Ch 35 Prison Break Pt 2
Johanna huffs after attacking Berserker of the Resistance or Rani VIII, as she calls herself. "Ruler, a little help!?" The Pope turns to her fellow Ruler Servant.
Moriarty smiles holding his hand out at the Opponent. Beams of light hurl straight for the Divine Spirit before them,
"HA!" Rani VIII swung her arm, slashing away the beams from hitting her.
Once the Berserker got distracted, Machiavelli appeared behind her, raising her hand with her book in the other. Attack Spells were launched from her book, hitting the Opponent from the back.
The violet-haired Caster smirks, seeing her attack land. "That should slow you down for a-"
"Machiavelli, look out!" Ladybug cried out to her ally.
Berserker of the Resistance vanished in a flash and appeared behind the unexpecting Caster. "AAAGGGHHH!" She raised her Khara, ready to slash the former Enemy.
Ritsuka looks at his Servant, acting quickly before the Caster Servant was hurt. "Ruler, help Machiavelli out!" The Magus ordered.
Chat turns to his Servant, following Ritsuka's lead. "You too Ruler!" He exclaims.
Both Ruler Servants quickly acted to save their new ally. "You won't get a hit that easily, Rani!" Morarity motions his hands to the Divine Spirits,
"I'll lend my support," Johanna held out her hand, giving a Holy barrier to the Lanterns.
The Crime Lord's Lanterns swiftly rushed toward the Divine Spirit; they block the slash that Rani was about to make on Machiavelli. "NGH!"
The Khava has been knocked away from the Caster. This allowed Machiavelli to escape from under the Berserker. "Thank you, Rulers." The Caster thanked the Chaldeans.
Machiavelli raises her hand, initiating another attack. "Take this!" Three orbs arose from the book in her hands, hurling straight for the Berserker.
"That trick again!? Don't you ever learn that it works for the second time!?" The violet-haired Berserker laughs, swinging her weapons once more to knock away the Spell.
Ladybug flinched, seeing that the Berserker of the Resistance wasn't taking any hits. "I-Is this what a Deity power is like?" She asked the two males beside her. "How can we possibly beat her?"
Chat looked at Johanna, trying her best to bring Berserker to her knees. "Rani is very tough, no wonder everyone said that she's the definition of a Berserker." The Hero of Destruction stated, remembering how difficult it was when they fought Akutagawa.
Ritsuka held his hand to Moriarty, giving some Magical Energy to boost his fighting prowess. "Even so, we've dealt with Berserkers before, this is just a walk in the park." He smirks at the Heroes of Paris. "Ruler, I'll give you some more Mana!" He shouted.
"Same here, Ruler!" Chat called out to his Servant, aiding in powering Johanna.
Ladybug nodded, copying what her fellow masters were doing. "Machiavelli, I'll help you out!" She took a deep breath before giving her Energy to the Caster.
Johanna turns to her master, smiling at him. "You have my gratitude, master!" The Pope along with her fellow Servants went in for an all-out attack on Rani VIII.
"I might've been able to bring Berserker to her knees by this point," Tlaloc commented, observing the Battle.
Nero nodded, "Umu, but this is a test Berserker set up for our masters. We have to let them fight on their own." The Red Saber stated, explaining the situation to her fellow Chaldean Servant.
Louis watches as his Parents and the master of Chaldea support their Servants against Berserker. "Rani isn't going to pull any punches; she's going to injure one of them if she doesn't stop." The blonde Boy stated.
"No, she won't." Assassin of the Resistance stated, having confidence that their strongest ally would stop when needed. "I told Berserker to go out and only stop when they get her on her knees." The white-haired Servant informed his master.
Louis was aware that Berserker of the Resistance want to test anyone before becoming their ally, but for Assassin to tell her to go out is something out of the blue. He looks at his Uncle, curious if his Uncle has knowledge of this Battle before they arrive. "Uncle, do you know of this?"
