Ch 33 Future Friends

Ladybug walks down the hall after the meeting with the Resistance Leaders. In summary, they are planning to raid the Prison to free the captured members of the Resistance along with the Chaldean Servants they have.

A group is already stationed near one of Prometheus's Bases, waiting for the confirmation to strike.

However, being a Prison holding Chaldean Servants and Resistance members, the Empire would already be prepared for their raid. It is one of the important structures currently standing in the Lostbelt other than the Eternal Empire.

They have at least an hour to rest up before heading to meet up with the small group to attack the Prison. She feeds Tikki some cookies before heading out to explore.

Ladybug was curious about the Base, heading off on her own to check it out before they left. "This place is huge compared to the other bases we visited." She said to herself, entering a hallway.

She opens one of the doors, curious about where this one leads. The opens reveal someone from the other end.

A young boy around ten or nine with midnight blue hair and emerald, green eyes in a black shirt and a jacket with jeans. He looks up at Ladybug, his expression fell upon gazing upon the bluenette Hero. "Um…hello there, I didn't expect to meet a Child here in the main Resistance Base." Ladybug greeted the young Boy.

"Y-You're Ladybug…" The Boy spoke to the young Hero of Creation. He was completely awestruck by Ladybug standing before him.

Ladybug was used to being stared at with awe by many Children back in the Present. But when she took a closer look at the midnight blue-haired, he share features similar to Adrien's.

Then it clicked in her mind, the midnight blue hair and eyes similar to Adrien's. Ladybug then shook her head, not wanting to say anything wrong. "U-Um, young Boy why are you in a room by yourself? Shouldn't your-"

"MOM!" The midnight blue-haired Boy leaps into the arms of the Hero of Creation.

Ladybug was taken aback by the sudden affection from the Boy. "Mom! You're back! You're actually back!" The Boy cried in joy, hugging the Hero of Creation. "I can't believe you're actually back when Louis said that you died, we all believe him!"

The Boy looks up at the Hero who called his Mother, "Y-You came back! I always knew you would come back!" He cried with tears of joy in his eyes.

The Hero of Creation wasn't sure how to approach the young Boy. The fact that this Boy called her Mom is evidence enough that this was one of her other Children. "Um…y-you called me Mom. Are you…"

The Boy steps back, wiping away the tears from his face. He sniffs before speaking to the bluenette Hero. "Y-You don't remember me, Mom? I-It's me, Hugo, your Son!" The midnight blue-haired Boy stated, introducing himself as Hugo.

"Hugo? As in Hugo Agreste?" Ladybug asked once more, wanting to be sure.

"Yes, that's me." Hugo just blinks at his Mother from the Past, "Y-You don't remember me? How come you don't…" The young Boy watches as Ladybug places her hands on his shoulders, kneeling to his level.

Ladybug smiles at the young Boy before him. "Hugo, I'm not your Mother you know exactly." She explains to Hugo, "I'm still your Mother, but I'm from the Past or the Present in my case. Do you understand, Hugo?" She asked her Future Son.

Hugo nodded, looking at Ladybug with wide green eyes. "So you really are from the Past like Prometheus said." He looks down, holding his shirt.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, Hugo." Ladybug apologizes to the young Boy,

"No, I…I just had my hopes high…" Hugo admits to the Hero from the Past. "Things aren't what they used to be. First Louis went out and saw you and Dad being killed by Alter Ego of White along with everyone else, then the Empire killed off many Heroes sent to stop them,"

Hugo looks down at the ground on the verge of tears once more. "Then we move into the underground so we can be safe from the Emperor's grasp, and…and worst of all Auntie Alya and Uncle Nino are in the…Nurses office because they got hurt really bad." The midnight blue-haired Boy cried.

Ladybug looked at Hugo, crying again at the thought of his Aunt and Uncle in the Medical Bey in critical condition. She has experienced babysitting many Children crying, the only thing to do in this situation is to comfort them.

"There, there, it'll be all right, Hugo." Ladybug comforts her Future Son. She steps back, seeing if he has calmed down a bit. "Feeling better?"

Hugo nodded, wiping away the tears from his eyes. "Y-Yeah, I'm feeling okay." The young Boy answered his Mother from the Present. "It's been hard since the Eternal Empire appeared."

"I completely understand, Hugo." Ladybug pities her Second Son, being exposed to this madness and losing People left and right he cares about. "You shouldn't be experiencing these things. Children around your age should be playing around and studying; not being in a Resistance." The bluenette Hero stated.

Ladybug blinks at her Future Son, curious about one thing. "Hugo, what did you say about your Uncle and Aunt?" She asked the young Boy before her.

Hugo nodded, happy to answer his Mother's question. "R-Right, you didn't know." He commented, realizing she doesn't know what happened. "I-I think it's best to show you."

