Ch 3 Almost Back to Normal
(Insert Fate/Grand Order Cosmos in the Lostbelt OST Oath Of Humanity)
Date, Twenty Nineteen. Anomaly Two Point One: status surmounted, file name The Everlasting War: Miraculous. Located in Dimension Three-Twenty-Three, the main part of the Anomaly is in the City of Paris, France.
Upon Rayshift to the surface of the Seine River, the Storm Border had a malfunction that caused my physical appearance to de-age to sixteen.
My mental capacity was unaffected, resuming the mission to resolve the Second Anomaly with the Counter Guardian we've encountered in the last Anomaly as our guide.
Through our investigations, we've discovered that this World was already depleted of Mana for centuries. However, that does not mean Magecraft has gone extinct, through a special kind of Mystic Code a branch of the Mage's Association called the Order of the Guardians thrived in this Mageless World. They were tasked to keep the remaining Mystery safe, only distributing worthy individuals to keep the World from dying.
Negotiations with the Mage went off without a hitch. He has offered a Mystic Code to assist with our mission and provide us with lodging in a nearby building.
Once we settled, I had our scout Voyager send word back to Chaldea to physically send reinforcements due to a Bounded Field around the City set by the enemy. Connection with Chaldea was near impossible thus I deemed it necessary to go out alone for the time being.
But that said, I had my Casters trying to re-establish the connection with the Storm Border.
While on the surface me and two of my Servants took the role of students at a nearby High School. The others have taken the role of staff for our makeshift family.
We've met the locals and quickly forged a friendship with them. Two in particular students have piqued my interest later to be Superheroes that wield said Mystic Codes. Later down the line, we encounter Supervillains that a man used to try and get their two Mystic Codes.
One of the two gave me one of their Mystic Codes to help. Upon further investigation and confirmations from the Magus, it's discovered that the Mages of this World used the Holy Grail to create these Mystic Codes. Three of these Miraculous have remnants of
We fought many opponents together and soon the enemy made their move. They sent Servants of the Eternal Empire to stand in our way.
Another investigation led to the enemy establishing themselves as the Eternal Empire, using Servants from Alaya to stop us. Eventually, we encountered the presumed master of the Anomaly. A resident said to be from the future, Lila Rossi AKA: Farfella.
Rider of the Eternal Empire, True Name Ilya Muroments
Assassin of the Eternal Empire, True Name Catherine Monovision
Caster of Versailles, Niccolò Machiavelli
Archer of the Eternal Empire, True Name Hua Mulan
Saber of Gascony, True Name D'Artagnan
And the Avenger of the Eternal Empire, True Name Marie Antoinette Alter
Further during our battles, the Servants we've faced seem to be hesitating to fight but unable to. However, they provided us some leverage over the enemy upon their death. One of their Servants allowed us to call for allies.
Saber, Jacque de Molay
Caster, Miss Crane
And Lancer, Erice
Eventually, we met a Terminal for the Holy Grail that used a woman's body from a branch of the Einzbern of this World. Emilie Agreste assisted us in many ways giving us information and providing Mana.
With the final battle arriving our forces were spread out too thin to enter the Marie Alter's base, the Black Crystal Palace. The master, Lila Rossi offered her past self a place in their army thus labeling her as an enemy to Humanity.
Near the final destination, we were able to Summon Servants from the connection from the Miraculouses.
Chaldea's UN Representative and Assassin, True Name Koyanskaya Tamamo Vitch.
Rider, Taigong Wang AKA Taikoubou
Rider, Dobrynya Nikitich
With their assistance, we manage to enter the enemy's base. As we entered the Palace's halls we encountered Machiavelli, confirming with Chaldea's records that the Spirit Origins to the be Servant that attacks the Wander Sea.
Through the battle, we summoned the Servants sent by the Counter Force to face off Machiavelli. However, Emilie Agreste sacrifices her powers as the Grail Terminal to Summon them back for a short time.
The Heroes of Paris and I went and face Marie Alter and defeat her with the help by a Counter Guardian calling herself Ruler of Paris. However after the defeat of the Alter, Emilie Agreste's Nephew Felix Graham de Vanily is revealed to be the True master of the Anomaly.
