Episode 173: The Voice of the Forest Part 2
After defeating the Iron-Masked Marauder's Pokémon, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Tracey, Sakura, Sam, and the Pokémon head even deeper in the forest.
"Maybe, but we gotta find a way out," Sora said.
"And away from that masked guy," Ash said.
A fog started to roll in.
"Well, this is unexpected," Tracey said.
"It's thick as pea soup," Sakura said.
"At least I can see my own hand," Ethan said.
"Me too," Leaf said.
The fog began to grow thicker.
"Care to rephrase that, Ethan?" Lyra asked.
"Marill," Marill said.
"Which way do we go?" Leaf asked.
"Let's just forward," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"He's right. We better keep moving forward. If we stop now, we might be too late," Ash said.
"Right," Sora said. He took Kairi by the hand. "Just so we don't get lost."
"How right you are," Kairi said.
"Hold on tight, Naminé," Riku said.
"I will," Naminé said.
"Azu," Azurill said.
Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Marill soon spots something ahead
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
Everyone looks and sees an Ursaring approach.
"It's an Ursaring," Sam said.
Soon, a Teddiursa comes out before the Ursaring motions for them to follow it and Teddiursa.
"What are they doing?" Kairi asked.
"I think they're telling us to follow them," Kris said.
"But where are they leading us?" Sakura asked.
"We're gonna have to follow and find out," Ethan said.
Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Marill, and the Pichu ran ahead. Sora looked at Sam.
"Should we?" Sora asked.
"Yeah," Sam replied.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Tracey, Sakura, Sam, and the Pokémon follow both bear Pokémon. Soon, they come across a Stantler, who allows them to proceed forward and follow it while the Ursaring and Teddiursa stay behind. A little further on, they come upon a Furret, and they follow it while the Stantler remains. At last, they reach their destination, a large lake.
"This has got to be it. This has to be the Lake of Life Diana's grandmother was telling us about," Tracey said.
"That must be why those Pokémon wanted us to follow them," Ash said.
Sam notices Celebi moving, so he heads out into the lake with Celbi in hand. And as Sam sits and wades with Celebi, they notice something.
"Hey, Sam, look!" Sora said.
Everyone looks and sees the Pokémon of the forest gathered around the lake as the fog clears. Soon, Celebi enters the lake itself. After some time underwater, Celebi glows as it uses Recover and once the glow subsides a bit, Celebi starts swimming around.
"Look, guys! Celebi's swimming!" Naminé said.
"And it's glowing!" Ethan said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"No wonder they call it the Lake of Life! It brought Celebi to life!" Riku said.
"Eevee!" Eevee said.
Celebi goes further out on the lake while Sam returns to the shore before it takes to the air and the glowing stops.
"Celebi!" Sam said.
"Alright!" Sora said.
Celebi start flying around the group very playfully. Celebi then splashes Sora and Sam.
"Alright, then..." Sora said as he takes off backpack "Let's do it!" He leaps into the water.
"Yeah! Sam said as he puts down his backpack and dives in.
Celebi soon follows after and the three boys marvel at the many Pokemon living beneath the lake before running out of air. But as they head to the surface, Celebi uses its powers to make the boys fly before they fly towards and up past the rest of our heroes while Naminé rests her legs and feet in the water. Celebi then comes down and taps Naminé's twisted knee, healing it instantly.
"Hey! My knee's better! Thanks, Celebi!" Naminé said.
Celebi rejoins the boys as they fly near the forest Pokémon.
"Hi!" Sam greeted.
"Hey, everybody!" Sora said.
Celebi and the boys head higher and go past the tree tops.
"This is great!" Sam said.
Sora soon sees Arborville in the distance.
"There's the village over there!" Sora said.
Celebi brings them back on the ground on spotted some Jumpluff drift along, Celebi leads the group to a berry tree. It wasn't wasn't like any of the berries they came across before, so Celebi eats one, absolutely loving them. Sora soon tries one.
"You should try these! These are pretty tasty," Sora said.
"Yeah?" Sam asked. Sora hands one to Sam and to Pikachu. Sam takes a bite. "You're right."
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
Sora reaches some for the Pichu.
"And for you guys, too. Here," Sora said, handing the berries. Both Pichu eats one and loved them instantly.
It wasn't long until the rest of the group started to eat some of the red berries.
"Hey, these are pretty sweet," Kairi said. She feeds one to Angel.
"Here, buddy," Riku said as he fed one to Eevee and Naminé fed one to Azurill.
"How about we save some for later?" Sora asked. Pikachu liked the idea.
"Pika," Pikachu agreed.
"These are good ones!" Sora said.
"Have some, Celebi," Sam offered.
Celebi happily flies around after having some more.
Meanwhile, Iron Mask-Marauder and Team Rocket continued their pursuit of Celebi.
