Ch 39 The Alter Ego of White

Nothing…there was nothing, just a World of Ocean that eyes could see.

There were no traces of Human Civilization left, nor any living beings for that matter. The only proof that there was a Civilization in this World was the broken buildings around an endless sea of Ocean.

A once peaceful City now shows the empty surface of an enlarged Ocean with the tips of skyscrapers breaking the smooth watery surface.

Human or any life for that matter lies beneath the endless Ocean. Stone statues scattered around the former roads and streets of what was once a flourishing City,

These statues were Humans, indeed, Humans that were petrified by the power of Destruction. Their bodies, frozen in a fearful state, were fragile and with the slightest touch could easily be washed away.

A World where Humanity once flourished now sits beneath as an underwater ruin of its former glory. That said, Humanity didn't go extinct per se, only one remains in a Dystopia World,

This Human was the cause of the World's End, the soul being who not only killed Humanity but killed the Moon.

A Crime big as killing the Moon, will not go unnoticed nor unpunished.

It's been many years since his run-in with his Lady, he waited for her to fix the World. However, it did not happen,

He waited for days, seeing if his Lady used her Power to restore his World. However, it did not come. Days turn into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years.

"Why…Why the World did not return to how it is…" A blonde man in a Cat suit asked, still standing where his Lady departed. "D-Did she go back on her word…"

"No, she did not." The Man turns around, seeing after years of being alone saw a beautiful figure. "I'm afraid what you hope for is more than a Childish dream; no Power made by Humans can fix this mess." The Woman said,

"This Timeline has been pruned away by the Universe." The Woman continued, "So no matter what, this scene will always stay the same."

The Man stares at the first Woman he ever laid eyes on after the ordeal with the Planet's destruction. "I-I didn't know there were more survivors on this Planet other than me."

He took a good look at the Woman, she has pale skin, long luscious blonde hair, and a very old yet elegant dress. However, her eyes were red like Crimson blood and other Worldly.

The Woman in question cocks her head, "I'm afraid you are mistaken, I was never here in this texture of the World when you killed Humanity and the Moon." She stated,

The Man's eyes widen, hearing that she knows his misdeeds. "H-How did you know?" He asked her.

"Simple, I watch all from within the Planet, the Inner Sea." She said with terms that the Man never heard before. "I even witness the Destruction of the Moon and the Planet I represent."

These words that this Woman was speaking, it was like she wasn't even Human. Like she's the Planet herself, "W-What are you?" He asked, getting chills all of a sudden.

The Woman merely greeted him, lifting her dress and inclined her head. "I am known as an Ultimate One, born from the Inner Sea of the Planet as its brain. I am Archetype Earth," She greeted him with grace and humility. "For Human simplicity, call me Arcueid Brunestud."

Arcueid smiles, getting to her purpose of appearing before him. "For my reason for leaving the Inner Sea, I'm here to give due punishment for your crimes." The Ultimate One stated in a serious tone.

"W-Wha-"

"Your punishment shall be to live in this Dystopian World for all of eternity. Alone, never again use your Power to destroy." The Ultimate One issued the Man's punishment, light shines brightly at him. "And forever bear witness your misdeeds to the Planet and Humanity."

He opens his eyes, looking for the Woman who was there. He then realizes he felt different like he was frozen in time, "No…i-it can't be…" He ran over to the glass, seeing his reflection,

White, his hair, his Suit, his mask, everything is white. "No…NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Eternal Empire: Patricus

Ritsuka huffs, being dragged by Nero while heading in the direction of Prometheus Base. The rest of the Resistances split up with Servants guarding them.

Currently with the Chaldean master were Ladybug, Chat Noir, Nero, Johanna, and Machiavelli. The three masters decided to leave Louis with Assassin since he went through the same trauma as he did with his Parents.

"S-So, what's the plan here, Ritsuka?" Ladybug asked, a bit calmer than before, "Felix would definitely have his eyes set on us." She commented.

"Based on what reports that the Resistance has on Alter Ego of White. The Empire has sent him to deal with large groups of Servants." Johann stated, reading the reports at Prometheus Base.

Machiavelli nodded, confirming what the Ruler said was true. "Now that Lancer of the Eternal Empire or Lugh is freed from the Empire's control, Alter Ego of White is the last enforcer in their Army." The Caster explains to the group.