The teal-haired Hero looks at his Nephew, hearing his question. He sighs, admitting to his Nephew that he knew that Berserker wanted to test the three masters herself. "Yes, I'm aware that Assassin told Berserker to give them a test," Viperion stated. "But don't worry, I believe that they can persevere." Viperion smiles.
Viperion and Bunnyx spent the most time with the Chaldeans. They saw them fight the Empire and manage to bring an Inquisitor to their side and grow their army in Servant prowess.
Louis looks back at the Battle before them, still fighting against Rani. "If you believe they can bring Rani to her knees." The blonde master commented, believing in his Parents and Ritsuka can overcome Berserker.
Moriarty went straight for an attack, sending beams of light at the Servant. As he predicted, Rani slashed away the beams, giving the moment for the others to strike. "Is that all you got? I thought you were stronger than this!"
"Oh we are, but since you're a Berserker, Rani; you were too focused on me." The former Apostle of the Alien World commented, giving her a smug expression.
Rani VIII gasps, realizing that the white-haired Pope and violet-haired Caster were going. "Where-"
"RULER!" Both Machiavelli and Chat Noir held their hands towards Johanna, standing above the Berserker.
The violet-haired Servant turns around, seeing Johanna with a large Halo behind her. "This Battle ends here!" She raised her Staff as both her master and Machiavelli gave their support.
The Halo shines brightly, sending a Holy beam at the Opponent.
The Berserker growls, lifting her two Khavas to deflect the Holy Beam. Rani held her ground against the Ruler's attack, leaving a perfect opening for both Ritsuka and Moriarty to make their move.
"Ruler, do it now!" Ritsuka held out his hand to his Servant, "Bring her to her knees!"
"As you request, my master!" Moriarty held his Staff by the end, where it was sharp enough to deal damage to the Divine Spirit. He rushed forward without hesitation,
The former Apostle slashed through Rani's back, causing her to drop to her knees.
"That's enough!" Everyone paused, hearing Assassin of the Resistance call everyone to cease their attacks.
The masters took a sigh of relief, happy that the test of strength was over. Ladybug let out a deep sigh, looking at both Chat and Ritsuka. "D-Did we do it?" She asked her fellow masters.
"Indeed you have, not only you were able to bring out hard hitter to her knees. You also prove that you and your allies can be trusted." A voice came from the bottom of the steps,
Standing on the top of the stairs was a blue-haired, amber-eyed female wearing a red jumpsuit that has a black Dragon tail pattern wrapping around her body to her chest. She wore a red mask resembling a dragon and two horns on each side of her head.
Three symbols were at the center of her chest, a cloud, a water droplet, and a thunderbolt swirling around. On her back was a crimson blade with the hilt sporting the same pattern as on her chest.
"Aunt Kagami!" Louis exclaims, happy to see his Aunt alive and safe.
"(Kagami?)" Chat saw his Ex-girlfriend standing at the entrance. He smiled that she was still alive, but he noticed that she had a scar on her right cheek.
Ladybug saw the wielder of the Dragon Choker, Kagami. She smiles that another Miraculous Holder is still alive and active. Then she realizes that Kagami is the last member of the Miracle League that's still alive out of the entire League.
"Berserker, what do you think of our guests?" Ryuko asked the Divine Spirit on her knees.
The violet-haired Servant stood up from the ground, turning to the Chaldean master and his allies. She smiles softly, "They are up to the Resistance's standards, Ryuko." Berserker of the Resistance said in a dignified tone.
"First she's all bloodthirsty and now a dignity…um Deity?" Chat commented, noticing the shift in Berserker's personality.
"Not all Berserker Class Servants are mad-driven, but the majority outnumbers the sane ones," Ritsuka explains to the blonde Hero. "Take Akutagawa for example, his madness came from his illness but his work as an Author tames the Madness Enhancement." He continued.
Viperion walks over to Ryuko, hugging her before planting a kiss on her cheek. "I miss you dear, how are you holding up?" The Hero of Intuition asks the Hero of Perfection.
