Sabrina's P.O.V.-Sunday(Three days ago)-Greendale Cemetery

Everyone was wearing black as they were standing near a coffin. The coffin was closed, which was fortunate because despite the efforts with make-up, they couldn't hide the disfigured face that used to be beautiful and full of smiles. The face that used to be her living mother.

As the coffin was put in the ground, Sabrina felt tears streamed down her face. She looked around to see that Quigley had tears as well, Zelda and Hilda were full on sobbing, and Aaron's parents had somber looks on their faces.

Aaron patted Sabrina on the back, as the priest began to speak.

"In times like these, we have no words, we have only each other. Today we come together to mourn the passing of Diana Spellman. Devoted wife of Edward Spellman, beloved mother to Sabrina. Scripture tells us, "Sorrow not, for we do not walk alone"

The priest say as everyone somberly agreed, before bowing their heads, no doubt making a prayer to whatever god was up there to make sure her mother made a safe journey to heaven.

Sabrina began to sing to herself, looking down at the coffin as someone began shoveling dirt onto it.

(A/N: Please enjoy the song, 'Invisible: Prologue' from the Beetlejuice Musical, as it fits this moment. watch?v=Q8Fkd5PcMQ0)

"You're invisible when you're sad

"Clocks tick and phones still ring

"The world carries on like mad

"But nobody sees a thing

"Whispering behind their hands

"Lost for kind words to say

"Nobody understands

"And everyone goes away

"Grown-ups wanna fix things

"When they can't it only fills them with shame

"So they just look away

"Is it being greedy to need somebody to see me

"And say my name?

"Seems when you lose your mom

"No one turns off the sun

"Folks carry on, that's that

"You're invisible when you're sad" Sabrina sang as everyone, slowly, start to leave the cemetery. However, Sabrina ran back to put a flower on Diana's grave before she ran back to her family.

(A/N: Beetlejuice: Holy crap, a ballad already? And such a bold departure from the original source material! *Record scratch* Wait, am I reusing my script from the musical, or is this part of the episode?

Me(AKA, Daggett19): Beetlejuice, aren't you supposed to be waiting for the second season?

Beetlejuice: Yes.

Me: Then go and wait.

Beetlejuice: Okay, I'm going. And it better be a great introduction to me when you get there! *Leaves the room*

Me: Anyways, enjoy the chapter.)

Wednesday-Sabrina's Bedroom, Spellman's Residence

Sabrina was going through her closet, seeing what needed to be cleaned up, when her attention fell on the box containing her mother's scarf again. She was about to open it, feel the scarf, but stopped herself before she did so.

No. If I hold the scarf, I'll have to accept she's completely gone. That she's dead. That we'll never get to have a girls day out. Sometimes, I feel like this is a nightmare, and when I wake up, everyone will reveal that it was a sick joke. Please, don't let me accept that it's true. I'm not ready yet.

Sabrina pleaded in her thoughts. However, when it seemed like her hands had a mind of its own and was about to open the box, she was saved by Zelda's voice.

"Sabrina, you're gonna be late for school!" Zelda shouted from the stairs.

"Coming!" Sabrina shouted back, as she put the box on a shelf, where she won't have to see it, much less open it, until she's ready...whenever that'll be.

Everyone's P.O.V.-Greendale Middle School

Every student was getting everything set up for the parent/student dance that was happening later that night, hanging up decorations and rolling out a red carpet.

"Good job of hanging up the student self-portraits, PI." Sabrina praised Pi for hanging up a painting of him and Harvey in spy gear.

Another painting shows Sabrina standing in an open oyster, a third shows Aaron wearing armor(Sabrina helped Aaron with that, since his drawing skills aren't great.) and the fourth shows Chloe wearing a purple and yellow dress with a large purple hat and a basket in her hands.

"As soon as we finished putting up the 'Welcome Parents' banner, I think we're done. We have to make this the most perfect open house ever. Know why?" Sabrina asked.

"You've only told us about 300 times. You're dad's coming." Harvey said.

"Harvey, let Sabrina have her moment. It's not everyday she gets to see her dad." Aaron says, bandages covering his injuries from the events of the prior day.

Though his pride was as wounded as his body because, well, it's not everyday you can say you literally got beaten up by a disease.

"Oh, I cannot wait for you to meet him, Harvey! He's so funny and smart and really handsome." Sabrina says, leaning on the ladder.

"I'm sure your dad is a great guy, Sabrina. After all, he's, like, your dad." Harvey says, trying hard to keep the ladder from tipping over.

Sabrina, realizing the ladder was tipping, grabbed it to keep it balanced.

"He's, like, the best. And I'm gonna have him all to myself for three whole days." Sabrina explains, excited about her father being in Greendale for the next three days that she forgot she was supposed to hold the ladder.

"Sabrina! Whoa! Right now, I don't want to have this ladder all to myself, okay?" Harvey asked, grabbing onto a banner to keep his balance.

"Oops, sorry." Sabrina apologized as she held the ladder.

"Sabrina, I've been looking all over for you." Chloe said, walking up to Sabrina, Aaron and Harvey, before looking at Aaron.

"Aaron, why do you look like you got beaten up by the disease?" Chloe asked, causing Aaron to groan.

"Don't worry about Aaron, he felt like his pride got wounded." Sabrina said, causing Aaron to groan some more.

"Anyways, Mrs. Bleachstain named you and Harvey this year's host and hostess of open house." Chloe told Sabrina.

"Harvey, Aaron, isn't this wild?!" Sabrina asked the two, only to gasp as she saw Harvey barely hanging on to the ladder as Aaron was struggling to keep it balanced.

"Yeah, extremely." Harvey said nervously, only for him to fall off.

"I got you!" Aaron stated with outstretched arms, only for Harvey to land on him.

"Thanks, Aaron. Your body cushioned my fall." Harvey said.

"Yeah, but who will cushion my body?" Aaron said dazedly before shaking off the pain, and Harvey, and stood up, dusting himself off.

Later-Sabrina's P.O.V.-Route to Spellman's Residence

"I'm the official hostess of the open house and my dad's gonna be here! Oh, this is too perfect!" Sabrina exclaims, skipping down the sidewalk as Chloe walked next to her.

