Happy Saturday!
Happy New Year, Happy Christmas to those who celebrated yesterday, Happy Epiphany/Kings' Day to all those who celebrate!

First of all, thank you for all the reviews and alerts.

Over the Christmas break I posted a little Christmas story called A Clueless Christmas. It's a futuretake from Business Class Girl and it's short and sweet. You can find it on my profile :)

Reminder on chapters: odd-numbered chapters are in EPOV, even-numbered ones are in BPOV.
Today we hear from Bella.

Usual disclaimer applies - I still don't own any of it.
Team Momo wouldn't exist without Midnight Cougar and Alice's White Rabbit with their red pens, or without AGoodWitch, Driving Edward, Mel, Maplestyle, and Eternally Addicted who pre-read and tell me if I'm off my rocker or not.

On with the show!

Chapter 4 - BPOV

Two weeks later, I was in the office, trying to make sense of James Masen's corrections to a pitch document I'd put together for him, when my desk phone rang.

"Good morning, Edward."

"Hello, sweetheart. How's this Monday morning treating you?"

I sighed. "Like a Monday. I'm buried in work, what else?"

His rumbling chuckles resonated on the line, deep and warm like honey. He wasn't using the speakerphone for this call. "I have a short question for you, then I'll let you get back to work."

"Fire away," I replied. I still didn't know if this was a work call or not.

"Do you have anything planned this evening?"

My plans for a non-descript, late January evening? Warm up some dinner; catch up on notes for my classes for the week. "Nothing I can't do tomorrow. Why?"

"Would you have dinner with me tonight? I'll cook for us at my place and drive you back afterward."

Somehow, I loved that Edward didn't imply I'd stay the night. I didn't think we were ready for sleepovers yet.

"I'd love to have dinner with you. What time?"

"Do you need to stop by your place after work? Otherwise, we can leave the office together."

This would be new for us. Another new thing in this new "us" we were forging together.

"I'd like that very much, Edward. But does your schedule mesh with mine? You're usually here until late."

"I will always change my schedule to mesh with yours, darling. I'll pick you up from your office at six."

And he did, under Alistair's surprised but happy gaze.

An update on updates: since I'm close to finishing writing this story, and I have a decent bank of chapters ready to go, I'm moving to weekly posting.

So I'll see you NEXT Saturday, January 14th.

Until then, please consider joining my FB Group, LaMomo's Lair, for teasers, story discussion, and other shenanigans. Just type the name in the search bar.
