It's been two weeks since Beacon was saved, however, at a great cost.
many had lost their lives in the battle of Beacon both to the Grimm and to the White-Fang. However, despite the odds, Beacon had survived and it was beginning to rebuild.
Many students were not at Beacon either dead, heading back to the other Huntsmen Academies, or visiting family, as Summer Break had also begun.
Ozpin was alive and while still healing, would return to his duties as Headmaster, as well as having a few discussions with both the Council and General Ironwood.
Pyrrha and Ruby were hailed as the saviors of Beacon, though Ruby wouldn't know until she woke up, as she had been unconscious since defeating that dragon.
Yang was going to be ok, in fact, he heard she'd be getting a new prosthetic arm as an apology from Ironwood, and thankfully, she would also be returning to Beacon next year.
Blake was doing ok, but still on edge, as she was blaming herself for what happened to Yang, but apparently, thanks to some wise words from Weiss, telling her that the only one to blame was Adam, she decided to stay and would be staying with Yang and Ruby on Patch.
Weiss was safe and unharmed and would also be returning to Beacon next year, as she was finally out from under her father's thumb. She too would be staying with Ruby and Yang, as well as Blake on Patch until the school year started up again.
However, things with Team JNPR we're completely different.
Currently, Jaune Arc, leader of what was once known as Team JNPR, now stared at the empty room that was once his team's room. He walked in and sat right on his old bed and he continued to look at the empty room. As he looked around he couldn't help but be uneasy with how quiet the room was.
Usually, it was loud thanks to Nora but now... Now she was gone. As was Ren. They both were gone.
Both had sustained heavy injuries and died. When Jaune saw them in the infirmary, he saw that both were laid next to each other and they were holding hands, knowing that it was most likely their last moment alive with one another.
Jaune had cried heavily that night and all into the next morning. Later, they were buried with the other students who had lost their lives, a monument near the cliffs of the Emerald forest was being built, however, that's not how Jaune would remember them.
The only thing Jaune had to remember them by was Nora's spare pink gloves and Ren's concealed dagger.
Of course, he had tried to tell Pyrrha about their loss but she wasn't answering his calls. Most likely too busy with whatever was going on with Ozpin and Ironwood, but he was sure that Ozpin or Goodwitch had told her... But then why not see how he was doing? Why not come back to what was their home here in Beacon? Why not... Why not be there with him when they were buried?
Jaune Arc was alone.
Blake and Weiss were with Ruby and Yang in Patch while Ruby was still unconscious and he couldn't blame them for leaving, they already had a lot on their plate and Jaune did not want to burden them with his problems.
As for Pyrrha... Well, he had no idea where she was or what she was doing, but he was sad and angry with her. She had not been there with him, and she had not been there when Nora and Ren were buried, which pissed him off more.
He was alone. No team. No friends to help him right now.
He was also worried that he'd be kicked out of Beacon as now two of them were dead and one of them had just left.
Jaune looked around the now empty room and sighed. Today he was supposedly going to hear from the Ozpin about his future here in Beacon.
Suddenly, his scroll buzzed in his pocket and he took it out only to see it was a message from Ms. Goodwitch.
'Speak of the devil' he thought
He opened it and read the message:
"Dear Mr. Arc, I would first like to say I'm deeply sorry for your loss of Ms. Valkyrie and Mr. Lie, they will be remembered for their sacrifice.
Regarding your future here at Beacon Academy, please report to Headmaster Ozpin's office immediately, as he himself would like to discuss with you your position here at Beacon.
Sincerely, Professor Glynda Goodwitch."
Jaune looked at it and a neutral expression was on his face.
He wanted to stay here and Beacon and keep fighting for Nora and Ren... But he didn't want to be alone.
Jaune got up from his bed and began walking out, he turned around at the doorway only to take one more look inside of the room.
He then closed the door and the door automatically locked behind him.
This would be the last time Jaune set foot in what was once JNPR's room...