"I'm doing well, a bit anxious from waiting for the moment to strike but other than that; it's good," Ryuko answers her Husband before seeing Louis standing with Assassin and the new Servants. "Louis, I hope you're doing well. Listening to your Grandfather, are you?" She asked, happy to see her Nephew.
Louis nodded to his Aunt's question, "Yeah…a bit."
Both Chat and Ladybug were surprised that their Exes were married in the Future. To be honest with themselves, That was something they haven't expected to happen in the Future.
"Hey, are you two alright?" The two Heroes look at Ritsuka, asking them a question.
"Yes, we're fine just surprised to hear that Viperion and Ryuko are married." Ladybug answers the master of Chaldea, "It's a bit unexpected for us,"
Chat nodded, agreeing with his Girlfriend. "Yeah, it's nice to know that Kagami found someone to spend the rest of her life with." The Hero of Destruction stated.
Ryuko turns to the Chaldeans and Heroes from the Past. "You all must be tired from coming here and fighting Rani." She turns around, motioning to the entrance of the hallway. "Come, we have much to discuss."
Both Heroes turn to the master of Chaldea, Ritsuka nodded as everyone enters the hallway of the Base.
Facility Four
Inside the Base, Johann Sebastian Bach was standing among the Resistance Soldiers, going over the plan for their raid on the Prison.
Among the Soldiers were Servants that came along with Johann to aid with the raid. These were Constantine, Koyanskaya, Sita, and Lancelot.
"So we're going to raid a Prison to free some Humans?" Koyanskaya asked, loading her rifle for the raid.
"From what I hear, these People were the first to revolt against the Eternal Empire," Constantine informed the Servants around him.
Sita nodded, remembering seeing a few revolts when she materialized with her Brother-in-law. "I can confirm that there were a lot more revolts just when the Counter Force Servants were materializing." The Queen of Kosala confirms what the Emperor suspect.
The Archer looks at the black-haired Rider, further explaining what happened before they arrived. "A lot of Servants who appeared teamed up with these People, but they were killed, and the People captured and sent to the Prison."
Koyanskaya placed down her rifle, returning it to its Spirit Form, "You know, the Anomaly Emperor must be really stupid not killing those People." She then paused, thinking of why the Empire doesn't kill the Resistance members.
Just when the Alter Ego was about to speak, the front door opened. Entering was their master's group and the Leaders of the Resistance followed him.
Ritsuka stops midway, seeing his Servants from the other Bases are here. "Koyanskaya, everyone; I'm glad that you all are joining us for this mission." The Magus smiles at his Servants gathered in the Base.
"Y-Yes, I'm eager to join the fight, master," Sita spoke, looking around the Base and the Servants joining their master. "Speaking of…is Lord Rama with you, master?" She asked, worried if she uses her Noble Phantasm around him.
"No, he's staying with Caster and the others in healing Charlie," Ritsuka informed the young Queen. "He and Violet are on guard if any Empire forces make an appearance at the Sakura Labyrinth."
The red-haired Archer nodded, understanding the curial role her Husband was placed upon. "R-Right, I understand," Sita said,
Constantine looks at his master, curious about what he's been up to. "Master, I take it the mission was a success?" The Emperor asked.
"Yes, the Leyline connecting to the Base should be working. Koyanskaya?" Ritsuka looks at his Secretary beside him.
"The Mana is slowly gathering in the Base; by the time we finish with this mission," Koyanskaya informed her master of the situation in the other Base. "Bunnyx, BB, Berserker, and Archer of Kosala have the place strapped down until we return."
Ritsuka nodded, seeing things are working out smoothly for now. "Alright, let's try and keep this progression smoothly,"
"Only if we can do that, Fujimaru but you know that the Emperor might do something to stop us." The Beast of Cherishment commented, seeing the odds of the Eternal Empire dishing out something will be possible.
Ritsuka and the others agreed until they heard a cough behind them. "Alright everyone, we're heading out in a few hours; make preparations for Battle!" Rani announced to the entire room, receiving war cries from the Soldiers.