The young midnight blue-haired Boy motions his head inside the Medical bey.

Ladybug followed Hugo inside the Medical Bey, nervous about what she would see inside. Upon arriving at the Medical bey, Ladybug's eyes widen at the sights before them.

Laying on two Hospital beds were two familiar faces, one with brunette hair and the other with short dark hair. Both were in a coma, unable to move or to even speak to them.

Floating beside them were two familiar Nature Spirits, Kwamis whom Ladybug knows very well. "Tikki, Spots Off," Ladybug said, detransforming in the Medical bey.

Ladybug reverts to her Civilian form as she approaches her two friends. "Alya, Nino…" Marinette said in disbelief that two of her friends, wielders of the Fox Necklace and Turtle Bracelet were in a comatose state.

"What happened to them?" Tikki asked, approaching the glass, saddened by the state of their allies.

"The Eternal Empire," Hugo stated the cause of his Uncle and Aunt's comatose state. "It was before the Empire arrived; they were defeated by scouts sent before the Empire arrived." He explains to the Hero of Creation.

"Tikki? Marinette?" The two look to the side, seeing yet two familiar faces or Kwamis.

"Trixx, Wayzz!" Tikki floated over to the Kwami of Illusion and Protection. "It's so good to see two familiar faces!" The Kwami of Creation exclaims with joy.

The Fox Nature Spirit smiles, dancing around Tikki happy to see her after a long time. "That goes for us, to think we would see you again after the others…" Trixx looks away, unsure how to tell the two what happened to the other Kwamis.

Marinette caught what the Kwami of Illusion was saying. "Trixx, what happened to the others? She asked, now noticing that the only Miraculous Holders were Viperion, Bunnyx, both her and Chat Noir, and finally the other Miraculous Holder currently waiting near the Prison. "Where are the other Miraculous Holders?" She asked.

"Marinette…the thing is…" Wayzz floated up to the young Heroine, unsure how to tell her.

Suddenly, Hugo steps in, "They were all absorbed by Alter Ego of White! That's what Auntie Kagami and Uncle Luka said," The midnight blue-haired Boy informed his Mother from the Present.

"W-WHAT!?" Both Marinette and Tikki were shocked to hear the rest of the Miraculous Holders were absorbed into the misty white Servant.

"B-But that means…" Tikki was terrified, hearing what the Alter Ego Servant did to the members of the Miracle League.

"Alter Ego has the powers of almost all of the Miraculous in the Miracle Box." Marinette gasps at the power scaling that the Enemy Servant has. She stumbles back, remembering from Master Fu that the Miracle Box he has was powerful out of all the Miracle Boxes in the Order.

Hugo saw his Mother staggering back; he quickly went to her side. "Mom!" He looks up at the Hero of Creation with concern on his face.

Marinette smiles at her Future Son, petting him on his fluffy hair. "Don't worry, Hugo. I was just shaken a bit to hear Alter Ego has the powers of almost every Miraculous Holder." She explains,

"Are you sure? You don't need anything to help you, Mom?" Hugo asked, truly concerned for her well-being.

"I don't need anything, Hugo. Thank you for asking," Marinette steady herself before speaking. "We need to tell everyone that Alter Ego has half the powers of the Miracle Box." She states to which Hugo responded,

"I think everyone knows that Alter Ego absorbs the Miracle League. But if you're talking about the people you came with, then it's okay for them to know." Hugo smiles, agreeing with his Mother on the notion. "But you still have a few hours before you head out to Auntie Kagami. We can tell them when you're about to leave."

Marinette took a moment to ponder on what her Son was offering. She then looks at her two friends and then at their respected Kwamis. "Trixx, Wayzz, how are you two feeling?" She asked, never asking them what their thoughts were on the matter.

Tikki nodded, looking at her fellow Kwamis. "It must be hard that your Owners are unable to help their World from the Eternal Empire." The Nature Spirit said, feeling sorry for them.

"It is, but I believe that when this Lostbelt gets dismantled then things will be different," Wayzz commented, knowing what the end result for them will be when the Empire's defeat.

Hugo nodded, agreeing with the Nature Spirits. "Yeah, this World isn't supposed to be like this." The young Boy added, turning to his Mother. "Mom, please restore this World by destroying it! I know it's hard but there will be a better one when you return to the Past." He smiles.

Marinette was still on the mark if destroying this Lostbelt was the right choice. Now that she thinks of it, she remembers one World that would be considered a Lostbelt. She shakes her head; there's no way that World would be a Lostbelt.

"Mom?" Marinette blinks, looking down at Hugo calling her.

"Yes, I promise that we'll set the World on its proper path in Human History," Marinette promised her Son, seeing that he too is determined to destroy their World.

