Episode 170: Entei And Have Fun!
A few days came and went since Sora's Primeape had evolved into an Annihilape, and Kairi's Girafarig had evolved into a Farigiraf. They continued on their way towards Mahogany Town, but along the way, Tracey came across a wild Smeargle. He thought of having his own Smeargle to assist him as well as Venonat and Marill. He decided on using Marill against Smeargle. He steps out of hiding and he challenges Smeargle to a battle. He took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Marill!" His Pokéball opened and his Marill came right out to battle. Smeargle turned around and saw the Aqua Mouse Pokémon. "Use Aqua Tail!" Marill swings his tail at Smeargle, but the Painter Pokémon dodges and uses Sketch to copy Marill's Aqua Tail. Smeargle then comes at Marill with Aqua Tail. They clashed their tails, having a water duel. This keeps up until Smeargle gains the upper hand against the Aqua Mouse Pokémon. Smeargle comes at Marill, hoping to finish him off. "Use Water Gun!" Marill fired Water Gun, hitting Smeargle on the mark. Tracey took out a Pokéball and threw it. Smeargle flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. "I have my own Smeargle!"
"Great catch, Tracey," Sora said. Tracey smiled.
"Thanks, Sora," Tracey said.
After Tracey has made his successful capture, Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Tracey, Sakura, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and the Pichu continued on, and then they heard a roar close to them.
"Did you hear that?" Ash asked.
"I heard it," Tracey said.
"We all heard it," Sakura said.
"And it sounds very close," Sora said.
Everyone all looked around for the source of the roar, but Pikachu was the one who spots it.
"Pika!" Pikachu said, pointing to it. Everyone saw it was the legendary Pokémon Entei. And Entei was being attacked by a bunch of Golem and Rhydon.
"Entei!" Everyone all said at once.
"Those Golem and Rhydon are ganging up on it!" Ash said.
They all attacked with a Stone Edge, so Entei fights back with by unleashing Flamethrower at them, but a Rhyperior came and creates a rock which grows bigger and bigger. It threw the rock, hitting Entei hard.
"That Rhyperior just used Rock Wrecker!" Leaf said.
"And it looks like that Rhyperior is calling the shots," Tracey said.
Just then, several men riding on motorcycles came riding in.
"Great job, guys. Now to capture Entei and sell it to the highest bidder," the leader said.
"Highest bidder?" Sakura asked.
"That could only mean that they're all Pokémon Hunters," Kairi said.
"That explains why none of them was playing fair," Sora said.
"We can't let them do this to Entei," Ash said.
"Right. We gotta help it," Sora said, taking out two of his Pokéballs, same as Kairi. Sakura took two of hers out, too. "Bayleef, Feraligatr! Go!"
"Go for it, Sunflora and Corsola!" Kairi called out.
"Leafeon and Glaceon! I choose you!" Sakura called out.
Their Pokémon came right out to battle the Hunters' Pokémon.
"Feraligatr! Use Water Gun! Bayleef! Razor Leaf!" Sora ordered.
"Sunflora! Use Petal Blizzard! Corsola! Bubble Beam!" Kairi ordered.
"Leafeon! Razor Leaf! Glaceon! Ice Beam!" Sakura ordered.
Their Pokémon attacked the Rock and Ground-types. The Hunters all turned to see them interfering with their hunt.
"What the hell are you doing, getting in the way like that?" The leader asked.
"We should be asking that to you!" Kairi said.
"You Pokémon Hunters can't just go and poach a Pokémon whenever you want!" Sora said.
"We can and we will, kid! That Entei is ours by the rights of finders keepers! And you kids should just go drink some milk, eat some cookies, and get the hell lost!" The leader said.
"Not on your life!" Ash said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Charizard!" His Pokéball opened and his Charizard came right out. "Use Dragon Claw on Rhyperior!" Charizard slashed right on Rhyperior.
"We're not gonna take that laying down! Rhyperior! Use Rock Wrecker!" Rhyperior forms a another rock, and then threw it at the Flame Pokémon.
"Bayleef! Vine Whip!" Sora ordered. Bayleef extends her vines and smacked the rock, sending it back. "Alright, Feraligatr! Use Ice Fang!"
"Golem! Use Stone Edge!" The Hunters all ordered. The Golem all attacked with Stone Edge. The stones struck Charizard, Bayleef, and Feraligatr on the mark. Leaf took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Venusaur! Go!" Her Pokéball opened and her Venusaur came right out. "Use Petal Blizzard!" Venusaur attacks with Petal Blizzard, hitting the Golem hard.
