Bucky O'Hare P.O.V.
I was learning more and more about Harley Keener's world. He introduced me and my crew to such things as Star Wars, a movie franchise that's supposedly really awesome, Harry Potter: a book series about a boy who finds out he is a wizard and goes to some magical school, Star Trek, a TV series that features a group of humans in space who fight these aliens called "Klingons" aboard a ship called the USS Enterprise. It stars some guy named "William Shatner" who plays a guy named Kirk in the Star Trek show. Harley also introduced me and my crew to various music acts of his world, including "Van Halen", "Supertramp", "Heart", "Styx", among several other musical acts from his world. I listened to a couple of the Van Halen tracks. It blew my mind by how awesome it was. It was like nothing I'd ever heard before.
Me and my crew were heading to a planet called Sludge. There was a top secret S.P.A.C.E. facility that was located somewhere on the planet's surface. Why S.P.A.C.E. would want to house a top secret facility on a planet like Sludge is beyond me. The United Animal Council sent my crew here to go to a monitoring station. The air on the planet Sludge was polluted.
"Even toads avoid Sludge. Planet so polluted, this android would think they'd be right at home." Blinky said. I knew the planet Sludge was polluted. We didn't really have a choice. The United Animal Council forced us to go here. We had to go inside the monitoring station.
"But that makes it a great place to hide a top secret SPACE monitoring station." I said to Blinky. I looked at Jenny and me and her both pressed buttons on the console in front of us.
"Our intelligence agents can listen in on all toad broadcasts and communications." I said.
"Security has verified our identity, Bucky. We're clear to land." Jenny said to me.
I lowered the ship toward a large dome shaped building with a large door on the side. The door opened and I piloted the Righteous Indignation inside the monitoring station. Upon arriving, we parked the ship somewhere and we exited the ship. We were in a large room, coated in silvery tiles, with a large pool located in the middle of the room. A brown octopus popped out of the water. I immediately recognized the octopus as Dexter. He worked at SPACE as an attache. He was the guy who would be escorting me and my crew to the monitoring station.
"That's our contact?" Jenny asked in disbelief.
"Yep. The SPACE intelligence attache. He'll escort us to the monitoring station." I said.
"He's on octopus." Deadeye said.
"So. Everybody's got to be something." I said to Deadeye. It wasn;t my fault that Dexter was an octopus. If Deadeye didn't like it, it was too god damn bad. There was nothing I can do about Dexter being an octopus. It's not like I had the ability to change his appearance into a different animal.
"Fish stinks from the head." Dexter said to me, saying the secret password.
"Toads stink from defeat!" I proudly said back to Dexter.
"Yeah, them's the password and counter sign all right. I guess you're ok. Who thought of these stupid passwords?" Dexter said. Dexter turned and headed back to the pool of water.
"C'mon, you don't want to keep Major Bottlenose waiting." Dexter said.
"We won't need our ship?" I asked Dexter.
"The counicl didn't brief you. Figures. The stations underwater." Dexter said. I had no idea the SPACE monitoring station was underwater. If I'd known that, me and my crew would've came prepared with diving suits. We found some diving suits. Jenny put her diving suit on first. She handed me a helmet. I put the helmet over my head.
"Thanks Blinky. You and Bruiser stand watch here. We'll handle this." I said to Blinky. "If Harley and Emily stop by, tell them that we are going underwater at the monitoring station. He and his sister can join us if they want to." Dexter, Deadeye, Jenny and I jumped into the water toward the monitoring station. I looked at Jenny as we swam underwater. I could see she was a bit concerned about being underwater.
"Something wrong, Jenny?" I asked.
"No. I - I'm fine. I'm not like other cats.I like water. More or less." Jenny said to me. We followed Dexter to the monitoring station.
Harley P.O.V.
I was in the living room watching TV with my sister and Aunt Iris. It was mid afternoon. I was just chilling out. I was watching an episode of Cheers. Cheers was one of my all time favorite TV shows. It took place in a bar. I know, it sounds crazy, but it's true. The characters in Cheers were awesome. It starred many popular actors like Rhea Perlman as Carla Tortelli, one of the waitresses who worked at the bar, John Ratzenberger, who was known for voicing the piggy bank Hamm in the Toy Story movies, plays Cliff Clavin, a know it all and the bar's mail carrier, among several other famous actors and actresses.
