Chapter Ten
"You want me to train you?" Caster asks the redheaded boy.
"Yes, my father only taught me bare bones of Reinforcement and not much else." Shirou answers. The two were in the makeshift workshop in the shed.
"Why not ask Archer's Master?"
"Well I could and probably will after the war is over, but you are a Caster. Your knowledge and usage of magecraft must have been very high when you were alive to be able to become a servant." He explains.
She ponders for a second, "Well I'm not really one to be won over by flattery so easily anymore, but since we are on the same side it would benefit us to make sure you are up to par. As of now you are the weakest one of us, Sakura not included. Alright I'll give you a few tests to see what magic suits you best before I get any lesson plans going. Be grateful boy, you will be the only modern day magus taught by someone from the Age of Gods and I expect you to be one of the best in your era before your life ends. Can't have a student of mine not up to par."
He gets excited, "Thanks Caster!"
"Don't thank me yet, we haven't even done anything to warrant a thanks." She motions him to sit and she faces him. "First, give me an in depth explanation of all of your abilities. Do not leave anything out, even if you think it is minor. On the battlefield, even the smallest of things can lead to a victory and this is also true for magecraft. Never overlook anything."
…
"Alright I think I got everything I need to know for now," Caster says after listening to Shirou. A notebook in her lap with scribblings of what she has been told and from a few tests. "Seems your magical skills are pretty lackluster. I don't know much about what the magus of this era views on magecraft other than from what I saw from my first Master and Rin, they would probably deem your skills on the lower side or borderline useless. To their view Projection is fully useless, Structural Analysis is situational, and would probably think your Reinforcement is your only good quality. However I do see potential with your Projection along with Tracing, which would make you a specialist in a category everyone would never think to use. The thing that surprises me the most is your Origin and Element."
Shirou tilts his head to the side, "Origin and Element?"
Caster face palms, "Your father really did give you bare bone training. No I take that back, bare bone would mean you have at least somewhat of an idea of what it is. You were pretty much thrown into the wild like Spartan boys were only without any training nor knowledge of what to do to survive. Origin is what defines a person's existence and directs one's action throughout life. To make a long explanation short, it's what you can call a person's instinct. The person will follow their instinct (Origin) like an impulsive order as if it was natural and you'd never be able to notice. Element is an alignment of what magecraft a person will be able to use with ease and at greater power. There are the main five elements you would be able to assume what they are easily along with sub elements that someone can fall into. I will not get into those at this time since they don't pertain to you. The reason is because both your Origin and Element are Sword."
"Sword is an element?" Shirou asks in confusion.
"Usually no, but this is magecraft we are talking about. Nothing is impossible with it. Now that comes back to why I said none of the other Elements pertain to you at the moment. Because you have such an obscure Element, any other type of magecraft will be a strain for you to learn and you won't be able to precisely use them. That includes anything from a simple flicker of fire to creating boundary fields." Caster explains to her new student.
"So if I can't use those, then how am I able to use Reinforcement and Structure Analysis?"
"That comes from you being an odd case. Even if your father is a fool to not teach you anything important from magecraft, he seemed to at least know what your specialty would be and it just so happens to be my idea as well." She states with a smile.
Shirou just stares at her, "Well don't just pause for dramatic purposes. Just spit it out."
Caster opens her mouth, but another voice comes out. "She's going to have you focus on Reinforcing your Projections with everything you Trace. Specifically swords mostly." The two turn to the doorway to see Archer leaning on it with his arms crossed.
"Yeah, how did you know?" Caster asks suspiciously.
"Because as you said it's the only thing he would be capable of doing and frankly I agree." Archer looks at Shirou, "I'd suggest if you go down that route that you learn some other magecraft down the line as well. You might get into situations your projections may not be able to cover, because swords can't alert you to dangers coming while you're sleeping like a boundary field can or heal a dying person."
"Since when does an archer know so much about magecraft?" She asks even more suspiciously. "Then again I've never heard of an archer in history who uses swords that appear out of nowhere." She puts her thoughts together and then takes a quick glance between Archer and Shirou's facial structures, "Unless your arsenal is really just you using magecraft, or more specifically Projection."
