her life."

"But how do you feel about it?" Kyle said, "Watching me play with her, can get old for you."

"I know, being with you, means Diana will be a big part of our lives," Summer said, "I'm looking forward to watching her discover the wonders of life. I would like to think I could be a good role model for her."

"I want you and the baby to have time to bond," Kyle said, "Because, you're right. She is a big part of our lives. I don't just want you to bond, I would like you to help me raise her."

"You're talking like you want me to be her step-mother," Summer said.

"One day," Kyle smirked.

"You're getting ahead of yourself," Summer laughed.

"We are going to…" Kyle trailed, staring at the baby, "Did you see that?" he said, excitement in his voice.

"What?" Summer said.

"Diana just rolled over by herself!" Kyle said, "She's never done that before."

"Look out, she's on the move," Summer said.

Laying on her stomach, Diana was repeatedly pushing her arms down to lift her head and shoulders off the floor.

"Look, she's doing little push-ups," Kyle said.

"No, that's definitely a yoga move," Summer said.

Diana reached her hand out, grabbing a hold of Summer's thumb. "Oh, hi honey," Summer said.

"Go ahead, you can pick her up," Kyle said.

Summer lifted Diana off the blanket and onto her lap. Diana immediately grabbed a fistful of Summer's long hair and began gnawing the ends of it.

"Does that taste good?" Kyle said, "She's testing out your hair products. She's a natural for the cosmetics industry."

"I don't know if it's very good for her," Summer said. Wincing, she continued, "She has a strong grip too." Summer gently opened the baby's fist and extracted the hair from her grasp.

Her plaything taken away, Diana burst into tears. "Oh," Summer said, in surprise. She picked up the teddy bear and nuzzled it against the baby, but Diana was too upset to be amused.

"What now?" Summer said.

Kyle retrieved a bottle saying, "Rachel, told me she would need one of these soon. I guess the hunger kicked in."

"Okay, here you can take her," Summer said.

"Why don't you give it to her?" Kyle said.

"Me?" Summer said.

"Trust me," Kyle said, "If you feed her she will be your friend for life."

Summer took the bottle from Kyle, offering it to the baby. Her tears forgotten, Diana took hold of the sides and began to consume the contents.

"She's so precious," Summer said.

"Never a dull moment," Kyle smiled. He grabbed his phone and snapped a picture of the scene before him.

"What is daddy doing?" Summer said.

"Just taking a picture of my girls," Kyle said.

Kyle and Summer enjoyed the moment, when a voice startled them. "What is going on here?"

They both looked up, Kyle saying, "Chloe."

"What is this?" Chloe said.

"Just a little family time," Kyle said.

"Family?" Chloe said, "Where's Rachel?"

Kyle paused, before he said, "I take you haven't talked to her."

"About what?" Chloe said.

Getting to his feet, Kyle looked at Summer and said, "I'll be right back."

Following Kyle a few feet away, Chloe said, "What is going on?"

"Rachel and I, aren't together anymore," Kyle said, "We have split up for good."

"No, you can't be serious," Chloe said.

"Unfortunately, I am," Kyle said.

"But why?" Chloe said, "The last time I talked to her, she went on and on about how good things were between you. What happened?"

Kyle didn't answer, as Chloe looked from Kyle to Summer and back again. "Tell me you didn't," Chloe said, "You left Rachel for another woman?"

"My marriage wasn't working out," Kyle said.

"Do you have any idea, how much your wife is in love with you?" Chloe said, "How happy you made her, just by being her husband? Now…oh Kyle, what have you done?"

"I tried to make things work with Rachel," Kyle said, "I did everything I could. It's just with Summer it's…"

"I don't want to hear it," Chloe said, putting her hand up. Glaring at Kyle, she said, "You heartless jerk." Chloe rushed off.

Faith impatiently checked her watch, before looking towards the patio doors of the coffeehouse. Inside, Susie spied her friend and was about to walk over, when a voice spoke from behind her.

"Hi Susie."

Susie turned around, recognizing her visitor, she said, "Connor, hi."

"How are you?" Connor said.

"I'm okay," Susie said, "I didn't know you were home from school."

"For the summer vacation," Connor said, "So, I have lots of free time."

"That's nice," Susie said.

"It's nice to see you," Connor said, his adoration of Susie, evident in his voice and eyes.

"Yes, you too," Susie said, "It looks like you've grown."

"I'll be big and strong soon," Connor said.

"I'm sure," Susie said.

"Would you like to hang out with me?" Connor said.

"Oh, I don't know," Susie said.

"My Dad and I have moved into the Newman Ranch," Connor said, "I could show you the horses, or we could go swimming."

"Well, that sounds like fun," Susie said, "But I made plans to go out with friends." Susie looked out to the patio, hoping Faith would not leave.

"Oh…okay," Connor said, disappointed, "Maybe another time?"

"Maybe," Susie said, "If you will excuse me, I need to go."

Susie quickly walked towards the patio. "Hi Faith," Susie said.

"Susie, hi," Faith said, "How's it going?"

"I need your help," Susie said, "To rescue me form a ten year old's puppy love."

"Aww, does Connor still have a crush on you?" Faith said, "I saw you talking to him."

"He wants to hang out with me at the ranch," Susie said.

Faith laughed. "Oh, that's cute," she said.

"It's annoying," Susie said, "Anyway, what are you up to?"

"I'm waiting for a friend. We made plans to go to the movies," Faith said, "If he ever shows up."

"He?" Susie said.

"It's Moses and we are friends," Faith said.