We watched a few episodes of Cheers. I then decided to check up on Bucky O'Hare and his crew to hang out and see if they had any jobs for me and Emily to do. I spent several days trying to figure out the password to gain access to KOMPLEX. I finally was able to reach KOMPLEX using an old computer from the 1980s called the IMSAI 8080, the computer that was most famously used in the movie WarGames.
A couple of days ago, me along with Bucky O'Hare and his crew time travelled back to the 1980's to obtian an IMSAI 8080 computer in an attempt to hack into KOMPLEX the same way David Lightman hacked into the WOPR supercomputer in WarGames. I got it set up in my room. I tired every password I could think of that related to KOMPLEX or the toads. Nothing worked so far. I had to keep trying to get the password to hack into KOMPLEX.
Me and my sister Emily went up into my room and activated the photon accelerator. I opened the door that led into the Righteous Indignation. Me and Emily climbed up the ladder. We saw only Bruiser and Blinky aboard the Righteous Indignation. Where was everybody? I wondered. I saw Bruiser in the command deck. He was reading some magazine that looked like Playboy. I walked up to Bruiser.
"Where are Bucky and the rest of the crew?" I asked Bruiser.
"Bucky and the crew are at an underwater SPACE monitoring facility meeting with Major Bottlenose." Bruiser said to me. "Bucky said that you and Emily can come join them underwater if you guys want."
"An underwater facility? Hell yeah. That sounds awesome!" I said. "Let me get changed into my swim trunks." I went back into my room to get my swim trunks. I went into the bathroom to get changed into my swim trunks. Once I got changed into my swim trunks, I headed back inside the Righteous Indignation. I went back up the ladder. The side hatch door was open for me. Bruiser handed me a diving helmet, which I put on my head. It fit well on my head. I asked Emily if she wanted to join me underwater. She declined, offering instead to guard the ship with Bruiser and Blinky.
I exited the Righteous Indignation. I was in a a large room that was coated in silvery tiles, with a large pool in the middle. I jumped into the pool. I am a pretty good swimmer. I spent many years at the YMCA (Youth Men's Christian Association) learning how to swim. Plus, I was on the school swim team. I traversed underwater into the monitoring station. I seacrched for Bucky and his crew. I eventaully find them in a room with various sea creatures. There was a dolphin that was wearing a SPACE uniform and a hat swims up to greet Bucky and his friends. I was a bit surprised seeing a dolphin wearing clothes. I also saw a brown octopus. The dolphin looked a bit like Ecco the Dolphin.
"Hi, Ecco. I'm a huge fan of your games!" I said to the dolphin. Ecco is a dolphin who is the main character in a Sega Genesis gamed called Ecco the Dolphin, a game in which you play as a dolphin (I'm not kidding). Ecco the Dolphin is one of my favorite Sega Genesis games, second only to Streets of Rage and of course, Sonic the Hedgehog.
"My name is Major Bottlenose." the dolphin said to me.
"My name is Harley Keener. I'm a part of Bucky O'Hare's crew." I said to the dolphin.
"Come along, we'll have a look at the station, shall we?" Bottlenose said. We followed the dolphin down a corridor where layed a big ass TV screen. I was amazed. I couldn't believe technology like that existed underwater. There were various VHS monitors that were connected to the TV.
"We've just made an amazing discovery. That's why we summoned you guys here." Bottlenose said. The octopus inserted a VHS tape into the player. The screen showed a Toad TV advertisement for a show called "21 Hop Street", which was a parody of the TV show, 21 Jump Street. A Toad TV commercial came on.
"Major, please! You brought us here to watch toad re-hidden video?" Bucky said to the dolphin angrily.
"Sorry. The amazing discovery was when we played this tape backwards and ran it through our cryptology filters." the dolphin said. The octopus guy played the tape backwards. Suddenly, the face of KOMPLEX appeared. I hated that cocksucking piece of shit. KOMPLEX was giving a big speech.
"Today's objective - the planet Toxus 3 where you shall find the Matter Transmuter. This amazing device is the only one of its kind in the Aniverse. The Matter Transmuter can tranform any non-living material into any other substance. According to my spies, the Matter Transmuter was invented by a long lost civilization of vast technological superiority which once dwelled on Toxus 3 and buried somewhere on that planet the device remains. Now go. Dig among the ruins of the planet's dead civilization. Find the Matter Transmuter for the glory of Komplex." KOMPLEX said.
The video had to be fake. There was no way in hell there existed a device that could transmute matter. It's impossible to transmute matter. Bucky and us swam back up to the surface. I still doubted that an object like a matter transmuter even existed.