"Your dad sounds so cool. I'm looking forward to you and me spending some time hanging with him." Chloe said.

"Sorry, Chloe, I've got him booked. We're gonna spend every minute together, just the two of us." Sabrina said.

"Oh yeah? Well, like, did you ever think that your dad might want to enjoy doing stuff with other people while he's in town?" Chloe asked.

"No." Sabrina answered.

"Huh?" Chloe asked, her jaw dropping as Sabrina walked away, a smile on her face.

After all, my dad spends time with me when he's here. Maybe we'll talk about mom soon. Yeah, that'll help with any emotional baggage we need sorting through. Sabrina mused in her thoughts, having a game plan for the three days her father will be in town, as she had a daydream about her father.

Sabrina's daydream

Her father was in an astronaut suit. He was at a podium in the middle of a press conference, with a bunch of reporters and photographers wanting to talk to him and take his photo.

"Oh, no. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I have no interest in piloting the first manned space flight to Mars." Sabrina's father, Edward Spellman, handed the space helmet to the person in charge of the space program.

"It wouldn't be anywhere near as exciting as being with my darling daughter, Sabrina Spellman." Her father said, as Sabrina was sitting on a golden pedestal, as the crowd adored her and took her photo.

"The president just called. He wants you to pose for the newest face on Mt. Rushmore," A reporter told Edward.

"I'm sorry, no." Sabrina's father politely declined.

"We've just gotten word that Spielberg just asked you to star in every movie he makes from now on," Another reporter said.

"No, no, no. Sorry. All I'm interested in is being with my darling daughter, and talking about her beautiful mother." Sabrina's father said, putting an arm around Sabrina.

"Sabrina! Sabrina!" A distant voice that sounds like Chloe's called out.

"Huh?" Sabrina asked, ending the daydream.

Reality

"I said, I'll catch you later, okay?" Chloe asked.

"Oh, wow, we're at your house already?" Sabrina asked, surprised by how much distance passed.

"I gotta get home and get everything ready! My dad will be here any minute!" Sabrina says excitedly as she runs all the way to her house.

Sabrina's Bedroom, Spellman's Residence

Salem was on Sabrina's dresser, watching as Sabrina was trying on a couple hats. One was white with blue ribbons.

When Sabrina looked at Salem for his opinion, he gave her a thumbs down, causing her to look down before zapping another hat on, which caused Salem to laugh.

When Sabrina looked at Salem for his opinion on her witch hat, he made the finger across the throat gesture, causing her to zap another hat onto her head.

This one is a tiara. Salem did a 'gag me' gesture as Sabrina frowned at him, before zapping it away.

"Now that's you." Salem said, nodding his head.

"You're right, Salem. I should keep everything just the same." Sabrina agreed as she stood up and opened a cabinet she has.

"Whenever dad comes to visit, it's always been just him and me. And the 'me' part of it hasn't even worn a hat." Sabrina said as she started tossing aside some clothes, trying to find the perfect one, not noticing that a pink shirt landed on Salem.

"Sabrina, nothing stays the same forever." Salem said as Sabrina tried to put on a pink sweatshirt, only for it to be too small.

"What up with this? It doesn't fit, and it's dad's favorite. He gave it to me for my 10th birthday." Sabrina said.

"My point exactly." Salem said.

"Does that mean you'll be friends with Aaron?" Sabrina asked.

"No. If there is one thing that'll stay the same, it's the fact we won't be friends!" Salem countered.

Everyone's P.O.V.-Living Room

"Hilda, as the older sister, I should decide how we should decorate for Edward's visit." Zelda said.

"Oh dear, I don't know about this." Quigley said, wiping away his sweat.

"But you and Edward don't get along, especially after what happened that Christmas Eve! You'll just put up stuff he'll hate. As the one who has a better relationship, I should decide how we should decorate for his visit." Hilda argued.

"Normally, you would. But you lost the chance when you decided to gloat about what you've done." Zelda said coolly as she zapped the living room, making it look like it came out of the Victorian era.

"See, Zelda? That is, so, like, last century." Hilda said as she zapped the living room so that it would look like a punk rock studio.

"And that is so I Love Lucy." Zelda retorted as she zapped it, causing it to look like a waiting room for a dentist, or psychiatrist's office.

Salem, walking in, was horrified and returned the living room back to normal. Pleased with himself, Salem walked over to the couch Quigley was sitting at and sat down on it.

"Thank you, Salem." Quigley said.

"You're thanking Salem? Must be the end of the world then." Mary said as she, Jake and Aaron entered the living room.

"Why are you guys here?" Zelda asked the Dimensions.

"One, because we like to visit." Jake said.

"And two, Jake thought you might need some help breaking the news about Diana to Edward, just in case he doesn't know." Mary said.

"Exa-Mary, we both agree, not just me!" Jake said.

Suddenly, everyone heard the doorbell.

"I got it!" Sabrina exclaims from the living room doorway as she runs to the front door and opens it to see her father's outstretched arms and smiling face.

"Sabrina!" Edward said happily.

"Dad!" Sabrina said, hugging her father as everyone looked at the two with smiles.

"Oh, I have a surprise for you, honey. This is Futura Hyde," Edward said.

"Huh?" Sabrina asked, a record scratch in her head.

"She's my fiance. We're getting married, Sabrina! Isn't that great news?" Edward asked as Sabrina felt like her world shattered and she internally screamed.

He just says that, like mom wasn't a part of his life. But, maybe this is a prank. A cruel, horrible prank. Sabrina pleaded in her head.

"Sabrina, honey, don't you want to congratulate us?" Edward asked, noticing Sabrina's expression went south quickly.

"No, not really." Sabrina said meekly, though no one heard, or noticed, as Hilda and Quigley started congratulating Edward and Futura on their engagement.

Zelda, Jake and Mary, on the other hand, looked like they got slapped in the face by the bombshell Edward dropped.

"But Edward, surely this isn't the time to drop this on anyone. I mean, Diana's dead." Jake said.

"I know, which is why it's the perfect time to tell everyone, especially Sabrina. That way, everyone will move on from grieving over Diana." Edward said.