Archer's face drops, "I'm going to have to ask you to stop that line of thought."
Caster gets a smirk on her face, "But I thought Rin mentioned you didn't know who you are. Wouldn't this be your way of figuring it out?"
Archer gets a smirk of his own, "Two can play this game Bitch of Betrayal-" A bolt of lightning flies past and cuts his cheek.
"You can call me a witch or comment on the betrayals I had in my life, but the one thing you can never call me is a bitch," Medea tells him with a scowl on her face.
"Then I suggest you stay away from my identity. This pact was made by my Master and not by me. Do not tempt me for I will have no quarrel in dealing with you both despite the condition the Grail is in." Archer spits out before turning to leave, but not without telling Shirou one more thing. "When training, keep in mind about why you are training and what you will use your power for. Saving everyone is a fool's dream that will only end in hell for you and possibly anyone you save. Instead, think about who you should prioritize that are actually worth saving."
When Archer leaves Shirou turns to Caster, "There's something about that guy that I can't help but hate."
Caster studies the redhead in front of her before nodding, "I think the feeling is probably mutual. Even if I don't care for him either, I can't deny he has a point. I still believe you should specialize, but learning a few other basic magic wouldn't hurt." She gathers up her notes and looks through them again. "For now, I'm going to get a lesson plan going for you. In the meantime, I suggest seeing if you can get Saber or your brother to give you some weapons training. Being able to make weapons would be useless if you didn't know how to properly use them anyways."
Shirou walks in the Emiya dojo seeing Mason and Saber sparring after finishing up with Caster. Well it was supposed to be a spar, but it's more like Mason tiring himself out slowly. Eventually the sweat Mason has dropped on the floor makes him slip and having Saber with a wooden sword at his throat. Shirou laughs and claps, "Bravo Mason. I must say I have never been more impressed to see someone lose by their own sweat."
Mason shoots his brother a glare, "It's not as easy as it looks. My fighting style isn't made to go against Servants or anything else that has unlimited stamina." Mason grunts up and tosses his wooden sword to Shirou, "I'd like to see you try beating a Saber class in a sword fight with your rudimentary skills."
"Well seeing as I have depth perception, I should do better than a cyclops." Shirou teases, causing Mason to flip him off while 'scratching' his nose. He takes a place in front of his Servant.
"Are you sure about this Shirou?" Saber asks him. "Unlike your brother, you aren't very trained in sword fighting to last as long as he did. From what I can tell, you have more skill with a bow."
Shirou relaxes his position, "Well I just had a long discussion with Caster about my magecraft. Seems my Origin and Element is Sword. So she figured along with her teaching me about magecraft…"
"You should learn swordplay from me." Saber finishes nodding. "Yes I can see what she's getting at. Makes sense to focus yourself on what your instinct would default towards." She looks up to see Shirou's astounded face. "I may not be a magus but my court wizard, Merlin, taught me some basic things along with knowledge of magecraft. It wouldn't befit a king to not learn about anything that can threaten my kingdom and the people that live in it. Plus it'd be idiotic not to understand it sense I only became king by pulling a magical sword out of a stone."
"Ah, so there's more to the king dick girl than meets the eye," Mason calls out, which only results in having a wooden sword thrown at him with enough force to be ejected from the dojo.
"Will you stop mentioning my dick? It was a one time thing!" A red faced blonde demands.
Shirou gets a very confused look. "Wait, what's this about you having a penis?"
She facepalms, "Well since neither my wife or I was a man, Merlin used his magic to create a one use penis to produce an heir. It would disappear afterwards."
He tries to wrap his head around the new information. "So… Huh? Wait, I'm so lost. You have a wife and you need a magic penus to make an heir?"