Ryuko walks towards Ritsuka with Viperion and Johann behind her. "Lord Fujimaru, if you would follow u; then we want to go over the Battle strategy for the Prison Raid." The bluenette Hero asked, motioning to the hallway.
"Right, lead the way."
In another room, Ritsuka sat with Ladybug, Chat Noir, Nero, Moriarity, and Koyanskaya. While Viperion, Ryuko, Louis, Machiavelli, and Assassin sat before them. The Storm Border was listening in, adding their thoughts whenever they need to. "Before we start the strategy meeting, I would like to introduce to you our Strike Team Leader for this raid." Assassin of the Resistance stated,
The Hero of Perfection stood up, inclining her head to the Chaldean master and Heroes from the Past. "I am Kagami Couffaine, Holder of the Dragon Miraculous, and the last Leader of the Resistance. I heard many things from our Collaborators about you and Chaldea," Ryuko stated before continuing.
"Allow me to formally introduce us to you in your Chaldean terms," Ryuko said, wanting to clear some things with them. "All of us Heroes of the Miraculous go by Servant Class name helped Caster of the Sakura Labyrinth."
Ladybug nodded, "That's right, Bunnyx introduce herself as Foreigner, Viperion as Moon Cancer and you go by…"
"Saber, one of the Seven Classes as Caster says," Ryuko stated,
"Since we're done introducing ourselves again; let's get to our strategy meeting," Morarity suggested as Assassin activates the hologram of the Prison.
The Assassin points to the large Prison gates at the front, "This Gate is essential for both an exit and entrance, we have to hold this position until we get everyone out." The white-haired Servant stated, "We hold it until every single person being held prisoner, Human or Heroic Spirit otherwise."
Chat looks at the hologram, taking note of the different colors on the Gates. "Why is the Gate a different color?" The Hero of Destruction asked,
"I can tell you that the Gate is heavily guarded, a ray shield per se," Machiavelli informed the occupants in the meeting. "A powerful technology that could hold back any attacks."
Holmes appeared via transmission. -ZZZ- How interesting, so any attack from anyone will not damage the Gate.-ZZZ- The Ruler commented, figuring out a plan to deal with the ray shied Gate. He turns to Archimedes for assistance. -ZZZ- Caster, if you would please share your expertise? -ZZZ-
Archimedes join the meeting, taking the time to analyze the data they sent. -ZZZ-Hmm…-ZZZ-
"What do you think, Caster?" Nero asked the brown-haired Caster.
-ZZZ- Based on the data we have on the Prison; the Gate is generated using Mana from the Cube, so overcoming it may be impossible…-ZZZ- Archimedes said, sharing his technical knowledge to the group. -ZZZ-For mere Soldiers,-ZZZ-
Ladybug was confused, unsure of what the Technical Advisor meant. "Can you explain, Caster?" The bluenette Hero asked,
-ZZZ- As I said, no soldier can get through or damage the ray shield. However, a Noble Phantasm or two might do the trick. -ZZZ- Archimedes informed them.
"I see, a Noble Phantasm should be able to fry the circuitry of the Gates." Moriarty deduced from what the Caster shared. He then looks at the group, "Possibly two at least,"
Louis raised his hand quickly, having an idea. "The Berserkers should be able to hold the Gates and destroy it." The blonde master suggested.
"I agree with Louis, we got two Berserkers currently joining us. So using the two like that should be efficient." Chat Noir supported his Son's suggestion, smiling at him.
Everyone agreed with both Lancelot and Rani holding down the Gate, but not everyone. "True that Berserker can hold down the Gate. But his Noble Phantasm is not what you think." Ritsuka stated, knowing what the young Boy was saying.
"Umu, unless you have a fighter jet laying around then I'm afraid it won't work," Nero stated, seeing that plan was a bust.
Ryuko frowns, placing her hand on her chin. "I see, we don't have any artillery to supply your Berserker with. The best we could do is small grenades at best, " The Saber stated.