Chat Noir looks at the violet-haired Caster, seeing this as the perfect opportunity to ask something. "Machiavelli, can you tell us more about this Alter Ego of White? Like whom he is and what's his weakness?" The Hero of Destruction asked.

"I don't know much about Alter Ego of White," Machiavelli answers the blonde Hero, "Nor his Origins, however the only thing I know about him is that he's something Foreigner of London plucked from another World, another Lostbelt per se." The Author said.

"He's a Servant that Foreigner and Felix took an extra liking to him," Machiavelli explains to the group on the information she has on the Enemy Servant.

Ritsuka was now intrigued about who this Alter Ego of White truly is. "So Felix and Foreigner are invested in Alter Ego of White. Is there any reason why?" He asked their former Enemy.

Nero looks at the violet-haired Caster, sharing her thoughts. "Umu, is it the components that make up Alter Ego?" The Roman Emperor asked, "Are they special that the latter would pay very close attention to him?"

"Components?" Chat asked, still new to this Servant thing.

"Alter Egos are mainly composed of at least three Divine Spirits or any other beings. Not to say that those beings are the main unit, in your case, it's more like gaining the Powers from the Miraculouses from the Miracle Box." Johanna explains to the Hero of Creation,

Chat remembers what Alter Egos are, "Ah, now I remember." He commented. "So, do you know who inside Alter Ego is then, Machiavelli?"

"Yes, but you might like it, Chat Noir." The violet-haired Author informed the Hero of Destruction.

"They're made up of the Kwamis of the Miracle Box, Chaton." Ladybug sadly informed her Boyfriend. "Alter Ego has killed those who weren't at the Base and absorbed the Kwamis into himself."

Chat halted his running, stunned by the revelation he was just told. "Y-You mean to say that every Kwami, except for Viperion, Rena Rouge, Carapace, Bunnyx, and Ryuko were taken by that thing!?" He asked, now realizing the danger Alter Ego poses.

Ritsuka took note that his fellow master had stopped running. "Chat Noir! Don't stop running-damnit, we're too late!" The Magus saw the White blur hurling toward them, practically above them.

"CHAT, BEHIND YOU!" Ladybug exclaims, seeing the Alter Ego of White about to kill her Boyfriend.

"Master!" Johanna quickly heads to her Summoner, attempting to save him from being killed.

Chat turns around, seeing Alter Ego create a long sharp object, ready to slice him in half.

"Indestructible blade that even the Rakshasa King succumbs over, take form!" A loud voice booms throughout the City.

"Feast upon my enemy!" A shining light twinkles behind the group before a halo hurls just above them.

"That's-" Ritsuka recognize the Blade, hurling for Alter Ego of White.

Alter Ego quickly raised his Weapon, attempting to block the Divine strike. "Brahmastra!"

The Divine Weapon spun rapidly against the Alter Ego's Weapon. "RAMA!" The Weapon cracks before splitting in half, soaring back to the Saber who tosses it.

Rama grabs hold of his Brahmastra, landing in front of his master's group. "Forgive my lateness, master. But I, Rama, King of Kosala is here now." The Saber stated, prostrating his Sword.

Johanna quickly grabs Chat's arm, bringing him over to the group. "Master, be careful. Alter Ego is now considered a dangerous Servant to lower your guard."

Chat shook his head, returning to the current situation. "R-Right, sorry, sorry," He apologizes, returning to the group as Nero and Machiavelli joined Rama in the defensive line.

"Rama, what are you doing here? I thought you were staying at the Sakura Labyrinth while Charlie heals?" Ritsuka asked his Servant, curious about how he was here.

"Caster of the Sakura Labyrinth and the others are finished with repairing Charlie's Spirit Origins. He told us to regroup with the Resistance since the Final Battle is upon us." The red-haired Servant informed the group of what the Grand Caster told them. "We decided to help you all,"

"Huh? What does that mean?" Ladybug asked the King of Kosala,

Rama looks at the bluenette Hero, "I didn't come alone in saving you all," The Saber informed the group.

Alter Ego of White stares at the broke Weapon in his hand before discarding it. "…" He turns his attention to the newcomer and proceeds to attack him. "…"

The Lostbelt Servant dashed towards the group, making another attack. "Alter Ego is coming this way!" Ladybug exclaims, seeing the living Weapon coming for them.