Tikki saw the Fox Nature Spirit heading toward Alya and Nino, grabbing something from the table. "Trixx, what are you doing?" The Kwami of Creation asked,

Everyone watches as the Kwami of Illusion returns with two Miraculous in hand. "Trixx, what are you doing with the Fox Necklace and Turtle Bracelet?" Wayzz asked his friend.

Trixx turns to the Kwami of Protection, carefully holding the two Miraculous. "Handing these two Miraculous to Marinette," He explains to the green Nature Spirit.

"Wait, why are you handing those two Miraculous to me?" Ladybug asked Trixx, stepping back from him.

"Isn't obvious? You are the Guardian of the Miraculous, Mom. It's only natural that you should be given the Turtle Bracelet and Fox Necklace." Hugo stated, having an innocent look at his Mother. "And you can use them to defeat the Eternal Empire."

Marinette was surprised to hear that she was the Guardian of the Miracle Box. Well, she did figure that Master Fu would retire and might pass the torch to her, but not this moment. "Hugo, I can't just take your Aunt and Uncle's Miraculous. It'll be wrong to do it when they're in a coma,"

"Marinette, Alter Ego of White almost have the powers of all of the Miraculous," Trixx stated, knowing that Servant is a powerful asset in the Empire's military. "The only way is to use all the remaining Miraculouses at our disposal to defeat him." The Kwami of Illusion stated,

Hugo nodded, agreeing with Trixx on using the Miraculouses they have against the Alter Ego Servant. "Trixx is right, you told me that you used the Miraculouses in the Miracle Box against Kwami Buster." He paused, trying to remember if she used them all together. "Or was it just a few…" The Boy ponders.

"Trixx, Hugo, Marinette is still young. The power of two Miraculouses would affect her mentally and physically." Tikki stated, not wanting to take the risk of her Owner to exert herself.

Wayzz nodded, seeing that this was too high of a risk to even attempt. "Marinette is a Human, she's not capable of using two Miraculouses this time." The Kwami of Protection added.

Marinette shook her head, never she attempted to use two Miraculous nor multiple at once. "Hugo, I can't use two or more Miraculous at once. It's dangerous to even attempt it, no Human can do it." The bluenette stated, knowing the risk of it.

"But you did it, you told me you di-"

The door opened, revealing Luka in an aqua shirt, over a black sleeveless vest, torn jeans, and black boots. He wore earrings, and his hair was still dyed, "Hugo, Marinette's right. She isn't the Ladybug from that time your Mother told you. That was before she knew how to converge Miraculouses." The Musician explains to his Nephew.

"O-Oh,"

"Luka, what are you doing here?" Marinette asked her friend, seeing him in as an adult.

Luka walks into the Medical bey, answering her question. "It's almost time to depart, Ritsuka has a few Servants already heading to the other Base." The Hero of Intuition stated. "But we overheard your conversation."

A snake-like Kwami floated out of Luka's vest pocket, "Though the plan you made sounds good to combat Alter Ego of White, but he's a Servant, not a Human." Sass stated. "And the other Servants we encounter can't use the Miraculous unlike Holders do. They have their own powers to use to help us."

Trixx deflates, seeing his plan to defeat Alter Ego of White is dejected. "So we can't use the Miraculouses against Alter Ego…"

Hugo was saddened by this, however, Marinette steps in to comfort the two. "We never said that using the Miraculouses against Alter Ego of White was a bad plan." The bluenette stated, causing her Son and the Nature Spirit to perk up. "All we said was that the candidates of using them were slim."

"That's right," Luka added, being for with the plan Trixx came up with. "All we need is the right person to do the job. Someone who has experience with using multiple Miraculouses." The teal-haired Man states.

Wayzz floated next to Trixx, patting his back. "We'll avenge our fallen friends, Trixx. That we promise,"

"Right, I'm sorry I was just too excited to see Marinette back and might have a fighting chance." The Kwami of Illusion stated.

"Don't worry, we will defeat Alter Ego and the Eternal Empire," Marinette stated, petting her Son's head. "It takes time, for now, keep those two safe until we need them."

They all nodded, agreeing with what Marinette said.

Marinette and Luka walk down the hall with Hugo following behind them, "So, who is the right person to use the Miraculouses against Alter Ego of White?" Luka asked, pondering the possible candidates.

"It must be someone who has experience wielding them all at once," Marinette repeated what was discussed earlier. "Someone with a strong mental mind and the body to handle the power rushing through the body. But where can we find such a person in this World." The Hero of Creation groans, seeing not many Parisians with those checkboxes.

"Whoever it is, they have to be ready when facing Alter Ego," Sass stated,

"Yeah, from what we saw back in our time, Alter Ego's attack is huge. Luckily Avenger was able to stop it before it landed." Tikki commented, remembering the day when Marie Alter was defeated.

