Hope you are all are excited about the story updates. I know that its been a bit since I last updated this story. And last when I updated we saw the surprise that Yusuke, Ema and Keiko had come up with. Also we saw a bit of Subaro's thoughts as well. Hopefully you will enjoy this update as well.

It was morning in Kobe as Subaru got up to head out for a run. It had been about a week since his brother's birthday and the surprise that the ladies of the house had come up with along side the London three. He still couldn't figure out how Keiko didn't say a word to him about it in the many text messages they shared. Sure it was a great surprise, he wasn't ready for her when she hugged him from behind.
Subaru was also not going to admit that it felt nice to have her hug him. After the birthday dinner, Niami found him on the back porch just stairing out into the night with a beer. She told him that he is exactly like the eldest brother and how he was acting. Subaru denied that he wasn't like Masa at all. She just laughed at him.
After he returned to Kobe, he still couldn't get what his soon to be sister-in-law said out of his mind. He saw Keiko the night before after practice as she arrived early before his siblings to get settled in and take a practice spin on the rink that she was skatting later that day. When he got the text that she was going to be in Kobe early while he was on a break from practice he naturally asked if she wanted to grab dinner with him.
It seemed strange that it felt so naturally to ask her to dinner. Before now he found it hard to speak to women outside the one's that came into the family via dating his brothers. But now he was talking to Keiko, Olympic Ice Skater hopeful, best friend to both Yusuke and Ema. It was crazy and he was planning to blame Hikaru if this blew up in his face. Hikaru was behind every attempt that happened over the Holiday in the Alps that he walked in on Keiko the first morning.

I enjoyed dinner last night. Are you out for your run? I'm grabbing coffee if you want to join.

Subaru chuckled as he looked at his watch to see her message. He slowed down to a standing jog as he read the message. Knowing that he couldn't turn down the invitation for coffee he sent a reply.
Sure, want to meet me at the coffee shop by your hotel?
-Subaru-
Yes I can, 15min?
-Keiko-

Knowing that it would take him about 20 minutes to get to the coffee shop on foot, he waved down a cab and told him the address to the coffee shop. With the morning traffic in Kobe the ride took about 10 minutes to get there. He stepped out and stood out by the door waiting for Keiko. He looked around and when he say Keiko walking towards him he knew that Niami was right.

When Keiko woke up she had a smile on her face, she enjoyed dinner with Subaru the night before. They went to a local restaurant and enjoyed the night. She never expected that she would enjoy the night out with her best friends brother. Especlly the way they met, He walked in on her when she was just in her bra and under wear. She was so embarrassed that she screamed and then they fought like cats and dogs that morning. She wasn't ready to admit at the time that she over reacted. But after that trip she did text him explaining that she was sorry and that she over reacted.
Looking at the time and at her messages, Keiko knew that she had a few hours before she needed to be at the rink to start to get ready. Taking a chance, she decided to text him about coffee.

Keiko waited on baited breath for a response. Maybe she was being a bit to forward or hopefull. She may have a bit of a crush on the superstar, Ema knew because she caught Keiko smiling at her phone one night while they where studying. Yusuke was out with friends and the girls decided to stay in and study while drinking wine.
Sure, want to meet me at the coffee shop next to your hotel?

Yes I can! 15 min?

Keiko squeiled in delight, she wasn't sure if asking him to coffee was a good idea or not. But she was glad that he answered. Jumping up out of bed, she grabbed the pair of black jeans she wore last night and a teal top she had packed. She quickly braided her hair at the nape of her neck before looking in the mirror.
She looked a bit tired and that was normal before a compition honestly. She wasn't as stressed as she was almost a year ago with her family breathing down her neck. A year ago she walked away from her family and was glad that she had found Ema and Yusuke when she did.
Her grandmother gave her the keys to the townhouse in London to use while she was at school as well as enough money to live on. Her grandmother was not happy with how her grandfather and father where acting towards her. Or the talks about meetings with potential suitors. Keiko wanted the right to chose who she married not those who where picked for her. Which is why she walked away from the family and the company.
Once she was ready she began to walk over to the coffee shop. She was looking at the people passing by until she looked at the entrance of the coffee shop. Seeing Subaru standing there waiting she just smiled to herself. It is honestly crazy that she had this massive crush on this guy.
"How was your night superstar?" She smiled.
"You know, I had dinner with a nice girl and said girl asked me to coffee this morning." He opened the door for her.
"Oh should I be worried?" She teased.
"I don't think so." He teased back.
This was new for them teasing each other, that had started last night while at dinner. She couldn't wait to talk to Ema about this. Nether her or Subaru noticed the paparazzi around the coffee shop. Nor the jucie news that would fallow them as the story and photographs break about Kobe's Star Basketball player and the Nations top Olympic hopeful meeting up for coffee may bring.