"Don't worry, we got-" Nero paused, seeing her fellow Servant halt her. "Rama?"

"No, there's only one Person in the entire Lostbelt who can defeat Alter Ego of White," Rama stated, preventing any more unnecessary deaths.

"Who?" Chat asked the Saber, curious who can defeat Alter Ego.

Alter Ego of White was this close to eliminating the insurgence of the Eternal Empire. But something wrapped around his waist, pulling back away from the Chaldeans.

Everyone saw a figure leap on above the Alter Ego, spinning around before punching him hard into the ground. The figure leaps back from attacking Alter Ego, regrouping with the Chaldeans.

"Ruler!" Both Ladybug and Chat Noir smiles, seeing the return of the Counter Guardian.

Ruler of Paris smiles upon hearing the two greet her back. "It seems we've arrived right on time." She smiles, shifting her eyes to Chat Noir, "Chat Noir, I'm glad you're safe and well after our separation."

"Thanks, Ruler," The blonde Hero smiles at the Counter Guardian.

"Now…master, all me to handle Alter Ego of White. The rest of you-"

"No, we're staying to help, Ruler," Ladybug stated, not wanting to run away from the Enemy.

Chat nodded, agreeing with his Girlfriend. "That's right, we're not leaving you to face him alone."

Johanna, Rama, Nero, and Machiavelli join Ruler, standing with her against the last inquisitor. "You know they're right, Ruler," Rama commented, agreeing with the two masters.

"Umu, you're not alone in this fight, Ruler." Nero prepared her Sword, ready to take down Alter Ego of White.

"As a fellow Ruler myself, I will help however I can," Johanna added, supporting Ruler's stand.

The bluenette Hero shook her head, denying their help. "No, this fight is my fight." Ruler of Paris said, "Only I can defeat him."

"…Ah…."

Ritsuka heard something coming from the other side of the street. He looks at the White blur Servant, shaking where he was standing, "Huh? Alter Ego of White is…reacting to…" His Saphire eyes shift to the Counter Guadian. "Ruler,"

Ladybug steps forward to Ruler, "Ruler, you should know-"

Ruler of Paris smiles at her younger self, seeing she was different than what she was in her original life. "Ladybug, no, Marinette. I understand that you want to help me. However you are too young, and this is my responsibility."

The bluenette Hero blinks, listening to her Future self speak. "This Servant…this Person is the result of our mistake and arrogantly think I could fix things by erasing my mistake…" Ruler stares at Alter Ego, reacting to her appearance.

"M-M-MA…R…I…" Alter Ego growls, the white mist became all distorted.

Ladybug was taken, hearing her name from Alter Ego of White. "W-Wha…"

Chat stood next to his Lady, not liking how Alter Ego was saying her name. "Marinette, stay behind me…" The Hero of Destruction said, protecting her from whatever happens,

Ruler of Paris glares at Alter Ego of White, "I know everything about you Alter Ego," She stated, causing Ladybug to observe the Lostbelt Servant. "From your favorite color to your favorite food."

"Ruler, d-do you know who Alter Ego is?" Ritsuka asked, getting a hint that she does.

"Yes, master. I do," Ruler's eyes shift to Ladybug, indicating that she knows the True Name of their Enemy too. "And you as well, Marinette."

"I-I do?" Ladybug asked, getting worried and nervous at the same time.

Everyone watches as Alter Ego of White gets more agitated by the Counter Guardian speaking. "M-M-MA…R…." Alter Ego growls even more, his mist was fading bit by bit.

Nero looks at the Counter Guardian, seeing the same reaction before. "Hey, Ruler, I know that you know who Alter Ego is. But I don't think Alter Ego is keen on telling everyone." The Roman Emperor stated,

Ruler of Paris shook her head, "No, this has to happen. Alter Ego of White must be revealed in order to defeat him." She stated, staying firm at the struggling Servant. "Alter Ego of White, you were born by my mistake, you came from a World where you're the only inhabitant that long forgotten your True Name."

"S-S-Shut…u-up…"

"I'm sorry, Marinette, Adrien. This is not how things should go." Ruler of Paris apologizes to the two.

"What do you mean, Ruler? What are you not telling us?" Chat asked before feeling a powerful surge of Magical Energy from where Alter Ego stood.