"Don't you worry. We'll find Celebi," Marauder said. Team Rocket were getting hungry.
"I would rather find some lunch," Jessie said.
"So would I," James said.
"Or a bathroom," Meowth said.
What caught their eyes is a peach tree, filled with some sweet and delicious peaches. Their faces lit up.
"Lucky us!" James said.
"It's a peach tree!" Jessie said. They all soon eye the biggest peach on the tree. James holds Meowth to pull him back in. "Grab that big one, Meowth!"
"You got it, Jessie!" Meowth said. James pulls Meowth back, he and Meowth slip off the mecha, so Jessie grabbed James, only to slip off herself. All three of them all fell off. After hitting the ground Jessie, James, and Meowth then heads for the peach and fights over it. Their squabble threw the peach up and a Pidgeotto catches it, while it was passing by. They watched the Pidgeotto fly off with the peach.
"Nice catch," James said.
"It was peachy," Jessie said. Team Rocket looked on ahead to see the mecha going further ahead of them. "There goes our driver!" They started to run after him.
"Wait! Don't leave us here!" Meowth said.
"We'll even chip in for gas!" James added.
That night, everyone is settled down for the night while Sam sketches Pikachu, Angel, and Celebi sleeping together just as Sora wakes up.
"Sam, it's the middle of the night," Sora said.
"I know, but I can't sleep," Sam said as keeps drawing.
"You got quite a talent," Sora said.
"Thanks. When I meet a new Pokémon, I sketch em in this book," Sam said.
"Mind if I have a look?" Sora asked. Sam hands Sora his sketchbook. Sora looks through the book and is amazed at the drawings. "Wow. These are amazing. This is like a handmade Pokédex. That's this machine that has pictures of Pokemon. And they tell you the info about the Pokémon. That's what Riku used earlier," Sora said.
"I guess you and your friends know a lot about the future, huh, Sora? At least, more than I do," Sam said.
"Yeah, I guess so. But I'm sure glad I'm not stuck in it like you are," Sora said. Herealizes he may have accidentally hurt Sam's feelings "Oops! Sorry." Sam gets up and walks away as Sora follows. "Hey. I didn't mean to make you feel bad, Sam. Honest, I didn't."
"That's okay. I think I'll like living in the future, but it'll take some getting used to," Sam said.
"Yeah, probably," Sora said.
"But then I think about my mother worrying about me and wondering where I am. And I wonder if she still wonders," Sam said sadly. Sora knew how he felt. Sora knew how worried she was when he turned into a Heartless when he sacrificed himself for Kairi.
"I know what you mean, Sam," Sora said.
"Hey, what about your mom, Sora? I bet she worries about you when you're on your Pokémon journey," Sam said. Sora sighed.
"Yeah, she worries, and so does my sister. And so does Kairi. She worries about me nonstop, and she said it's gonna get worse. All I gotta do is grin and bear it. Guess that's what moms, sisters, and girlfriends do," Sora said. Sam smiled at that. Sam noticed Sora's necklace.
"Sora, your necklace. Could that mean you're descended from knights?" Sam asked. Sora was surprised to hear Sam ask him that question.
"How do you know, Sam?" Sora asked.
"I know someone with a necklace like that. The boys of the family always wore one of those," Sam said.
"That's exactly right," Sora said. He wondered if it meant Sam met a relative of his, but he didn't want to risk changing any period of time.
"Did your dad give that to you, Sora?" Sam asked.
"My mom did. I had it for as long I can remember. It was after my dad died," Sora said. Sam felt sorry for him.
"Sorry to hear that, Sora," Sam said.
"It was before me and my sister were born. And in case you're wondering, we're twins," Sora said.
"First time I met one twin and not the other," Sam said.
His stomach started to growl. He chuckled nervously.
"Suddenly, I feel very hungry. And I thought those berries from earlier filled me up," Sora said.
"Hey, I have something," Sam said as he heads to his backpack and gets out his loaf of bread. "Diana's grandmother made this, but that was about forty years ago." Sam splits the loaf so he and Sora can share it.
"Still looks pretty fresh, though," Sora said as he takes the half offered to him. They each take a bite. "Tasty."
"Tastes like it was made yesterday," Sam said.
Pikachu then wakes up and senses something, and Celebi soon wakes up and follows him along with the boys.
"What's the matter, Pikachu?" Sora asked.
"Hey, Sora. Look," Sam said.
He looks and see Metapod glowing and head in for a closer look as the Metapod all evolve into Butterfree.
"Oh, cool," Sora said. The boys watch in awe as the Butterfree fly away.
"Look at all the Butterfree," Sam said.
"I hope you'll be free, Sam. I mean, to go back in time," Sora said.
Both boys looks to each other and nod as the sun starts to rise before Celebi flies ahead.