"Avenger? Who is that?" Hugo asked the group in turn, Tikki floated over to the young Boy and sat down on his head, telling him who Avenger was.

The small group arrived at the main area of Prometheus Base where Ritsuka, Adrien, Plagg, and the members of the Strike Team were gathered.

"Come on, Grandfather! I want to help them out in the raid at the Prison!" Marinette looks at the commotion before them.

Louis steps forward, determined to come along with the Chaldeans and Heroes. "Louis, it's dangerous to go out now. Since the Empire already knows we're aiming to attack the Prison, their strongest assets will be dispatched there." Gabriel stated, not wanting to risk his Grandson's safety with the Eternal Empire.

"But I'm a master just like Dad and Mom, even Ritsuka too! They have been in the City and survived the onslaught of the Enemy Programs that were hunting them down!" Louis stated, showing the stubbornness he inherited from the Agreste side of the Family.

Gabriel remains firm in his decision not to let Louis go with the Chaldeans. "I'm not changing my mind, Louis. You are not going," He stated.

Marinette watches the conversation with her Ex Boyfriend and Future Son. "Here we go again," The bluenette turns to Hugo, crossing his arms.

"What do you mean, Hugo?" Marinette asked, looking down at her Son.

"Louis wants to head out with everyone else to fight against the Empire," Hugo explains to his Mother what's happening before them. "But Grandfather doesn't want him to go out. Dad told us that he's very overprotective, especially when it comes to the Family."

Marinette understood what the midnight blue-haired Boy meant. Adrien mentions that Gabriel was very protective of him after Emilie fell into that coma. "I understand, but from what I heard from Ritsuka; a Servant is stronger when their master is nearby." She commented. "Louis Summoned Assassin, right? Then he should be by his side all the way."

"Like Hugo said, Gabriel isn't going to risk it." Luka reminded Marinette of what his Nephew said.

"Grandfather, please. I want to help Assassin and the others to save the World." The blonde Boy stated, still not backing down.

Gabriel groans, feeling like they're running in circles. "Um…if I may; Hugo does have a point." The retired Fashion Designer looks at Ritsuka, seeing he's in support of Louis coming with them.

"Why do you say that Mr. Fujimaru?" Gabriel asked the master of Chaldea.

Ritsuka stood next to Louis, supporting his request to join them. "Assassin was able to do well on his own while Louis, his master was here in the Base." He stated, "However, a Servant can do much more when their master is close by, aiding in support from his or her Magical Energy."

Chat nodded, standing next to his eldest Son, supporting both of them. "Ruler was able to hold back Foreigner of London with her Noble Phantasm." The Hero of Destruction stated, looking at his Summoned Servant standing behind them.

Johanna smiles softly at her Summoner, nodding in support of his claims. "Yes, my Noble Phantasm affects anything who opposes good." The Ruler stated, thinking of their fight prior to their meeting with the Resistance. "Now that I think of it, Foreigner of London doesn't like my Noble Phantasm."

"It must be his Outer God Foreigner is fused with," Ritsuka commented, seeing that doesn't limit the many Outer Gods with weakness to Holy Skills.

"Huh, so Foreigner's weakness is Religious virtues. Good to know," Gabriel scoffs, many Soldiers and Spies try to exploit the Emperor's right-hand man's weakness. To think of something simple like Religious Beliefs would be his weakness.

Gabriel shook his head, not wanting to go off track. "Even if you prove that you have someone who can handle that Man, it still doesn't change that Louis will not go." The old man stated, staying firm in his decision.

Louis frowns upon his Grandfather's statement but being one not to follow rules he will go either way.

Just when things were said a done, Assassin of the Resistance steps forward. "Gabriel, I may be able to do the impossible by leading the Resistance. However, I do have limits, such as facing Servants." The white-haired Servant stated.

"If you're worried about master's safety then worry not," Assassin looks at the Chaldeans surrounding them. "We have more Servants here to keep an eye on him than before."

"Umu, a Servant is more stronger when their Summoner is with them," Nero commented, happy to have the young master join their group.

"We'll keep an eye on the Child," Tlaloc ensures the safety of the Human Child determined to fight the Empire. "That we can do,"

Gabriel looks at Louis, reminded of his Adrien's stubbornness. Though with both Chat Noir and Marnette here to assist them, he can trust them as Louis's Parents. "Very well, only if you keep a close eye on him." He stated.

"YES!" Louis exclaims, being granted to join the fight.

"Remember, Mr. Agreste, this is a Battlefield we're heading to." Moriarty reminded the young Boy. "There's no foolishness during the mission,"

Louis cleared his throat, nodding to the Crime Lord's statement. "Y-Yes, I know,"

Marinette smiles, approaching the group. "Then shall we go? We have a World to save." She stated as she transforms into Ladybug.