"But you said Diana was one in a million." Zelda said in a low tone.

"Yeah, well, she's just a phase. And regardless, I'm glad to have an excuse to move on from her." Edward whispered, though his volume was picked up by Sabrina, who felt like her heart would shatter.

She doesn't even mean anything to him! Which means one of these days, I won't matter to him! Sabrina lamented in her head as Aaron was just dumbfounded.

"Sabreeny, are you okay?" Aaron asked.

"I don't want Futura here. She's gonna ruin everything for me! She already took my father's love for my mother away, what else does she want?" Sabrina asked in a low tone, as Aaron patted her back, not sure how to help out in this whole situation.

Kitchen

Zelda ran into the kitchen, about to comfort Sabrina, when she almost bumped into Hilda bringing lemonade out to the living room.

Looking at an empty tray, Zelda zapped caviar onto it, just as Hilda walked back in.

"Caviar, please." Hilda scoffed as she walked over to Zelda.

"Futura's a normal mortal, go with something she might actually like. Like, nachos, maybe." Hilda said, zapping a bowl of nachos onto the table.

"Hilda, if you actually socialize with people instead of going on pointless dates, you might notice mortals enjoy caviar at events like this." Zelda countered as she zapped the nachos, turning them into caviar again before turning towards Sabrina.

"Sabrina, are you okay?" Zelda asked, kneeling down so that she was eye level with Sabrina.

"Not really." Sabrina admitted.

"Wanna talk about it?" Zelda asked.

"Maybe later. I'm not in the mood right now." Sabrina said truthfully as she put her face in her hands.

"Okay. Just know I'm here if you wanna talk." Zelda said as she stood up, patted Sabrina on the back, and left the kitchen.

"Since you're not in the mood for talking, I could use your help with the snacks. Here, you can give Futura this diet soda." Hilda told Sabrina, forcing a can of diet soda into the latter's hands.

"Do I look like a waitress?!" Sabrina snapped, just as Hilda zapped a pink waitress outfit on Sabrina as she walked away.

"I am so not in the mood for this!" Sabrina said angrily, her body trembling with rage. At Hilda and Quigley for accepting her father's new fiancee. At Futura for trying to replace her mother. At her father for tossing her mother to the side.

And at her mother, for what, Sabrina quickly forgot the reason as she realized she's not angry at her mother. She's sad because she'll never get to see her mother again. She won't get the chance to use her evaluation results to prove to Enchantra that her parents being together wasn't a mistake, a chance for them to be together again.

Zelda walked in, narrowed her eyes at Hilda once realizing where the maid's outfit on Sabrina came from, and zapped it off her.

"Did you see the way Edward looked at Futura? He's definitely a warlock in love." Hilda gushed.

"Oh yeah. So I have to be happy for you and Edward with your false love lives, yet you two can't be happy for me when I was with Madison and went to destroy it? Are you even seeing how devastated Sabrina is?!" Zelda snapped at Hilda.

"No. Why?" Hilda asked.

"Argh! You and Edward are so impossible, you two wonder why I don't hang out with either of you! It's clear that Sabrina was hoping Edward would want to talk about Diana, and he destroyed her hopes by basically telling her to get over her own mother!" Zelda yelled.

"Oh," Hilda said.

"Don't you dare pull that! You and Quigley both know Sabrina's plans and you two saw it went up in flames. Yet, you two did nothing! You're proving my point that you just use Sabrina as an excuse to live here!" Zelda shouted.

"Who cares, as long as Edward found love with Futura!" Hilda snapped back.

"Stop it! Just stop it!" Sabrina yelled.

"What's wrong, Sabrina?" Zelda asked, quickly changing her tone to one of concern.

"Not only am I tired of you guys fighting all the time now, all I hear is Futura, Futura, Futura! What about me?! What about the fact she's horning in and ruining my time with dad?! What about the fact that my dad won't even talk about my mom?! I hate Futura!" Sabrina shouted.

"Sabrina, you can't hate someone you don't know." Hilda said.

"What about Tim?" Sabrina argued.

"He's a different case. Give Futura a chance. After all, if your father loves her, so will you." Hilda countered.

"No, I won't!" Sabrina argued.

"Yes, you will!" Hilda said firmly.

"No, I won't! And I'm done with you and Quigley telling me how I should feel and what I should do!" Sabrina roared back.

"Okay, okay. Both of you stop. Sabrina, you don't have to like Futura, but I do think that you and Edward should talk. Alone." Zelda added, glaring at Hilda.

"Okay, I can live with that." Sabrina said as she, Hilda and Zelda left the kitchen.

"Futura and I met in her shop. She's in the antique business." Edward said to Quigley, Jake, Mary and Aaron.

"Ah, that explains what she saw in Edward." Salem snarked as Quigley shushed the cat, due to Futura not knowing Edward was magic, just as the three Spellman females walked into the living room.

"Here's your soda." Sabrina told Futura, giving her said soda.

"Thank you, Sabrina." Futura said.

"Sure." Sabrina replied as she was about to walk away, only to hear a kissing sound. Not wanting her father to kiss Futura, Sabrina ran to the couch the two were on and sat between them.

"This is where I always sit. Right here. Right next to my dad." Sabrina said, giving Edward a tight hug.

Edward gave Futura a shrug, unsure what was going on. Futura just smiled as she opened the soda, only for it to spray in her face.

Edward, Hilda and Quigley started asking Futura questions about if she was okay. Extreme reaction for such a small thing, soda spraying in one's face.

"Good." Sabrina said to herself. She shook the can on the way to the living room, without Hilda and Zelda seeing.

"Ooh, that sounded a little witchy." Salem said.

"That's exactly how I feel right now." Sabrina stated, slouching back in her seat, which caused Salem to fall off the back of the couch.

"Now she'll blow up and blame me and Dad'll get rid of her that fast." Sabrina said with a snap of her fingers.

However, Futura only laughed off the incident. "After that long flight, I had a little bit of jet lag. But I'm feeling more bubbly now." Futura said.

"Right. Play it off like you're not totally furious." Sabrina grumbled under her breath.