"Wait for me," Sam said. Celebi heads up to a tree and the boys quickly follow and climb higher to get a view. "Oh, cool!"
The boys sit and watch both the Buttefree flying away and the sun rising.
On the very next morning, they make their way back to Arborville and in front of the shrine.
"Arborville is just up ahead," Sora said.
The group follow Celebi as it flies ahead, but suddenly, a claw comes out and attempts to grab Celebi, though Celebi evades it in time as everyone come to a stop.
"Thought you'd gotten rid of us, didn't you, twerps?" Jessie asked.
Everyone turns and sees Team Rocket standing behind them with nets in hand.
"But Team Rocket doesn't give up so easily!" James said.
"Would you morons get out of here for once?" Sora asked.
"I don't think it's them we need to worry about, Sora," Riku said. The Marauder comes in and blocks them off.
"Him again?!" Ethan exclaimed.
"He's gotta be back for Celebi!" Tracey said.
"Alright, we ain't leaving without that Celebi!" Meowth said.
"Go ahead and try it!" Sakura said.
"You three will only fail miserably!" Lyra said.
"But I'll succeed triumphly," Marauder said.
"That's what you think! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu tries to shock the Marauder, but a forcefield blocks the attack.
"Nice try," Marauder taunted. Sora growled. "I intend to get that Celebi, and that's what I intend to do!"
One of the claws of the Marauder's mecha topples a tree that falls toward Team Rocket, though they get out of the way just in time while the other claw topples another tree and grabs Celebi.
"Celebi!" Sam gasped.
"This oughta calm you down," Marauder said.
The Marauder sends an electrical current through the claw, shocking Celebi.
"Hey!" Sora yelled.
"Stop it! You leave Celebi alone!" Kairi exclaimed.
But before Sora, Kairi, and Sam can get close, another tree falls down in front of them. The claw holding Celebi soon tosses the unconscious Pokémon up, allowing the Marauder to bring out a Dark Ball. He threw the Dark Ball at Celebi. Everyone all watched in shock and horror as the Iron Masked Marauder captures Celebi.
"Celebi, is mine," Marauder said.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?!" Riku yelled.
"What you just witnessed was a Pokémon being caught by a Dark Ball. As you just witnessed, like my Tyranitar, Scizor and Sneasel, a Dark Ball can raise a Pokémon's power level to the highest point. And it turns the captured Pokémon completely evil," Marauder explained. Everyone all gasped with utter horror.
"Monster!" Kairi exclaimed.
"Eevee!" Angel agreed.
"Let Celebi go!" Sora demanded.
"I am not even going to waste my Pokémon's energy on you this time. How about you deal with these instead?" Marauder asked, snapping his fingers.
Several Heartless appeared. They consisted of Neoshadows, Wizards, Defenders, Darkballs, Angel Stars, Invisibles, Wyverns, Silver Dragons, Emblem Seahorses, Cyclodactyls, Octoshells, Uni-Walruses, Wreckadillos, and Mandipedes. Sam became terrified of the Heartless when he saw them.
"What are they?" Sam asked, scared.
"Heartless!" Sora said, summoning his Kingdom Key. Kairi, Riku, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra summoned their Keyblades.
"So, you know about the Heartless, don't you? Well, you're fortunate enough to become their prey," Marauder said.
"Take them down!" Riku said. A Dark Ball rushes at Riku before he struck it down. The Wizards all cast a blizzard spell at them, but Kairi casts her reflect spell to block it.
"Is Kairi using magic? I didn't think there was such a thing," Sam said.
"I don't think we have time to explain it, Sam," Sakura said.
"She's right. We should be more concerned about the Heartless," Tracey said.
Several Defenders spews fire at the Keyblade wielders. Riku summoned his Soul Eater and held both weapons. The Neoshadows attempts to slash at him, but Ethan slashed at them.
"Thanks, Ethan," Riku said.
"Anytime," Ethan said.
"They're still coming!" Kris said.
"Take them all out!" Ash said as he slashed through an Emblem Seahorse.
"Heartless! Why did it have to be Heartless?" Jessie asked.
"He doesn't even realize that they're gonna eventually turn on him," Meowth said.
"Or he might sic them on us," James said.
Kris casts a water spell and washes several Wreckadillos in it.
Several Octoshells came for Leaf, but she casts an aero spell and blew them away. An Angel Star creates a tornado-like spell at her, but Ash gets to her. Ash and Leaf slashes at the Angel Star.
Neoshadows emerged from the darkness.
Sora summoned the Oathkeeper and slashed some of the Invisibles and Angel Stars. Sora then sets his attention onto Marauder and jumps up to him.
Unphased by the Keyblades, Marauder just pushed him off.