Felix Graham de Vanily killed Lila Rossi, leaving her young self as leverage to escape. His escape was aided by another Anomaly Servant. A Foreigner going by Foreigner of London.
They escaped with some assistance of another Anomaly Servant's Noble Phantasm. Class Unknown, True Name Unknown.
The Noble Phantasm has Magical Energy close to the level of a Divine Spirit.
The Counter Guardian, Avenger, True Name Adrien Agreste
Has sacrificed himself to prevent the Noble Phantasm from hitting Paris.
In conclusion, the Servants of the Eternal Empire remain a threat. Chaldea will stay longer to protect our current base of operations.
Our alliance with the Parisian Heroes shall continue until we locate the true Anomaly which I fear has turned into something else.
File Anomaly Two Point One, Miraculous…Incomplete.
(End Song)
Ritsuka leans back in his chair, looking at his Preservers of Humanity. "So, yet another report was done during my absence from the Border." He smiles at the two holograms sitting before him.
-ZZZ- Mmm, I feel you left some parts, Ritsuka dear. -ZZZ- Peperoncino pointed out the minor details on the report to the Mage's Association and United Nations. -ZZZ- It feels incomplete for me, -ZZZ-
Kadoc agreed, finding the holes within it too. -ZZZ- You know Lorelei will have a day if you send this now, Ritsuka. -ZZZ- The director of the Russian Branch stated,
"Well, I can't exactly put that Zeus is informing me about the Anomaly or the fact that two kids manage to become masters without proper training or equipment." Ritsuka waved his hand to the grey-haired Magus to his right. "Tell me, Kadoc. Which one's going to give director Barthomeloi a migraine? The report I manage to scrounge up or the fact that two kids became masters?" He raised his eyebrow at the former Crypter.
Kadoc sighs, and seemingly can't argue with the choices. -ZZZ- I see your point, the fact those kids became not only Superheroes but a year younger than you in becoming masters will give her a run for her money. -ZZZ-
-ZZZ- Speaking on other terms, why are you speaking to only us instead of the rest of the Preserves, Ritsuka? -ZZZ- Peperoncino asked his friend, curious about his reason for this.
Ritsuka looks at the two, his face expressing the seriousness about this Anomaly. "There's also one thing I haven't added to this report." He explains to the two people who know a thing or two about their upcoming mission.
-ZZZ-Oh? Why's that director? -ZZZ- Kadoc leans back in his chair, ready to listen to what he has to say.
Peperoncino smiles, happy to help out his friend in any way possible. -ZZZ- I have a feeling, does it have to do with our past, Ritsuka? -ZZZ- The former Crypter asked the director of Chaldea.
"Yes, the enemy informed me that in the future it has already escalated to a Lostbelt," Ritsuka informed the two former Crypters of their past.
Both former Crypters looked at each other before looking back at the director. -ZZZ- Have you informed dear Hinako? -ZZZ- Peperoncino asked, knowing she too needs to know about this issue.
Ritsuka nodded, "She was the first one I told, Hinako and Sion are educating the new recruits of the Lostbelts and what to expect from them." The Magus informed the two of their actions.
-ZZZ- Well, that's one way of preparations. -ZZZ- Kadoc commented on Ritsuka's attempts to prepare for the second part of the Anomaly. -ZZZ- Speaking of preparations, do you plan to have those children join the mission? -ZZZ- He asked the Magus.
Ritsuka places his hands on his mouth, pondering what Kadoc has said. -ZZZ- This is their home dimension and their Superheroes. -ZZZ- Kadoc added to his previous statement.
Paris France,
Marinette fixed her hair in front of the mirror, she put it in a neat ponytail. She decided to move away from the traditional pigtails she always had. "I see you changed your hairstyle," Tikki floated next to her.
"Well, after the battle for Paris I realize that there are villains out there that would do anything for their goals," Marinette explains to her secret friend. "I find that when facing serious threats you need to be serious." She stated to the Kwami of Creation.
