Harley P.O.V.
It has been a few weeks since my near fatal brush with death on the Righteous Indignation. I woke up in a hospital. The doctors at the hospital helped me recover. I needed somebody to help me recover at home. The only other family member I had left was my uncle Scott. But, he has a sleeping disorder. My uncle Scott lived a few miles away from where I lived in Rose Hill, Tennessee up in Nashville. Luckily, Bucky let his aunt Iris look over me while I recovered from my injury. My sister Emily still hung out and did jobs with Bucky O'Hare and his friends.
Bucky's aunt Iris was like heaven. She was a sweet old rabbit. Her cooking was out of this world. Iris's cooking was so good, it made Gordon Ramsay's dishes look like it were done by a five year old kid. Her cooking was that good. I also introduced her various TV shows that I liked like ALF, He Man and the Masters of the Universe, Cheers, Bewitched, Knight Rider and SpongeBob SquarePants. Iris liked all of the TV shows that I showed her. Once I was well enough to be okay, Aunt Iris got accustomed to living in my house. It was like having a mother again. Aunt Iris often asked where my mother. I had to lie and say that my mother died years ago in a car crash. I couldn't tell the old rabbit the truth about what really happened to my mother: how she got disintegrated into dust along with half the population of the world. It hurt me bad.
I was on my computer. I was on Reddit. Aunt Iris was out exploring my world and what it had to offer. My sister Emily was watching TV downstairs. I was playing a level of Wolfenstein 3D, which is one of my all time favorite games. I was on a level. I was going through many corridors. I was listening to an album by one of my favorite alternative bands, Ween on Spotify. I was into my game. All of a sudden, I heard a voice in my head that wasn't from the band I wasn't listening to. It was a familiar feminine voice. The voice of Jenny the Aldebaran.
"Harley Keener, where are you? We need you and your aboard the Righteous Indignation! Please, activate your photon accelerator. Hurry! Ours is already turned on." Jenny said to me. I quickly paused my music and looked over to see the white furred, cat like face of Jenny inside of the memory stone.
"Why? What's wrong?" I asked Jenny.
"Harley, link up with us right, please! We need your help to save the koalas!" Jenny said to me.
"Are you guys in Australia?" I asked Jenny.
"What's Australia?" Jenny asked.
"It's a continent on Earth. Koala bears live there." I explained to Jenny.
"The koala's we're familiar with are on the planet Rigel 5." Jenny said.
"I'll help you guys save the koalas on this Rigel 5 planet. Give me a few minutes." I said to Jenny. I then saw Jenny's face disappear from the stone. I got off my computer and went downstairs to fetch Emily. Emily was watching cartoons on TV. I walked over to her. I told her that Bucky and his crew needed us aboard the Righteous Indignation immediately. She was excited to help Bucky O'Hare and his team. I left a note for Aunt Iris telling her that her nephew needed me aboard his ship. Me and Emily went to my bedroom and activated my photon accelerator. The magic door appeared. I opened the door. I was immediately greeted by Bucky and his crew.
"What's up?" I said to Bucky.
"Not up Harley, down. We can't get down to Rigel 5. The toads have taken control of the planet." Bucky said to me.
"First off, what the hell is Rigel 5? Second, why can't you guys go down to the surface of Rigel 5? Third, why have the toads taken over Rygel 5 and lastly, why do we need to go to this Rigel 5 place anyway?" I asked Bucky.
"Rygel 5 is a planet where the koala bears live. The toads have put some electronic roadblock that prevents us form reaching the surface of Rigel 5. I don't know why the toads are taking over Rigel 5, and the reason why we need to go to Rygel 5 is to save the koalas." Bucky said to me.
"You do realize that I know next to nothing about koala bears, beyond the fact that they live in Australia and they eat the leaves of some tree." I said to Bucky. I know almost nothing about koalas, except for the fact that they live in Australia. I've seen some images of koala bears. They look creepy as hell. No wonder they only live in Australia. Nobody in the United States would know what to do with the koalas.
"You said that you guys couldn't reach the surface of Rigel 5 because of some electronic roadblock. What is, like a forcefield?" I asked.
"Yes." Bucky said. "Got any ideas of how we could reach the surface of Rigel 5?"
"Double Bubble approaching Rigel 5." Blinky said. I saw a toad mothership approach the surface of Rigel 5. There was no shield or force field preventing those toad motherf**kers from entering the planet of Rigel 5.
"Hey! How come? How them toads got through? Their ship's made of metal just like ours!" Bruiser said. It was then that I figured it out. The only reason that the toads could pass through was that they were cold blooded. Therefore, the shield would prevent mammals from coming through.
"I've got it! The difference is they're coldblooded and we're not. The defense mechanism is programmed to keep out mammals!" I said.
"That means we can't get through to rescue the koalas!" Bucky said.
"We can't. But Blinky can." I said.
Regular P.O.V.
A toad supply ship is approaching Rigel 5. The Righteous Indignation moves up behind it.
"Toad supply ship, three o'clock." Jenny said. As the Righteous Indignation lines up with the other ship, the platform that lowers the Toad Croaker drops down on the right side of the ship. Bruiser, wearing a spacesuit equipped with a jetpack, steps out carrying a small crate of some kind. Bucky O'Hare wished good luck to his robot. Bruiser jettisons off the platform and moves underneath the toad ship and finds a hatch.
Once he found the hatch, he peered inside and sees stacks of crates and boxes. He places his crate alongside the others. Inside this crate was Blinky. The toad ship continues unhindered down to the surface of the planet. Cut to it on the landing platform of the Club Toad supply depot. Koalas unload the crates from the ship as Storm Toads sit around and supervise them. One of the toads were tasting chocolate covered mosquitoes (I'm not kidding). One of the Storm Toads opens a box and notices some robotic parts. The contents appear to be random junk connected by segmented grey tubing. Frix comes over and looks in.
"Eh, probably just some new part for Toadborg." Frix said. Both Frix and Frax (I'm not kidding, those are the actual names of the toads) get out of supply depot. Suddenly Blinky's head peers up from inside the crate and watches them go. His body quickly reforms from all the jumbled bits and pieces, and he hops out.
Harley P.O.V.
"Sure hope my little buddy's okay." Bruiser said. We were still on the Righteous Indignation. My sister with me.
"Don't worry, Bruiser, he can take care of himself. If anybody can shut down that defense shield, it's Blinky." Bucky said.
"I have a bad feeling about what's going to Blinky. I'm afraid that that the toads would do something terrible to him. What if he gets reprogrammed and sabotages the ship?" I asked Bucky.
"I know Blinky. He would never let himself get reprogrammed and he would certainly not try to sabotage the ship. Blinky will be fine." Bucky said to me.
"Just hope you're right, Bucky." I said.
Regular P.O.V.
Blinky was inside the main computer room of the Club Toad communications center, working feverishly at a bank of computers covered with blinking lights. Suddenly a shadow falls over him and a huge, green metal hand grabs him and lifts him off his feet. It was Toadborg. Toadborg took the android to an examination table. A bunch of toads were there. Next thing Blinky knew, he was being strapped to an an examination table in a laboratory of some kind. Straps across his body hold him firmly in place, and a large helmet is attached to his head, with cables leading to a big computer. Toadborg, the Air Marshall, Frix, Frax and Al Negator all stood around him.
Toadborg pulls down a big lever near him, activating some electrodes, bluishenergy crackling over the machine. Blinky convulses and yowls in painas the electrical current surges through him, his head spinning wildly around and around on top of his neck. The robot passed out.