"Stupid kid," Marauder scoffed. Multiple Pidgey attack the Marauder, allowing Sora to leap and grab the Marauder. During the struggle, the Marauder activates the legs of his mecha. As the mecha fumbles around, Sora dismissed the Oathkeeper and grabs the Dark Ball before the whole robot comes tumbling down and Sora is flung out.
The Heartless quickly surrounds him.
"Get out of the way!" Sora yelled, swinging his Keyblade at the Heartless. He destroys a few of them, but Marauder elbows Sora in the chest, making him land on his stomach. He holds the Darkball in his He comes in and steps on his hand.
"I think that Dark Ball, belongs to me," Marauder said.
"Leave him alone!" Kairi said, heading right for him, but she's stopped by a Silver Dragon, spewing fire at her.
Sora holds on to the Dark Ball for dear life, but ends up passing out from the pain, allowing the Marauder to take the Dark Ball back.
"Sora!" Sam exclaimed.
"Pika, Pi!" Pikachu exclaimed.
"Sora!" Kairi yelled. She held up her Keyblade and casts her Faith spell, destroying the remaining Heartless.
Everyone all shielded their eyes to keep out the light. Marauder's eyes were protected by his mask.
"I wasn't expecting that you would have power of light. But I still have plenty of Heartless to spare," Marauder said. All the forest Pokémon surround the Marauder. "Don't waste your time. It's too late to save your friend, Celebi." He grinned wickedly. "Because the sweet little Pokémon you used to know doesn't exist anymore! Here, see for yourselves!" From the Dark Ball, Celebi emerged from inside, now under the complete control of the Marauder as he chuckles. "Celebi, get rid of them all!" Using its increased power, Celebi blasts away all of the Pokémon.
"This is horrible!" Naminé said.
"This guy doesn't care who he hurts!" Ash growled.
Celebi continues to chase off the Pokemon and knocks down trees as Team Rocket watches in confusion and fear.
"I don't understand," Jessie said.
"If Celebi's their friend, I'd hate to see their enemies," Meowth said.
Marauder was very impressed by Celebi's powers and he wanted to see more.
"Excellent. You're very strong, Celebi. Now, show me even more of your power!" Marauder said. Celebi uses its increased power to draw a whole bunch of forest debris and leaf litter towards it as the Marauder laughs. "With a Pokémon like you, no one will ever stop me!"
"Celebi!" Sam tried to call out.
As Celebi continues to draw forth more forest debris and leaf litter, Team Rocket watches on.
"Celebi's, building a nasty nest!" James said.
Jessie is soon being pulled in.
"Oh no!" Jessie gasped.
Jessie tries to hold on to a branch, but it breaks and she gets pulled in, too. Meanwhile, in Arborville, Diana and Towa spot what's happening.
"What is that?" Diana asked.
"I don't know," Towa answered.
"Grandma?" Diana asked, looking at her.
"We better go find out," Towa said.
"Right," Diana agreed.
Sora then regained conscious and groans as he wakes up.
"Where's Celebi?" Sora asked.
"Gone. That guy took off with Celebi after he sent it after the forest Pokémon," Sam said.
"No," Sora said, trying to stand up. His injury kicked in. "Ouch!"
"Here, Sora," Kairi said, casting her cure spell, healing his injuries.
"Much better," Sora said. He looked around and saw the destruction. "Can't say the same for the forest." Sora clutched his fist.
They soon hear something and see Mr. White's boat overhead with Diana and Towa aboard.
"Hey!" Mr. White called from above.
"Hi, guys! Just stay right where you are!" Diana called out.
"We're coming down to get you!" Towa said.
"Good timing!" Ash said.
"I can't believe they found us!" Leaf said.
James and Meowth look up in astonishment. Meanwhile, up on a mountain, Suicune senses the disturbance in nature and heads down to the forest to correct it. Back with the group, they're following Celebi's trail of destruction they explained what happened.
"This is awful!" Diana said.
"Forcing the spirit of the forest to destroy the forest. This is just despicable," Towa said.
"And unforgivable," Kris added.
"He's not going to get away with this," Leaf said.
"No, he won't," Lyra agreed.
"Marill," Marill said.
Meanwhile, James and Meowth hang on to a rope under the boat.
"Do you think Jessie's going to be alright?" James asked with concern.
"Yeah, but I ain't so sure about Celebi," Meowth said.
Meanwhile, the giant spiked nest that Celebi formed plows through the forest as the Marauder watches from the helm and laughs as the Pokémon flee. As for Jessie, she's seen to be tied up.
"Excused me, Mr. Masked Person, but could you let me out of here?!" Jessie requested.
"Not yet. I need a witness who can report back to Giovanni. I want the head of Team Rocket to know just how powerful Celebi is, and how powerful I am, too. Celebi! The time has come," Marauder said.
Celebi soon brings the nest to a stop and morphs it into a large monster before proceeding to fire a blast that reaches all the way to the Lake of Life, creating an explosion that our heroes can see.