Tikki looks at her owner, noting that it's something else that caused her to change in her appearance. "Are you sure that's the reason, Marinette?" She asked the bluenette about it. "It wasn't Avenger-er Chat Noir's sacf-"
Marinette looks at Tikki, she saw her eyes filled with uncertainty and pain. "I-It's so…unreal. Avenger being future Adrien and dying like that." She sighs, pushing back her hair. "I'm not worried about me but for Adrien." She informed her friend.
"O-Oh, so you're worried about Adrien," Tikki said, thinking that his sacrifice was eating her away. But in truth, she was more worried about Adrien, understandable for someone who witnesses their own death can be…a life changer.
"Yeah, after Ad-Avenger's sacrifice, Adrien…changed," Marinette explains to her little friend. "He's not himself lately and I want to help him in whatever he was feeling."
"Well, that sounds nice, Beautiful." Both Tikki and Marinette looks up and saw Dazai standing on her bed area.
"Dazai!"
Dazai saluted at the two, giving them his usual smirk. "Sup," He jumps down from the area and onto Marinette's bedroom floor. "It's been a while you two, how's my favorite hostess been doing since the day of judgment?" The Caster asked the two.
Tikki smiles, floating over to the Servant. "We're doing great, Dazai! How about you? It's been almost two weeks since that day against Marie Alter." The Kwami asked the Author standing in her owner's room.
The brown-haired man smirks, "Well reconstruction here and there, it's unfortunate that your Lucky Charm didn't come back to repair the damages that were made during the battle." Dazai sighs, shrugging his arms at the unlucky situation. "But we can't choose how the situation will turn out can we?"
Marinette chuckles, smiling at the first Servant she met. "I guess not, but I do wish I did so." She looks at the window where helicopters were taking away the large pieces of the Spires they destroyed.
The French Servants stayed along with some Chaldean Soldiers helping the damage control. "Ritsuka was really generous in providing aid to the repairs to the City," Marinette stated, smiling at the kind nature he has, going out to help people where there's nothing for him in return.
"That's master for ya, always thinking of others," Dazai commented, placing his hands on his chin. "Actually, that's what the others said about them." The Author stated, remembering some things about him.
"I see, so he's been doing this for a while now." Marinette ponders out loud on Ritsuka. "Well I shouldn't be surprised; he did look like he has some experience in doing this." She commented on the action she had seen.
Tikki agreed with what Marinette said. "Yeah, I bet he met a tone of Heroes of the past too." She looks over to Dazai, smiling at him. "It's a shame that the Heroes that you, Adrien, and Ritsuka Summoned didn't stick around to help." She sighs,
Dazai places his hand to the side, looking at the small red, floating creature. "Servants are only Summoned to do a specific task and once that task is done, we return to the Throne of Heroes." The brown-haired Caster explains to the young bluenette.
Marinette blinks, realizing that most of the Servants other than the Chaldean and Ruler of Paris are still around. "Does that mean you still have unfinished business here in Paris?"
"That's right, and master is the ticket for me to complete my task," Dazai stated, placing his hands in his pocket. He tilts his head, eyeing the two, "I'm sure he's going to need both of your help to save Paris once again." He said to the two ladies in the room.
"Really?" Marinette asked, curious on why he would need them. "I wonder why Ritsuka wants our help?" She asked her friend she met this weird year.
Tikki floated over to her owner, "Maybe he sees something in the both of you that might be helpful in saving the World." The Kwami of Creation stated, assuming that was the case.
The bluenette looks over to Dazai, curious about his opinion. "I do not know myself, Mages tend to see things that other people cannot. That I can confirm." The brown-haired Servant explains to his former host, he places his hand on his chin remembering that day when the plan was foiled. "But I can confirm that Avenger, the Counter Guardian that brought Chaldea had your boyfriend promised to continue where he left off."
"H-He-Adrien isn't my boyfriend!" Marinette blushes her cheek red as an apple at the thought of dating Adrien.
Dazai chuckles at the young love blossoming before him. "Either way, that boy is facing pressure because of that." He walks over to her, placing his hand on her shoulder. "You, Marinette are the only one who can understand that."