Saber sighs, "Had one yes. Every king needs a queen after all." She motions Shirou to sit, "You have to realize back then men had most, if not all the power and rights. Even when I pulled Caliburn from the stone, I had to hide the fact that I am a woman. A man could have easily just tossed me aside and claimed he pulled the sword. No one would have believed me if I told anyone. Thankfully I had Merlin with me and helped hide the fact I am a woman. Plus when I got Excalibur, it kept me from aging." She then touches her chest. "Not aging prevented me from growing large breasts, and that helped my case as well. Also I did look like a teen your age then my actual age. Take the good with the bad, I guess. Though I was the type of king who would do anything for my kingdom, so the sacrifice was worth it. There were only a select few who knew I wasn't a man. One of them was my wife, Guinevere."
"Oh so you're only into women?" Shirou asks somewhat dejectedly.
Saber grins a little before laughter is heard by the doorway. They both turn to see Mason holding his sides laughing, "Pfft! Shirou… You should see the look on your fac-" Another wooden sword sends him flying back out of the dojo. Shirou looks at his hands to see his weapon now gone from this grip.
Saber continues ignoring the groans from outside, "Anyways I will tell you that I didn't marry Guinevere out of romantic love. While I won't deny I don't occasionally find some females attracted," Saber eyes Rin bent over figuring out why Mason is sprawled outside for a moment, "I'm more into men. I did love Guinevere as a friend though. She was the closest friend I had and I'm lucky that she agreed to be my wife." A small fond smile graced her lips. "It was private moments with her that allowed me to put aside King Arthur and become Artoria Pendragon once again." Her smile fades away, "Sadly the moment she finally found someone to love started a snowball to the Battle of Camlann. And when I thought I found a way to fix my past in the last Holy Grail War, I came face to face with…" She trails off looking down.
Shirou stands and moves closer to her, "Saber…"
She looks up to him for a moment before brushing her thoughts aside, "I'm fine Shirou. Luckily it seems I'm the only one from the previous war re-summoned, so there's nothing to worry about.
"AAAaaaachooo!" A black knight gurgles out.
Valia looks up from her operation table, "Whatever you have, keep it to yourself. I don't need mana filled snot in my test subjects." A door opening brings her attention to the newcomer. "Ah Master, how goes your endeavor?"
Skorr walks into the room and takes a place next to her. "Far better than I expected, the boy is in a great condition to be turned."
She watches as a greedy smile crawl on his face. Valia puts down her tools and straddles into his arms. "I know that look you have. It's a look you only get when talking about either I or Lord Nihilus. You must have learned something interesting about him to get you this way."
Skorr easily accepts his fellow Sith to be with him, "Indeed. It seems the legacy of Darth Revan still remains."
"Truly?" She asks with wide yellow stained eyes.
"It is true my love. Not only that, he has a strained relationship with the Jedi. He blames his own Master for many problems he has. The hate and the anger is strong with the boy. He also has many fears that could be played upon. It is as if the Dark Side itself is handing us a powerful gift in hand. So whether he comes willingly or not, he will fall. And if on the rare chance we can't control him, he has been self trained for the last half of his life. Killing him will not prove difficult and there will be no Shadow to stop me next time." Skorr explains while brushing the dirty blonde hair away from Valia's face. "So I will now ask if your endeavors have gone as well."
Valia groans and leaves his arms to plop back down in the chair. "Sadly it has not. With the failed attempt of capturing Lancer causing us to lose two Shadow Servants and Assassin's piss poor battery life, manipulating the Grail to get more Servants is still difficult. That damned Shadow just had to show up and ruin things! Unless we get something better than Ass over there, we'll have to contend with gargle knight, jeepers creepers mage, and one hundred and one skull masks."
"Tsk," Skorr clicks his tongue. "It'll have to do until I can get the boy and his Servant. Hopefully we don't have any more unwanted visitors snooping around. Speaking of which, any other reports about that pest you encountered a few days ago?"
"Do you mean old bug fuck man?" She asks in disgust. "There have been sightings of worms and insects swarming outside the temple grounds, but it seems the trash is smart enough to delay his death enough to annoy us without violating the warning I gave him."