"What was that?!" Ethan exclaimed.
"It had to hit the Lake of Life!" Sakura said.
"She's right. It has to be it!" Naminé said.
"I'm very impressed, you and Celebi are extremely powerful! Now just get me down from here and I'll recommend you for a big promotion when you give Celebi to the boss!" Jessie said. Marauder just laughed, leaving Jessie confused.
"I control the most powerful Pokémon in the world! Why would I want to give something that valuable to the boss?" Marauder asked.
"What do you mean?" Jessie asked.
"Now the boss has to be afraid of me, because Celebi gives me the power to destroy him! With Celebi, I can rule Team Rocket! And the whole world if I want to!" Marauder shouted to the heavens as he laughed evilly. This laughter echoes throughout the entire forest.
Mr. White's boat eventually caught up with the wood monster.
"What is that?" Towa asked.
"The evil Celebi must've created it!" Tracey said.
"This won't stand!" Riku said.
"Celebi!" Sora called out.
"Pika!" Pikachu added.
Marauder spots them.
"You again. Celebi, get rid of them, now!" Marauder ordered.
Celebi charges another attack.
"No!" Ash gasped.
"Hold on!" Mr. White said. Mr. White takes evasive action, but the attack fires and destroys one of the balloons, causing the boat to land in the lake before the monster fires another blast, causing the boat to wash up on some cliffs. "Is everybody okay?"
"I'm fine," Ash said.
"A bit shaken, but I'm okay," Kris said.
"I'm still alive," Tracey said.
"For a moment, I thought my life flashed before my eyes," Leaf said.
"I'm alright," Kairi said.
"I'm good," Sakura said.
"I'm not dead," Riku said.
"Neither am I," Naminé said.
"Me, too," Sam said.
"So am I," Sora said.
"We're all okay," Ethan said.
Towa slowly gets up as she groaned.
"Grandma!" Diana said, helping her up.
"I'm alive, too, but just barely," Towa said. She looks at the wood monster. "We have to stop that horrible thing."
Not too far, James and Meowth reach the shore.
"We're no match for that big twig monster," Monster.
"I know. Poor Jessie," James said.
Sora and Sam head right up to the twig monster, standing in its path.
"Alright, Pikachu, try a Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fires his Thunderbolt, but Iron Mask just hops onto a nearby tree branch, but the attack itself proves ineffective.
"You are starting to become annoying. Celebi, get rid of these children," Marauder said. The monster approaches both boys and prepares to fire another attack. "Celebi, do it now!"
Just as the attack is about to fire, Suicune rushes in and save Ash, Sam and Pikachu's lives and the rest of the group can't believe it.
"The North Wind! The North Wind saved them!" Towa said.
"Suicune!" Mr. White said.
Riku took out his Pokédex and scanned it.
Suicune, the Aurora Pokémon
Type: Water
It races around the world to purify fouled water. It dashes away with the north wind.
"Hence the name," Riku said, putting his Pokédex away.
Suicune keeps running and leaps onto the tree branch the Marauder is standing on, breaking it and causing him to jump off.
"You came here to help us, didn't you?" Sora asked. Suicune nods. "Then we need you to take us to Celebi, right away."
Suicune agrees as the Marauder brings out a Dark Ball.
"Now's my chance to capture a Suicune, too!" Marauder said as he threw it. Tyranitar came right out. "Tyranitar, Hyper Beam!" Tyranitar charges the attack. Riku wasn't having it.
"Oh no, you don't! Not this time!" Riku said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Steelix! Go!" His Pokéball opened and Steelix emerged from inside. Tracey took out his Heavy Ball.
"I'm with you! Go! Snorlax!" Tracey called out. Snorlax joins in. "Snorlax! Use High Horsepower!" Snorlax charges at Tyranitar and tackles Tyranitar and fired Hyper Beam the other way.
"Nice one, Tracey! Steelix! Use Iron Head!" Riku ordered. Steelix gave Tyranitar a metallic headbutt, but Tyranitar pushes Steelix back.
Snorlax grabs Tyranitar, but the Armor Pokémon gave the Sleeping a throw. He gets back up.
While Tyranitar is distracted, the Aurora Pokémon leaps up to the shoulder of the monster and spots Celebi inside.
"Celebi!" Sam said.
"Celebi!" Sora called out.
Celebi turns towards them and manages to shake them off, forcing them to land on the shore of the lake as Snorlax goes down. Steelix heads for Tyranitar, but it takes the Iron Snake Pokémon down. Tyranitar fires another Hyper Beam, but it hits the lake instead as Tyranitar takes down Steelix again. Tyranitar charges at Suicune, but Suicune fires a super powerful Bubble Beam that knocks it out. Steelix gives Tyranitar one swing of its tail, sending Tyranitar flying. The Armor Pokémon makes a splash in the water. Snorlax and Steelix fell on the ground, exhausted.