Marinette nodded, now thinking about what Adrien is going through right now. She shook her head, looking at her friends in her room. "That's why I'm going to see Adrien. To see if…if he's doing alright."
"That sounds good, Marinette. You are a true friend to everyone." Tikki stated, smiling at her kindness.
The bluenette smiles at her little friend, appreciating her comment. She walks over to grab her purse, and place it around her. "Thanks, Tikki. Now come on, we don't want to be late now." Marinette ushers her Kwami to come in her purse.
"Are you heading back to Chaldea, Dazai?" Marinette turns to the Author.
Dazai nodded, "Yep, I still need to give the low down to Ruler on what happened." He explains to the young Heroine. "Welp, you better get a move on. You don't want to make your boyfriend wait."
Marinette blushes once more, denying what the Caster claims. "H-He's not my boyfriend!" She turns to the door hatch and rushed over, leaving a laughing Dazai in her room.
Marinette arrived at the bakery, kissing both her mother and father. "Bye mom, bye dad, I'm going to Adrien." She informed her parents.
"Alright dear but do be careful out there." Sabine looks at her daughter about to leave their home.
"Your mother's right, the rebuilding efforts are considered dangerous for the public to be in," Tom explains to his daughter, stating that the city is dangerous at this time.
Marinette nodded, smiling at both of them. "I know, I'll be careful." She opens the bakery's door and waved at them.
The parents of Marinette watch as their daughter left their line of sight, heading to the right. "She's definitely going to that boy's house," Sabine smiles,
"Oh, that's obvious dear." The large man agreed with his wife. They both laugh before seeing customers entering their little bakery.
Marinette cheerfully walks down the sidewalk, passing many Parisians moving along with their day. She looks around, noticing white-suited men and women with guns and masks over their faces. One notable marking out of everyone was the Chaldea Security Organization logo plastered on their shoulder and left chest.
"To think they were under the river the whole time," Marinette commented, seeing the Chaldean Soldiers standing guard on an unstable area while construction workers from the city were repairing the area.
Marinette stood there, watching them on guard. "Excuse miss," She jumps turning to meet one of the Chaldean Soldiers. "I hate to say this, but you are in a dangerous area. Only personal and city workers can be present in this area." The Soldier explains to the bluenette.
"Oh, sorry about that sir." Marinette apologizes to the Soldier behind her.
The Chaldean Soldier waved his hand, "No worries, just be careful young miss." He moves to the others, speaking with them.
Marinette continues her way to the Agreste Mansion, walking down the street she saw Jeanne D'Arc and Marie walking down the road. "Oh, Jeanne, Marie!" Marinette walks over to the two famous Historical figures in her country.
The Ruler turns to the voice calling her name. She smiles upon seeing a familiar blue-haired maiden coming over. "Marinette, how are you?" Jeanne greeted the Heroine.
"I'm doing good, Jeanne." Marinette pushed aside her hair, smiling at the Saint and Queen. "How about you two?" She asked.
"We're doing quite well, Marinette." Jeanne smiles at her friend. "Thank you for asking,"
Marie steps forward, looking at the bluenette thoroughly. " I have to say, you look lovely today mon chéri." The former Queen of France commented on the colorful outfit she was wearing. "Do you have a date or some kind of event?" she asked.
Marinette blushed, "W-Well, I was going to Adrien's home. He seems t be out of it for the last few days since the enemy's plan failed." She explains to the two Chaldean Servants.
"I see, well that's kind of you to check on him." Jeanne commented, "He did seem off after the battle, I believe Emilie is trying to get him to open up but…" She sighs, smiling at the mother trying to help her child.
Marie nodded, "But he still…how should I put this…"
Marinette nodded, understanding what these two mean. "I get it, that's why I'm going to see him, Jeanne, Marie." She stated,
"We won't keep you. It's great to see you again, Marinette." Marie waves, walking to where the Chaldean Soldiers were gathered.