"Trust me, dear, green is not your best color." Salem said.

"Do you actually think I'm jealous? Of her?" Sabrina asked, indicating at Futura.

"No, I don't think. I know." Salem said, only for Mary, sensing things were getting tense, turned towards Salem and glared at him, causing him to stop.

"What made me fall in love with Edward? Well, Quigley, I suppose it was all the things we have in common." Futura said, leaning her head on Edward's shoulders.

"Yeah, like going to art museums, and horseback riding," Edward listed.

"Horseback riding?! Dad, that's something you and I do together." Sabrina said.

"Well, honey, it's something Futura and I enjoy doing too. Hey, I'm thinking it'd be fun for all three of us to do it together." Edward said.

"I don't think so." Sabrina argued, crossing her arms, before thinking of a plan.

Sabrina's idea

Edward and Futura were doing horseback riding, wearing the proper gear. Sabrina flew over them on her broomstick.

Sabrina flew down near Futura, who looked up in fear, as Sabrina zapped the saddle. It ejected Futura off into a mud puddle as Sabrina flew off with her father.

"Aw, nothing could be better than this. And I love and miss your mother too." Sabrina's father said.

Reality

No, even that's stupid. Not to mention Dad won't talk about Mom. Sabrina said in her thoughts.

"Being here with the two girls that I love is the best." Edward said.

"Well, then you're ahead of me, Dad. I still have one guy I love the best." Sabrina said sadly as she kissed her father on the cheek.

"As least, I used to." She said to herself as she walked to her room, much to Edward's confusion. Aaron followed after Sabrina to at least comfort her as a friend.

He looked at everyone, trying to figure out what's up. All he got were Quigley, Hilda and Futura's confused faces, and Jake, Mary and Zelda's pissed off expressions.

"What?" Edward asked.

"You know what." Jake said, his fist clenched tight that it was white.

"Not r-" Edward began.

"Diana's just a phase. Nice job saying that in front of your own daughter, Edward! She lost her mother and you just had to rub it in her face!" Mary yelled.

"And you two are no better, not even bothering to comfort her! Most of all you, Quigley. Diana was your niece, and you're not doing anything to comfort Sabrina!" Zelda said as she hurried out of the room so that no one can see the tears threatening to spill from her eyes.

"...Edward, you told me Diana died during childbirth. Is there something you wanna tell me, before your sister and her friends tell me?" Futura asked, as Edward sweat nervously, knowing he has to fess up.

"Um, Hilda's not Mexican?" Edward supplied as Hilda had an aghast expression.

Sabrina P.O.V-Sabrina's Bedroom

Sabrina and Aaron were on the former's bed. Sabrina looked at a picture of her and her father, the two were happy. The two barely heard the adults arguing downstairs.

"How are you doing?" Aaron asked, before realizing how stupid his question was.

However, Sabrina answered. "Quite honestly, I feel like a part of myself died with my mom. What hurts is that regardless of the evaluation, my parents will never get back together." Sabrina said, as Aaron winced.

"Yeah, guess I raised your hopes for nothing." Aaron said.

"Yeah. Even if you didn't see this coming, it must've been one of the outcomes you saw with your powers." Sabrina said, getting mad at Aaron for whatever reason she's not sure of.

"That's not how it works, unfortunately. I can't see branches of the future, I can only see visions of either the future or the past or even words from said periods of time. And even then, I don't spam it out, Sabrina, it comes randomly whenever I touch something or someone important." Aaron defended.

"So, when you raised my hopes, did you see this coming?" Sabrina asked, still mad.

"No. Sabrina, if I saw this coming, why would I not try to stop this? Like, I don't know, get you to convince your mother to take a vacation early?" Aaron asked, causing Sabrina to see reason.

"Yeah. Sorry for losing my cool. It's just-" Sabrina began, only for Aaron to stop her with a friendly hug.

"I get it. It's been a rough week, going through grief and your dad isn't making it better. I have no idea what you're going through, and I don't think I ever will." Aaron said.

"What about your uncle Emerald?" Sabrina asked.

"It happened years ago, when I was born, and I only recently found out about it. So, I can't really feel grief about it." Aaron said.

Just then, Edward opened Sabrina's door. Sabrina put on a fake smile as she hid the photo.

"I'll let you two have your moment." Aaron said, leaving the room, yet staying in the hallway.

"Got a minute? I just wanted to tell you how much I love you." Edward said as he sat down on Sabrina's bed, right next to Sabrina.

"Dad, am I still your best girl? After all, you have Futura now, and that's making you all fabulously happy and everything." Sabrina said.

"What's making me fabulously happy is being here with all the people I love." Edward said.

"If you asked me, things feel a little crowded right now." Sabrina said.

"How about a walk with Futura and me before dinner? You two can get to know each other." Edward suggested.

"Gee, Dad, that sounds like fun, but I have to run an errand. And I'll be back soon, okay?" Sabrina asked, about to leave the room.

"By the way, do you at least miss Mom? Even a little?" Sabrina asked, looking back at her father. Edward's silence was the answer she needed as she looked down and left the room in sadness, but not before grabbing her mother's scarf from the closet.

Sabrina walked up to the attic and sat down on a chest, looking at the scarf.

It's not holding this that makes me accept you're gone. It's Dad not wanting to talk about you, throwing you aside like a wet rag. Sabrina said as she held the scarf tightly to her chest, as she sang another song.

(A/N: Hope you enjoy the song, 'Dead Mom' from the Beetlejuice Musical, as it fits the moment. watch?v=KEct4Nod2iU)

"Hey mom, dead mom

"I need a little help here

"I'm prob'ly talking to myself here

"But dead mom, I gotta ask

"Are you really in the ground?

"'Cause I feel you all around me

"Are you here, dead mom?

"Dead mom

"Dead mom

"I'm tired of trying to iron out my creases

"I'm a bunch of broken pieces

"It was you who made me whole

"Everyday dad's staring at me

"Like all, 'Hurry up, get happy

"Move along

"Forget about your mom'

"'Cause daddy's in denial

"Daddy doesn't wanna feel

"He wants me to smile

"And clap like a performing seal

"Ignored it for a while

"But daddy's lost his mind for real

"You won't believe the mess that we've become" Sabrina sang, before looking at the pictures of her mother and smiling sadly.