"Great job, Steelix. Get some rest," Riku said, calling Steelix back.
"You too, Snorlax," Tracey said. Marauder chuckled.
"Play time is over, children. Get them, Celebi," Marauder said. The twig monster moves towards them.
"Be careful! This thing could destroy the whole forest!" Diana said.
"And the Pokémon," Towa added.
"That's not gonna happen! Suicune!" Sora said.
Suicune fires another Bubble Beam in the face of the monster. The monster retaliates, but Suicune runs up the tendril that tried to strike it, but the monster uses vines to grab Suicune.
"Good job. Now teach em a lesson!" Marauder said. Celebi starts draining Suicune's own power. Marauder laughs. "That's what happens to anyone who tries to stop me!"
Sora, Pikachu, and Sam fall off of Suicune's back while Sora and Sam are saved by Jessie.
"You have to be careful! Celebi's just above us," Jessie said.
"Thanks a lot," Sam said.
"Don't move," Sora said, summoning his Kingdom Key. He uses it to cut Jessie free. She fell down below, screaming. Luckily for her, James catches her.
"I got you!" James said. Jessie looked at him, amazed.
"James?" Jessie asked.
"Are you okay?" James asked.
"Fine. I'm fine," Jessie answered. She hugged him tightly. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" James's face started to turn blue, due to lack of oxygen.
"Jessie. Can't breathe," James wheezed.
Back with Sora, Pikachu, and Sam, sees Celebi inside.
"Celebi, you have to stop!" Sora said.
"You're supposed to protect the forest! Not destroy it!" Sam said.
"Fight it, Celebi!" Sora said.
Celebi briefly snaps out of its trance and fights for control as Sora and Sam climb up to it.
"What are you waiting for, Celebi?! They're your enemies!" Marauder yelled.
Celebi resumes draining Suicune's power while stinging Sora and Sam in the process.
"Celebi! We're not your enemies! We're trying to save you!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
Celebi started to remember when it was swimming with Sora and Sam in the lake and tries again to regain control.
"Try to remember!" Sora said.
"Celebi! You brought me with you here to the future!" Sam said.
Outside, Marauder growled as a dark aura quickly surrounds him.
"Celebi, kill them! Kill them both!" Marauder roared.
The two boys keep climbing up as the monster moves forward again.
"Where's it going?" Towa asked.
Riku soon notice the Pokémon of the forest calling out to Celebi as the monster moves onto the lake with the three boys still trying to get to their targets.
"Celebi, it's me. Don't you remember?" Sam asked.
Celebi remembers when it and its friends ate berries together, but its still not enough to break the Marauder's control. So the two boys reach in and grab Celebi.
"Look at me! I know your heart is strong enough to break the darkness that took you over! Let the light within you shine!" Sora said. Celebi tries to break Marauder's hold over it. "Snap out of it!"
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"Celebi, don't help that hunter, fight him!" Sam pleaded. The dark energy from the Dark Ball continues to spark. "I won't give up."
Outside, the monster starts falling into the lake as Celebi remembers the Butterfree it, Ash and Sam saw. Soon, Celebi gains enough control to let Suicune go as it dives into the lake while the Marauder realizes the Dark Ball that held Celebi is malfunctioning.
"What's going on?!" Marauder exclaimed.
Celebi regains control completely.
"Celebi!" Sam said as his face lit up.
"Pika!" Pikachu said with glee.
"I knew you could do it," Sora said.
"Oh, no! No!" The Dark Ball self-destructs, freeing Celebi completely while the wood monster collapses, crumbles and disintegrates, sending the Marauder, while everyone on the shore watches.
"Guys, look!" James said.
"It's falling apart!" Meowth said.
"Glad I got cut out before that happened," Jessie said.
The monster completely falls apart and Celebi leads Sora, Sam and Pikachu out in time. But the boys soon realize that Celebi is weak again.
"Celebi?" Sora asked.
Sora, Sam, and Pikacbu land safely near the shore. Sora takes Celebi in his arms. Everyone else soon comes running along with Suicune.
"Sora's alright!" Kairi said.
"And so is Sam," Tracey said.
"They've got Celebi, too," Towa said.
They see Sora holding Celebi, but something was absolutely wrong.
"What's wrong?" Kairi asked.
"I don't know. Something bad. We got out, and Celebi was weakening," Sora said.
"Weakening?" Naminé asked.
"No," Ash said.
Celebi then starts to shrivel up and started to turn into a brownish color.
"Celebi!" Sakura gasped.
"What's happening?" Leaf asked.
"Celebi's dying," Tracey said.
"The water! Get it into the water!" Riku said.
"Eevee!" Eevee said.