"What about Pretender, Tlaloc? She could be helpful-"
Holmes interrupts Ladybug's statement before she could finish. -ZZZ- I'm afraid the best course is not to use Pretender's Noble Phantasm just yet, Ms. Ladybug. -ZZZ- The Ruler strongly suggested not to use their trump card just yet. -ZZZ- If Mr. Fujimaru Summoned Pretender, then it's best to leave her in the Base. Her power is something to use for the final Battle. -ZZZ-
"Holmes is right, Pretender is going to help us when the time comes to face Karl der Grobe," Ritsuka explains to the bluenette Hero.
Viperion nodded, "I see; if Pretender's your secret weapon for Karl der Grobe, then she should stay secret until then." The Moon Cancer agrees with the Detective.
Assassin nodded agreeing with the four on the notion. "So Pretender's not going to be in the raid," He stated, making it clear to everyone. "Now, who else has the best Noble Phantasm for taking down the Gate?" He asked as everyone thinks.
Suddenly a groan interrupts the group, "Geez, aren't you forgetting something, Fujimaru?" Ritsuka turns to Koyanskaya tapping her finger on the table.
Everyone was confused by what the Alter Ego was saying, "AH! You got that!" Ritsuka exclaims, remembering what exactly Koyanskaya possesses.
Eternal Empire Prison
D'Artagnan sighs, overseeing the gathering of Enemy Programs and other Machines the God of the Forge. "(Caster…please come back safe.)" The Saber said to himself,
"Interesting, you seem to know where Machiavelli is Saber." The red-haired Servant turns around, seeing Felix walking down the hall and approaching him.
Felix smiles at the Saber before standing next to him. He had his hands behind his back, currently biding his time with him. "Master, what are you doing here?" D'Artagnan asked his master, worried that things would not play as they should. "If the Resistance or Chaldea comes here then it won't-"
"Be safe?" Felix turns to his Servant, raising his eyebrow. "Oh, I'm sure I'll be fine with you protecting me, Saber." The master of the Anomaly stated.
The blonde turns back to the window, smiling down at the small Army down below. "But in all honesty, I'm here to ensure our prisoners don't escape under Emperor Karl's request." Felix smiles, "But first, tell me…do you know where our dear friend Niccolo Machiavelli, Saber?"
The red-haired Saber cleared his throat, answering his master's question. "She went off investigating a Leyline. She believes more Servants will come,"
Felix nodded, placing his hand on his chin, "Uh huh, and why did she leave her post? It's a clear direct order from the Emperor that you and her stay and guard the Prison with Lancer." The blonde master said, reminding the Servant of their purpose.
"Of course, I remember the order, master," D'Artagnan answers his current master, "We take our orders seriously,"
"So, tell me why?" Felix asked, not finishing his question.
'Why?" D'Artagnan asked,
Felix turns to face his Saber next to him, holding up his Command Seals. "Why did my Contract with her suddenly got cut off?" The master asked,
D'Artagnan's eyes wide, hiding the fact he knows that Caster received help from the Grand Servant Candidate. "I-I didn't realize that Caster was able to sever the Contract." He lied, "Why did Machiavelli sever her Contract with you?"
"That's why I ask you, Saber," Felix asked, lowering his hand with the Command Seals, and placing his hand back on the chin. "I want to know why she has done that. But my working theory is that she felt bad for the Parisians here and switch sides to the Enemy." The Anomaly master said with a smile.
"I-I see…" The Saber turns around, hearing someone coming over from the other end of the hall.
Both master and Servant pair look at the incoming Servant heading this way. Felix smiles at the incoming Servant,
He was Caucasian with orange spiked hair and red eyes. The Servant wore a short black sleeve jacket with a hood and pants. His lower arms and legs were dawned in silver armor and a single blue-grey fabric on the left side of his leg.
"Master, the Enemy is coming." Lancer of the Eternal Empire informed the two.
Felix smiles, waiting for this moment to arrive. "Prepare to confront the Enemy, capture them alive." He ordered the two Knight Servants before him.
"Yes, master!"