"Yes, good luck Marinette. We'll see you around," Jeanne smiles walking with Marie and leaving Marinette to continue her way,
Marinette nodded, "See you two later," She looks down at her purse, seeing it opening.
Tikki pops her head out, smiling at her owner. "It's great to see both Jeanne and Marie Antoinette again, Marinette." She said to the bluenette.
"Yeah, they were kind enough to stay until the rebuilding and clean-up are done." Marinette smiles at her friend, she looks around still seeing bits and pieces of Attack Programs and others scattered everywhere. "I feel bad, only if my Lucky Charm can be reclaimed and I can fix this mess quickly." The bluenette sighs,
The Kwami of Creation sighs, "Marinette, some things can't go how you like it." Tikki said to the young Hero. "The only thing to do is to accept how the outcome turned out. And if it's not how you picture it, then you can try and fix it."
Marinette smiles at her friend, "As always, you know what to say Tikki."
"That's what I am here for," Tikki smiles as they head to the Agreste Mansion nearby.
Adrien lay on his couch, staring at his ceiling. His mind was going in and out, still having the death of his future self etched in his head.
'I entrust my role to you, Chat Noir'
The memory of Avenger clutching his hand and dying in his arms. "Hey Adrien, are you okay?" Adrien blinks out of his mental trance. He turns to Plagg eating his camembert on his table. "For the past days, you've been quiet lately. You also ignore calls from your best friend Nino."
Adrien sighs, knowing what Plagg means. "Sorry Plagg, I'm just…off after his death. Things aren't simple as it was before." The Model said to his friend.
"True, ever since Ritsuka appeared in Paris many new enemies appeared and things are difficult." Plagg chewed on his cheese, commenting on the past few days. "First was Servants attacking people, then Marinette's capture, Marie Antoniette Alter raging war, and you cousin."
The blonde sat up, hearing the mention of his cousin. "Felix…" Adrien couldn't believe that Felix was involved with this Eternal Empire business. "I couldn't picture Felix joining the enemy that easily." He confesses to his Kwami.
"Well considering he just appeared out of nowhere and how he brutely kill future Lila." Plagg tossed his camembert in the air, flying towards it and eating it. "It's good to say that he was not the Felix you know before." He said while chewing, he heard the door open and flies to a safe hiding spot.
Adrien places his hands on his face, remembering the evil and sadistic expression he made. "You're right, something must have happened for him to be like this."
"And the only way to find out is with Chaldea's help." Adrien turns around to his mother, standing in the doorway.
Adrien stood from his couch, seeing her mother coming into his room. "Forgive me for coming in abruptly, Adrien." Emilie smiles,
The Model shook his head, "No, it's fine Mom. What are you doing in my room?" Adrien asked the blonde woman.
Emilie walks over to her son, "You're father and I are worried son, you've been avoiding people, and…you seem off lately." The blonde woman said, expressing her worries for her son.
"S-Sorry, Mom…it's just…"
"Seeing your adult self dying in your arms." Emilie blurt it out, seeing the young Hero nod in response. "I see, well you don't need to worry about that. Avenger's death isn't your future, he's a Counter Guardian, a Servant; he was Summoned in his prime like all Servants." She explains, still retaining the Grail's information from the time she was the terminal.
Adrien looks at his mother, confused by what she said. "Mom? Are you still the Grail Terminal?" He asked his mother.
Emilie blinks before giggling realizing what she said. "No, Adrien. I just still retain the information given to me, anyway enough about me." The former Terminal walks over to the couch and sat on it. "What is it about Avenger that causes you to be like this?" She asked her son.
Adrien sighs, knowing that she is probably the best to talk to about it. "Alright, you're right Mom." The blonde looks at his mother, "It's not Avenger's death that got me in a mood, it's…it's his promise I made with him." He looks down, feeling insecure about the promise he made with his future self.
"I-I'm not sure if I can live up to it." Adrien sighs, looking at his mother. "Also, I have a feeling that I'm going to fight Felix and I don't want that." He confesses to the former Grail Terminal.
Emilie smiles, gently placing her hand on his with the Command Seals. "You know why you receive this, Adrien?" She lifts his hand, showing the Sigils on it.