Sora places Celebi into the lake, but nothing happens.
"It's not working!" Sora said.
"But why not?" Lyra asked.
"The forest is hurt. The water's tainted. The lake is dying," Towa said.
"But then..." Kris said.
"No," Naminé said. Diana then remembered a known fact about Suicune.
"Wait a second! Suicune has the power to make the water clean again!" Diana said.
"She's right! Suicune can purify water whenever it's dirty!" Ethan said.
"Suicune. If you can clean the water, we can save Celebi," Sam said.
Suicune agreed and proceeds to clean the water in the Lake of Life. Everyone were awestruck by what they saw.
"The legend's true," Mr. White said.
"The North Wind saved the lake," Diana said.
"Now, let's try again," Sora said, putting Celebi in the water again. "Celebi? The water's clean again." But Celebi doesn't wake up.
"It isn't working," Towa said.
"Alright, then. We'll keep trying," Sora said as he sits down and pulls out a berry. "See? These are the berries we found in the forest. Here you go." He tried to feed it one, but it slips out of his hand. "It's okay. Plenty more where that came from." He tries to feed Celebi some more, but it was no use. Tears builds up in Sora's eyes. "Celebi, come on! Open your eyes! Please." Tears started to fill all of their eyes. His voice starts to break. "No. No! NO!" His cry echoes throughout the woods. "This is not happening... It can't be happening... It can't..."
"Pika," Pikachu said, crying.
"Celebi didn't do anything wrong! It was a human being who forced Celebi to destroy the forest! Celebi never even had a choice! And now...it can't have a choice. NOW IT'S TOO LATE TO CHOOSE BECAUSE CELEBI IS GONNA DIE!" Sam cried.
"It was all because of what that monster has done! This wouldn't have happened if it weren't for him!" Kairi cried.
"Eevee," Angel cried, sharing Kairi's pain.
Even the Pokémon mourn for Celebi. Suddenly, something happens in the sky above and, despite the tears. Eevee sees it.
"Eevee!" Eevee exclaimed. This catches everyone's attention. The trees gave off the same glow when Celebi used its power to time travel.
"What's going on?" Ash asked.
"I don't know," Tracey said.
"Grandma," Diana said.
"I know that sound. The Voice of the Forest," Towa said.
"The Voice of the Forest?" Sora asked.
From the time hole, multiple Celebi come out. They lift their departed comrade from Sora's arms and it levitates and they all proceed to heal their comrade. In no time, Celebi is brought back to life. Everyone were awestruck.
"Look!" Lyra said.
"Marill!" Marill said.
"It's a miracle!" Kris exclaimed.
"The legends are true after all," Riku said.
The spirits of the future and the past can travel through time as well, and so they've all come.
"They must've sensed that their friend was in trouble," Sam said.
"And came here to help," Sora said.
Soon, the Celebi of the past and future head back through the time hole before it closes. Celebi flies around as everyone is happy to see their friend alive and well. But suddenly, the Marauder comes out of the water and grabs Celebi. Everyone gasped when they saw him.
"It's the hunter!" Sam said.
"Now I have everything I need, to rule the world!" Marauder said.
"I don't think so!" Sora said, summoning his two Keyblades as Marauder was taking off by jetpack. "Stop!" Sora casts a stop spell and he freezes in time. He didn't know what just happened and why he wasn't going forward. He jumps in the air and sends Pikachu in the air. "Use Iron Tail on that jetpack!" Pikachu swings his tail and it struck the jetpack. Once Marauder was freed from the stop spell, he felt the jetpack explode and he fell straight down below. Sora grabbed Celebi as Pikachu lands on his shoulders. He lands right on his feet. Marauder roared as he stood on his feet. He growled in absolute rage. His rage was fueling the darkness in his heart.
"YOU DAMN BRAT! YOU STOOD IN MY WAY FOR THE LAST TIME!" Marauder roared as the darkness became stronger every second. "THINGS COULD HAVE GONE A WHOLE LOT DIFFERENTLY IF YOU HADN'T INTERFERED! AND IT'S GONNA COST YOU BIG TIME!" The darkness overtook him and he began to transform into a giant Heartless. His body is now black, resembling the Darkside. He has sharp, knife-like teeth and sharp claws. He has his trademark mask and his vase is also part of his body. The yellow eyes are over his mask. He has large demonic wings. Might as well call his Heartless Vicious.
"What just happened to him?" Diana asked.
"He turned into a Heartless. The darkness in his heart has taken completely over him. He kept on feeding that darkness and it turned him into the monster we see right now," Ash said. Kairi, Riku, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra stood before the Vicious and summoned their Keyblades and engage the new Heartless along with Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Marill. Marauder's Heartless made the first attack by bringing his claws down at them, but they all scattered. "Bring it down, no matter what!" Ash said.