"That's right, remember who you are, Alter Ego-no, now that you remembered; Alter Ego of White is not who you are." The Counter Guardian proclaims, seeing the White mist dispel revealing who's underneath.

Everyone saw the mist around Alter Ego disappearing, revealing who is underneath the shroud of White. Ladybug's eyes widen, seeing the figure now clearly, she steps back in fear, never expecting that he would be a Servant. "N-No, i-it can't be…i-it's impossible!" She panics, her knees giving in to the sight before her.

Chat Noir quickly grabs hold of his Girlfriend, "Mari!" He held her closely, glaring at who was giving his Lady a panic attack, only to have his eyes in shock. "W-Wait…no…it can't be…"

"Master, I-I think that's…" Johanna was shocked to see Alter Ego's True Identity, resembling her master quite a lot.

Alter Ego of White held his head, growling in pain as the memories flooded back. The Servant wore a white Catsuit, his skin was pale like marble, his chest expose like someone blasted him, and his hair a pale blonde. Fangs protrude from his upper lip and his eyes are ice blue with no mask.

"Chat Noir…" Machiavelli continued, didn't expect the Alter Ego who absorbs half the Mircale Box would be the Empire's Enemy.

"Alter," Ritsuka added, knowing that this was an Alternate version of Chat Noir or the Servant form.

"That's right, Chat Noir Alter or Chat Blanc. The sole living being where he destroys the Moon and the entire Human populace." Ruler of Paris stated, informing them of who Alter Ego of White really is. "He was a creation of a divergence timeline that was pruned after a signal action he took."

The Counter Guardian frowns, seeing that sad state of her once Love. "And the biggest regret in my life." Ruler stated, shaking her head to focus.

Chat Noir was at a loss for words, he looks at Altered self, howling in pain. His clothes were tattered, and he wore no mask, revealing his insane blue eyes. Those things told him that he went through hardships that he would never understand. In a sense, he pitted his Lostbelt version of himself.

But Chat cannot find the right words to say, only bewilderment at the fact he has an Alter like Marie Alter. "T-That's me…another me from another-" He looks down, seeing Ladybug in a frenzied state.

"My Lady!" Chat held onto Ladybug tightly, being the only thing to do at the moment. He checked her over, seeing that she has fainted from shock.

Chat Blanc's ice-blue eyes gazed over to Ladybug, seeing her being touched by his Proper version of himself. "T-T-THAT'S…MY….LLLLAAAADDYYY! AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!" He leaps forward, his claws emitting a white aura similar to Chat Noir's Cataclysm.

Both Nero and Rama took a stand in front of the Heroes of Paris. They blocked the Lostbelt Servant's attack, using their Magical Energy to push him back. "Did Alter Ego change his Class? He's more like a Berserker or Avenger than an Alter Ego!" The Roman Emperor asked, feeling the sudden change in power.

"No, he's still an Alter Ego. He must have Madness Enhancement boosting his Skills." Johanna informed the group, using her Authority as a Ruler.

Ritsuka could see what the Pope was seeing. His actions and the way he used them are the results of whatever he endured in his World. "Ruler is right, Avenger is more leveled-headed than Alter Ego is now." He commented.

"AAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!" Chat Blanc roars, attacking the Chaldeans once more.

Ruler of Paris yo-yo at the Alter Ego, jumping above him and wrapping it around his waist. "HA!" She quickly swung her yo-yo away from them, tossing the Alter Ego away from the.

The Counter Guardian turns to the Chaldeans and her master. "We better leave when there's time. I tossed Chat Blanc away but with the Powers of the Miraculous, he could easily teleport here." Ruler stated, looking down at her younger self.

"Right, Ladybug doesn't look good at all. We need a place for her to rest." Ritsuka stated, knowing everyone has an idea where to rest.

"We'll lead the way, master!" Rama claims as the Servants quickly lead them to Prometheus Base.

On the other side of the City, Chat Blanc came out of the rubble. "GRAH!" He held out his hand as a white portal appeared, leading him to where he last saw the Chaldeans and Ladybug.

Once he went through, the Lostbelt Servant was only met by an empty street. "M-Mari…nette…" Chat Blanc growls, seeing his Lady in the arms of another Man. Then memories of the good times with Marinette in his Timeline and the Marinette from Proper Human History cross, causing him to consider them as one.

"I-I will…AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!" Chat Blanc roars in the air, taking off to search for his Lady.