"You're my home

"My destination

"And I'm your clone

"Your strange creation

"You held my hand

"And life came easy" Sabrina's smile left her face, replaced by a frown.

"Now jokes don't land

"And no one sees me

"Nothing seems to fit

"Mamma is this it?

"Are you receiving?

"I want something to believe in or I'm done

"Take me where my soul can run or I'll be in my bedroom

"Wake me when I'm twenty one

"Daddy's moving forward

"Daddy didn't lose a mom

"Mama won't you send a sign?

"I'm running out of hope and time

"A plague of mice, a lightning strike

"Or drop a nuclear bomb

"No more playing daddy's game

"I'll go insane if things don't change

"Whatever it takes to make him say your name

"Dead mom" Sabrina sang, on the verge of tears. It took her several minutes before she composed herself and left the room, not wanting anyone to see tears on her face.

Later-Harvey's House

"So you can see why I need your advice on how to get rid of her, Harvey." Sabrina said, giving Harvey a simple explanation of her whole situation, without the magic parts of course.

"Sabrina, I'm not exactly an expert on stepmothers. Besides, I can't talk now. I've got to finish with these leaves before my dad gets home," Harvey explained, raking the leaves.

"Harvey, come wash your hands!" Mrs. Kinkle called out.

"All right, coming, Mom!" Harvey said as he handed the rake to Sabrina. "I'll be right back." Harvey said.

Sabrina scratched her head before an idea came to mind. As the front door closed behind Harvey, Sabrina used magic to get the leaves in the bags.

Harvey walked out shortly, only to be surprised by the leaves in the bags.

"Huh?" He asked as he walked up to Sabrina.

"W-What happened?" He asked.

"You should have seen it. This incredible wind blew the leaves right into the bags." Sabrina said.

"Wow." Harvey remarked.

"So, what am I gonna do about Futura? I can't stand her. She's a total nothing." Sabrina said, sitting down on a rock.

"Bummer. Well, if you're gonna be stuck with a stepmom, too bad you can't be stuck with one that's at least fun and cool." Harvey said, sitting down and giving Sabrina an idea.

"That's it! Harvey Kinkle, you're a genius! You just figure out how this whole Futura deal can work out for me!" Sabrina said, jumping onto Harvey's lap.

Later-Kitchen

"Get off me! Stop it! Oh, you big clod!" Hilda exclaimed at an octopus, who was holding her in its tentacles.

"Hilda, it's my bouillabaisse recipe." Zelda argued.

"It's my bouillabaisse pot and I say we need more crabs." Hilda countered as Sabrina walked in the kitchen. A bunch of sea critters fell on three Spellman girls, causing Hilda to scream.

"Huh? What is going on?" Sabrina asked her two aunts.

"We're making bouillabaisse for Edward." Hilda replied.

"One, it's an elegant seafood stew. And two, you dragged me in here because you're mad I called you out for not helping Sabrina with her emotions." Zelda corrected.

"Who cares? Stop that lobster!" Hilda said, as a purple lobster started running away. Hilda chased after it as Zelda zapped a turtle, turning it into celery and put it in the pot, before throwing the lid at the lobster, trapping it.

However, it freed itself and continued running away from Hilda, this time Zelda joined the chase. Mainly just to get the cooking part over with.

"So I guess I'll just talk to Salem about the plan to make Futura the stepmother of my dreams." Sabrina said as she threw the starfish to the side while leaving the kitchen.

Living Room

"So that's how I figure I could stop Futura from ruining everything for me. I can make her into someone I'll like and enjoy hanging with." Sabrina said, as Salem was lifting weights and Aaron was on the couch.

"Sabrina, you're trusting Salem to help out?" Aaron asked.

"Yes." Sabrina said.

"Okay, not questioning anything." Aaron said.

"And?" Salem asked.

"And all I need is one teensy-weensy, teeny, itty-bitty," Sabrina began.

"Spell," finished Salem, striking a karate pose.

"Right." Sabrina said.

"Uh huh. Well, I'll need to think of whether or not this is something I can help you with." Salem said.

Before Sabrina began to make offers about catnips, squeaky toys, and tuna dip for a week, Aaron stepped in between her and Salem.

"Easy, Salem. You help Sabrina and we won't tell anyone that you help her." Aaron said.

"Eh, not happening." Salem said, frowning at Aaron.

"Okay. How about you owe us for saving you from being launched into space?" Aaron said.

"Which wouldn't have happened if you two haven't turned me into a mouse!" Salem countered with a smirk.

"Which wouldn't have happened if you didn't eat Chester, after getting mad at us for calling you a cat. But, you know, I think we can get you a dog for a friend. Minus the con of it chasing you, of course." Aaron said.

"Dang it. Always those loopholes. Fine, name your spell." Salem said, shaking hands with Sabrina.

"Well, my first choice would be something that would send her on a permanent vacation to Alaska. But-" Sabrina began to point out the flaw in that plan.

"What do I look like, spells unlimited?" Salem asked.

"No, you look like a cat who is a wash-up has-been." Aaron said simply.

"Go with something from the standard inventory, okay? And you, kid, will get the same treatment as your mouth." Salem snarked.

"I already did. It's how I'm smart." Aaron countered.

"In that case, I want to make Futura somebody I would like. Somebody cool, fun. You know, like me," Sabrina said.

"And this is gonna be something you're father gonna like, right?" Salem asked, hopping onto the couch.

"Salem, this is about making the whole Futura thing work for me, okay?" asked Sabrina.

"Fine. In that case, I have the purr-fect spell." Salem said as he jumped off the couch.

"Easiest pun ever." Aaron said.

"You're just jealous because you didn't use it." Salem retorted as he rummaged through his bag.

"I invented it myself. It's a killer. And the best part is, I receive a nice fat royalty every time it's used." Salem chuckled while holding up a mirror before zapping it.

"Look in this mirror, in your face, you'll see, but a carefree 12 year old is what you'll actually be." Salem incanted, as the spell went in the mirror.