The Vicious has called some Neoshadows, so Kris casts her magnet spell and it pulls them all in. Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Marill attacked with a combo of Electro Ball, Shadow Ball, Swift, and Bubble Beam, and destroyed the Neoshadows caught in it. Leaf and Lyra struck down the remaining Neoshadows as the rest swung at the Vicious.
They struck the giant Heartless hard with their Keyblades. Kairi, Ash, and Ethan cast their fire spells at the Vicious as Kris casts her blizzard spell and hits it hard. Sora and Riku ran up his arms and head right for the head. Sora and Riku swung their Keyblades against the mask, making it shatter. The Keyblade wielding Pokémon Trainers gave Marauder's Heartless one last slash altogether. The Vicious fell to the ground as he started to fade away from existence until Marauder's Heartless was completely dissolved. All that remained of him was his destroyed mask.
"He's gone," Sam said.
Suicune prepares to leave.
"Thanks for helping to save Celebi, Suicune. We won't forget it," Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu agreed.
Suicune nods and takes off.
"Goodbye, Suicune!" Sam said.
Celebi soon hovers over the lake and starts to glow.
"It looks like Celebi's getting ready to travel back in time. And I think it wants to take you along, Sam," Towa said.
"Then you better get going," Riku said.
"Can you really bring me back, Celebi?" Sam asked. Celebi answered.
"Looks like you're going home, Sam," Sora said.
"Yeah, I guess so," Sam sadly said.
"Don't worry. It won't matter. Cause wherever you are, or whenever you are, we'll always be friends," Sora said, holding out his hand.
"Thank you, Sora! You're a great friend! Thank you all for everything! Maybe I'll see you again! Someday!" Sam said.
"You too," Sora said.
"Take care, Sam," Kairi said.
"We'll see you," Ash said.
"Goodbye," Sam said.
"Goodbye!" Everyone all said as Sam and Celebi goes on through time. The hole then closes.
"I'm glad to have met you, Sam," Sora said.
After everything that has happened, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Tracey, Sakura, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Marill, Togepi, Azurill, and the Pichu made it back into town on Mr. White's boat, and they made contact with Professor Oak.
"You were right, professor. That was a Suicune we saw before," Tracey said.
"Yeah, and we met a Celebi, too! It even traveled through time!" Sakura added.
"Well, well. Sounds like you saw some very rare and highly unusual Pokémon put there," Professor Oak said. He notices Sora looking down. "What's the matter, Sora? You haven't said a single word yet. Didn't you enjoy your little adventure in the forest, too?"
"Oh. I did, professor. But, you see, I met this Pokémon Trainer and we got to be friends. But, I... I just don't think I'm ever gonna see him again. He decided to go back to where he came from, professor. To another time," Sora said.
"I wouldn't worry, Sora. True friendships can withstand the test of time, and I have a feeling this one will. I'm sure you and Sam will be friends forever," Professor Oak assured. Sora felt better.
"You're right, professor. Friendships can," Sora said, smiling. The ferry whistles. "Ooh, sorry to cut this short, but we gotta get going."
Something struck Kairi when Professor Oak mentioned Sam's name and they didn't.
"Wait, how did he know about Sam?" Kairi asked. Sora and the others all looked at her.
"Now that you mentioned it, we never mentioned Sam, but somehow he knew," Riku said. Sora was just as puzzled. He figured Sam knew about Sora's necklace. He then realized something.
"Sam," Sora said in his thoughts. He looked in the sky. "You couldn't be-"
Meanwhile, in Pallet Town, Professor Oak sits in his lab looking through a book.
"It seems like it happened only yesterday," Professor Oak said
It's soon revealed that Professor Oak was looking at the same sketchbook Sam had, and inside is the drawing of Pikachu, Angel, and Celebi sleeping, indicating that Sam and Professor Oak are one in the same.
We look into Sam in his life after he has returned from the future. He met up with someone who greatly resembled Sora, but he has shorter brown hair and blue eyes. He wore the same crown necklace.
Years passed right to Professor Oak on the day Sora and Karen were born. He knew it was the same boy he met when he, himself, was a boy.
Back in the forest...
"This is amazing. This wonderful water has washed away all my annoying aches and pains. I could just float along like this forever," Jessie said.
"Me too," James agreed.
"I don't even care if we didn't catch Pikachu, because all I wanna do is float in the lake like a fallen leaf," Meowth said.
"Me too," Jessie and James said. Marauder's Tyranitar, Sneasel, and Scizor were now freed from their Darkballs. They were purified thanks to Kairi's light. The Pokémon were no longer evil.
"Looks like Team Rocket's, floating away," Team Rocket said.
Celebi along the forest was saved and Sam has returned home to his own present. Sora and his friends knew Professor Oak was right when the bonds of friendship was a powerful thing, even time has no power over it...