He pinches the bridge of his nose and shakes his head. "He is a nuisance we need rid of before he gets in a position to threaten us. Send a couple of the Shadow Assassin to spy on him and his family. Find a way to get to him by any means possible. Even if it means making a deal with another enemy." Skorr looks over to Lancelot to see the Servant is taking a special interest in the current topic. His brow lifts slightly at this. "Berserker, you wouldn't happen to know who we are talking about would you?" The knight stares at the Sith Lord before growling and giving a small nod. Skorr grins at this and looks to his lover, "You see my apprentice, everything has a use other than being a mindless killing machine. Using your mind can sometimes prove more beneficial than mindless pain and torture." He redirects his attention to the Servant and enters his thoughts. "Now let's get past the mindless insanity and see what you truly have to say."
Lancelot cocks his head to the side at the intrusive words, but finds himself able to think somewhat clearer. "Zouken… … Head of… Matou Family… One of… Three Founding Families of … Grail War… Previous Master… Kariya Matou… Family Members… Shinji and Sakura… Matou…"
Skorr gets an evil grin and looks to Valia who has been listening in on them. She shares an equal grin, "I will begin investigations on the family at once Master." She bows to Skorr before taking her leave.
Skorr watches her leave before turning to the knight, "Come Servant. You said that the Matou is one of three families. Let's pay a visit to one of the other two."
"Are you sure you want to leave so early, Tohsaka-san? I just started making dinner." Shirou asks his fellow Master.
"I'm quite sure Emiya-kun," She answers, slipping her shoes on. "Your house is a decent place for a base of operations since you have two Servants and a boundary field, but all my father's work and research about the Grail is at my house. I'll gather what I can and be back tomorrow. Besides, I have Archer with me and anyone other than your sister and Berserker shouldn't be a problem for us."
Shirou is unconvinced but relents, "Alright, be careful then."
"Please I wouldn't do anything you would, like jumping in front of an attack." She teases before heading out the door.
She makes her way down the street with Archer in material form. Although she doesn't expect any trouble while the sun is still out, being a little cautious doesn't hurt. She passes by a playground with kids playing about and moms sharing gossip. Dads are leaving work and passing right by her. Soon enough she is only a few blocks away from her house and is grateful for not running into trouble. Sadly for her, the jinx gods love to mess with people who count their blessings too early.
"Master," Archer calls to her in their telepathic link. "I'm detecting a Servant in our area."
"Is it one of ours?" Rin asks hopefully, despite knowing the real answer.
"Do I need to answer that?"
Rin sighs, "Any chance it's anything but Berserker?"
Archer hesitates before answering, "I'm currently questioning what I am detecting. The signature is like a Berserker, but it is not Hercules. But that doesn't make any sense. We've already met every Servant other than Assassin, but if this was Assassin then it would have Presence Concealment not like another Berserker."
Rin is momentarily questioning her own Servant's detecting skills until she turns a corner and sees a red-faced man in black armor standing there. "Hey Archer, is it just me or do you see an alien as well?"
"I see him too," Archer confirms. "Based on Mason's description of his encounter at the temple, this alien is wearing the same armor without the helmet. If he does have the same power Mason has then we better be extra careful. Chances are this alien has more experience than our ally." Rin nods in agreement and puts a hand in her pocket of jewels.
Skorr decides to take the chance to start a conversation before a fight starts. "Rin Tohsaka."
Rin lowers her brow, "Never heard of her."
Skorr smirks a little, "You have a good instinct to not reveal who you actually are to a newcomer. Unfortunately that won't work because I already know who you are. However I'm willing to avoid bloodshed if you only answer a few of my questions."
"Bloodshed? You must think I'm pretty weak if you think I'll go down easily." She grips a jewel in hand waiting for an opportune moment.
The Sith gets an amused chuckle, "I do in fact know you are weak. However the bloodshed I am referring to isn't yours." He gestures behind her.
Rin hesitantly turns her back on him and looks where he is pointing. By the playground she passed a block ago, a black knight hides within the shadows overlooking the kids. The red in his visor simmers a crimson glow of wanting a fight. Rin instantly understands what Archer said earlier and pinpoints the knight as a Servant. She quickly turns back to Skorr, "You wouldn't be so stupid to attack with a Servant in open daylight, let alone on a civilian population! Do you know how hard the Clock Tower would-"
"I am not bound by your pathetic group of imitators. What they can do is insignificant compared to the power of the Force. So I will let my tool run wild in broad daylight and in front of everyone if it leads me to my goal." Skorr blatantly states.