Adrien shook his head, "No, I don't."
"Well, this is a sign that Fate chose you to save our World. You and Marinette are special," Emilie stated to her son. "No matter who or what stands in your way, both of you can overcome whatever is thrown at you. I believe that's why Avenger- yourself has chosen you to continue where he left off." She smiles.
Adrien smiles, hugging his mother after years apart. "Thanks, Mom," He said.
Emilie returned the hug before noticing Nathalie standing at the door. "Nathalie? What is it?" She asked.
Nathalie smiles, "One of Adrien's friends is here to see him, Ms. Dupain Cheng. Gabriel is down in the lobby speaking with her." The Assistant informed the two.
"I think she's worried about me." Adrien sighs,
Emilie stood up, smiling down at her son. "Well, I'll leave you to get ready." She said, walking to Nathalie. "Oh, and don't keep her waiting. It's not gentlemanly like to make a lady waiting," Adrien smiles, seeing his mother going to Nathalie who spoke to her about many things.
Adrien got dressed, he wore a green jacket, jeans, and black shoes. "Aren't you going overboard?" Plagg floated over to his owner. "It's just a hangout, not a date."
"Well, I want to look good to a…friend. Isn't that wrong?" Adrien thought for a moment since they revealed themselves to each other by accident, their relationship thus far is complicated.
"You sure about that Kid? You sounded a bit hesitant when you said that." The Kwami of Destruction commented, nudging his owner on the shoulder.
Adrien sighs, pulling his jacket out. "Plagg. In the pocket. Now." His face told that he was not joking.
Plagg sighs, shrugging and going into his pocket. "Whatever you say, kid." He smirks.
Adrien shook his head, heading out of his room. He heard his parents talking to a bluenette in a pink sundress and a white jacket. He pauses seeing Marinette in a cute outfit, his cheeks blush a red hue like a tomato.
"I have to say Ms. Dupain-Cheng, your outfit is quite unique." Gabriel smiles, seeing the style she's wearing.
Marinette smiles, feeling honored by her inspiration's complements to her. "T-Thank you, Mr. Agreste. It's nothing much, just something I put together last minute." She informed him.
Gabriel shook his head, disagreeing with the bluenette. "No, I have a knack for seeing how much work my designers in my company put into their designs. And you, Ms. Dupain Cheng, have put a lot into your outfit for today." He commented further.
"Oh Gabriel, you're making Marinette all flustered." Emilie giggles, noting the light blush on the bluenette's cheek.
"My apologies, Ms. Dupain Cheng. I didn't mean to get you all flustered." Gabriel smiles,
Marinette chuckles, "No worries, Mr. Agreste-"
"Please call me Gabriel." The Fashion Designer stated, feeling like it was appropriate for her to do so.
"Alright, Gabriel." Marinette spots Adrien standing on the stairs, waving at her. "Oh, Adrien! You look great!" She exclaims, seeing her partner standing behind them.
Adrien walks down, scratching the back of his head. "Y-You too, Marinette. I mean you look great too." He said causing Emilie to giggle.
"Ah, young love. Isn't sweet, Gabriel?" Emilie spoke softly to her Husband.
"Indeed, Emilie." Gabriel cleared his throat, turning to their son. "Adrien, I expect you to treat Ms. Dupain-Cheng properly in the Agreste name."
Adrien shook his head, turning to his father. "Yes, Father." He smiles at both his parents.
Emilie smiles, "You better get going, the day won't wait for you two by just standing here."
Adrien nodded, "Yes Mom," He turns to the bluenette smiling at her. "Shall we go?" He asked.
Marinette nodded, "Yes, Adrien,"
The Agreste parents watch their son, opening the door to the young maiden, leaving their home. "He's grown up," Emilie said,
"Yes, he has, Emilie." Gabriel smiles, he looks at his wife. Her face frowns as she turns her head at him.
"Gabriel, we need to talk," Emilie stated, pointing to his ascot. "Regarding that under your ascot."
Gabriel nodded, "Yes, I believe we do." He sighs, closing the door behind them.
