Chapter 11: Good Girls Go Bad

"Let's go on a black ops mission!" Christina squeals, "Like Will, when he goes paintballing with Uriah and his friends," she flings herself at me as I dart out of her way. "What does Will do in the Army exactly?" I ask, wondering aloud. She shrugs her shoulders, giggling, "Beats me! Whenever I ask him, he always says he can't say or can't talk about it. Then he always laughs, saying if he did tell me, he would have to shoot me. He does take off in the middle of the night, leaving notes telling me not to worry."

"Like Jame Bond." I laugh with her, enjoying myself more than I should. "Yes! Exactly!" She wiggles her eyebrows, "A hunky James Bond with no British accent and facial scruff. That's what I call him, secretly in my head, you know since he is always disappearing."

"How are we going to manage this? " I ask, confusion lacing my voice while I watch Chris tug open the bedroom door. Christina grins, "Well, since you won't let us use Four's camouflage, then with black clothing obviously." She laughs while dragging me into the bedroom. "Aren't we going to get them into trouble? Possibly ruin their careers?" I ask while she begins pulling apart the drawers to find clothes for both of us. "Here wear this!" She says tossing me a pair of black leggings, a long black sleeve shirt, and a black beanie that belongs to Tobias. Christina laughs, shrugging her shoulders, not answering my questions.

"But, how are we going to know where they are?" I ask, knowing our plan is going to fail epically. She looks at me flabbergasted, answering, "Tris, must I do all the thinking?" She taps me on the head playfully, replying, "We are going to break into Asshat's office, of course. He will surely have maps, and all the higher officer's offices should be in one building at least they are in New York."

"Okay, let's hope so! Otherwise, I know nothing about anything on this base. I don't even know where the airfield is. Everything is so secretive." I reply while Chris laughs at me, rolling her eyes. We apply each other's makeup dark with heavy eyeliner and dark eye shadows, she grins, "Everything is so secretive due to Air Force One being housed on this base. They don't want anyone just knowing where that is."

Christina and I laugh while we make our way up the street, and skip down the road together excitedly, looking like a pair of schoolgirls dressed all in black. I feel more excited about the prospect of seeing Tobias tonight as we draw closer to the center of base where all the major offices are located. "Christina?" I ask. She looks at me with concern, "How are you going to know where Will is if you don't know what he does in the Army?" I ask, beginning to question the whole plan.

"I know his unit number." She smiles at me, then winks, my brain feels foggy from all the wine, Christina stops to look at a map, and I try to remember which way to the offices. After all, I didn't pay much attention last time I came with Tobias. We had been out walking the base all day sightseeing. I pull Christina's arm, giggling, "This way!"

She starts running faster, giggling with me, pulling on my arm, and before I know it, I am on my butt, on the ground in front of a familiar-looking building. A smile sweeps across my lips when we get on the elevator after Christina sweet-talks herself into the building. On the other hand, the whole base knows Captain Eaton, is my other half, rather than face his wrath, the soldiers don't bother me ever, unlike the one time at Travis when they tried to throw me off of the base for not having an ID with me. They let me walk into any building, I am even greeted with, "Good Evening, Mrs. Eaton," by the man standing behind the counter. The greeting brings a smile to my face. News of our marriage got around base fairly quickly, but only to people Tobias wanted it to get to, other people are still in the dark about our wedding. It can stay that way as far as I am concerned.

The elevator's ping brings me out of my thoughts. Christina says, "Ten minutes, and I will meet you out front of the building. Find the map, Tris." She gets off the elevator floor labeled Army singing, "Come to momma!" I continue my ride up the next three floors, stepping off the elevator into a darkened hallway, I feel lost. The blue Air Force symbol is the only thing lighting up the hallway. I turn my flashlight on, to see the names on the doors. I don't know Colonel Asshat's real name, all I know is what Tobias and Zeke call him. I turn the flashlight off ready to give up, my breathing quickens, and I begin trying all the doors in a panic. They are all locked. The door at the end of the hallway opens when I twist the handle and excitement races through my heart.