"Rhydon! Use Megahorn!" The Hunters all ordered. The Rhydon came charging at Venusaur.
"Use Vine Whip!" Leaf ordered. Venusaur smacked the Rhydon with Vine Whip. Some more Rhydon lands a hit onto her.
"Corsola! Bubble Beam!" Kairi ordered. Corsola fired Bubble Beam at the Rhydon.
"Why you!" The leader growled.
"Use Flamethrower!" Ash ordered. Charizard fired Flamethrower right at the Rock and Ground-type Pokémon. Due to their rocky bodies, they resisted the flames. Sora took out a Fast Ball and threw it.
"Pineco! Go!" Sora called out. Pineco came right out. "Use Explosion!" Pineco explodes, creating a smokescreen. The smoke clears and the Hunters saw that the group and Volcano Pokémon were gone. The leader growled.
"Those kids won't get off that easily, and neither will Entei," the leader said.
Meanwhile, the group managed to get away as the large Pokémon have carried Entei as they made their escape from the Pokémon Hunters.
"That was a great idea, Sora," Tracey said.
"Yeah, but it won't be long until those guys comes after Entei again," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Pichu," the Shiny Pichu said.
"Pichu," the Spiky-eared Pichu said.
"He's right. They won't give up that easily," Leaf said.
"I just hope we don't draw in some more unwanted attention," Sora said.
And his hopes just went down the drain as Team Rocket spots them. James looks through the binoculars.
"Found the twerps again, and my eyes tells me that I see an Entei!" Meowth said.
"I think our eyes are telling us that, too! A legendary Pokémon will earn us big bucks from the boss when we bring it in!" Jessie said.
"We'll come a whole lot closer to bringing in a legendary Pokémon than Atilla and Hun ever did! Those stupid grunts will be respecting us after we bring it in!" James said.
"The boss will put me on his lap once again!" Meowth said. He laughed.
"The boss will be taking off our debts, and promote us to be his top executives!" Jessie said. Wobbuffet pops out again.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet said.
Meanwhile, Giovanni approached Ariana and Petrel as they were about to take off.
"Is everything ready for our plan in Lake Rage?" Giovanni asked.
"Yes, sir. We will make certain everything will go as planned," Ariana assured the Team Rocket boss.
"I just find it to be a pain that it only affects Magikarp," Petrel said.
"But it'll be worth it. A whole bunch of Gyarados would be better than nothing since Lake Rage was created by Gyarados," Ariana said.
"Giving it its name. After our other past failures, we cannot afford any mistakes. Just make certain nothing goes wrong," Giovanni said.
"You can count on us," Petrel said.
"Good," Giovanni said.
Ariana and Petrel boarded their helicopter and proceeds to head for Johto.
"I still can't believe those kids who sabotaged the Slowpoke Well plan are the same ones who ruined our plans back in Lavender Town, Celadon City, and Saffron City. How could have gone from the top only to be dropped like a ball," Petrel said.
"I can't either. But Giovanni is right; we can't afford any mishaps after our past failures. Especially after Proton's unfortunate failure," Ariana said.
"What if those kids show up and throws a Mankey wrench into our operations just like before?" Petrel asked.
"We were careless in those times. This time, we're ready for them. We will throw everything we got at those brats. Plus a little something extra we've been holding back," Ariana said. Petrel wasn't sure if they should use what she's talking about.
"Are you sure about using them? They're not exactly reliable. Even Archer doesn't think this is a good idea," Petrel said.
"I am not taking any chances," Ariana said.
Back in Johto, Entei was still injured from the injuries it received from Rhyperior, the Golem, and the Rhydon. Kairi took out some Hyper Potion to heal Entei.
"Here you go, Entei. Here's something to make you feel better," Kairi said. Entei just bats it out of her hand. "Please calm down."
"Entei must not understand that we're just trying to help it," Ash said.
"It must think we're trying to hurt Entei, just like those Hunters," Leaf said.
"After what those guys did to it, it's hard to blame it," Sora said. "I remember when Raikou was the same way when Atilla and Hun tried to catch it with that crystal of theirs."
(Flashback)
It was during the final battle with Attila and Hun.
Raikou fired a Thunder attack right at Team Rocket, but its attack gets drawn into the crystal once again. The group gasped when they saw the crystal was still active. The crystal fires the electricity right back at Raikou. It dodges its own attack.
"Guys! The crystal!" Riku gasped.