In Ozpin's office, Ozpin sat on his desk, a few bandages could be seen around his neck and hands, however, overall, he seemed fine. With him in the office was Glynda Goodwitch, who was uninjured but looked like she needed a good night's rest.
Goodwitch looked to Ozpin, "Is this really wise Ozpin? Letting the boy stay here?" Glynda asked
Ozpin looked to Goodwitch and gave her a nod, "Yes, do you think otherwise?" Ozpin asked
"He has just lost two of his teammates and Ms. Nikos will no longer be a part of his team due to her new status as our Fall Maiden, meaning he will be alone and you know that we don't do single Huntsmen like Haven and Shade," Glynda told him
"I am still aware of those facts, Glynda, however, Mr. Arc will not be attending this Academy alone," Ozpin stated
Glynda rolled her eyes, "Ah yes, this offer you have for him, you still haven't told me about it," Goodwitch said
"And I won't," Ozpin said "Just trust me that I believe I am making the right decision," Ozpin said
Glynda sighed, "Very well," she said
Finally, the Elevator to the office dinged and they looked over at it as it opened, and Jaune had walked out and stood in front of them with what they both assumed was the best smile he could conjure.
"Mr. Arc, it's very good to see you," Ozpin said
"Thank you, Headmaster, I'm glad to see your doing better," Jaune told him
Ozpin nodded, "Please, have a seat," Ozpin told him
Jaune nodded and he walked closer to the desk and sat across from Ozpin and Glynda.
"Glynda, would you please give us a moment, would you please step outside for a bit," Ozpin said
Glynda looked at Ozpin with peered gaze before letting out a sigh and nodding, "Yes, Ozpin," she said, she then looked to Jaune with a soft and understanding gaze, "please do take care of yourself Mr. Arc, and should you need someone to talk to, please do come to me or any of the faculty," she told him
Jaune nodded, "Thank you, Professor," Jaune said
With that said, Glynda resumed walking and left entered the elevator, and left the office, thus leaving Ozpin and Jaune alone in the office.
"So... Am I getting kicked from Beacon?" Jaune asked
"Straight to the point, eh, Mr. Arc?" Ozpin asked with a smile, "But to answer your question, no Mr. Arc, you will not be kicked from Beacon, instead, I have an offer for you,"
Jaune was a bit surprised, "An offer sir?" Jaune asked
Ozpin nodded, "Yes," Jaune said "With the passing of Ms. Valkyrie and Mr. Lie, you need a new team," Ozpin said
"What about Pyrrha?" Jaune asked
"Due to certain circumstances, Ms. Nikos will no longer be on a team and will no longer be your partner," He told Jaune, "I'm sorry,"
Jaune looked down and he was saddened by the news and let out a heavy sigh, "I understand," he replied, he then looked back at Ozpin "But what about this offer? What is it?" He asked
"You'll be leading a new team, you will have four other teammates,"
"A five-man team sir?" Jaune asked, "Is that even allowed?"
"Under these circumstances, yes," Ozpin said "You and these four new students will be moved to a new room that is specifically built for you and then," he told Jaune
"Ok, anything else?" Jaune asked
"I want you to understand something Mr. Arc, these students aren't from the same walk of life as some of us, their lives weren't the best and they will not be easy to work with, but I believe that you can help them get onto the right path and lead them to better goals, you may not get along with them," Ozpin said "Mr. Arc, can you promise me to help and lead these people, putting your own feelings aside?" Ozpin asked
Jaune looked at Ozpin and saw the look in his eyes, Jaune knew it was something along with the like of confidence that he could do this and trust that he was the right person for this. Jaune sighed a bit he nodded, "Yes Headmaster, I will do my best to help these new students, even if I have to put my own personal feelings aside, I will do my best, I promise, Arc's word," Jaune replied
Ozpin smiled, "Thank you, Mr. Arc," Ozpin said, "Oh, and Mr. Arc," Ozpin called
"Yes?" Jaune asked
"I am sorry for your loss, I know what it's like to lose dear friends, and please, if you need to talk, do come to me, Glynda, or any of the faculty here, we are here for you Jaune," Ozpin told him
Jaune smiled and gave a quick nod, "Thank you... Headmaster," Jaune said, "Headmaster, who are these new students?"