"Just get Futura to get a good look at herself in this thing and bang, she'll be your soulmate." Salem told Sabrina as he handed her the mirror.

"She'll want to do all the same things I do? Cool! I'll get my Dad and a new cool friend." Sabrina said as she left the living room.

Guest Room

Futura was putting up her clothes in some drawers when she noticed Sabrina at the door.

"Sabrina, come in. I was so hoping we would have a chance to chat." Futura said as Sabrina entered the room.

"Right, great idea." Sabrina said.

"I hope I wasn't too much of a surprise. But your father insisted." Futura said.

"Hey, that's my middle name. Sabrina Surprise Me Spellman." Sabrina joked.

"You know, when I was about your age, my father brought home a new stepmother and I really hated the idea of having to share my dad with some strange woman." Futura said.

"Oh wow. Hey, cool mirror, huh?" Sabrina asked, holding out the mirror while secretly fuming on the inside.

How dare Futura try to claim they were the same? Sabrina lost her mother and her father barely acknowledged it at all!

"You know all about antiques, right? Take a look, see what you think." Sabrina said, thrusting the mirror into Futura's hands.

"This is an exquisite piece. Quite old. French, I believe." Futura determined.

"Are you sure? Look some more." Sabrina said, pushing the mirror closer to Futura's face. "Get in there really close." Sabrina added as Futura took a longer look in the mirror.

"So, Futura, who's your favorite band?" asked Sabrina.

"The Boston Pops." Futura said with a shrug.

"Really? Your favorite actor?" asked Sabrina.

"Cary Grant. He reminds me of your father." said Futura as Sabrina, pissed off that the mirror didn't work, grabbed it out of Futura's hands and stormed out of the room.

"Sabrina, don't hurry off. Stay, let's talk." Futura said.

"Sorry, I got a favor to cash in." Sabrina snapped, confusing Futura.

Living Room

Sabrina opened the door and glared at Salem.

"The mirror's a dud. That lame spell must've passed its expiration date." Sabrina said in a hushed tone, grabbing Salem by the collar of the blue shirt he was wearing.

"I'll have you know that spell made Spell of the Year eight years in a row." Salem argued.

"Maybe in the 1800s." Aaron supplied.

"Nope. During the 60s." Salem said.

"Still past the expiration date." Aaron said.

"Thanks for nothing." Sabrina told Salem as he left.

"There you are, Sabrina." Edward said from the top of the staircase, as he walked down it.

"Honey, I have a surprise for you." Edward said.

"I don't think I can stand anymore surprises today." Sabrina muttered under her breath as she hid the mirror in a pot of flowers.

"You and I are going out to dinner tonight." Edward told Sabrina, bopping her on the nose.

"Really?" asked Sabrina, excited.

"Really. It was Futura's idea. When we were talking our walk earlier, she said she thought we could use some quality 'dad and daughter' time." Edward explain.

"Dad, this is exactly what I wanted!" Sabrina said, her opinions on her father flipping like a switch. Earlier, she was mad at him for not missing her mother at all, now she was glad to have him all to herself at last.

"So, um, where do you want to go?" asked Edward.

"I know the absolute best place. Really funky, and," Sabrina began, only to get interrupted by a "Yoo hoo" as she looked up the staircase.

"Hey, you guys, wait up! Whee!" cheered Futura, sliding down the stair railing while wearing a turquoise version of Sabrina's outfit. "Ta da!"

"Futura, why are you dressed like Sabrina?" Edward asked, confused.

"Congrats, Salem, your thing works." Sabrina said under her breath, amazed that the spell worked.

"Oh, wow, I am, like, so hungry and I totally know what I want to eat," Futura say, dragging Edward and Sabrina out of the house with a smile.

"Chili dogs?" asked Sabrina.

"Oh my gosh! You are, like, completely psychic!" Futura says as Sabrina closed the door behind them with magic.

That night-Amusement Park by the lake

Edward waved at Sabrina and Futura, both of whom were on the carousel, which stopped as they got off, laughing as they did so.

"What should we do next?" Futura asked, before taking a sip of her soda and coming up with an answer. "I know, bumper cars!" She said, much to Edward's shock.

"Yes!" Sabrina exclaimed happily, feeling happy for the first time in days.

"But we've been on them three times already. I-I was hoping we could go someplace for a quiet dinner and-" Edward began.

"Oh, Edward, don't be such a fuddy-duddy." Futura chided before turning to run after Sabrina. "Dibs on the green car!" Futura said.

Soon, Sabrina and Futura were enjoying themselves while driving the bumper cars, helping Sabrina feel more happy than she had.

Shortly afterwards, the two were on a Ferris Wheel, laughing and waving to Edward.

Then, they were in a funhouse where they laughed at their weird, and funny, reflections.

Later, they were eating ice cream, playing carnival games, winning prizes and doing everything all over again, while Edward watched them, confused and sad.

After exiting the funhouse for the tenth time in a row, they ran up to Edward.

"Edward, I am having, like, so much fun." Futura said, hugging Edward.

"Futura, what's gotten into you? I feel like I'm out with a 12 year old. And stop that jumping, you're acting like a lunatic." Edward said, grabbing Futura by the shoulders to prevent her from jumping.

"And you're acting like a total fossil!" retorted Futura, shocking Edward.

"Is this because I lied to you about Diana?" asked Edward.

"Hey, Sabrina!" called out Harvey as he and Pi walked over to Sabrina.

"Harvey? What are you doing here?" asked Sabrina.

"Oh, Pi have a salt water taffy emergency." Harvey explained.

"Great, you can both meet my dad." Sabrina said.

Sabrina walked up to Edward and Futura, who weren't looking at each other in the face.

"Dad, I want you to me-" Sabrina began.

"Oh, wow, are you a babe or what?" Futura asked Harvey.

(A/N: Ew, I feel gross watching that and typing this.)

"Huh?" asked Harvey, dumbfounded.

"Are you into bumper cars?" asked Futura, as Sabrina and Edward were dumbfounded behind her.

"I love bumper cars!" Harvey said.

"Oh, we are so outta here!" Futura stated, dragging Harvey to the bumper cars.