"What?!" Vincent exclaimed.
"You have got to be kidding!" Sora exclaimed.
"I thought that crystal was all busted up!" Lyra added.
"The crystal's control unit is busted. But, the crystal itself has officially switched to auto-destruct. Tell them what that means, Attila," Hun said.
"Its powers is twice as focused now," Attila told them.
The crystal starts flashing and sparkling.
"Now that the crystal is on auto-destruct, it will hone in on its target. And then, it will turn from purple to black," Hun concluded. The crystal turns completely black.
"What does he it mean when it turns black?" Ethan asked.
"I think we're about to find out," Lyra said.
"That's when the electric hook sinks into the target. That's the point of no return!" Attila stated. Raikou's electricity flows right into the blackened Miracle Crystal and starts to pull in Raikou itself.
"Raikou! You have to break away!" Sora said.
"Raikou can't break away from the crystal, than a planet can break away from its orbit around the sun. Raikou now belongs to the black crystal and there's nothing you can do to stop it. The more Raikou resists, the greater the crystal's pull. The less Raikou resists, the easier the capture becomes. Either way, it's game over!" Hun said.
Jessie, James, Meowth, and Wobbufet pop their heads out of the bushes and saw what is going on.
"Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Meowth asked.
"I think I do, Meowth. How about you, Jessie?" James asked.
"I don't know what's going on here, but I think we're winning!" Jessie cheered.
"For real?!" James exclaimed.
"For real!" Jessie also exclaimed.
"Yes, yes, YES!" Meowth cheered.
"Wobbu!" Wobbufet added.
"YES! Score one for the bad guys!" Jessie cheered. She laughs.
Raikou gets pulled in and levitates right above the crystal. Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Eusine, the Riku, and the Pokémon all gasps at the sight.
"When I'm legendary, I don't ever want to be caught and put on display like that striper. It'll be down right humiliating," Attila said.
"We don't have to worry about that, because we have science on our side!" Hun said. "We don't just rely on brute strength and wild instincts. That's why our legend will last forever!" Hun said.
"Not if we have anything to say about it!" Sora countered.
"And what say do you have?" Hun grinned evilly. "You can say that all of you were here when it all began. The legend of Attila and Hun was born!"
(Flashback ends)
"But we stopped them," Kairi said.
"Yeah. I thought Raikou just left until," Sora said.
(Flashback)
It was after the battle with Atilla and Hun, and destroying the Miracle Crystal.
It was now nighttime, so Eusine has taken his leave, but the rest of the group have fallen asleep, except for Sora and Pikachu. The both of them have stepped out into the night and looked up to the moon shining down on them.
"We had quite a day, Pikachu, didn't we?" Sora asked.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"I can't help but wonder what other nasty surprises they might in store," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
"Sora?" Kairi asked as she and Angel stepped out. He and Pikachu turned to see their significant others.
"Shouldn't you be sleeping?" Sora asked.
"I should be asking you that, Sora. You still thinking about everything that happened today?" Kairi asked.
"You always know what's know what's on my mind. Yeah, I'm still thinking about it. We managed to stop them in their tracks, and I just can't help but think about what other nasty plans those guys might have for everyone," Sora said.
"Are you worried about what might happen?" Kairi asked.
"I would be lying if I told you that I wasn't. Team Rocket have done a lot of nasty things throughout the years, and I'm worrying about what might happen if they go too far," Sora said.
"They're willing to cross as many lines, and they don't care who gets caught in the middle. And when they do get to that point, we'll stop them like before," Kairi assured her boyfriend. Sora smiled, knowing she was right. He placed his arm around her shoulder.
"Yeah, we will," Sora said. The couple heard a familiar roar and they turned to see Raikou in front of them. "Raikou?" The Thunder Pokémon approached Sora and nuzzled him. "Raikou?" Pikachu understood what it was saying.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said, gesturing to his Pokéballs. Sora took one of his occupied Pokéballs and he understood his partner.
"I get it. You want to be my Pokémon, don't you?" Sora asked. Raikou nodded. "Why?"
"Maybe because Raikou saw what was in your heart. And it wants to show you how grateful it is by joining you as part of the team," Kairi said. Sora looked at Raikou.
"Are you sure, Raikou?" Sora asked. Raikou nodded.
"Alright," Sora said, taking out an Ultra Ball and threw it in the air. Raikou jumped and the button tapped onto Raikou, making it flow inside. The Ultra Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Ultra Ball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Raikou. He chose to keep Raikou in exchange for Ursaluna. "I just caught a Raikou."