Ozpin looked at him and sighed, "I might as well tell you, Mr. Arc..."

"So... you mind telling us why we're here and not back in our cells?"
Right now, Ozpin was in his office looking at the four young individuals, three of which helped nearly destroy his school, one of them was captured looking for a certain individual. Mercury Black, Emerald Sustrai, Neo Poltain, and Ilia Amitola. Each of them was uncuffed and staring at him and him staring back with a small smile on his face.
"How would you all not like to be back in those Cells?" Ozpin asked
Each of them was confused as they looked at each other and then back at the Headmaster, not believing what they heard and what was implied by him.
"What are you talking about?" Emerald asked
"What I am asking, Ms. Sustrai is would you like to be students here at Beacon instead of being back in prison?" Ozpin asked "I am giving you all, a second chance," He told them
Mercury looked at him, "Hold on a sec," Mercury interrupted, "you really want us, us, to be students here?"
"Correct,"
"What's the catch?" Ilia asked
"The catch is that another student will be leading you, a student I can trust, and you will be monitored by them, both in and out of this academy," Ozpin said
"Another student?" Emerald asked before rolling her eyes, "Who's the goody little two shoes?" Emerald asked
"Um... that be me,"
All of them turned around and behind them, just stepping out of the Elevator was Jaune Arc, looking a little awkward, as he walked over to stand next to Ozpin's desk, Emerald was shocked, Mercury just sort of smiled, Neo looked a little intrigued, and Ilia just glared at him.
"Him!?" Emerald cried
"A human..." Ilia growled
"Yes, Mr. Arc will be leading you," Ozpin said, "You can either accept it or you will be put back in prison where some of you will be serving out a life sentence,"
Neo raised her hand and nodded,
"Ms. Poltain you are in agreement, correct?"
Neo nodded.
"You understand that if you run or try to kill Mr. Arc, you will all go back to Prison, correct?"
Neo nodded.
Ozpin smiled, "Very well then, Welcome to Beacon Ms. Poltain,"
Mercury then stepped forward, "Hell, I'll take this offer," he said with a smirk
Emerald looked a little shocked, "Merc!? Really!?" She asked
Mercury rolled his eyes, "I'd rather be outside of a cell than in one Em," Mercury said
"That's two," Ozpin said
Ilia also stepped forward and looked at Ozpin, "I don't like this... but I will take it," Ilia said
"Very good, Ms. Amitola," Ozpin said, he then looked at Emerald, "And what is your decision, Ms. Sustrai?" Ozpin asked
Emerald looked at him and then looked to Jaune where her gaze turned into a glare, but she regained her composure and looked back at Ozpin, "Fine... I'll do it," she said
Ozpin smiled, "Good," Ozpin said "Now, Mr. Arc will lead you to your personal room fit for all of you and there you will find all of your clothes, Uniforms, new scrolls, and your weapons,"
"We get our weapons back?" Ilia asked with a raised brow,
"Yes, you are students after all, and I trust that none of you will harm Mr. Arc, after all, he is your team leader and your ticket out of here," Ozpin said with a smile
Emerald and Ilia raised a brow when they heard that.
'What does he mean by that?' Emerald asked
Ozpin got up, "Now, I believe you all need a good rest on an actual bed and I will expect to see you all tomorrow at breakfast in uniform and with Mr. Arc, who will lead you to your new room," Ozpin said
Jaune stepped forward and had a nervous smile on his face, "Um, follow me, please," he said
He stepped in front of them and led them to the elevator, inside, no one talked, they just stayed silent.
Jaune sighed to himself, 'This is not how I planned on spending my summer break' Jaune thought
After the very awkward introduction, Jaune had led them all back to their new team room, and he used his scroll to open the door and let them all in first before he followed them inside. Once inside, most of them were stunned by the room itself.