"You shouldn't get overconfident, magecraft is stronger than you think." She pulls her hand out and shoots the jewel at him. He nonchalantly waves his hand and the jewel is swerved off course into a house. Rin pulls out a couple more, but none of them end where she wanted them to go. Skorr grows bored of the games and raises a hand in a grip position. Rin's throat begins to tighten and she drops to her knees gagging.
Skorr just shakes his head, "Stupid girl. Your feeble skill is no match for the power of the Dark Side! All I wanted was some answers and now I have to extract it from your-" He pauses when he gets a warning in the Force. He jumps away and the area he was in is caught in a blast. Skorr looks to the source of it to find Archer on a building readying another shot. He takes out his lightsaber and throws it at the shooter. The shot is destroyed midair and the saber keeps spinning until the bow is cut in two. Archer clicks his tongue and jumps down before the lightsaber starts turning around and hits his back. He projects another bow and fires off a few more shots at the Sith. Skorr ignites his second lightsaber and hurls them one after another destroying any shots the Archer can fire.
Archer discards the bow and projects his twin swords to begin a melee. However his opponent rushes away from the playground and lands in front of Archer. The former Hero of Justice immediately changes targets and swings down at the Servant. Berserker blocks the attack with his arm and the swords collide with the black armor. The armor may have saved him from a cut, but the force of the swing is enough to knock him back a few meters. The knight quickly recovers and begins to reengage. Archer projects another two pairs of swords and charges mana into them. He lets the swords fly towards the attacker, but the outcome didn't plan out the way he wanted. Instead of the swords exploding on and around the knight, Lancelot grabs two of them and they fall under his command as he knocks the other four out of the air before they can hit them. Archer tries to de-project the twin pair in Berserker's hands, but finds they no longer listen to him. He then curses at himself in realizing who he is truly fighting now. No matter what he projects to throw or shoot at him, Lancelot can and will use said weapons against Archer. That leaves him with only one option, engage in a sword fight with a Knight of the Round Table who will not relent his attacks. Archer curses at his situation as he projects another Kanshou and Bakuya and starts a hopeless duel while planning an escape route for his Master.
Rin on the other hand is having as much luck talking to a brick as she is 'fighting' Skorr. Well fight isn't the right word for it, more like delaying a death as he cuts off every escape route she tries. Dammit this guy is no joke when it comes to his powers. I honestly almost believe him now when he says this world's magic isn't much to him. Fuck, fuck, fuck! How the hell am I supposed to survive this?! She fires off three gems at once and ducks behind a wall. The attack is cut short by the color red without much effort.
"It is pointless to resist!" Skorr shouts out. He outstretches a hand and yanks the wall Rin is behind down. She tries to run, but Skorr lubs a saber at her and cuts her achilles heel on her left foot. She falls to the ground and tries to stand back up, however the cut tendon prevents her from standing on that foot. She topples back down and grunts in pain. Rin flops to her back and struggles to move backwards while firing off as many gems she can to keep him away. The Sith deflects the attacks away and Force pulls the rest of her jewels in her hand away. He deactivates a saber and places it on his belt as he stands a couple feet away. "I'm only going to ask once, will you cooperate with me or will you continue to be defiant in your beaten state?"
Rin slowly moves her unseen hand into her last four gems she keeps on her that has the highest charge. "And what guarantees you let me live after I tell you?"
"You misunderstand." He begins to tell her. "I'm not offering you to keep your life, I never planned on you leaving here alive. You and your Servant pose too much of an unnecessary risk to leave alive. No, I am offering to end your miserable life as quickly as possible."
"So death or eventual death? Sorry, but I choose door number three!" Rin brings out the last jewels and outstretches her hand. Each of them grips between a different finger and creates a powerful blast on Skorr. He is sent backwards and he grabs the ground dragging his hand along the road. He comes to a stop and sets himself upright. He spits blood out of his mouth and his yellow eyes glow much brighter.