Edward looked down in sadness before walking over to a bench.

"Dad, what's wrong?" Sabrina asked as she and Edward sat on the bench.

"I don't understand what's happened. The woman I loved is gone, just like that. Oh, Sabrina, I feel like my heart's gonna break," Edward said, making Sabrina feel guilty.

"Oh, Dad, I'm so sorry," Sabrina apologized.

"No, honey, I'm sorry. I-I screwed up. I shouldn't have sprung Futura on you like I did. I-I should've taken my time, thought things out. I should've waited until you were emotionally ready, instead of doing it while you're grieving for your mother, even if I don't really miss her." Edward said, giving Sabrina a one-armed hug.

"I'm gonna take a walk and clear my head." Edward got up, put his hands in his pockets, and walked off, leaving Sabrina alone as Sabrina had conflicted emotions, but the one that won was guilt.

"Oh, Dad, this all my fault." Sabrina said.

"Sitting on a bench, talking to yourself has been determined to be a possible indicator of the onset of premature weirdness, mi amigo." Pi said, tossing a taffy into his mouth.

"Pi, I have screwed up big-time." said Sabrina, holding the teddy bear she won earlier close to her chest.

Pi vaulted over the bench, sitting down on it. "Expand," Pi said, wanting to know what Sabrina meant.

"All I wanted was my dad to myself. I wanted it to be just me and my dad. Or, if I couldn't have that, I wanted a stepmother who was cool so I could. Anything just to heal the hole left by my mom's death." Sabrina explained.

"I, myself and I. So, we're talking about what? Not taking other people's feelings into consideration, maybe. Like they do the same to you at times." Pi said.

"How do you do that? Being out of it and really smart all at the same time," Sabrina says.

"Futura, over here!" called out Edward as he walked up to Futura and Harvey.

"I need to speak to you. I finally realized what you're doing," Edward said.

"Huh?" asked Futura as Harvey slowly backed away, not wanting to get caught up in this.

"This silly pre-teen act, it's to get Sabrina to like you. I love you for trying so hard, but all you have to do is be yourself, honey." Edward advised as Sabrina gasped, realizing the consequences of her actions.

"Eddie, you're such a goof! I am being myself!" Futura argued, crossing her arms, before seeing something that cheered her up.

"Cotton candy, yes!" She exclaimed as she ran towards the stall.

"Huh?" asked Edward before putting his hands back in his pockets and walked off sadly.

"I ruined my dad's life! What am I going to do?" asked Sabrina, before realizing something. Her mother used to tell Sabrina to think of others before herself all the time.

Well, now Sabrina is ruining her mother's memories too. Unless...Sabrina accepts Futura for who she is. Sure, it doesn't heal the hole left by her mother's death, nor does it excuse her father's actions.

However, that doesn't mean Sabrina has to ruin her mother's memories. And it's not like she's fully gone. Her mother is only gone if Sabrina forgets about her, which she would never do in a million years.

So, with one of the only pieces of advice her mother ever gave her, Sabrina made her decision.

Sometime Later-Spellman Residence

Edward pulled up in the driveway, him, Futura and Sabrina were in the car.

Sabrina kissed her father on the cheek before exiting the car. "Later, Dad! See you later, Futura! Gotta ask Salem something before he goes to sleep," Sabrina said as she waved goodbye to them while heading inside the house.

Soon, she walked in the kitchen where Salem was polishing the mirror.

"You and the kid better not squeal on me or even bring a dog, a deal's a deal." Salem told Sabrina.

"Forget the deal, I want you to reverse the spell this minute." said Sabrina.

Salem ignored her for a second to polish the mirror some more.

"Now!" Sabrina demanded, getting in Salem's face.

"No can do, mon petit fleur." Salem said, trying to go for some French words.

However, Sabrina, annoyed, grabbed him by the armpits and shook him a bit.

"My dad is about to lose someone he loves very much, because all I could think about was me and what I wanted. Well, now I'm thinking about my dad and what he wants. And you're gonna help me make him happy, pronto!" Sabrina demanded, setting Salem down on the counter.

"Sorry, blondie, you'll just have to wait till the spell wears off. And that'll take two or three days," Salem explains.

Sabrina groans as she slumps onto a chair. "Two or three days? They could be so apart in three days." Sabrina said.

"Then you just have to find a way to keep them together, won't you?" asked Salem.

Soon, Sabrina was at the table, planning some food for Edward and Futura, for when they came over to pick her up for the open house/Parent/Student dance.

"Omelet sausage, perfect. Hmm, coffee, juice, muffin, perfect, perfect, perfect," Sabrina conjured them up with magic.

"A romantic breakfast for dinner on the patio, that'll keep Dad and Futura together." Sabrina said as she attempted to lift the breakfast tray, only for it to be heavy.

She decided to use magic to lift it. "I can carry Aaron, no problem, but a breakfast tray is what stops me?" Sabrina asked.

Suddenly, Edward opened the kitchen door, shocking Sabrina. "Dad?" She asked, as the tray almost fell onto the floor, only for Edward to catch it with his magic.

"What are you doing in the kitchen this late? And right before we go to the open house too?" Edward asked.

"I wanted to surprise you and Futura." said Sabrina.

"Oh, that's sweet, honey. But, unfortunately, Futura is gone." Edward said, setting the tray on the table.

"Gone? Where?" asked Sabrina.

"I found this note on the guest door," Edward says, pulling out a note from his shirt pocket.

"It says, 'Gone boarding', whatever that means." Edward said as Sabrina facepalm herself.

"Honey, I don't think Futura and I will be getting married after all. She's not the woman I fell in love with. She's changed." Edward said, getting on his knees so that he was eye level with Sabrina.

"But Dad, she'll change back. 2 to 3 days max. I guarantee it," Sabrina assured.

"Oh, you haven't been up to any mischief, have you, my little half-witch of a daughter?" Edward asked firmly.

"Um, uh, Dad, just don't give up on her. Okay?" Sabrina asked.

"Sabrina?" asked Edward, wanting an explanation.

"Um, gotta go, Dad," Sabrina waved nervously as she attempted to leave the room.