The room was vastly different than the ones that were assigned to the regular teams. There were two bedrooms, one for the girls and one for the boys, another room appeared to be for the team leader as it was a sort of office, there was also a kitchen and a living room. It was more akin to an apartment than it was to a simple dorm room.
Mercury looked around and whistled, "Wow, didn't know a place like this was in Beacon," Mercury said
"It didn't," Jaune chimed in, "Ozpin renovated this place apparently," Jaune said
Mercury turned to him, "Really?" Mercury asked, "How'd he know that we actually take the deal?"
Jaune shrugged, "I-I don't know, he just knew, he's really mysterious about that kind of stuff," Jaune said
Mercury just smirked and rolled his eyes, and resumed looking around with the others. Neo walked into the kitchen while Mercury and Emerald and Ilia checked out the rooms.
Jaune watched them as they walked around and decided to assign rooms, "Um, the room on the right is Mercury's while the room on the left is for you girls," Jaune said
Ilia looked in the bedroom that was there and saw three beds that were well made, three small dressers for them, and their weapons on their bed. Ilia was shocked to see that Ozpin was telling the truth, they had their weapons back. Meanwhile, Mercury looked into the other room and saw one bed that was well made and he had his own dresser, and of course, his weapon was on the bed, however, he also noticed that there was another bed, but it was missing it's blanket.
Mercury popped out of the doorway and looked at Jaune, "There's another bed in here, that is your's?" He asked
Jaune looked at him and then he scratched his head and gave him a nervous smile, "Ah, yeah... but I got some things I need to do before heading to bed, and I might be in there all night," He said
Emerald looked at Jaune, 'What exactly would keep him up in the office for so long?' Emerald asked herself
Mercury shrugged, "Alright then,"
Jaune nodded as a replied to Mercury and then looked to the girls, "Um... so are you all hungry?" Jaune asked them
Neo popped back into the living room and nodded.
"Yeah, I could use some good fucking food," Mercury said
"Yeah, why not," Emerald replied
Jaune nodded, he then looked at Ilia, "Ilia, what about you?"
Ilia turned to Jaune and glared at him, "I'm fine," She said with a frustrated tone before making her way back into the room.
Jaune saw her glare and just felt nervous and then turned back to the other three of his new teammates, "Ok... well um, what would you guys like to eat?" Jaune asked
"Pizza," Mercury said
Neo nodded with a smile,
Emerald nodded, "Sounds good to me," she said
"Right, I'll get some from the cafeteria then," Jaune said with a quick nod

After getting the pizza and making his way back to his new form room and gifting dinner to his new teammates he took a few slices with him and told them that he'd be in the office.
Back in the living room, Emerald, Mercury, and Neo sat and ate. Emerald was currently thinking about the new situation that they were all in. She thought about why Ozpin had given them a second chance and why Jaune had agreed to lead and watch over them. Now that she thought bout it, where were Nikos and the other two that usually were with him?
"Hey Merc," Emerald called out
"Yeah?" He asked
"Did you notice that Nikos and those other two idiots weren't with Arc," Emerald said
Mercury nodded, "Yeah, what about it?" Mercury asked
"Where are they?" Emerald asked "Why "lead" us when he already had a team?" Emerald asked
Mercury shrugged, "Who knows, who cares," Mercury said "let's just be thankful that we're not back in prison,"
Emerald was curious but she admitted Mercury was right, it didn't involve them, even if Jaune was her new "leader" and she should "care" about him, doesn't mean she was going to. This was just her ticket out of here.
"Speaking of which, you think he's gonna try and bond with us? Ya know try and get us to share our emotions and junk?" Mercury asked as he turned to Emerald
"Ugh! I hope not and if he tries I'll lock him out if the room," Emerald said
Neo just listened to what the two were saying about their new "leader" and she couldn't help but roll her eyes at how childish they were being. She agreed with them that this wasn't her ideal situation but she couldn't complain about her new "home".
While she would admit she thought very little of this Jaune Arc, she was going to be stuck with him so might as well try to get on his good side. This is how she was going to survive. That was the most important lesson that Roman taught her.