"Defiant to the end is it? In another life I would love to have made a Sith out of you. However the Force isn't on your side." He marches up to her with a maddening smile. "Luckily for me, I was hoping you chose the second option. My apprentice usually handles the tortures, and it has left me with an unsaionable hunger to inflict it. Now you will experience the full power of the Dark Side!" He raises his empty hand and unleashes lightning from his hands. It hits Rin and she starts convulsing and screaming from pain. It is unlike anything she has ever felt. The lightning attacks every part of her from her nerves to her bones to her skin and even her soul.
Archer pales over from the pain Rin is experiencing and looks to the source. "Rin!" He tries to hurry to her, but Berserker is relentless for his lust of chaos. Archer parries a weak uncontrolled attack and manages to swat the swords from the Servant's grip. With the swords back in his control, he detonates them to blow Berserker away enough to reach Rin. Archer rushes the Sith and catches his attention. Skorr looks over, drops his saber from his other hand and lets sparks fly from his fingertips. Archer projects a basic shield and has it tank the lightning. Skorr, without missing a beat, flicks a finger and sends the falling saber towards the advancing red Servant. Archer projects a sword and hits the handle of the lightsaber to avoid being hit. The saber turns off and flies past his shoulder. What Archer didn't expect is to hear the re-ignition sound and turning to see Lancelot charging at him with the saber that is now boosted to a noble phantasm. He drops the shield and jumps out of the path of the lightning. It sails past and Berserker blocks it with the red blade. Skorr stops his attack and lets the knight continue distracting the bowman. Archer watches as Berserker swings at him with a weapon his typical arsenal can't block. He glances at Rin who is still taking a beating from the lightning. I really don't want to use your sword, but it's the only thing I can think of that can both block a lightsaber and clear a path. He closes his eyes, "Trace On." Visualizing the weapon he hasn't used in years, he projects the blue and gold sword into his hands and clashes with the crimson lightsaber.
Lancelot is taken aback from seeing the sword in Archer's hand and yells in anger, "AAAAARRRRTTTTHHHHUUUURRRR!" Archer kicks Berserker away with enough Force to send the black knight right into Skorr. Skorr looks over only to get hit and sent into the broken house he caused earlier.
Archer runs to Rin and finds her barely conscious. She looks to his hand and is stunned by what he is holding, "Ar…cher… is that?"
He adjusts Caliburn in his hand, "Yeah it's the Sword of Selection, but only a copy of it." A nose in the rubble turns his attention to see Skorr lifting debri off of him and Berserker violently kicking whatever is on him while shouting the same name. "Master, I'm going to apologize and let you know I'm most likely going to heavily drain your reserves." Rin only faintly nods. Archer grips Caliburn with both hands and begins to chant, "Sword of Selection, grant me the power! Cleave the wicked! Caliburn!" A beam shoots from the tip of the sword and Archer thrust its power towards the Sith.
Skorr grits his teeth and outstretches both of his hands. He harnesses all of his hatred and anger to push back the power. The attack goes inches from his hands and his feet are dragged backwards as he tries to defend himself. The Dark Side radiates all around him and forms a semi shield around him. Desperate as the Sith Lord is, he sees Berserker near him and launches the mad knight at Archer with what he can reserve from holding the attack back.
Archer sees cracks quickly begin to form on the projected Caliburn the longer he uses it. Just a bit longer, come on! He tries to increase power, but feels his mana reserves to dry up. The sword of selection cracks faster and faster until it can no longer retain its form. It breaks and the weakened Noble Phantasm stops its attack. To make matters worse, there's a flying Berserker heading straight for him and Rin. He tries to project the twin swords, but is only able to make one. He looks down at the damage path he causes and sees a long crater reaching a couple blocks. At the end of it, he sees Skorr panting and trying to catch his breath. Fuck! Just my luck. What happened to this being a normal Grail War where a Noble Phantasm, even if it's a weakened version, is stopped by someone other than another Noble Phantasm? This Force shit is nothing but an overpowered ability! Archer sets up a guard for a last stance. However the flying knight never reached his target because a barrage of weapons sent Berserker away. Archer looks towards what caused the attack and sees the last person he wanted to see.