"Hey, everybody!" Futura greeted, decked out in skateboarding gear.

"Wow, they have this amazing half pipe at the skateboard park, it is soooo fresh." Futura gushed as she ate a muffin and drank the orange juice, letting out a burp.

"Later, gotta snag a shower." Futura said as Edward stared firmly at Sabrina.

"I'm waiting." Edward crossed his arms.

"Well, see, I was so busy thinking about what I wanted, which was to have you all to myself so we can talk about Mom." Sabrina said, walking over to the other side of the kitchen.

"That when you showed up with Futura, all I could think about was how to make the whole deal work out for me. So, then, I kinda put a spell on her. Dad," Sabrina said, walking up to Edward, who turned his head away from Sabrina.

"What? Say something!" Sabrina exclaimed.

Edward sighed. "You behaved like a spoiled brat, Sabrina." Edward said.

Normally, Sabrina would apologize, but not this time.

"Yeah, but what about you? You're not saying anything about Mom! I might be 12, but I'm not stupid! Even if you don't care about her, I do! What will it take for anyone is this family, except for Zelda, to realize I need to talk about Mom?!" Sabrina demanded on the verge of tears.

"Sabrina-" Edward began.

"And if that wasn't enough, you drop the news about Futura on me! And when I try to make this work out, you get on my case, Dad! So why can't I get on yours for not caring about Mom?!" Sabrina shrieked, her fist clenched as Edward was shocked.

"I just want to know. Did you ever love her? Do you even love me? Or was it all a lie?" Sabrina asked.

"Sabrina, of course I love you. I really, really love you." Edward said, hugging Sabrina.

"And Mom? What about her?" Sabrina asked.

"Sabrina, it may hurt you to hear this, but Diana and me, we just didn't connect. Sure, Diana may have some love for me, but the love I felt for her wasn't there anymore. However, the two of us can agree that you were the best thing to come out of our relationship, even if we never say it often." Edward said.

"I know. It just hurts with her being gone." Sabrina said.

"I know it'll hurt. But she's not truly gone. You look more like her everyday, and that's a good thing. As long as you never forget the times you two had, she'll never be gone." Edward said.

"Thanks, Dad." Sabrina said, hugging Edward.

"Now, just tell me one more thing. What exactly did you do to Futura?" Edward asked.

"Well, I use this to-" Sabrina began, holding up the mirror and not realizing the spell was still in it.

"NO!" Salem shouted, but it was too late.

Ten minutes later-Greendale Middle School

"Welcome to our open house!" Sabrina greeted the parents and students who were entering the building.

"Really, Sabrina, it's kinda fun," Harvey said as he and Sabrina handed out flyers.

"Harvey, it's totally humiliating, okay?" Sabrina snapped.

"Sabrina, where's your dad? Everyone's talking about him. And I'm not talking about the dance." Chloe said as music blared from the inside of the school.

Sabrina pointed at a spot near a tree, where Futura and Edward headstands.

"Bumper cars later, honey?" Edward asked Sabrina.

"Absolutely, Dad!" Sabrina answered, waving to him.

"Three more days till the spell wears off? Ugh, this is gonna be a nightmare." Sabrina said.

"I know. And I don't know what's going on." Aaron said, walking up to Sabrina, dumbfounded by what's going on, since Sabrina forgot to tell him that the spell worked.

"It's a long and complicated story," Sabrina said, sure that Zelda was the only one in the house who would talk with her about her mother.

Zelda's P.O.V.-Zelda's Bedroom, Spellman Residence

Zelda was sitting on her bed, thinking about the day's events. She should've done more to comfort Sabrina.

No. Hilda, Quigley and Edward should've done more. Especially since it's clear Sabrina's still sad about her mother's death. No doubt those feelings are intensified due to the actions of the three that did nothing.

Hilda and Quigley are proving to Zelda more reasons why they shouldn't be near Sabrina. The very same reasons Diana gave to Zelda when she was forced to leave after Enchantra.

Zelda can still remember the last discussion she had with Diana face to face.

Flashback-Eight Years Ago

"Zelda, I want to ask you something." Diana said, her stuff already packed as she was near the front door. It was night, and Diana already tucked in Sabrina. Edward already left, and Hilda was off on another pointless date.

"Yes, Diana?" Zelda asked.

"I want you to be Sabrina's legal guardian." Diana said.

"W-What?" Zelda asked, shocked.

"I know I'm asking a lot. But Sabrina's gonna need someone who can allow her to be herself. And, well, we both know Hilda doesn't fit that bill." Diana said, holding Zelda's hands in hers. Not in a romantic way, but like sisters would.

"What about your uncle?" Zelda asked.

"Definitely not him. He won't be able to understand Sabrina. And I don't think he will. He'll try to get her to not rely on her magical side, claiming that it's something I would want. I want Sabrina to be happy, and I know you can provide it." Diana said.

"But-" Zelda began, about to point out how everything can go wrong with that plan.

"No buts. You're great with Sabrina, and she clearly trusts you as much as she trusts me, which is a lot. So, please promise me this, Zelda." Diana pleaded.

"...Okay, I will." Zelda said.

"Good. Also, if anything would happen to me, you're the one in charge of Sabrina, so you make the shots. Okay?" Diana asked.

"Okay. I promise I'll make sure Sabrina's happy." Zelda said.

"I know you will. See you someday." Diana said, hugging Zelda before leaving.

Present time

"Guess I failed every part of that, huh?" Zelda asked with a stray tear. Quigley moved in shortly after Diana left and took charge of everything. Hilda makes things worse by throwing Sabrina under the bus whenever the two use magic.

And now...now Zelda has no idea how to make Sabrina happy. Sabrina doesn't want to talk to her, and she doesn't blame her.

After all, would you go to your aunts while they're feuding? Not really.

However, Zelda remembered what Diana said. If anything happens to her, Zelda calls the shots when it comes to Sabrina.

Well, if Quigley and Hilda try to take control of the situation by telling Sabrina to be herself and then get mad at her for doing so again, or not even bothering to be concerned with Sabrina's emotions, Zelda will make the call alright. And it won't be pretty.