Thinking about Roman made her sad and angry. Sad that he was gone, he was her family, the only person left in this world who truly knew her and now, she was alone, and the reason she was angry was that she couldn't get revenge on his killers, Cinder was dead and Ruby Rose was far from Beacon.
But Neo swore she would have her revenge. No matter what.
"So what do we do tomorrow?" Mercury asked, "We're stuck with him while we're here, so do we do as he says or just do our own thing?"
"I'm not taking orders from someone like him, I say we just do our own thing, I mean what can he do? Fight back?" Emerald asked with a smile "He's the worst fighter here, it's not like he has a chance,"
Mercury chuckled and nodded, "true," he said
Unbeknownst to them, Ilia was actually eves dropping on the whole conversation, this gaining new information on her new so-called leader.
'So he's weak' Ilia thought 'Then he should be easy to take out, all I gotta do is get Blake's location first then finish him off, but I better do it later tonight, that gives me time to get information and then escape' Ilia thought

That night, Ilia looked around and saw her fellow "teammates" sound asleep, she then looked at her alarm clock only to see that the time was 2:00 AM in the morning, seeing this and knowing that none of the others would still be awake at this hour, she cautiously got out from under her blanket and grabbed her weapon before she camouflaged into the surrounding area and made her way out of the room as quietly as possible. She opened the room door quickly and quietly and then exited her room and then closed the door behind her. Once in the living room, she saw how dead it was at night, she only heard the hum of the fridge and the snoring of the silver-haired human, however, she noticed the lights were still on in the office room as the light peered out from under the door.
'he couldn't possibly still be awake, could he?' Ilia thought.
However, she continued with what she planned and walked over to the office and she heard nothing on the other side.
'He must have fallen asleep in here' she thought 'Good, I can get the jump on him then'
Ilia silently opened the door and walked in and closed the door behind her. Once inside the office room, she looked to her right only to see Jaune sleeping at the desk that was also in the room. She could tell he was sleeping as his back moved up and down rhythmically. She grabbed her weapon and slowly approached the sleeping blonde and prepared to kill him and look for any information regarding Blake's whereabouts.
She approached and got a better look at his desk and the paper and files that apparently littered it, she scanned the desk for a quick second only to stop when her eyes fell on a certain file.
It was her's.
Ilia was confused a little, but then she scanned the desk once more only to see that not only was her file on the desk but so were the files of her teammates. 'Why does he have our files?' She asked herself
Ilia lowered her weapon and picked up her file, opened it, and began to read through it, as she did that she realized that the file detailed almost every part of her life. Where she lived, where she was trained. It even documented... what even happened to her parents. Ilia was shocked, she looked at the sleeping blonde and realized that he now knew every detail of her life, as well as the others.
The question now was, why?
Why did this human want to know everything about her as well as the others? Was it to gain insight into their lives? Discovers their weaknesses? Gain information? What was it?
Her attention had shifted, now, instead of interrogating this human in order to find Blake, she wanted to know why he had their files. She looked around his desk for answers and finally, she found a paper right in front of him that seemed to be related to her and the other three humans.
It was a letter. However, it wasn't just a simple letter, it was a letter from The High Court of Vale. She could tell it was from them due to the vale kingdom emblem atop the letter. Seeing this, Ilia picked it up and began to read the letter, and as she did, she couldn't believe what she was reading, a shocked and stunned expression came to her face.
'This is c-can't be!? Is he insane!?' Ilia thought to herself, she looked away from the letter and to the sleeping blonde, "This Human... really agreed to this?" She said aloud but to herself.

So, how was it? I just finished RWBY Vol.3 and I had an idea for a good fic.
Also, I've been reading a few RWBY fics on FF and here from writers like Bigdeisel and ArcofUA, and I wanted to take a swing at it but since I never watched the show I wanted to watch it before I tried writing fanfiction for it, so yeah.
Also this right now will be my only RWBY Fic since I wanted to try it out and if it doesn't work then I can just stop writing it and continue to writing mostly BNHA stories, but if this does good then I'll keep writing this one by itself while working on my other stories.