"Faker! It seems you are causing quite the mess aren't you?" A blonde man with red eyes and a suit calls out. Golden portals hover around the man.
"Gilgamesh," Archer identifies. "Were you waiting for me to become completely empty before you kill me?"
"I am actually investigating who the idiot is that is drawing the attention of everyone in the country." The man retorts.
"Well that would be Tweedledee and Tweedledum over there. That man has no tact to hide anything he is doing." Archer points to Skorr who has regained his breath and is coming from the crater.
"Ho? And a Servant like you couldn't manage to kill a simple mortal? How the Faker has fallen." Gilgamesh mocks.
"He is no simple mortal. He managed to hold back a Noble Phantasm." Archer informs the man.
Gilgamesh cocks a brow, "He did?" He examines the area and sees the attack did indeed lead to the Sith. "So he did. Let's see him try this for size." He snaps his finger and more portals appear around him and an assorted of weapons appear from each of them. They all aim at Skorr and shoot forwards. The red alien looks to the attack and with a reach of his hand, they all freeze mid air. Then with a flick of his hand, they fly back at the Babylonian King. Gilgamesh opens the Gate of Babylon and takes the weapons back into it. He then sports a mid scowl, "I am the King of Heroes! You mongrel dare to use my treasures against me?!"
"Any man who says 'I am the King' is no true king. You are only a tool pretending to be a god." Skorr disses before lifting the rumble around him and hurling it at Gilgamesh. The king sends this treasury out and turns the rumble to dust before sending more towards Skorr. Skorr ignites both lightsabers and starts deflecting any weapons he is unable to stop with the Force. The blonde keeps up his attack until Lancelot returns and starts taking the weapons from the air and deflecting the weapons as well.
Gilgamesh clicks his tongue, "Tsk, I can handle the mad dog fine since he amuses me, but you mongrel infuriate me more than anything! Faker," He calls to Archer without looking, "I am giving you only one chance to leave. Be grateful for my sympathetic heart, before you get caught up in this rampage." Archer needs no other warnings and lifts Rin in his arms and races away from the escalating battlefield. "Now mongrel," More than a few hundred portals appear around the three, "I will begin to erase you from this world."
Author's Note:
What a way to stop the chapter. Now I could have been nice, but leaving it as is makes it much more fun for me. I know a few of you might question whether or nor the Force is able to withstand a NP, and I understand why you would. However since the Force varies way too much, it's impossible to be exactly sure. Though I will say I allowed Skorr to hold it back because Archer is only using a projected and weakened version of Caliburn combined with only having a limited amount of mana to use it. Now if Saber used Excalibur with limitless mana, that is a whole different story that even with plot might seem like a bull shit excuse. I hope that addressed that concern if you had it.
Ben (Guest): I'm glad you're liking it!
sheikhrjela: I do like your idea of Caster teaching Shirou as I'm sure you could tell by the beginning. I do have a couple of characters trying to get things through Shirou's stubborn head and hopefully he is able to be more versatile and have a better understanding of things.
keybladelight: I do indeed have something planned for Valia and Sakura which will be delved into within the next few chapters. What it contains is something you'll have to wait and see. Though the split personalities is a coping mechanism Sakura made when she first started hearing those dark thoughts and it evolved to this. How Mason handles it might be something you, nor anyone would might expect. I gotta keep some secrets. And Mason's own struggle will plague him some more because I'm somewhat of a sadist towards my characters. (Seriously there's a reason I can write Valia with so much joy it's almost creepy.) Don't worry, ShirouXSaber is still happening. I can't write the Ex-Eroge Protagonist without him ending up with someone. While I like the idea of using Taiga Dojo, I'm not sure where to fit it on here. Maybe I can substitute the Author's Note for it, but honestly I'm not that creative enough for it yet. I will however 100% tease everyone and everything I can, and you can bet I haven't forgotten Caster's obsession with Saber. I wonder the shenanigans the witch will do when they live under the same roof... Lastly I loved the Obi-Wan show and whether I have him in it other than a hologram is a coin flip really. I hope that answers everything.