"Yes, you did. Raikou made its choice by joining you," Kairi said.
"Everybody's gonna be really surprised when they see Raikou joining us," Sora said.
"You're right," Kairi agreed. "But I think it's going have to wait until morning to spread the news."
"Yeah, we should go back to sleep anyway," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
(Flashback ends)
"But I don't think Entei would think the same thing that easily," Ash said.
"Yeah. But we'll have to prove it by letting Entei go as soon as it's healed," Sora said.
A net appeared from out of nowhere and traps Entei in it.
"Entei!" Tracey exclaimed.
"It's those Hunters again!" Sakura said.
"No, it could only be-" Sora said as he hears familiar laughter.
"Prepare for trouble, you are right on the mark!" Jessie said.
"Make it double, it's a walk in the park!" James said with a rhyme.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!"
"Wobbuffet!"
"Mime, Mime!"
"Knew it! It's Team Rocket!" Sora said.
"Who did you think it was gonna be? Lilo and Stitch?" Jessie asked.
"And thanks for leading us to Entei, twerps!" James said.
"Now we just gotta reel it in!" Meowth said, pushing a button, bringing Entei up.
"No, you don't! Bayleef! Razor Leaf!" Sora ordered. Bayleef fired Razor Leaf and cuts the net, letting Entei out. They screamed in horror, seeing their catch escape. "Nice try, morons!"
"You little do-gooder!" James hissed.
"You're gonna pay for that!" Meowth said. Jessie and James each took out a Pokéball and threw them.
"Arbok! I choose you!" Jessie called out.
"Go right in, Victreebel!" James called out. Arbok and Victreebel both came out, but Victreebel chomps on James's head again. "Must we do this every time?!"
"Arbok! Use Poison Sting!" Jessie ordered. Arbok fired Poison Sting at Bayleef. The poison barbs were coming fast.
"Pineco! Get in front of Bayleef and use Protect!" Sora ordered. Pineco gets in front of Bayleef and forms a protective barrier around them. Arbok's Poison Sting bounces right off.
"Victreebel! Use Vine Whip!" James ordered. Victreebel used his vine and grabs Pineco with it. Victreebel lifts up Pineco and slams him down. "Use Leaf Blade!" Victreebel came right at Pineco.
"Pineco!" Sora exclaimed. Pineco started to evolve, much to everyone's surprise. Pineco has become a large, spherical insectoid Pokémon with no visible limbs. The upper and lower halves of its body are capped by bumpy steel plates, giving it a strong defense against opponents. The outer plates have zigzagging ridges that open along its back and front, revealing its smooth, red inner shell. The inner shell is punctuated by four cylindrical spikes, each tapering to an open point. Between the spikes, the inner shell opens along a straight line to reveal its eyes, which are round with large pupils. Whatever else lies inside its shell is unknown.
"Pineco!" Sora said.
"Pineco just became a Forretress!" Tracey said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned him.

Forretress conceals itself inside its hardened steel shell. The shell is opened when the Pokémon is catching prey, but it does so at such a quick pace that the shell's inside cannot be seen.
Sora puts his Pokédex away.
"Okay, Forretress! Use Rapid Spin!" Sora ordered. Forretress spins around and rams right into Victreebel.
"Arbok! Poison Sting!" Jessie ordered. Arbok fired Poison Sting, but thanks to Forretress's steel body, the poison does nothing to him. "Ugh, I should have known Poison-type moves does zip to Steel-type Pokémon."
"Okay, Forretress! Use Explosion!" Sora ordered. Forretress's body gave off a a white glow and then explodes, sending Team Rocket and their Pokémon straight into the air.
"No promotion for us," James said.
"And no boss's lap for me," Meowth said.
"And no legendary Pokémon for us," Jessie said.
"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket shouted as they go flying into the air. A star twinkles in the distance.
"That takes care of them," Sora said. Entei was amazed by what it saw. Sora was protecting Entei from Team Rocket after they tried to capture it.
"Let's hope Entei stays safe this time," Leaf said.
"Rock Wrecker!" A voice shouted. Rhyperior came and hurls a rock at the group, surprising them. The Pokémon Hunters have found them at last. "Did you little punks think you could outrun us?"
"They must saw the smoke from our battle with Team Rocket," Tracey said.
"That would be a very good guess, Tracey," Sora said. Sora stepped in front of Entei and raised his arms up. "You're not gonna get Entei!"
"Well, that's not for you to decide, kid! It's for us to decide! Is that right, guys?" The leader asked.