"Are we now?" Susie teased.

"It's not like that," Faith said.

"If you say so," Susie said, "But here comes Mr. Wonderful himself."

"Stop it," Faith said, before smiling at Moses, "Hi," Faith said.

"Hi, sorry I'm late," Moses said. Both girls were quiet, looking at him. "Did I miss something?" he said.

"No," Faith said.

"Nothing," Susie said.

"You're both acting strange," Moses said.

"Because like you said, you're late," Faith said, "Have you met Susie?"

"Not officially," Moses said, "I've seen you around though. It's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you," Susie said.

"Are you coming to the movies with us?" Moses said. Faith looked sharply at Moses, wanting to be alone with him.

"Oh, I don't know if I should," Susie said.

"We won't mind," Moses said, "Right?" he looked at Faith.

Reconsidering, Faith said, "Sure. You should come with."

"Okay, thanks," Susie said.

"I thought we could go and see the new one, that just came out," Moses said, "It looks good and scary."

"I want to see that one too," Faith said.

"Uh…" Susie said, "I'm not old enough to get into a movie like that without an adult."

"Oh," Faith said, "We can pick something else."

"We could do that," Moses said.

"No, you know what?" Susie started, "Why don't you two go, without me."

"Now, I feel bad," Faith said.

"Don't be," Susie said, "We can hang out another time. I'm sure you and Mr. Wonderful will have a good time together."

"What did she call me?" Moses said.

Faith blushed as she said, "It's her sense of humor. Don't pay any attention to it. Let's go."

Faith glanced back at Susie, who smirked with a wave.

With the baby napping, in the stroller, Kyle and Summer sat, close together on the blanket. "Kyle?" Summer said.

"Umm?" Kyle replied.

"Are you okay?" Summer said.

"Don't I seem like it?" Kyle said.

"You've been really quiet since we put the baby for a nap," Summer said.

"I know, I'm sorry," Kyle said.

"Don't be sorry," Summer said, "Is there something on your mind you want to talk about?"

"I feel bad," Kyle said.

"Why would you say that?" Summer said.

"I don't like the way I left things with Rachel," Kyle said, "She was very upset and I hate that she got hurt so much."

"She needs time," Summer said, "You both do. I'm sure you're experiencing some level of hurt that your marriage is ending."

"I just…" Kyle said, "How can something that seemed so right and perfect in the beginning, fall apart so easily? When I realized I still loved you, I threw myself into my marriage, because I didn't want to admit my wife wasn't enough for me. I loved her and was so afraid of breaking her heart. Now, I have done exactly that."

"These situations are never easy for anyone," Summer said.

"Rachel is in so much pain, and it is all my fault," Kyle said.

"No, don't do that," Summer said, "Don't blame yourself."

"It is because of me," Kyle said, "There's no getting around that."

"It is not your fault, Rachel is having trouble dealing with her emotions," Summer said, "She will work through this and everything will be fine."

"Maybe, you're right," Kyle sighed, "Anyway, it's getting late, we should get Diana back home."

Pressing the doorbell, Chloe waited for an answer. Not getting any response, she rang the doorbell and knocked at the same time. "Rachel?" she called.

The door opened, and Rachel appeared the sadness evident in her eyes.

"Sweetie, I just heard," Chloe said, "I'm so sorry, I can't believe this."

"How did you find out?" Rachel said.

"I ran into Kyle," Chloe said, "He was with the baby and when I asked where you were, he told me. I'm in shock."

"You and me both," Rachel said, walking away from the door, prompting Chloe to follow her.

"Of course you are," Chloe said.

"We started that day, our marriage was good and we even made love the night before," Rachel said, "Then by the end of the day, I overhear him telling someone else he loves her, and he walks out on me." Her voice began to break. Chloe gave her a sympathetic look, as Rachel continued, her tears falling, "How could he do this to me?"

Her heart breaking for her friend, Chloe moved in to hug her. All Rachel could do was cry as she broke down on Chloe's shoulder.

"Shhh, it's okay," Chloe soothed, "You're not alone. I'm here to help you."

Walking with arms linked together, Kyle and Summer approached the hotel room. "This was such a wonderful day," Summer said.

Reaching the door, and unlocking it, Kyle said, "It's not over yet."

Kyle pulled Summer into an embrace, as they kissed each other into the room, Kyle kicking the door shut with the back of his foot.

Summer began to unbutton his shirt, when Kyle's eyes met the room, causing him to lose his smile. "What the..?" he stammered.

Smiling Summer looked up at Kyle, noticing his expression. "What is it?" Summer said. Following his gaze, Summer gasped when she realized the room was in complete disarray. Chairs were turned over, the contents of drawers and table tops littered the floor.

"Kyle?" Summer said.

Putting a finger up, Kyle said, "Stay here."

Summer watched as Kyle checked remainder of the room and the bathroom. "No one is here now," he said, "And the bathroom is a mess too."

"Oh, no," Summer said, with frustrated sigh. She walked to the bed, covered in clothes, as she picked up a few items. "Look at this," she moaned, "All of my clothes, they've been ripped apart!"

"What?" Kyle said. Walking to the bed, Kyle picked up a pillow, with a slash mark across it. "Even our pillows haven't been spared."

"Everything's ruined," Summer cried.

Kyle walked to the closet, and talking out two shirts still on their hangers, he held them up, to show Summer the torn material up the middle.

"We need to call security and the police," Summer said.

Throwing his shirts down in frustration, Kyle said, "Who would do this?"

"I know who did this," Summer said, "I think we both do."