"Yeah!" All the Pokémon Hunters said.
"One way or the other, we're getting that Pokémon and we're selling it for big money! And you're not gonna stop us!" The leader said.
"We're gonna see about that!" Sora said as Pikachu, Forretress, Bayleef and Feraligatr got in front of Sora as they agreed with their Trainer.
"The only way to get to Entei is through us," Kairi said. Angel, Sunflora, and Corsola got in front of her.
"Bring it on! All of you! Send out all the Pokémon you want! We'll crush them like newly layed eggs!" The leader said. He turned to his crew. "Give them the works, boys!"
"Golem! Rhydon! Stone Edge!" The Hunters all ordered. The Golem and Rhydon all attacked with a Stone Edge and the rocks came right at them. Everyone all dodged, but Sora stayed with Entei.
"I won't let them take you, Entei! I promise!" Sora said.
"Rhyperior! Knock that kid out of the way!" The leader said. Rhyperior tried to grab Sora, but Feraligatr stopped the Drill Pokémon in his tracks.
"Use Ice Fang!" Sora ordered. Feraligatr lands an icy bite onto Rhyperior, doing some damage. "Okay, Bayleef! Use Vine Whip!" Bayleef gave Rhyperior a smack of her vines.
"You are such a pain in the ass, ya little punk!" The leader said.
"I have an act for being that way to the bad guys! Ask any one of them," Sora said.
Over to Kairi...
"Use Bubble Beam!" Kairi ordered. Corsola fired Bubble Beam, hitting one of the Golem. "Use Razor Leaf!" Sunflora unleashed Razor Leaf and hits all of the Rhydon.
"Get that girl!" One of the Hunters shouted. All of the Pokémon Hunters started to come at her.
"Use Solar Beam!" Kairi ordered. Sunflora started to take in sunlight for power. Once Sunflora had enough, she fired Solar Beam, hitting all of the Rock and Ground-type Pokémon on the mark. They were all knocked out. "Great job, Sunflora!"
"Sunflora, flora!" Sunflora said.
Back with Sora...
"You're not gonna stop me from getting what I want! And what I want is the money that's worth with Entei!" The leader said.
"In your dreams!" Sora said.
"Rhyperior! Use Mega Punch!" The leader ordered. Rhyperior lifts its fist up to land a punch.
"Feraligatr! Use Dragon Claw!" Sora ordered. Feraligatr gave Rhyperior a slash with Dragon Claw. "Use Water Gun!" Feraligatr took in a deep breath and fired a much more powerful water attack than Water Gun. "Hey, that was Hydro Pump!"
"Rhyperior!" The leader gasped. He looked at Sora with an enraged expression. "I'm going to teach you some respect, punk!" The leader took out two more Pokéballs and threw them. "Go! Onix! Steelix!" Onix and Steelix both came out to battle Sora and his Pokémon. "Steelix! Use Fire Fang on Bayleef! Onix! Use Double-Edge on Feraligatr!" Onix and Steelix charged right at his Pokémon. Before Sora could say anything, Entei stepped in and attacked Steelix with a Flamethrower, hitting it on the mark. Entei then sets its attention on Onix. Entei unleashed a Sacred Fire onto Onix, engulfing the Rock Snake Pokémon in searing flames.
"Sacred Fire," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Wha. That's not how it was supposed to go down," the leader said. Entei pounced on him and growled. "Please, don't hurt me."
"You give up?" Sora asked.
"I give! I give! I give!" The leader pleaded.
Not too long, Officer Jenny came along and arrested the Pokémon Hunters for their crimes.
"Thank you for all you've done," Officer Jenny said, doing a salute. "I'll make sure that they'll be locked up for their crimes."
"Hopefully for like a thousand years," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
Officer Jenny took off with her prisoners and their Pokémon, so everyone turned to face Entei.
"You're safe now, Entei. Those guys won't bother you again," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said. Entei gave a small roar just when they were about to take off.
"I think Entei wants to be with us," Kairi said.
"You sure?" Sora asked.
"I think it understands that not all humans are the same, so it wants to be one of your Pokémon," Ash said.
"I guess you're right," Sora said, taking out an Ultra Ball. "Welcome aboard, Entei." He threw it at Entei, and it flows inside. The Ultra Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Ultra Ball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Entei with him. He chose to keep Entei in exchange for Forretress. "Got myself an Entei."
"Pi, Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Sora has added Entei to his team, and the journey through the Johto region continues on.
